431  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Some mystery rig in China on: November 08, 2013, 02:27:57 AM
My friend in Shenzhen sent me this pic alluding that it may be a rig in said city.  That's it, no other info.  He asked if we could rent a cheap office and make one too.  I don't know much about mining or equipment, except that I missed the boat.  Still interesting though.  Hopefully more info will come later.

Anyone have any idea what these could be, and how many GH/s this "rig" could do?

to me it looks like is ASIC and not GPU.... not too sure tho..
432  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: free electricity - In what should i invest at moment? on: November 08, 2013, 02:26:49 AM
With the free electricity factor, In what should i invest at moment? I have been thinking on purchasing two Coin Terra 2th with January early shipping. is it worth?

Stop stealing electricity please... but buying cointerra would be a good choice...
433  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: November 08, 2013, 02:24:45 AM
One of my clients sent me a pic of his mine.  All of the rigs are mounted in my mining trays (with tops).

The GPUs are all 7950 Radeons (mostly MSI Twin Frozrs).   Max hash is currently at around 73MH.

Box fan cooling FTW!   Grin

Nice! I guess you better go big or not mine at all.

Nice, im jealous.....
434  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Guide: Building a Solar Powered Mining-Plant on: November 08, 2013, 02:22:42 AM
Nice, but I think the ROI would be better without using solar, can always go to country which electricity is really cheap...
435  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: So, if I wanted to buy 60+ graphics cards on: November 08, 2013, 02:20:57 AM
What would the best way to do so be? I may be in the market for 60+ 7950's or 280 non x cards.

I'd buy the inventory out of most stores, not to mention the rebate limitations.

Not looking for opinions on practicality of such a thing or what I might make/loose, just looking for cards  Wink

Thanks for looking!

After thinking, you should do some research more before buying 60+ GPU... People already developed FPGA and ASIC for Scrypt mining. Now just waiting for production....
436  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Another HashFast delay on: November 08, 2013, 02:19:44 AM
Hopefully the protection would kick in immediately at the end of January instead of actual delivery date + 90 days.   But it's not 100% clear from the email.

Though, come to think of it, the protection at the end of January will still require that you buy 4 rigs in order to host the MPP chips they'll send you. The rigs looks like they'll be around $1000 each, so another $4000 to get you up to 2TB at the end of January (at best).

Or you can buy 400ghs of hashing power today for $4000 (cex.io), or even more GHS with physical hardware that's in-stock, and you'll most likely be better off.

if it deliver the MPP after 90 days, the difficulty might have gone up 10 times... Its as good as not giving....

440  Economy / Economics / Re: What are you doing with your bitcoins ? on: November 08, 2013, 02:12:47 AM
Nothing, waiting for the price to hit $990 and sell it, not going for $1,000 cause everyone is aiming to sell at that level..
