421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Trade Velocitycoin for Netcoin on: December 31, 2013, 03:06:56 AM
Anyone want to trade Velocitycoin for Netcoin make your offer
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Altcoin bubble collapse? on: December 31, 2013, 02:09:05 AM
one thing that I learned is that even scam coins can make you money. Megacoin taught me that. When it first launched I could have bought it for .000002btc, but there were a few ppl that mined Millions in the first couple days so I didn't invest, I came back here 6months later and Megacoin was worth $1 WTF was up with tht haha

Thats the 24 million dollar question.....

If you've got 10k spare then do it, if you need 10k to pay your bills then don't !

I built a rig and had to turn it off because I couldn't afford to pay my own electric bill, so $10k is out of the question. I read tht amd is coming out with new GPU's tht are going to be able to pull 2MH/s on one GPU, I cant find the thread now though but is this true?
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: December 30, 2013, 10:39:18 PM

Based on current conversion you are looking at $8986 plus carriage and possible import duties, whatever those may be in the USA....

Will it still be profitable once you get one up and running or will it turn out just like sha-256
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: December 30, 2013, 10:31:18 PM
The last nail to the coffin. 25MH/s price is now about 8k€ for EU customers! I was going to order one but this VAT / import shit bounced the price too much.
about how much U.S. dollars do you think this will run? and are they shipping to u.s.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW cryptocurrency combining all cryptocurrencies benefits in only one! on: December 29, 2013, 09:36:41 PM
A lot of coins here are just copy paste coins of litecoin. If I were going to make a copy paste coin I rather go with Novacoin, POW/POS, and yah 1 billion coins would be alright as well. Most ppl here think that having less coins produced means that their coin is going to be more successful but as we have seen that's not the case
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Funded College Education on: December 29, 2013, 12:24:55 PM
I guess this forum is filled with so much scammers tht even a humble person such as myself will be bashed no matter what progress or efforts I would have shared with you guys in my schooling. This thread is being filled with nothing but negativity, I thought this community would have reacted differently to some one that is actually trying to make a positive contribution to society, but I guess I was wrong.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] WORST scam currency? on: December 29, 2013, 09:33:56 AM
U.S. dollar is the biggest scam, heres a quote from a publication made by the federal reserve modern money mechanics.

"In the United States neither paper currency nor deposits have value as commodities. Intrinsically, a dollar bill is just a piece of paper, deposits merely book entries."
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Funded College Education on: December 29, 2013, 09:16:48 AM
College is overrated and is not for everyone.  Have you considered vo-tech schools?

I'm really set on trying to peruse a future career as a molecular biologist/clinical scientist. I've been pretty good in science my whole life and would like to do clinical research one day and help make a contribution in the medical field. I will accomplish this however, it may take along while lol because I have to go to school part-time for now.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Funded College Education on: December 29, 2013, 08:28:04 AM
You're taking like no credits per semester and started off with some really low classes. It's gonna take you years at this rate.

Some ppl actually have to try and stay alive while going to school. I was going to school and working at the same time. Currently I am not able to just focus on school, but that doesn't mean I don't have intellectual talent.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Funded College Education on: December 29, 2013, 04:02:17 AM
Well I'm going to give away a Scrypt miner to someone that help me, so its not totally altruistic. Anyway thanks for the good vibes. God bless

I wasn't judging your current work, but God bless you and your team on this path brother!
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NETcoin UP +236.95 % today!! WTF on: December 25, 2013, 01:46:52 AM
The coin has a great name and logo if it survives the millions of coins about to be dump I may just buy in.. even if it's at a higher price but for now I'll watch. I just hate to see a coin with a great logo and name with horrible specs perhaps the devs could lower the block reward to make it dump resistant in the future... otherwise you guys will end up like GLD

Hi there, I was the one that took on this coin. The original dev netdude didn't have the time to care for it like he should so I did the honors...

Yeah it had some early incentive mining for sure, it was only for like a week and I missed that! I think I caught the tail end, as in the last half a day... I continued to mine it and I was promoting the hell out of it in cryptocointalk, just go look at the threads and you will see meee all over the place Smiley

Then I decided I would like to have my own forum with some great features so I started that up which ate ALL of my time for a long time. But as has been said I didn't hide, I was very active in cryptsy promoting it.

This is no pump and dump as far as me and the team are concerned and I was not involved with any kind of shenanigans regarding the move to BTC, I mean I told people about it openly on the forum via our chatbox.

I also didn't buy any beforehand as I have a load anyway so no need.

Let me tell you, that great logo I paid 3 million Netcoins for. It was at a time when that 3 million was worth $100... It was made by a world renowned artist named Joe Jones and he took a leap of faith in me to produce that for such a little fee (at the time)... I funded 2 game sites costing me a further 2 million. I did an expansive giveaway both on CCT and on my forum, I have posting rewards on the forum too which I pay to this day. As well as the bank interest and whatnot

I also paid 1 million coins for a wallet I never receieved (thanks mullick). I mean the list goes on and on...

I have worked my little behind off for 16 hours a day for the past 3 months, no joke! I have barely left the house, so it does kinda nark me somewhat to hear my efforts being called a pump and dump merely because we didn't use a forum of your choosing. But hey man no hard feelings, I know this scene is hard and there are a lot of scams/p&d but that is why I do this! I hate that non-sense and wanted to make a difference!

I have paid £6750 on the Netcoin casino, does this sound like some p&d to you? lol

We do have a great community with some really awesome folk that I love to death as they are just so helpful with me and the other forum users. We have 12 people in the netcoin foundation all with different skill sets and it is amazing to work with them!

Time will show you wrong, I will prove you wrong. Wink

2014 is going to be the year of Netcoin, just you watch what I have in store my friend. Smiley

EDIT: Oh wow, sorry, that was quite the rant Shocked lol

EDIT: "Instamined trash" That cut me deep Sad
as you said you took over the project after it was created so the instamine was no fault of your's, so take no offence. However, I fear tht those carrying millions do not share your vision, but like I said I will wait for the redistribution of wealth and may later join the cause. I believe in crypto but most here are in it to get rich quick
