421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We already have money. Why do we need Bitcoin?? on: April 10, 2014, 05:26:20 PM
it is hard to justify until there is something more backing these "coins" (like a commodity, advertising credits, etc.)

Are you talking about bitcoin? I like to think that more computational power than top supercomputers combined and a roaring community is pretty strong backing. Also the theory behind bitcoin and the hard limit is pretty good too.
422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Since we started at zero, do you think its possible to go back to zero? on: April 10, 2014, 05:24:24 PM
Yes thats true. Does BTC have features that would keep it from going to zero?
423  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Types of Signature Deals Do YOU Want To See? on: April 10, 2014, 05:23:17 PM
Type 1 : Pay per Post depending group member, Nice rate, weekly or fortnight payment (1 month is too long to wait  Embarrassed). If you can post a lot in that period, you should choose this type of deal.

Type 2 : Pay per group member/activity, Nice rate, weekly or fortnight payment. this type of deal suitable for user who doesn't have enough time to post, but he has a lot of previous posts.

and the important thing is we can / allowed put more than one signature if it is not same type of deals.
Like one gambling signature + one hosting signature

Hope we can see this deal in near future Grin

I'd go with type one, and yes we should be able to "merge mine" sig campaigns xD

Where will we spin?
425  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Can anyone show me calculation how cloud mining can be profitable? on: April 10, 2014, 02:44:44 PM
There's up to 5 year contracts. And after time is over, I assume you can either renew contract or just walk away.

What 5 years??? If you get 1TB, in 1 year time it will be worthless with this difficulty increase, not to mention years 2-5.

Im assuming you meant TH/s, and I'm also assuming you can buy/sell extra gh/s
426  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: April 10, 2014, 02:42:59 PM
Do you want it to end?

No, it's a great collection of useless spam. Do you?

I do not, why should it?
427  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Types of Signature Deals Do YOU Want To See? on: April 10, 2014, 02:41:19 PM
1 BTC/post

That was  few years ago when the price was 10c Tongue

Man if I knew that.... That would have been fantastic, and pretty good consider it would be 10 cents a post....
428  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to deal with stress? on: April 10, 2014, 12:32:14 PM

1. Stress ball, is vital!

429  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which was the last movie that you Admired? on: April 10, 2014, 12:29:08 PM
Law Abiding Citizen. Best movie ever.

What's it about?
430  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to feel refreshed even after too little sleep - and why you MUST.... on: April 10, 2014, 12:25:42 PM
We still need to sleep :

1. Sleep Keeps Your Heart Healthy
2. Sleep May Prevent Cancer
3. Sleep Reduces Stress
4. Sleep Reduces Inflammation
5. Sleep Makes You More Alert
6. Sleep Bolsters Your Memory
7. Sleep May Help You Lose Weight
8. Naps Make You Smarter
9. Sleep May Reduce Your Risk for Depression
10. Sleep Helps the Body Make Repairs

We weren't arguing with that, it seems we are arguing how little sleep we can get away with and still have those 10 benefits.
431  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has mining ever been profitable "at current rates"? on: April 10, 2014, 12:23:49 PM
Would comparing to how much bitcoin compared to buying an ASIC a good way of gauging ROI?

For example,
one antminer .893 btc
or just buying .893 outright?
432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has mining ever been profitable "at current rates"? on: April 10, 2014, 11:33:26 AM
When antminers turn off, difficulty lowers, wouldn't that vest time to mine is when everyone else is turning off there's?
433  Other / Meta / Re: Why do all the sr. and hero members with negative trust hate on the trust system on: April 10, 2014, 11:31:43 AM
http://www.woodlaw.com/cases/butterfly-labs-and-bf-labs-inc-bitcoin-miners <-- got anything to add to the case against BFL? If we can't resolve the trust rating issue with Mods doing more we can punish a company that is both abusing this forums policy on spam and nailing to the wall in court for fraud.

What would they be classified under? Idk if you can really bring that to legal status...
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins aren't shit coins? on: April 10, 2014, 11:23:47 AM
What do you mean by "foam"?
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Attention Coinmakers (X11, Scrypt) on: April 10, 2014, 11:21:08 AM
X11 seems to be the future, just seems to have enough publicity, compared to other "green" algos like groestl and heavycoin

Guys, these algs are NOT ASIC resistant. Mine Scrypt-N. Seriously, unless you want ASICs to happen all over again, don't do this.

I don't care about this.  That would be at least a year or two away and by then better algos will be out.  Scrypt-N still runs hot and uses more power so I personally don't care for it.  X11 runs cool as ice and smooth as silk.

So you want to constantly hop coins? With Scrypt-N, the dev can just tweak one parameter and the coin is fine again, plus, Scrypt-N is a LOT harder to implement on an ASIC than X11.

But the hash rate drops and requires more and more memory when nfactor is increased right? Eventually it goes back to a cou coin, as it requires like 64 gb of memory, which I don't want. ASICS will come out regardless, so we shouldn't really worry about that IMO.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Since we started at zero, do you think its possible to go back to zero? on: April 10, 2014, 11:17:57 AM
If any day BTC price goes sufficiently low, I will make an offer, which may count from now on if you want, to buy all of them for the price of 1 USD.

So the minimum price will be, at most, 1/21000000 USD, but never zero.

Haha I'll PM you xD

Why would anyone buy a nxt clone, if you could buy original? What dies it offer over first Gen?
439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has mining ever been profitable "at current rates"? on: April 10, 2014, 11:10:42 AM
So at one point, mining was profitable at current rates?
440  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Any miner worth buying right now on: April 10, 2014, 11:08:41 AM
I don't think gamers want to buy gpus that been ran at max load 24/7 for a while. I'm a gamer,  I know I wouldn't Tongue
See it as an extended stress test - and those cards passed it Wink

Then they went on another stress test... Then another.... Just no, never buying eBay gpus lol
