421  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: July 23, 2015, 09:08:19 AM
bitcoin is not dead and never will be dead, as even if the price would go down to a few cents per each it would still be a currency as at least a small amount of people would be interested in it including me

Exactly the people who are using it, will continue to use it no matter what  the world speaks about the bitcoins, as they are using it and have faith in it, and as a bitcoin user we should always have faith and should support bitcoins then only it will regain its value.

and why you use bitcoin instead of fiat currency?
Just one of the advantages is that it's more efficient regarding international money transfer
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The legends of bitcointalk should make our own altcoin together, thoughts? on: July 23, 2015, 09:06:54 AM
we don't really need another coin too.

it would be better if more coins merged their resources actually.
Can you explain this a little more detailed.I don't see the point.

this signutare campaign is realy cool .. really updating daily .. I don't try to send my btc balance .. I will try and post here ..
I agree on this with you. It's a pretty good chance even for lower ranked members to try out how the signature campaign works.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking of opening an altcoin casino. What coin should I pick? on: July 23, 2015, 05:19:38 AM

426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The risk of NXT on: July 23, 2015, 05:15:36 AM
On contrary, the NXT dev team is probably the most professional and modest dev team in the crypto currency scene. No other devs promised and delivered more than the NXT guys.

...I don't think that the devs are going to make a scam or smth

This. NXT is one of, if not the most technologically advanced crypto right now, with devs that actually deliver.
I can agree on you guys. NXT was one of the first cryptos which  bringed new technology, logic, etc.

That's true. The whole cryptoworld is based on BTC. BTC has the most users, highest volume. No chance to be changed with whatever
they are depending on the price not on its value so that they can say bitcoin is dead because of its price. Thats all the reason, and theres no more reason.
yeah. that's true. i've just forgotten to put it there

Nice dump on bittrex, wish I'd had some buy orders in to catch it.  I expect plenty more dumps though, its just better distribution.
this is just normal in the lifecycle of a coin. Get used to it Cheesy

Not only am I used to it, I'm counting on it Smiley
Just like a HeroMember Cheesy
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funny how bitcoin controls everything on: July 22, 2015, 03:08:01 PM
I find it funny. Assuming you have 0.10 BTC worth of Altcoin in your pocket...price goes half within next day and it turns into 0.05. You're pissed off and you go to sleep crying about how you lost BTC. Next morning you wake up and BTC price has reached $10,000.

so eventhough you lost btc you got richer.

thoughts?
I think that Bitcoin and altcoin prices are tied but if an extreme jump like that happened I don't think they would be as nearly tied as you think. There are too many altcoins and too many factors.
Dont count in the shit coins. There are just like 5-10 significat altcoins. And only these are influencing only.

432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If this forum is any indication then Munero should be #1 on: July 22, 2015, 03:02:53 PM
Monero is far from being the number 1 altcoin. Most people in the real world has not even heard of bitcoin let alone the Monero.
The posts on Monero is from the same few people.

433  Economy / Economics / Re: relationship of bitcoin prices and mining price on: July 22, 2015, 02:45:45 PM
mining doesn't influences the highest price. but influences the lowest, because under an x price the mining costs more than the mined coins.

436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How a perfect crypto-currency would be on: July 22, 2015, 02:32:11 PM
Why would the cryptocurrency have to be mined?

By mining a crypto-currency you're making the network more secure and resistant to attacks. A crypto would need to be mined in order to mint new coins, otherwise I think there wouldn't exist any (my opinion).
what about pure pos?
