You are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.
Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

Can somebody tell me how to post a poll on this thread? The "Post a Poll" option when i'm logged in as FedoraCoin is only available on the Announcements (Altcoins) board but not on this thread. (here my failed try https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=755750.new#new  ) I had to fix some private stuff so couldn't post here the last few days, but now I have more time. Today I will finish the proposal and organization of what we have up to now and make a post in the evening or tomorrow the latest  Cheers! You can't open a poll within a thread, you can only create one with the 'Post new Poll' button as a new thread. |

Θα ήθελα να οργανώσουμε άλλο ένα bitcoin meetup αν υπάρχει ενδιαφέρον (στην Αθήνα τουλάχιστον). Θα πρότεινα να το κάνουμε στο hackerspace, αν δεν έχετε να προτείνετε κάτι καλύτερο, και σκεφτόμουνα για αρχές/μεσα Σεπτεμβρίου. Θα ήθελε κανείς να κάνει κάποια παρουσίαση ή να οργανώσει ένα translation sprint του Bitcoin QT ;; Θα υπάρχει ενδιαφέρον να οργανωθεί και σε άλλες πόλεις κάτι παρόμοιο; Who's in? |

I suggest you Mining, News, Marketplace, Altcoins and Beginners & Help child boards. Faucets are waste of time but you can discuss it in a thread, giveaways are against the rules.
I agree. I would even suggest only altcoins and marketplace for the beginning. This is a new board, you can ask for more boards when you need them, when the time comes |
