Sorry, publishers can't select categories for their ad units any more.
Unfortunately many publishers selected non-relevant categories for their ad units in order to increase their CPM. The whole catalog became unusable with trash sites on the first page of every category. Advertisers received a lot of useless load on their servers and dropped their advertising budgets thus reducing everybody's income.
We decided to reorganize the catalog in order to solve this problem, and we are still in progress of doing it. I apology for inconvenience it may cause to you.
If you feel that your income is much lower than it should be and your ad unit is in wrong category, please let me know and I will classify it quicker.

From a purely CPM perspective, would it benefit if I had a larger ad unit as opposed to the smallest one, since each visitor is counted as one visitor in either case?
Thanks for your question! Advertisers can limit their campaigns to certain ad unit sizes thus increasing average CPM for that ad sizes. Also probably bigger ad units have more chances to attract buyers and earn rewards. But on practice the impact of ad unit size on the CPM is negligible. |

Thanks for your question. We don't moderate categories currently, so it is in the categories selected by the publisher upon ad unit creation. We expected that publishers should select the right categories in order to generate more sales for advertisers and thus increase their income. Since most advertisers don't reward for sales, it doesn't really work. We are searching for a better solution for ad unit classification. Either get rid of categories, or simplify the hierarchy and classify ad units ourselves, or do it automatically. If you have ideas of how to do it better, please let us know. Thanks! |

You can use MultiBit, Bitcoin-QT, Electrum, Blockchain.info or compatible software to create a signature with it. If your bitcoin software doesn't have this feature, you can copy-paste the private key of your address to http://brainwallet.org/#sign and use it to sign the message. Honestly I appreciate your idea of implementing a sign-in method like this. But I never use brainwallet.org before, is it 100% safe to enter my private key into this website? I wouldn't say it is 100% safe, but it is an open source software that runs on the client side (javascript). If your bitcoin address stores significant sums of money, you better download its source and use them locally (instead of using remote web site). But probably most bitcoin clients allows signing messages, so brain wallet is the last resort. |

If you specified your bitcoin address upon ad unit creation, you don't need a password. You need to sign our message with your bitcoin address and paste a signature into the form. Each bitcoin address in your wallet has a corresponding private key. You can use MultiBit, Bitcoin-QT, Electrum, Blockchain.info or compatible software to create a signature with it. If your bitcoin software doesn't have this feature, you can copy-paste the private key of your address to http://brainwallet.org/#sign and use it to sign the message. If you don't have access to your private key, you can create a new ad unit or I can change bitcoin address of your ad unit if you prove that you own it. |

You might be surprised, but there is no sign up (user registration) since we don't have user accounts yet. If you control your withdrawal address, you can use it to sign in, you don't need a password to do so. If you don't control your withdrawal address - just create a new ad unit with your valid bitcoin address. Alternatively you can contact us privately to change the withdrawal address of existing ad unit (you'll need to prove you own it). Thanks for your feedback. |

Now you can sign in with your bitcoin address and edit your campaigns and ad units.The ad is waiting for moderation. Note: we check ads for funded campaigns only. How long does that normally take? Normally it varies from several minutes to several hours, but in rear cases may take about a day. Seriously? 0.0001 BTC? Bloody dust....
Now you can customize your withdrawal threshold. Thanks for your feedback, we plan to implement merged outputs too.

I am writing to inform a-ads publishers about changes in withdrawal algorithm. Withdrawals happen automatically on a daily basis when ad unit balance hits the threshold of 0.0001 btc. If you earn more than 0.0001 btc/day, your daily withdrawals will be larger. If you earn less - you won't have to wait months for your money. The threshold is pretty small, but since the minimum interval between withdrawals is 24 hours, your wallet shouldn't get spammed by micro-transactions. If this solution is unacceptable for you, please let me know if you will be able to sign a string with your withdrawal address. Thanks! It's not really about the UI. I am missing the basic information, some kind of tutorial how the advertising system works.
You just need to explain what ad units and ads are and things like that, after clicking around it was obvious what the ads and ad units are but most ordinary people I suspect will be wtfing all over the place especially with the cart system which I'm a bit baffled by.
I second that. Somehow I got the feeling anonymous ads is a really good site for advertisers, but I don't fully understand it. Please consider bringing up a simple video tutorial with descriptive subtitles explaining how to set up campaigns and different kinds of options and means you have with anonymous ads - or at least a vast and comprehensive written explanation of the system. Well Google analytics showed that I had 397 Unique Visits but a-ads counted only around 90 impressions.Also it is a fact I had 4 200x200 ad blocks each having 3 ads.
So I showed your 12 ads to 397 Unique People and all I got paid was for 90 impressions! Please explain!
Thanks for your question. We are not pay-per-impression or pay-per-click network and there is no fixed CPM or CPC rate. By default we show only globally unique impressions (i. e. amount of IPs we didn't see during last 24 hours from any publisher). It shouldn't be a problem since all the publishers are in equal position. You can see amount of all (including non-unique) impressions on the stats tab of your ad unit page if you want. |

Well... I dont know why, but now when my adspace earned 0.01 BTC balance has been reseted to 0 and at nothing has been withdrawn. So where is the problem? And dont tell me, that this is a same case like with bitads...
Please don't worry. When did it happen? That's probably the feature of current implementation: first money get deducted from the balance, then transaction is being created. However if more than an hour passed and still no sign of withdrawal - please give me your ad unit id, I will check it. |

What I don't understand is how the unlimited hierarchy helps you. You receive 50% of the income of your direct referrals but nothing from indirect referrals.

I became a member of the group almost two months ago. I am very interested in helping to develop, grow and spread the word about the program.
I want to voice a suggestion of restructuring the format to a basic, and straight forward format that would entail members joining the group with a required specified amount, for example: 1 BTC. Every new member would fill in equally and move up equally, regardless of referral or not. So with a 100 person group, the payout for exiting a 1 BTC structure would be 100 BTC. The reason this format could be more effective, is because we would have at least one person reaching the top and getting paid out everyday! This fact would multiply interest in the system and create momentum. The motivation for members to promote the system and bring new members in could be greater this way because it would eliminate non paying members taking up positions, the payout would be much more attractive and frequent, and therefore more exciting!
I don't know if this is something that has been attempted in the past, if not, then we should open a discussion about this. The oldest working pyramid in the bitcoin domain should not only be alive, it should be thriving!!
Thanks for your idea. Though not sure how it fits the current pyramid hierarchy (that should be preserved). I'd prefer just to convert all the balances & transfers into USD or some rapidly inflating currency. But I don't have time nor enthusiasm to do it. Probably I should release the sources and transfer the domain name to some responsible party who could run & develop it. Maybe I should sell domain for bitcoins to that responsible party and distribute them among existing members with respect to their deposited money. |
