And 1 mH costs as little as .17 btc at Litecoin GEAR. Unlike Genesis Mining shares do not expire after one year. Also unlike scrypt.cc Litecoin GEAR regularly issues dividends to share owners in the form of extra shares, increasing value of their investment.

Meh, can't mine Megacoin or receive payment in BTC with those  Tongue

A child came running into the farmhouse. "No wonder that mama pig is so big," she yelled. "There's a bunch of little pigs blowing her up!"

  Domain Name: COINSBIT.COM

Should I email Alwin and ask him/her to comment on this thread?

You can email Alwin, but he's from coinsbit.com and your issue is with coinsbin.com  Wink
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: May 29, 2014, 06:17:34 PM
No no no  Grin

Roughly scrypt.cc costs way less then twice as much, thanks to market value.
1Mhs at genesis costs 0.31 BTC
1Mhs at scrypt.cc costs aroin 0.42BTC now

And today, thanks to Megacoin's birthday and the addition of Megacoin to Genesis-Mining there's a temporary nice MEGA promo there. So yeah, I have 2Mhs now (mining Megacoin of course...). And I still have and will hold my hashes at scrypt.cc. GM looks good, but for me I like the ways of scrypt.cc. More fun. Though, I have both now, so twice the fun Tongue

YAY for genesis-mining.com and YAY for Megacoin which is celebrating it's 1st birthday today!  Grin

Good luck with genesis mining then. I have an account there, though no hashrate yet, cause, well, I don't have the amount available yet that's needed there. scrypt.cc is easier to get into as you can start with 1KH/s and build along, all to your own liking.

After one year, at genesis mining you'll have exactly no hashrate left and you'll need to pay again (though less probably as their khs drops in value also) to keep on mining. scrypt.cc's hashrate keeps on mining for you as long as you want it. You may even decide to sell. Or just part of it. Or buy a bit extra frequently to keep up with difficulty issues. The flexibility is excellent.

I'ld say scrypt.cc's KH/s are worth more because of those advantages. Maybe not as much, but we, the buyers and sellers decide that, not scrypt.cc.

I still plan to get some hashrate at genesis, as they seem to have a great offer, though (too) costly for the small miner to get into. And more importantly, I like to spread the risk and not bet all on one horse. 10 Mhs would be nice, but I'd rather have that on several clouds. scrypt.cc is (one of the clouds) providing those investment coins for me  Grin

... our rig hosting providers charge us a fixed amount of bitcoin ...
You know the saying, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime
Same applies here. You 're giving the provider bitcoins, which is nice for a day. Instead, give them a miner and teach them how to mine their own coins and they'll never have to bother you for coins again.

Well, not never, but don't let them know!
428  Local / Markt / Re: Vroege (Batch 1) Alpha Technology 18Mh/s Viper pre order on: May 27, 2014, 03:35:44 PM
Kleine aanpassing, vers van de pers:

The new hash rates are as follows:
18Mh/s => Minimum 50Mh/s
90Mh/s => Minimum 250Mh/s

Daarentegen is de gratis hashrate van de cloud mining service geen onderdeel meer.
429  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 26, 2014, 10:20:12 AM
There is no reassuring data available, kaned. Just like scrypt.cc though. Not much info available, yet both have been active and paying for a while.

Still, companies that are considered legit charge criminal prices and/or fees for sure.
Companies that are not generally considered legit might be criminal or not.
Which option is better? Losing for sure or losing maybe

BTW, average Bitcoin difficulty increase since March is almost 16%, average since January is 17%/18%, cant remember exactly.
430  Local / Markt / Re: Vroege (Batch 1) Alpha Technology 18Mh/s Viper pre order on: May 26, 2014, 08:47:14 AM

Mooi man Smiley

Dacht even dat ik de sessies niet goed onthouden werden want ik moest steeds opnieuw inloggen, maar nu gaat het weer goed.

Geen plannen voor Engelstalige bezoekers?

lol make sure you do  Grin you don't want to end up camping near a Wallmart using free WIFI and mining bitcoins now , do you ?  Grin (JK !)

... If I had know about such possibilities earlier then I would have quit my job and moved into a tent with free wifi a year ago.

When you got the time please tell us what do you think about that pre order thing , and thanks for confirming our payment

Yeah, the pre-order... I'm not too wild on the idea, and I think a lot of a people don't like it. Not anymore anyway. Especially after Hash Fast and KNC Miner and BFL and whomever selling pre-orders only to deliver late/deliver not/deliver faulty equipment/deliver equipment not up to specs/ and so on. The general goodwill toward pre-orders is declining. I would not do a pre-order easily, or even not-so-easily. Crypto is volatile in much more then just value. I rather pay for something I can have instantly.

I understand the benefit though: as a business you would have coins to invest in new hardware. But there are other aspects that play a role as well in your case. Who would invest those coins? Getting new people will be hard, or near impossible. You have no reputation yet, your website is very basic, the overall handling of things is manual and not much is automated, blah blah, all sort of little things that doesn't make you more appealing to the general public.
Looking at several aspects like that, I'd say existing customers are key to the success of your business. Some existing customers will buy pre-orders, new customers wouldn't. Focus on existing customers, give them benefits, and let them "advertise" for you. Give them options to reinvest their income for a discounted amount of hashrate once they've accumulated enough. That is almost like pre-order. Benefit for you is their reinvestment profit is available for investing in new hardware, and benefit for the customer is he can reinvest at a cheaper rate. If customers are happy, then they will build your reputation, which is one of the requirements for a better general appeal Smiley

Does that help?

Cool! I can quit my job on Monday then  Cheesy

I'll respond to the new question later, tomorrow. I'm too sleepy now to make sense.
436  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage, quite profitable BTC investment, make 1-3% ROI per day on: May 23, 2014, 08:10:04 PM
I've invested a small sum so I guess that does not make me a naysayer. I keep in mind that the place might disappear though. But that's normal procedure as crap is all around us.

I was just wondering why a trader would make so little from such a big jump. But if I understand correctly Bitcoin-Trader, unlike their name suggests, does not do trading really. Just move coins from here to there and so on.  So, no, I don't understand. That's why I posted my thought, hoping that someone kind enough would take the time to explain a bit.

The whole scam discussion is something I won't get into. It's impossible nowadays to open any thread here without stumbling into scamornot discussions. Roll Eyes
437  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ♦♦ GIGAMiner.net - BTC mining contracts from 1.5$ per GH/s (Get 15% discount) ♦♦ on: May 23, 2014, 07:52:48 AM
The short term contracts are a good thing, as unfortunately profitability is short lived.

SSL is indeed a must in the crypto world. The amount of hack/fishing attempts is off the scale.
It would also improve somewhat on the trust thing, although personally I don't think a certificate makes any site more thrustworthy Smiley

Last but not least, I get that you're a small company and need to keep a lot of things in mind. Investing isn't done easily and can ruin an entire business if done without proper consideration. Still, think about a sort of referral program. At this stage it's the best way to grow Gigaminer.net, I think. I'm perfectly willing to help think up something

Oh, I wondered what the B stands for and was afraid to ask  Cheesy
438  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage, quite profitable BTC investment, make 1-3% ROI per day on: May 23, 2014, 07:19:28 AM
Yah, made me wonder though. Is around 1% not a lousy result for a trader when BTC has gone up like $80 to $100?!
439  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Wladimir van der Laan on: May 19, 2014, 07:50:18 PM
