421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC to $100 soon? on: September 18, 2022, 11:46:22 PM
If there’s a new progress and development with ETH, most probably it will rise as well but not until we reach the bull market. ETC hype alone can’t pump the price that much and $100 target is quiet not that high considering it’s previous peak. The move for ETC might be in relation on the update of ETH, let’s see if this token is still worth it or better to own ETH at all instead of buying a fork token.

But Brownlee can always make a difference, that's why Ginebra will always get him as their import. There are times in the past when SMB have a healthy Fajardo and yet Brownlee can still beat them. I think next to SMB, Ginebra will have a chance of winning a championship also, which makes this commissioner's cup more interesting to watch.

I also think that way. Brownlee does make a big difference. Aside from his athleticism, he also played a long time with Ginebra. They already know each other and have good chemistry. I do not know who the import of San Miguel will be, but I guess there will be adjustments between the locals and the import. While Ginebra will not go through that adjustment. We will see how these teams will perform once the conference starts.
Ginebra will still be at a good position here since they have a good chemistry with Brownlee and they already know how to play the game so this will be a big challenge to other team. SMB having a good import will make them a better team, I’m also not familiar with their imports but I’m sure the locals will adjust and that could be a big game for every team. I’m rooting for new teams to play their best and be on top, this is still possible this conference.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Few crypto thoughts of the day on: September 18, 2022, 10:33:49 PM
1. The minimum deep that BTC dived to was 17,500$ do you still think we are going below 13,000$? If yes please explain.
2. Does it matter if you build a crypto portfolio at 15k per BTC or 10k per BTC.
3. In 2020 covid was the reason why BTC crumbled to 3,500$ what will happen in 2023 that will bring the same deep dive to crypto market.
4. Crypto keeps looking stronger every year, it's getting more recognised and big players of the world are saying BTC is a better store of value than the dollar for long term, are they right.
1. Expect for the worst, Bitcoin might continue to aim for the bottom as long as the world economy is still down, Bitcoin is following the trend a d a price of $13k is possible so stay cautious.
2. Build your portfolio now that is composed of many good coins and good projects, don’f wait for that level because there’s still no assurance that we will hit that kind of bottom.
3. 2023 can be a bullish year because we are already experiencing bear market and usually it didn’t last longer so I’m optimistic that in 2023, the bottom will he above $25k.
4. Store of value probably yes, but because of its volatility I don’t think its ideal to depend on this that much, better to stay in profit always.
424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone think it will be much harder to buy bitcoin later on down the road? on: September 18, 2022, 10:11:38 PM
It will be harder, for sure, especially if the price appreciated that much in value. Also, by then, a lot would probably be hoarding bitcoin for themselves in hopes of getting a lot of return in the end. It will be scarcer in the spot market, and I don't think the common people will be able to buy it that easily. In terms of restrictions or regulations, it's a different story, and it's extremely possible that this comes first before bitcoin appreciates in value.
Every Bitcoin will be mined soon and that will be the start of scarcity especially where there’s already a huge adoption in the market, people might not sell Bitcoin that much because of the rising value though some will continue to buy and sell but it will not last. We have a better opportunity now to own more Bitcoin and be ready for the future, better to take that opportunity now and you wont regret it.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 18, 2022, 09:55:46 PM
Helping others people in need is a good one, good karma will come back to you but of course don’t do this if you are just expecting something in return, do this because you really want to help. I’m not a gambling addict as well, I can give some financial help but not all, other way to help can also be done. You might have more budget for gambling but for once in a while, never forget to be more humble and help other people too.
426  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Forex vs Crypto trading on: September 17, 2022, 11:14:42 PM

Mas ok paren talaga yung Crypto trading since mas flexible ito and mas maraming option. With regards to TA analysis, almost the same lang naman and sa tingin ko mas ok paren talaga si cryptomarket.
Parehas lang ang TA sa forex and crypto, time is the only difference and syempre yung volatility.

If you can focus in one market only mas better, kase in trading you need to spend a lot of time to this and mahirap pagsabayin ang parehong market.
427  Economy / Gambling / Re: Professional Roadbike Cycling on: September 17, 2022, 11:09:04 PM
There’s lot of cycling events already but I don’t know if there’s a bet on that since there’s always a huge participants for that event and honestly, it’s hard to know the top players for that event. This can be more exciting if it’s only available for limited participants which is easy to see and place a bet. If you are planning to have this option on your site OP then i guess it can attract many bettors since this is really new to many.
Yes, there is a good number of cycling events, but it is quite hard task to make a good return out of the events. I haven't come across sites having cycle races or maybe I couldn't have gone through the platforms perfectly. Here it is much about random choice, because we don't know who makes the win among the huge number of participants.
This is why there's a less interest about Cycling bet because it's really hard to predict who will gonna win and not all are familiar with the participants. This can be a good event if well organized, I mean if there's a hosting site to handle the bet then it's pretty good. In pandemic, cycling becomes more popular in my place we already have events like this and there's already a bike lane in public road which is not available on pre pandemic scenario. Good luck on your research about this OP, maybe it's feasible or not at all let's find out.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Outperforms Bitcoin Trading Operations on: September 17, 2022, 10:49:33 PM
Ethereum is best coin after BTC. Btc did well in previous years and gained most of marketcap while Etherum is still accumulating supply. Ethereum Usecase is bigger because of having Blockchain and many of Project using it.
NFt and gaming trend attract so much investor into crypto and they all use Etherum for this purpose. We may see more Ethereum accumulation in NfT bull run
There’s a lot of instances that Bitcoin is being out performed by the altcoins and I see this as a normal and healthy scenario for the cryptomarket. ETH is a good coin and there’s no doubt about this one, now that there’s also an update with them the probably we might see a more expensive ETH but again, BTC is the king and no one can replace it on top not even on a bull market.
Altcoins are more active when it comes to trading, and you can see some of them really achieve 100% increase over a month while Bitcoin remains on a lower percentage but that doesn't mean Bitcoin is being outdated, it's just that there are times for Altcoins and there's time for Bitcoin. ETH did a great job over the years and being able to stay below Bitcoin is already a big achievement. Now talking about the update, I can say that this can strengthen ETH Network and probably in the next bull run we might see another peak for the top coins. Bitcoin will still remain the top coin, and even if altcoins outperformed Bitcoin in trading profit, there's still none of them can replace Bitcoin.
429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Either Bitcoin will end or we will be at the peak of inflation on: September 17, 2022, 10:40:11 PM
Bitcoin does not end and will never do so because bitcoin is weaken in charges but it does not implies about its ending point. Due to inflation numerous coins become lower and depreciated but in my opinion bitcoin is not such a weaken that it can be deliberate to be end once but will go ahead for further increasing points in coming days.
In a crisis like this, Bitcoin is also vulnerable and that's why the price continues to drop and even if we hit higher price, looks like the resistance is still stronger and we have to deal with that. Bitcoin will not end here, this is just one of many challenges to come and we have to endure this one because good things is yet to come. The inflation continues to rise, though it become more faster because of the crisis but with this, no one can stop it.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: "Be your own Bank with Bitcoin" - A reminder why this is so important! on: September 17, 2022, 10:31:18 PM
...
for some people this amount is small - but for the other it is more than the life time saving
So nothing can be compared to other.

I commented for the bank. $13,000 isn't a lot for a bank. We see banks that can't even pay $13,000, events like this should put our perspective on Bitcoin on a more solid foundation. When the fragile structure of the current financial system falters for a moment, we encounter problems that create a domino effect. We are experiencing all the environmental conditions necessary for us to question everything. Beyond theory, there is an experimental environment open to practice. These are the events where the perspective on Bitcoin can receive positive feedback from all humanity.
Wondering why banks need to freeze the account of many just to prevent any economic crisis but in general, people are already suffering and them without access to their money it will really be hard because expenses doesn't stop at all. I cannot blame that lady for doing this but maybe she overdone it and whatever here excuse is, she still did a crime and probably will suffer more. This is an eye opener, we should not put too much money on a bank because it is beyond our control and we should start anticipating now for the worst case scenario, especially with a threat of WW3 because that can affect all of us. Having your crypto wallet might help, but don't overconfident about that you still need a backup for cash.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) Price Prediction. Will LUNC price hit $0.001 in 2022? on: September 16, 2022, 11:30:35 PM
In the meantime, our long-term LUNC price prediction for 2022 is bullish since it cannot break the current support level anytime soon. We can expect LUNC to reach $0.001 in 2022.
That's not that big and a more reasonable price once the update push through. Many are very optimistic with LUNC because of their plan to burn the supply on a more aggressive way, though some negative news appear right before the update, I think this can't affect much the project. DK will face that consequences while LUNC will still focus on their plan and updates. Let's see if this target can achieve this year, almost 3 months left before the year end probably enough time to see some growth.
432  Economy / Economics / Re: King Charles pays no inheritance tax on the Queen's $750M private estate on: September 16, 2022, 11:15:40 PM
It seems hard to complain about this without being interpreted as ungrateful. After all, the Queen has done a lot for Great Britain as her head of state. He has spent his entire life serving his people and his country. This was the least he deserved for all that he had given over these past 64 years. It looks like it will take a lengthy national conversation about tax justice to re-raise.

You have a point, but the thing is, this family has been living on an estate funded by the public for centuries, and in a time wherein the government is already handled by the representatives from the public, I think the royal family should only serve a ceremonial purpose and not meddle with the government with decisions and such. Also, they need to start paying regular taxes like the regular people, but what do I know? The majority of the people in the United Kingdom still holds the royal family in a high regard that I don't think this monarchy will be abolished any time soon.
There's a lot of privileges that the royal family is enjoying, and paying taxes might also be part of it. I'm not sure how the estate tax works in UK but its really unfair to see commoner paying their taxes for their small houses while the royal family with a lot of money and huge properties can't even pay taxes simply because of the exemption, this should be address by the public. Well, most of the people in UK still loves the monarchy and the royal family, let's just stays on that and let's see if the monarchy will last longer.
433  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: September 16, 2022, 10:55:00 PM
Mukang nakakaakit talaga yung reward for this season and possible makapasok ka sa top as long as you are willing to invest for the runes and charms. Well, kung ganito na talaga ang labanan i think more gamers will be attracted here and panigurado marami ang magbabalik because of this. If you are still ok to risk some money with axie, siguro worth it ulit itry ito.

434  Economy / Economics / Re: Alert: Important US Inflation news is due today on: September 16, 2022, 10:34:44 PM
Whatever effect that we can think of that will not be on a long-term, it is just for the temporary but not on longtime, it is not capable of causing a change of trend or redirection. The news that will affect bitcoin are those that are talking directly regarding bitcoin like the big players of cryptocurrency, as we had the dump news of bitcoin from Tesla which dragged bitcoin gradually to this level now.
There's an analysis that Bitcoin is somehow connected to the trend of US Market so probably this can also affect the Bitcoin market just like what we are seeing right now. Real inflation in US is really huge, and continuously increasing the interest rate might affect everything, so better to have a good strategy now on how you can approach the market and still make profit. Bitcoin might stay longer in a bear market as long as the world market is still down. Hard to know though how long this temporary down is, this can take years before it recovers.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 16, 2022, 10:24:06 PM
Nah, they've been called out in the senate for this and that's why they've been vocal. But honestly, all they're favoring are the huge and rich teams, especially with the trades. Well, they're worried now because too many players are playing now in B League and other leagues offshore as the player numbers are likely to deteriorate in the near future. Jay Washington who's even likely a veteran already has been offered to play in the B League and has got better pay than what he's receiving in the PBA. It's likely that B League is going to get and extract even veteran and retired PBA players soon.

With what is happening, PBA will surely find a way to make changes to improve the league, they might not be able to match the salary standards offered by B-League and other leagues overseas, but they have to find a way to make players stay by adding more teams to accommodate more players, that way we won't easily notice who leaves the PBA due to lots of good players still in the league.
They can't really match the salaries being offered in the other leagues because the cost of living there is different and we're on the lower part. That's why players that have been offered to play there have seen the opportunity that they'll never see in the PBA.
That one you've mentioned about adding team is one of it, it should be a regional additional and just like the other pro leagues in our country, they should do that so more fans and supports will get. But, I don't think they'll think about that, these commissioners are only thinking about themselves because they're paid well by the rich and farm teams in PBA.
Adding team in PBA is not easy, it cost a lot of money and right now it looks like PBA is just started to recover from the big drop that cause by pandemic so it's not profitable yet for PBA teams. Players going abroad is by their own choice, probably they will get more benefits when playing abroad and we cannot blame them if they accept he offer. What PBA needs to do is to focus on making the league better again, there's a lot of issues that they need to address PBA should start working on that.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: September 15, 2022, 11:42:19 PM
Ended up on the same situation as well before and the worst is, I was forced to borrow money because I can't stop playing and having that bet.
Well, this is bad if left uncontrolled but it's pretty normal in gambling, that's why we have to set a limit always and commit on that. Being responsible is not easy but we should practice this all the time to avoid any financial problem and gambling addiction.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else feeling let down by crypto Play to Earn gaming sector ? on: September 15, 2022, 11:01:24 PM
No, I expected it all to crash the way it did. It was a completely unsustainable business model.

Until there's actual technology that makes sense behind it, it will never work in any long-term meaningful sense.
Most of them died already while some are still having a hard time to rise again, with Axie development I don't think it's enough to bring back the good old days. Many lose their trust already on P2E games, sadly this technology didn't last for years since the hype already ended.

If P2E is able to offer a more consistent platform that can give good profit to the players them we might see them on a good position again, but until they made such growth, P2E will remain just like and ordinary game. Competition though seems to be more effective with a high reward, this might be the next trend for P2E.
438  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto adoption index 2022 - Chainanalysis on: September 15, 2022, 10:46:14 PM
That's a great list of countries that are slowly becoming more crypto friendly, I'm shock to see Philippines on the list since I know we are still not that crypto friendly compare to other countries but yes, with a help of many P2E games before many adopt cryptocurrency it's just that they are just riding with the hype and most of those are really not familiar about cryptocurrency and that's why many lose the money as well and they lose their interest again with cryptocurrency. With that list positively, I hope more countries will become more crypto friendly, it's good to feel that you can actually use your Bitcoin when you do travel abroad.
439  Economy / Economics / Re: Queen Elizabeth II's death may pose financial constraints for King Charles III on: September 14, 2022, 11:47:57 PM
It has a huge effect on the financial status of huge countries but it will only take time for them to heal and adjust and I'm sure that things will still get back to normal in the coming months. Queen Elizabeth is a big loss but things shouldn't stop and end there. The UK has to move forward and stand firm especially since we're all amid an economic crisis.
The death of the Queen really sad but then again, this is already anticipated and UK government already prepared for this years ago. I’ve seen a documentary about how UK will take action once the queen died and now they are doing it the so called Operation London Bridge. Financial problem will be there but I know UK will still stand firm with their new king but for now let them mourn first.

they've been enjoying their riches for the past decades. so for me, we should not really be worried about this. there are other things to worry about in this world. they should know by now how to handle this potential problem, and know what to do next. for sure, at some point they discussed what will happen if the Queen died. right?
This is not just about the royal family, we are talking about financial problem here in UK itself and looking at their economy and inflation rate, they are really on a critical stage where they can also experience recession. Yes, I also believe they already prepared for this one though with the trust of the public to King Charles, I think that is one of the problem. Let’s see if King Charles will give up the throne to Prince Charles as the rumor said just to save the monarchy since younger King are more fit to do his duties, let’s see.
