1. What is ROI of masternode?
2. What is masternode earning calculation formula?
3. Is there masternode stats page?
4. How many masternodes exist?

We haven't moved to the x11 chain yet nov, so no masternodes. please wait until we announce the coming swap.
Masternodes get 45% of the block rewards.
How many MUE do I need to start a masternode ? When it is ready?
5000000 MUE is what is needed for a Masternode.

If my math is correct (which it may not be) that's like $220k at the current price.  But there isn't actually 5mil on the sale side of the order book on bittrex so you couldn't actually buy them anyway.  Is the idea that there are going to be almost no masternodes?  Fewer masternodes will mean only the rich get to vote (assuming masternodes will function that way and not just be very expensive pos miners in which case they will just function to make the rich even richer).
He made a small typo.... Collateral required is 500k MUE, which granted still isn't "cheap".
To reduce the barrier to entry to obtain the benefits of running a MUE MN we will be offering soon after migration, "shared nodes".
For as little as 1 MUE users can invest into a MasterNode and get the ROI returns of that MasterNode.
Subsequently we will also look to implement proxy voting within the shared node environment whereby the shareholders of an MN make an internal vote for budget proposals and the outcome of that internal vote is what the MN will vote for.

Dear all, Beta test update.

Version 1 of our public beta test wallet will be available in a matter of hours.  Link will be provided shortly.

The team in conjunction with a newly appointed Dev are working on finishing V1 off.

V1 will be the first iteration of several beta wallets, with v1  looking mainly at some MN aspects, and other versions looking at other aspects.

The end of the Beta test period will then allow us to release the best wallet design based on the results from testing.

Many thanks for your patience, more info shortly.

I think it would also be nice to see a road map for 2017... Is it anywhere on the net? If so, it is very hard to find.
With no roadmap shown here and there it will be very difficult for the coin to ever go over 5k sat again although I trust the coin and its technology - cheap as f*** Tongue with such features. As I said before, I have converted most of my funds into MUE few days ago.

Dear Developers - please provide us with a clear road map for 2017 Wink
Hi cooboth, thank you for the vote of confidence in what we are doing, it is really humbling Smiley

While we don't plan on having a "road map" per se, we do have our project management portal here
https://tree.taiga.io/project/monetaryunit-monetaryunit/kanban

That will hopefully give you an insight into some of the things we are doing.
Several projects are not on there due to their commercially sensitive nature and will be released when ready.

Hy MUE community,
What is special on this coin ?
Is it worth to invest in this coin - when yes, why ?

Hello,

I believe the questions are worth answering if we want MUE to go up  sooner or later but I will leave the answers to some more experienced users here. ;-)

BUT...

why not watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwPw0xn2qHI&feature=youtu.be

Cheers!

The video says other cryptos are less reliable than MUE. What is it about MUE that makes it more reliable than the rest??
Hi, I wrote the script for that Smiley

I don't say "other cryptos are less reliable than mue"

The point is, many people follow crypto projects where promises aren't kept, teams disappear, devs go awol, wallets fail, chains fork, problems aren't resolved.

MUE has been around for nearly 3 years, and has proven to be reliable & have integrity.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: April 02, 2017, 06:54:38 AM
What about price target ?
If we can maintain this 3000 sat price as we run up to migration to X11 & MasterNodes I think it is a very good indicator for where the price will go.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: March 30, 2017, 02:56:35 PM
May be try to set a fixed diff? How to do it?

That shouldn't be necessary, the pool dynamically sets the difficulty depending on how many shares your miner is submitting.
Are you still having problems with disconnects every 2h?
Yes it is. I was forced to go on Nicehash X11 ,  Disconnects was every 1-2h
Did you try p2pool?

437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: March 29, 2017, 11:07:04 AM
Anyone here mining with a baikal mini miner at pool.weminemue.com with sgminer/5.5.0-b version?
My quadruple are with sgminer/4.9.3 version and they do well. but my one mini with higher version always disconnects after a few minutes.

Is it a poolproblem or is something wrong with my one mini? X11 mining dash works without issues.

BR

Noone any idea?
No sorry.
My Baikal mini has been hashing away fine for months, so it sounds like an issue with your Baikal maybe, just with the Quark algo?
Difficult to say...

Apologies for the video quality.

A thank you to every single person, for anything you have done to make MUE what it is right now.

Here's to the future

https://youtu.be/cSrwDyQcazg

I appreciate the video - I have been mining MUE with a little Baikal mini ASIC for a while now.

I have a question though, and I hope this doesn't sound disrespectful, but....

If you are changing to X11 and masternodes, wont that make MUE just a young clone of Dash? Dash has seen great success because it is pretty much what BTC was supposed to be, and it's already really well established and has a huge market cap and community. I also see PIVX doing something similar - but it just looks like a drive to get investors to buy up for MNs to me. Everyone knows that if you had bought into a Dash masternode when Dash was below $10 you would be VERY happy right now, so I think many people will think - "maybe if I get in while it's cheap it'll be a money making machine". Doesn't Dash already have this covered?

I guess what I'm asking is - what makes MUE different/better/more viable than Dash? What does it offer that Dash doesn't already have covered?

edit: also I forgot to ask - is there an official date for the swap/fork to X11?
Got to love those Baikal minis - I have one at home too.

Re code migration.
In simple terms you are right.  Our migration does make us a "cheap" Dash, and that has attracted interest to MUE.
Our plan is pretty simple though.

We migrate to an already tried & tested, well developed & continually maintained code base i.e Dash.
That way we know we have the technicals totally covered.  i.e The wallet is rock solid, the governance is rock solid, the sustainability is rock solid.

That means 99% of the headaches are sorted for us, and 99% of the resources are already provided by a 3rd party.
What does that mean for us?  We can concentrate on adding the ecosystem & services that leverage that proven system and allow us to develop around the wallet.

We can concentrate on bringing new people to MUE with the many services & apps we have in the pipeline.
We can concentrate on creating the revenue generating services that will increase demand and adoption of MUE.
Where a coin "doing its own thing" with the wallet might spend 50% of its budget on wallet developers, we can spend 50% of our budget on creating more value for MUE.

So while we may be looking like a "cheap Dash", in fact, with what we have planned, we are a very cheap MUE Smiley

No official date for migration, first we do the public beta testing.

so any news about the change? specially the reduced quantity of coins?

Nobody knows exactly how many coins will be tied up in MN's, but i think it will be a lot. The collateral is pretty high at 500k per MN. Current coin supply is around 118,000,000 coins. If every single one of those coins were tied up in a Masternode, we'd only have a total of 236 MN. But realistically, I think only between 30%  to 40% will be tired up in MN's. That will yield us about 70 to 95 MN's, which is extremely low compared to Dash which has over 4,000 or PIVX, which has about 1,900 if I'm not mistaken.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the devs plan on allowing Masternode sharing. Which basically allows people who can't afford a full MN to share their MUE in a pool and ejnoy rewards that way. So that will also squeeze the supply.

And I heard there will be a new ANN today regarding certain updates. Stay tuned.

answers like this make me love this forum and its comunity thanks!

about the mn sharing pools, im very interested but a big tech noob. is there any explanation on how exactly i can do this?also what are the costs for a mue mn?

thanks!
Hi, this is planned for post migration, which will be very soon.

So right now, to be sure of a MasterNode (MN) post migration, you will need 500,000 MUE.
Current price http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monetaryunit/ is about $0.02 per MUE, so an MN currently costs about $10,000.

To maintain our philosophy of allowing access to MUE for all comers, the MN shares will operate very simply.
You can buy a share in an MN, from as little as a single share (1/500,000) and get the benefits of the MN payments (or 1/500,000th).
So, if you bought 10,000 shares in a MasterNode, that will cost you 10,000 MUE and you'd get 10,000/500,000th of the MN payments.

We will endeavour to have this available as soon after migration as possible.
