I also suggested to the dev that he implement a new way to submit your offers.
Basically when you list an item you put in the USD (or other currency) that you wish to make on the item. And the system would dynamically convert that to sling (USD-BTC-Sling) based on current market pricing.
That way even with market fluctuations your still getting what you want for an item. Versus the current system of listing it in sling.
I.E. BTC is at $240 USD, and Sling is at .00021400.
I list a phone for $240 USD, in the market place it would show it for 4672 sling.
If Sling jumps to .00042800, the market place would dynamically update it to 2336 sling. Same if BTC rises/falls.
He said he was already working/considering something like that and was working out the code behind it.
+7331 !!! Awesome idea Edit: I see what you're saying, so the price wouldn't be dependent on market fluctuations, that is a great idea! Market is too fragile at the moment. If a whale wanted to buy stuff cheaply he'd just dump a load to bring the value down for a while. Price pegging is a while off I think. Edit: Got that the wrong way around, had a few beers. *Hic* I think you take my point though; he'd pump so it'd cost fewer SLING to place his order. Presently at least, you know how many you'd be getting even if you don't know their value. I think for now there are safer, more important things to concentrate on Its not really price pegging, its just making it so it will always be represented (dynamically updating) to a corresponding change in Sling/dollar value that was originally intended. In other words, if say I have x product and I want $120 usd for it, the Sling numerical/price value would keep updating or reflect its change so it would still always be $120 usd. Its not going to really matter; the current price of Sling... it'll just update/adjust the price (in Sling) of the product as needed. Later thoughts: I guess the main problem I see is what currency should it be checking against? Not everyone uses usd, and other currencies may be worth more or less. (even with btc, the value of that changes against other currencies) Might be more complicated than I thought.... Might not be that great of an idea

I am setting up a second Crave masternode on a Linux VPS. What is the command line that I should use to launch the second daemon so that I can specify the separate config file and data directory?
./craved -datadir=/path/to/data/dir -conf=<file> Edit: oops, fixed error

If you're waiting and buying at lower prices, and being labeled a "bagholder"... how are you supposed to buy low?
To me the term bagholder is used too much and only attempts to make people sell out whenever prices go up, causing volatility.
This isn't what the crypto markets need. To death with the term bagholder!
If I had a bag of 10 lbs of gold, is it bad to be a bagholder?

I feel bad for those who got ripped off by Sologap, for the people I've helped I haven't done anything like that, nor would I.
It sucks that there seems to some bad people in most communities.

At least Masternodes are cheaper / easier to get right now!
|
|
|
Extract the archive & upload file first, then just like it says in the picture... start slingd on the VPN.

Made adjustments to guide post above... fixed some errors. There, just 4 simple steps.

Can someone give me detailed instructions how to setup masternode? Starting with what os should I put on my vpn? Thanks in advance,
1. I would use Ubuntu 2. You need the latest sling-qt: Click the quote link and download from the dev's post: 64 bit static Linux qt: Or - use the windows sling-qt: Again, click link that goes to dev's post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032166.msg11432874#msg114328743. And the latest slingd (extract the file first, then put on the VPN) Click the quote link and download from the dev's post: slingd: See from OP - the port is: 4. Then you just do as it shows in the picture: Some Tips to solve common problems:1. Make sure the conf file has: Staking=0 2. Make sure the wallet is unlocked!

is there a new MAC Wallet comming? The one in the ANN Thread has still no Support for Slingroad.
how does that answer my question in regards to a MAC wallet? Hasn't been compiled yet, dev said source would be released soon along with a new version supporting I2P I would look for a Mac wallet around then, that is unless he compiles it before then.

Now you know , stay safe . Now he is promoting a coin VIRAL who had coins stolen + fake IPO ann. They actually just got listed on C-CEX and they claimed an IPO when I asked C-CEX they said is just a simple listing no IPO. So you can figure it out how things go with this dude. Not to mention viral is being run by another scammer / spammer ... Adam Guerbuez - google him and you'll see what I mean... Ironic how fitting the name viral is, because it probably is a virus. he uses botnets and steals people's passwords, don't use any software he puts out!! http://www.pcworld.com/article/207046/article.html

~21 btc buy sitting down at 10k... interesting

Is it just me, or does Bob sound a bit desperate to find new people to buy into his dumps?

Market is done with those useless coins, screw viral and graph - we want coins with use value (as in black markets ) Does that mean you wanna bet? Bet that in-wallet anon market coins will go up ? Sure ! Its what btc was founded on and gave it its popularity, only a fool wouldn't see that safer, viable alternatives are badly wanted.

Noob here - any help appreciated. I downloaded the wallet but it won't sync. I like what I have seen so far with this coin and want to get in on the action!
You can download the blockchain, emilioman has a link to it I think this is it:

I'm assuming since people probably uploaded or gave .conf file containing masternodeprivkey.. that people took the masternode coins from that? In which case I tried to warn people of that awhile ago

Let him baghold viral and graph that have no real use... market is done with that stuff.

Update:
Knowing that big downwards price fluctuations make people think the worse, I want to assure everyone that I have no intentions of abandoning SLING.
There is I2p technology within the next couple of days. In addition I will also be applying various bug fixes as well as tweaks to the market. Sling has a roadmap composing of a three phased approach coming out:
1) Technical updates/fixes 2) Community involvement 3) PR (Relevant ALTcoin/DNM media sources)
SlingRoad is the first truly anonymous decentralized market to ever exist and we should not forget the work that went into making something that no altcoin has done before.
We as a community should tell people about what Sling already has.
I have started by reaching out to DeepDotWeb as well as VICE and will let everyone know the outcome.
Thanks for update !
