DeGea has already extended his contract but I don't really know the plans of ETH, if United signs Andre Onana who is he going to use as his first choice goalkeeper. Onana is Inter Milan's first choice keeper, he's already doing well for himself on goal and will not like to come and play second fiddle to DeGea at United. I don't know if ETH is going to sign him and let him continue this season with Inter Milan because it will be disrespectful to bring him in and relegate DeGea to the bench.

I also didn't knew this but I am only posting this after checking- De Gea actually did agreed to extend but United backed out [1] with even lower salary which is yet to be signed by De Gea. It does seems that United priority is Andre Onana right now as first team goalkeeper instead of De Gea. Well there are some harsh choices that a manager has to make and it has to be made in order to lift the level of performance of a club. It's a tough one but if this doesn't works out then he will also have to face criticism from United fans also.

At first De Gea agreed to a contract extension but it was revised by Manchester United regarding De Gea's salary and I think it will be a bit of a disappointment for De Gea he seems to be being ignored by the club while the manager wants Andre Onana as his main goalkeeper.

I had a whiff of something about De Gea taking a deep cut in his wages a while ago and something like that. It really must be tough for him as United are now making things hard for De Gea to agree on a contract extension if it is actually true. Surely must feel bad when club is turning back on the goalkeeper who served them long.

The hunt is getting more interesting Harry Kane now knows that Spurs want 100 million, to come back to Manchester United will he be able to afford such a big offer? I think if Erik Ten Hag can get Harry Kane it will capitalize on their strategy of challengers for the coming season, but I think Spurs will be hard enough to sell him if a player has reached an agreement then that is a sign he will move on.

In my opinion, it must not be an issue when it wasn't when they got Antony and Sancho. Since it will be a bidding war with Bayern if *United* joins, United might want to speed up the negotiations if they really seek the player. Kane is perfect striker and he will score goals wherever he will go. As for United, they will need to switch some positions for Kane to fit in but I feel like if he joins United then they will have the missing block puzzle in the squad.

Finally, romano has been confirming it if mason mount will be going to the manchester united. The deal between chelsea and MU already reached. Mason mount gonna do medical test and signed agreement with manchester united as soon as possible.
MU agreed to pay more like chelsea wants. Congrats for MU by getting mount from chelsea.

Now its next step Andre Onana from Inter   [1] . It will depend a lot on De Gea's decision but I really like what United are targeting in this transfer market. It would be important to see if they will join Bayern in Harry Kane's race as ten Haag also wants the England striker in his squad. With Spurs also now listening to offers now for Kane, if United meets what Spurs are asking- 100m Euro then it will really put United as a tough contender for the PL next season.

Considering how much they have spent on Sancho (85m Euro) and Antony (95m Euro), this should be easy in my opinion for United if they don't drag this negotiating fee for long.

True. Arsenal have been negotiating with West Ham for Rice since November of last year.

Was it? I actually don't recall him being in the shortlist but surely Rice would have been a name discussed at least back then.

It's hope that Arteta, will get his man through a record-transfer deal.

It's a done deal. Verbal agreement between the clubs West Ham and Arsenal for the amount. It's just that way of payments is being discussed right now.

However, it's important to consider whether spending such a large sum of money guarantees that the player will meet expectations. I just hope that Rice doesn't disappoint due to the enormous amount involved. Arsenal is patiently waiting him join in the midfield alongside Martin Ødegaard and Thomas Partey.

Spending such huge amount on player means a lot of expectations from the player. A manager might ensure that he can take time and adjust but fans are always impatient and with series of bad performance tend to ask questions about the player and his huge transfer. The thing is that it makes the player in spotlight and which is both good and bad. He will be joining Jorginho as Partey is also reported to leave Arsenal this transfer window [1] .

While I may not agree the idea of Xhaka leaving, but eventually he is on his way out just to make room for Rice. We'll see how quickly Arteta can transform this vision into reality.

I also didn't liked the news about Xhaka leaving but we can't hold a player for long. Maybe he wants to go for a new challenge, so we just have to accept and thank him for his contribution for his long stint at Arsenal.

If you look at some of the rumors, there are indeed several big teams eyeing Declan Rice, but I see that Arsenal and Man City don't seem to be asking too much to pay Declan Rice because there are other players they are after. but for such Bayern Munich there is little possibility.
but I was just wondering at his age and at such a high price whether any team would really want to buy him. well, I know Declan Rice has a very good performance because as I said before that a lot of experience but his current age doesn't have a guarantee to come out with a stronger performance.

Seems like you are not as updated with what's going around Declan Rice in transfer market. Arsenal and City were interested in Rice and both clubs made huge bids. Bayern never placed a bid considering his high price tag but they were for sure interested in him. Declan Rice plays very well as holding midfielder and with Xhaka and Partey near to leave Arsenal, it was important for us to sign a holding midfielder. Now Xhaka played as more of an aggressive type midfielder in Arsenal's formation kinda like what Gundogan in City's formation last season. Now I am not sure what kind of role is Arteta planning here for Rice here. I think he is replacement for Xhaka and will he be given a more aggressive role like Xhaka used to have or just like a normal DM which is what his strong role as I have seen till now. So I feel his performance will lot depend on how the DM roles will be distributed by Arteta.

Damn, why the price of this player so expensive even more expensive than Haaland when he was brought in from Dortmund, does he have a good record so far?
I also read other news that Declan Rice has the potential to surpass the highest transfer record in the Premiere League which is currently held by Enzo Fernández when Chelsea signed him for €121 million, honestly I'm not sure it's worth the price it would be better for Manchester City to find another alternative.

Player doesn't have to have a good record. If he perfectly fits and adapts into most roles in his position then his value easily crosses above 50-60m Euro mark nowadays.

About Haaland, let's throw in another example- Mac Allister (35m Euro),what happened was the clubs (City, Liverpool) triggered the release clause in the contract for the player. In such scenarios, the current club of the player has to accept the bid and in that case the player's choice is what matters if multiple clubs have triggered the release clause. In case of Haaland, the release clause was 60m Euro and in case of Mac Allister it was 35 m Euro. Now in case of Rice, there is no release clause present so club can accept/reject any bid they want. The race between City and Arsenal spiked the value and which is why he is going for 100m Euro around.

Arsenal needs a DM right now which is why we have gone to this length in order to acquire Declan Rice. It's a gamble and I hope it turns out well.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 28, 2023, 03:21:26 PM
Arsenal needed reinforcements and here they are:

[1] Havertz (Attacking midfielder) ✅
[2] Declan Rice (Defensive midfielder) ⏳
[3] Jurrien Timber (Right Back) ⏳

Aside from them^^, we have players coming back from loan who had a very good season at their loan spell for example Florian Balogun. I think this season there will be lot of expectation from Arteta and his men.
Folarin Balogun scored more than 20 goals while on loan and did well as a player on loan. Some other clubs will also be interested in signing him as a first team player, and he will have to choose between that or going back to Arsenal to struggle for a position to play in every game. Marseille is rumoured to have an interest in him.

Yeah he is in a great shape right now and with his exceptional performance during his loan spell can really make him useful to Arsenal. But the thing is that he wants first team chances and right now it's very hard to get that especially when we have Jesus and Nketiah on the spot for that. It is possible that Balogun might leave but I would say let's allow him to leave for another loan spell but it would be hard to convince him (in my opinion). If he wants to stay at Arsenal, I think at best he could be backup player right now under Arteta books for this season.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 28, 2023, 01:38:10 PM
True, Manchester City have no eager need of Declan Rice like Arsenal do based on the availability and form of Rodri in the defensive midfield. Arsenal keen interest on West Ham £100m Declan Rice explains how serious and ready the gunners are for the next season as their highest last signing amount was £75m Pepe from Lille.  But then in my very opinion this is coming some how  late, cause if such amount was spent last summer on the needed players then Arsenal would have been able to secure the EPL title last season.

Aside from Rodri, they have Kalvin Philips as well who can play well as defensive midfield. Still I feel City needs a midfielder but right now it seems they are interested in adding a defender and are reported to be interested in getting Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig. Now that City has gotten out of the race, I think they will be going after Josko Gvardiol. I feel that signing Josko Gvardiol and both Declan Rice would have been too much and would have placed them in UEFA radar again maybe in breach of FFP rules (?) . Remember, City were recently in lot of troubles but they have gotten themselves out somehow and will for sure will take care of not making those mistakes again.

Yeah for Arsenal it seems Rice is the most expensive signing but I feel that his price is well justified (bit overpriced but it's ok). Pepe was a flop signing but I feel that Arteta will surely find his use regularly in squad as Xhaka and Partey are set to leave. I would say about last season, we had everything in our squad but it's slight injuries and something just went down that just dragged us down, otherwise we were very strong last season. And now about the signings we are currently making, it is obvious that with CL also this season we have to make signings as we need density to play our best in both PL and CL in a week. It's hard to keep up for a club when they are in CL and PL as well. Arsenal needed reinforcements and here they are:

[1] Havertz (Attacking midfielder) ✅
[2] Declan Rice (Defensive midfielder) ⏳
[3] Jurrien Timber (Right Back) ⏳

Aside from them^^, we have players coming back from loan who had a very good season at their loan spell for example Florian Balogun. I think this season there will be lot of expectation from Arteta and his men.

Come to think of it, the price at which West Ham has placed on Declan Rice is way too high. I hope this is not one of another English media hype like they did with the likes of Harry Maguire few seasons ago from Leicester to UTD.

I would say, it's ok in my opinion given his age and how well he plays in his role. Also don't forget the competition between the clubs for Declan Rice. Some backed off from proceeding given his price but there were big clubs after him which were: United(last season transfer windows) and this transfer window- Bayern, City and Arsenal. Let's see how it goes, but I think he will do fine.

Interesting development in Declan Rice transfer rumours today. Manchester City had first bid of 80m Euro fixed + 10m Euro addons before West Ham and Arsenal as expected made their third bid of 100m Euro fixed + 5m Euro addons [1]. City's bid was rejected and Arsenal bid is still on the table. Today, Romano has reported that City is now out of the race [2]for Declan rice, City don't want to be in the bidding war is what Romano reports. Now it is very close for Arsenal as City is out of the race and there is no other clubs in the race for Declan Rice.

Right now West Ham and Arsenal are discussing about the structure and payment terms of the fixed fee amount. It is very close now for Arsenal.

Also, in another news it seems that Spurs have gotten a verbal agreement with Leicester over very talented attacking midfielder James Maddison for 40m Euro [3]. Personal terms and all are agreed and it seems that Spurs have made their second signing after signing Vicario (GK) from Empoli.

Harry Kane has had private discussions and the results are positive as stated in the news on Twitter, Harry Kane's desire to leave is there but it's still difficult at the price tag that Tottenham are at, now only Bayern Munich can finish but I think this is going to be a tough negotiation.

https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1673722545617399809

Interesting to see Kane news today and it seems Bayern are indeed going after him. Like you said, Bayern and Kane happens to have now reached an agreement with his family members leading the negotiations as reported by Christian Falk today [1]. Now in order to start things, it seems they now need to come in agreement over the the fee for which this move is gonna happen. Bayern put 70m Euro on the table and was rejected by Spurs immediately as expected [2]. Spurs expect 100m Euro at least for Kane (again as expected).

To me it's bit surprising to see Kane actually accepting to an offer outside England but I guess when it comes to a top player it's obvious that he is gonna choose a top club and Bayern is first to make a move right now. I would say even if they are able to make it like 100m Euro meet with most of it fixed and some add-ons then I think Kane to Bayern can happen. Remember it's still in early stages so lot of negotiations and discussions will go on. For every party involved I think it's a good opportunity here.

That's an insane price honestly, Tottenham Hotspur are not seriously ready to make negotiations, if really Harry Kane wants a move then he should indeed force his way out just like Manchester United reportedly wants him to do.
Bayern Munich back off from the deal a long time, the move to Manchester United seems alive I still don't believe he'll be a Tottenham Hotspur player nenxt season. Manchester United should have made a chase but still, the glazers are reluctant over the sale of the club to the  Qateris.

Harry Kane is a good player, all he needs currently is a chance to work with a trophy winning side, and it that be Manchester United? For a player that scores more than, thirty goals a single single and having Bruno Fernandez behind, United are sure kf winning the tittle.

100m Euro is insane but if a club does need a striker then they also go to that extent to make that signing. For example, City approached Spurs like 1-2 years ago on Spurs with 100m Euro official bid [1] and if I recall correctly there was further improvement to 120m+ around bid by City (can't find its link) . We all know how accurate Romano's information are but still Spurs denied and Kane also publicly made a post that he didn't thought about leaving Spurs at all. Now let me remind you that it was the time when Spurs were going through difficult times and changes but Kane still chose Spurs, so it's obvious that he is not a kind to ditch Spurs at tough times. Although with him aging and still out of major trophies under his belt can make things change but so far it seems he is gonna stay.

I still find at times in confused state when I think about Kane staying at Spurs. There are lot of players that have moved to a big club and have achieved everything and there are also players who are waiting at the club still and looking for a trophy. Now question is who will you rate highly? The player who has achieved lot of trophies with other clubs OR a player who (let's say) won just a trophy or title with club for the first time? I just wanted to express my genuine feeling and question out there so I am asking you all.

United and Bayern both have Kane in list but as of now there are no strong reports of them actually contacting Spurs about Kane's status at the moment. Possible that things might change but Kane might have to request for transfer listed as well. As things stand, to me it seems he is very much happy at Spurs

according to information from german sportmagazine 'kicker', croatian international Josko Gvardiol has reached an agreement with manchester city on a long-term cooperation and has informed rb leipzig of his intention to transfer. however, the german dfb cup winners have not yet received an official offer for the 21-yo center back from rbl. leipzig are prepared to let JG go, but only in return for a transfer fee in the region of €100 million.

Romano has also reported the same. Manchester City and Josko Gvardiol has reached an agreement in personal terms after a week or so but as expected RB Leipzig wants 100m Euro for it. I think there is no surprise given how hot Gvardiol is going right now. I would say City will try to negotiate in coming days and I think with a fixed fee + add ons nearing to 100m Euro I think RB Leipzig are gonna allow Gvardiol transfer to City. It would really make City's defense line strong for next season and he is young as well so can serve City for long term and can win lot of trophies with City. I am sure Gvardiol gonna sign at least for 5-6 years at least for City when he signs as a new player in this transfer window.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 25, 2023, 09:00:36 AM
even though the price is too expensive but many teams are after him because for me Kane also really in terms of performance he has good talent to be able to make a strong contribution to any team so that many other teams like Real Madrid, Man United etc. want to get Kane to be able to strengthen performance team. but for a Kane at €100 million is such a high price that some teams will think twice about getting him.
or even Kane will only extend the contract with Tottenham.

Yeah actually some might think twice about it but its not fixed that he needs to be sold at 100m Euro or something. Yeah Spurs might think of that way but we have seen lot of players pressurizing the club for a move and club accepting bids below their valuation. Its possible that Spurs might go for a bid below 100m Euro if Kane has agreed with some other clubs and is desperate to join them or leave Spurs. Well right now most likely scenario is that Kane will continue at Spurs. He seems like not a kind of guy to ditch the club who developed him. Hopefully that mentality changes soon if he were to win a trophy.

But they were paying, unless I am mistaken? Granted, I am not familiar with klaytn explorer, but picking a random address from their spreadsheet and run it out to the explorer shows that the said participant indeed received 510,000 ASAN. Though I am somewhat dubious about the project itself/

I think so that they have received whatever was due. I randomly picked an address and found that the participant indeed was paid as shown in the sheet with name "FINAL" - https://scope.klaytn.com/account/0x53C7AFeb45CaD6D71167Caf6241bCD7aBe1e3AFF?tabId=tokenTransfer. It is though harsh to block participants and not listening to their queries and problems. Maybe OP is doing something wrong here so would suggest to check again, sometimes one has to tweak their wallet settings in order to access those tokens as well.

@OP try checking your address on klaytn explorer as holydarkness has made in quoted^^ post.

I think given number of players on the flank or in the centre forward position that have arrived after Nicolas Pepe and made some real impact without being hyped up as much as Pepe was, it pretty much easy and straight forward to consider him one of the biggest transfer fails by Arsenal, arguing about the changes in coaches and general ideology would make a reasonable excuse for his failure at the club because pretty much almost nothing was working back then imo, and considering crucial goals and assist, I might not have been an Arsenal fan or saw every of their game, but I'm sure I would have seen between 40-50% of their important and crucial games they've played in the last 5-6 years (crucial and important as interpreted by me would be major cup finals, semi finals, some quarter finals (vs credible opponents), and most of the games vs top 6 opponents in the league), and I can say I barely even remember his name if I were to speak about any of these games. However, I'm sure our criterial for crucial goals and assist might be contrast for example any game winning is often crucial to every team regardless of the opponent, so it's very much likely that I missed it.

Yeah you are right, but he actually had scoring stint in between in a season and also there were times when we desperately needed someone to score and he did scored a goal or few then so maybe back then because of that I am giving him a bit favour but he really didn't actually left a mark as one would have hoped for given the price. It's always a risk going for a player with a bid that high as it might turn a very huge loss if player doesn't gives up a performances as expected.

Even as much as Andrey Arshavin spell almost didn't end up very well as it started, and it already should be about 10 years or more he left Arsenal, but then those 4 goals against Liverpool will live at the heart of most football lovers who witnessed it.

Ah Andrey Arshavin and those 4 goals always be a golden memory 🌟 . He didn't had a strong career but he certainly left a mark with that performance. Would love to see more memories of that kind even if it is some other footballer from other clubs.

Today I read about the history of the worst transfers using artificial intelligence. In artificial intelligence including ex-England star and Arsenal record buy. I don't understand how their procedure works. They seem to combine the number of minutes played, performance, price and level of disappointment. But from this result, it explains that Arsenal have the worst record in transfer cases.  It seems that this can be an evaluation in the team. Good performances from the original club do not guarantee adaptation to a new club, although not all are the same.

Source: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22751383/premier-league-worst-signings-arsenal-pepe/

I think its now working out for us. Nicolas Pepe well didn't made an impact like on would have hoped for given the price at which Arsenal bought him but he did scored some crucial goals and had some good assists as well. Still again given his price his impact was too low to be considered as a decent buy so guess somehow the list says right about Pepe. Anyway I am glad that we have found a solution for him by sending him on loan and most probably will sell him in this transfer window.
