422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different or same ? on: October 09, 2019, 01:42:51 PM
This is an Eye-opener thread for a lot of people who do not know the link between Okex and Okcoin and how they came into existence. However, despite the fact that Okex emerged from Okcoin, cryptic enthusiasts still know Okex more than Okcoin. The reason being that Okex accommodates more of retail consumers or traders, while Okcoin is more dedicated to serious and big traders in the crypto market. Since there are more of retail traders than the big ones, it is expected that Okex will be well known and the most used.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: October 09, 2019, 01:24:14 PM
Things why a person can easily get scammed in crypto-world

1. Greed
2. No knowledge about the project
3. Trust
...

Yes, I might say you have good points there, but even if you abide by all those three points, you might still be a victim of scam. Better still or in addition to what you have said, I would advise that no matter how much you know about a project or the team, only invest what you can afford to lose. Yes you have done your research, do not put your whole fund on a project.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: October 08, 2019, 11:09:22 PM
We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.
A project is not yet seen as scam, because of the name it bears, until proven. It does not also mean that all IEOs are legit.
Although, scammers have used the opportunity of lunching ICO to scam investors and they already know that most investors are no longer interested in investing in ICO. Notwithstanding, they keep changing their plans and are on IEOs as well. Also, some projects do ICO and still succeed.

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors failed the community during early ICO era on: October 07, 2019, 10:29:55 AM
<...>
This then made me to conclude that not every project is fit for blockchain integration. Had it been they had done it and execute their project without the mindset of raising fund from investors, they might have remained till now and not only that, a lot of internet and social media users would have found a replacement for other bug social media platform that we have today and better still, the space would have been highly competitive.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMAZON IS A THREAT ON FACEBOOK'S LIBRA on: October 07, 2019, 10:04:37 AM
...
People already lost their trust to invest more in the upcoming Libra of Facebook, so I think it's a great loss for them when Amazon releases its own cryptocurrency. There's still no specific date or action if Amazon will release their own coin so stay tuned. Any thoughts?

Reference:
https://www.ccn.com/facebook-amazon-libra-threat/

Had it been Amazon had launched her coin, then agreeing that it is a major competitor !right be on point, but this is otherwise. Therefore, Libra coin Weill still attract some investors until it is deemed fit for at major competitor to launch hers.  Although, Facebook needs to prove to investors band other interesting quarters that the security of the platform is guaranteed.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news form North Korea on: October 07, 2019, 01:32:21 AM
North Korea has become very interested in creating its own cryptocurrency and has a sufficient level of competence to move forward with this plan, But not all. On Sept. 10, Cao de Benos tweeted that the North Korean authorities have allowed citizens to own cryptocurrencies, and local developers “are designing crypto wallets and other related apps right now.
[/quote
This looks more like adoption is gradually becoming real. If this can happen in North Korea, it means  that more will be done, not only there, but in some other countries around the world. This is an indication that adoption is fast rising.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to new projects? on: October 04, 2019, 08:23:30 AM
I find it hard to trust most of the newly lunched projects in the crypto space, except I am sure that they meant and serious about what they proclaim to achieve. Most of them have even failed before launching, because their intention is to siphon money from investors. It is also hard for you to see most of then survive above two years.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Is The Right Time To Trade Your Tokens on: October 04, 2019, 08:15:24 AM
You do not have to wait until you are being pushed by someone to trade your coin, because the onus is on you and you know what you want. However, you should always understand the risk behind holding or selling when you are at loss. Also, always trade against the standard, which is satoshi, because that in the long run will determine if you are in profit or not, except you are not a long term trader.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COLD Wallet For USDT ERC20 on: October 04, 2019, 08:11:21 AM
Hello, Is there any COLD wallet for ERC20 USDT?
Problem with ledger wallet is they are not cold wallet, because they dont give you your private key, and ledger developer have access to your private key which is not safe.
Im looking for a cold wallet with private key.
If you are in doubt of Ledger Nano S wallet, then go for Trezor. Trezor is very common and we all know that it is a cold storage wallet that gives you full control over your asset by owning your private key to yourself. However, even if u have not used Ledger Nano S wallet before, I believe it has the same functionality as giving you full control over your wallet.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to invest safely in cryptocurrency? on: October 04, 2019, 06:26:27 AM
<...>
As much as this might work, it can also fail you, depending on one's orientation about cryptocurrency. It is expected of whoever want to invest in cryptocurrency to know that it has an inherent property, which is that it is volatile and it will be wise that no matter how good it might look and no matter how hardworking or experienced the team might be, invest what you can afford to lose, because a project that is going uptrend might correct to move downtrend.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not be deceived by inexperienced bounty hunters on: October 03, 2019, 12:08:44 PM
No bounty hunter is perfect. You might say that you have been participating in the bounty of good projects, but you cannot confidently assert that you cannot be vulnerable to one.
Also, a project might look good and perform well after listing, but it's bounty might not be a good experience to talk about. In which if a bounty hunter is to research, he focuses more on the project and its team and not the bounty.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinexchange.io exit scam or fund issue ? on: October 03, 2019, 11:52:31 AM
The action taken by coin exchange is unlike the exit scam exchanges we have always known. A prior announcement by the exchange team is an indication that it is not an exit scam. Also, funds will be released to owners who request within the stipulated time frame, which is enough for any active crypto enthusiast to do that.
It is just quite unfortunate the the team will not be able to continue with the exchange, because it is the first exchange I traded on when I started with crypto.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Closings bountyhive? on: October 02, 2019, 11:18:18 PM
A lot of folks use bountyhive. The last time I  checked their website, I could not find new campaign. So I am still lost on what is actually happening. Nothing is yet tone divulged by the team, because a formal announcement is yet to be made in that regards.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Digitization of National Currency Bring value to African Currencies? on: October 02, 2019, 11:13:42 PM
Country  like  Ghana  has  a lot  of natural  resources  yet  every  year the nation do their  Budget  in USD. Investor  traveled to  Ghana   and  buy their  resources with USD. Which  make  the national  Currency  got  no value. Do you think if Africans develop and adopt their own  digital Currency it can bring Change  and value  to their local Currencies?
Creating their own digital currency is not the answer or the solution to the devalued currency. If the same mistake or problem that has been on ground or a while, which has limited the growth of their currency, creating digital currency will not solve it.
Also, what gives value to digital currency are the products backing it up and serving as bases to enhance it's value. If thus is done, then whatever currency that is created, whether digital or physical, it will still be affected.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Never Designed for Scalability on: October 02, 2019, 11:09:11 PM
If scalability was not part of it at the initial stage, can't it then be worked out? I gave always believed that a modification, upgrade or amendment can be done to it.
If both of them are coming out to say this, good they admitted it. They are the designers and the developers behind it. They know every details of, so something should be done.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance dex chain on: September 29, 2019, 09:51:44 PM
if I were you, I would ask directly to support binance via email, and of course to the trust wallet too,
The trust wallet has a strong partnership with binance, and I believe the telegram group admin has the solution.
Es, the trustwallet can be directly connected to Binance DEX, by importing your wallet into it.
It is simple and easy to use. Although, I feel CZ himself or the management of Binance can be reached without any intermediary.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [news] Binance Launches Staking Platform with Support for 8 Cryptocurrencies on: September 29, 2019, 06:19:40 PM
Coming up with this initiative might be good, however, I will support the standpoint of the OP. Under normal circumstances, keeping fund on exchange these days is not exchange these days is not encouraging, most especially with an exchange that was once a victim of hack.
If CZ can guarantee holders that their funds will be safe and not only that, but also,if any form of hack occurs, there will be a refund, then it worth trying and going for.
