426  Bitcoin / Project Development / Article links that could be bitcoin related so we can leave Bitcoin comments on: January 02, 2012, 04:15:34 PM
One way of getting public attention is to post comments about bitcoin in places where bitcoin should have been mentioned
but for some reason was not.

That way people can find out about it in the comment section. The more bitcoin comments the better.

example:

http://www.wired.com/magazine/2011/12/st_essay_globalcurrency/

leave bitcoin related comments.

427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who just sold? on: January 02, 2012, 12:04:39 PM
I sold.  It could still go higher, but I'm not betting on it.
My next target: a retrace approaching 4.5  But that could be 10 days out.

This rally came a bit quicker than I expected.

And it will go higher.

Wasn't the rally announced by our hero member ineededausername?
428  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Sell Your Products in Crypto X Change's Online Store! on: January 02, 2012, 11:34:24 AM
Thats really great. Smart move. Kind of like having an appstore for your iphone.

Now who to partner with? I mean what products would be selling themself better
through a strategic partnership with bitcoin?
What product has a similar philosophy as bitcoin?
Will you vouch for the sellers trustworthyness?

429  Economy / Speculation / Warning on: January 01, 2012, 09:47:33 PM
If you shortsell now you will very likely have your money taken away from you.

It seems that big exchanges are happening now masked as many small transactions
in order to make it look like a run on this good price.

But you will feel like a complete fool once you have seen how long this rally continues
orchestrated by some group or individuals with a much larger bankaccount then you.

And they will continue the rally - carefull not to bubble it too soon so you can still buy
now while it actually is cheep.

The fact that they picked New Year for this big rise was very wise.
Everyone is emotional now so they can take a big jump without fear of bubble.

My best guess is in the next days the rally will continue - but at a much slower pace.

Happy new year on the bitcoin friends

And be warned not to go short now or loose additional profits you can reap later.
430  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Happy New Year! Now spend a couple bitcoins on some hot babes on: January 01, 2012, 07:06:50 PM
if you accept bitcoin it is not clearly visible

431  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5x 5830's possible? on: January 01, 2012, 02:39:35 PM
I have hear 2 running on 416 watts

given that there is also a amd x2 200 cpu , mobo with active onboard and a laptop hdd in the mix your 1k watt might just be enough.

I am not a powersupply expert and I am not shure if it is wise to run a powersupply longterm on near full capacity.
432  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: GUIMiner zu Langsam bitte hilfe on: December 25, 2011, 09:43:06 PM
Quelle: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is time for an official protest on: December 20, 2011, 03:05:26 PM
yes - I will join your protest

while secretly being happy since illegal usually implies a certain attraction
for a youth culture to form around it.

434  Economy / Speculation / Game: I see on: December 20, 2011, 09:55:07 AM
I start:

I see someone was impressed with stable price at ultra low volume for the last 2 days

I see shortterm pirce drop to 4$

I see mitterm buy and longterm hold
435  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any thoughts about future direction ? on: December 06, 2011, 05:55:24 PM
if we can reach 3.25 we can go to the moon and have a nice little afterbubble.
otherwise I expect a drop of about .2-.3 over the next 2-3 weeks.

I for one am strained in chistmas budget and cannot buy additional coins this month.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last time $3 was "the manipulator"... what now? on: December 06, 2011, 05:48:27 PM
Yes the money has changed hands and it per se not destroyed or anything like it.

What I think is that the big buywall of 65k that changed hands could not be reconverted to same value at current marketdepth
without realizing a loss.
437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last time $3 was "the manipulator"... what now? on: December 06, 2011, 05:37:44 PM
All the dollars of the big buywall are bitcoins now - or in other words someone must hold or accept tough losses!

About the next movements I am as puzzeled as the next guy. I currently hold only very limited coins and wouldn't
be too surprised if we see a little drop back to 2.85. At then I will buy again.

yes I agree the last climbs seemed really really genuine.

If there still is a manipulator out there he is either in sleep mode or has learned to not have obvious steep walls.

@Dan the man:  I like this explanation

Basic question is the economic situation of the bitcoin users: Do they have enough cash to hold their bitcoins or must they eat it?
Or do they believe to know better investments and it is only about money then share your thoughts  Grin
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Downloading the blockchain on: December 01, 2011, 06:10:30 PM
Sorry to threatjack,

Can someone tell me how long it now takes to download the entire blockchain if you are new to this
on average.

Will this become something of a scalability issue to bitcoin in the future?

439  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Overclocking Sapphire 5830 Fail. on: November 25, 2011, 02:31:18 PM
these are exactly the reasons why i finally decided i want to flash it on the cards.

since then i need to make no changes for nothing after a rebooted system
440  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Overclocking Sapphire 5830 Fail. on: November 25, 2011, 02:20:21 PM
I am no friend of afterburner.

I usded trixx to find a stable level they can run on - for me this is easily 950 mhz gpu 300 mhz ram  / i ran as much as 1025 gpu for days but the fan has aged now ...

once i know the card can take it i flash it into its bios:

edit a bios
http://www.techpowerup.com/rbe/

flash it to hardware
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1122/Winflash_2.0.1.2.html

done - no trixx or afterburner needed ever again
