421  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prospects on: March 22, 2024, 07:47:02 PM
Fortunately there is no limit to how high the value of bitcoin can get
Due to its limited supply we can expect for its price to keep
getting higher as demand grows exponentially. However we need to note
that the market goes on cycles and bullish market indicators can be a little
different than the last but generally if bitcoin is rising so does most of altcoins

That's true as the price trend of Bitcoin defines how Altcoins will be performing because we have seen this in the past. Bitcoin will continue to increase if you look at it from a long term perspective wherein the daily investors will have a different view because we have to acknowledge the fact that market is never on a single trend be it bullish or bearish as it's a combination of both and we cannot expect it to grow during the bear season rather that's when we accumulate Bitcoin.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: in future are you hoping to see some countries in Africa legalis bitcoin. on: March 22, 2024, 07:20:36 PM
Bitcoin is already used in most of the African nations but when you say legalizing it do you mean government using Bitcoin in it's transactions? No that's not something which we would see but recently we know the Nigerian government's stance on crypto as it has been in news for all the bad reason.

Just understand Bitcoin is an P2P decentralized transfer which has been utilized for investment purpose and I think African government need to have more priorities like providing food, shelter and better lifestyle to it's citizens because end of the day Bitcoin cannot be owned or purchased if you don't have funds.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: Impacts of your national economic and the fiats values to your bitcoin holding on: March 21, 2024, 08:11:40 PM
It's like two side of a coin wherein the one who are hodling Bitcoin or even USD are happy as the value of national currency is on downward trend which means they will get more for their holding on the other hand those who wants to enter the market it has become difficult for them. I think this is bad because even those who are in profit due to their holdings will eventually spend money or convert but the devaluation of currency leads to inflation and even though those.who are other other currency would also be paying more as a ripple effect of inflation. This has to.be fixed else it create chaos.
424  Economy / Speculation / Re: You have a better chance with Bitcoin now than the next minute! on: March 21, 2024, 07:34:05 PM
You need to showcase both the best and the worst of the recent times and I see you posting only the prices from where one could have got profit and that's for long term but there are lot of short term investors and day traders who cannot afford to hodl for 4 years which can be considered as long term with a guaranteed profits as per the previous trends. There are people who has bough Bitcoin at $19k and sold around $4k that's because didn't believe in long term or cannot hodl for longer and needed money.

I would rather say people need to have clear strategy and they need to either go long term or have to be really active and TP/SL at the right time to avoid getting into loss.
425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to crypto. WHERE DO U GUYS TRADE?? on: March 21, 2024, 07:14:37 PM
There are plenty of exchanges wherein you can trade like Gate.io, Kucoin, Huobi and Bybit. Copy trading is something which is available in most of the exchanges but I would personally suggest you not to indulge into copy trading as you don't only restrict yourself from the learnings but also it involves risk regardless you do your own trading or copy trading hence it's better to learn things on your own. I had recently posted in this section about the trading indicator and got very good insights that indicators are not accurate but rather learning on basics like Bollinger bands, RSI, MACD and RSI will help us.
426  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are there some charges to use Bitcoin ATMs ? on: March 21, 2024, 06:51:01 PM
There are charges which are higher and that's what I have heard though I couldn't use it as there was one installed at a mall in my country by an crypto exchange and then within days the founder of this project got arrested and the ATM was dismantled. TBH we don't really need Bitcoin ATM as it's more easier in wallet and why to waste money on higher charges using Bitcoin ATM and I genuinely don' get the concept of Bitcoin ATM wherein the Bitcoin itself is meant digital.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polkadot, what do you guys think? on: March 21, 2024, 06:32:23 PM
Polkadot indeed is holds potential to on top but it's bit surprising to see we haven't witnessed the rally in Polkadot which we have seen with other coins but we need to remember we are still in pre halving days and there are chances of altcoins including polkadot to make rally post halving when we are expected to see more surge in bitcoin's price. Let's hodl it as of now it does have potential and it won't take longer period of time for it to rally and multiply the profits once it gets going and I would say those who have missed to invest into SOL can utilize Polkadot as the rally is yet to begin.
428  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin and ghdarfi lybia situation on: March 21, 2024, 06:17:03 PM
Invalid comparison expect the natural resources the ground situation in these two countries are very different and Putin is much smarter than Gaddafi and he knows how west has been using the dictators for their purpose and once they go against their interest they are eliminated through coup or by assassination. We have Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi are prime example of how west can use and throw the leaders but Putin is different and also Russia have nuclear arsenal hence west cant do much and can't even put pressure on Russia.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins also classified as Altcoins? on: March 21, 2024, 06:01:21 PM
Let's keep it simple, all the crypto currency apart from Bitcoin are classified as Altcoin and this will stand true regardless people would lik ei tor not. I have already seen people showing their dissatisfaction on memecoin being called as altcoin but that's how it is and you can also call it as memecoin is a part of Altcoin ecosystem. Eventhough I don't personally invest into memecoin much but still there are lot of them in the market hence we cannot dislocate them from Altcoin ecosystem and I have used them to transfer funds due to their lower transaction fees and not using for the purpose it was created.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might reach $100k before halviing. What is your exit strategy? on: March 21, 2024, 05:47:24 PM
Bitcoin reaching $100+k before the halving is not possible again because the movement is slow right now and it has hit the All Time High for this season and the probability prediction to hit $100+k in this season will happen after the halving and the halving is just three weeks to go. And most of us do not know how the halving looks like because we are only hearing and not seen it before. And bitcoin might be on the range of $65k-67k until the halving and within the halving Period the price might come to to $56k and above and that's my prediction of the price now. But everyone has their own opinion on the price.

And all what we what is to hit the $100+k for us to sell market.

The dip in price during or immediately after the halving is expected and that's when we should be careful with our trades and set a clear strategy strategy and expectations. I have my own plans wherein the DCA will continue without any major changes but I would be more active in monitoring the market to see if I could buy some more when the price dips (as expected) as the post halving days would be the final opportunity if the Bitcoin starts rallying towards $100k. Even if it hits $100k I wouldn't place a direct sell order rather set my risk ratio and place OCO order to get the maximum out of it with minimum risk.
431  Economy / Economics / Re: Farming and it importance to the economy on: March 21, 2024, 05:26:16 PM
Agriculture is the backbone of any nation but it's too underrated, those who do farming often stays poor and rather the big businesses which buys from them at the dirt cheap price and sell it across gets richer, there has to be a direct to customer link in order for farmers to have profitable business in return of the hardwork which goes in farming as it's not easy since lot of external factor plays role here and there are years when crops are not good, washed away in rain or just no rain at all or eaten by insects these are few challenges which they face and they are the most marginalized community doing the most important work without which people will starve.

But, recently I have seen some startups sourcing it directly from farmer to customer it's farm to table concept wherein the farmers get a good profit ratio. Government needs to launch more pro farming policies and incentivize it because I have seen farmers committing suicide due to the debt.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Is biggest Enemy of Bitcoin on: March 21, 2024, 05:10:42 PM
This news doesn't come as a surprise but these attacks won't have any major affect for Bitcoin and I stopped trusting this shitty centralized coin Ripple long time ago and to be honest this was created to disrupt the crypto market as this was the first centralized token. It's very clear from day one that Ripple was created to convert the decentralized money into centralized and we have seen how they pumped it hard during 2017 and even managed to reach #2 rank for a while but they have failed and now more people are aware about their intentions and this would only give more investment to Bitcoin and people would stay away from Ripple.
433  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Price fixing and control on: March 20, 2024, 07:48:46 PM
It's a very vast thing for government to solve and you cannot expect the Nigerian government to do that, even if they do they cannot keep track of the things and just for example in my country the government has fixed the price for auto, cabs but who follows it? Nobody follows it and they just take advantage this situation hence the only thing is we need to boycott such supermarkets which does this as there is no point arguing on this as they will just rebate with one or other excuses.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin will FAIL on: March 20, 2024, 07:27:30 PM
You are right. But Dogecoin isn’t the only meme coin that there is. I agree that some meme coins are clones of existing ones, but since the successful of Dogecoin, the door has been opened and there’s been more meme coins than people would have expected. And many investors like it that way because meme coins are just too volatile (enough to make them super rich). No matter how many meme coin gets created, DOGE can’t be dethroned, but it shouldn’t hinder others.
After the success made by Doge, many coin memes emerged which could not be stopped because they also wanted to make a profit from what Doge had obtained, even though it was not easy to repeat what Doge had obtained. But surprisingly, many investors are also interested in meme coins with speculation in the hope of making a profit, such as when yesterday Bitcoin passed ATH and many meme coins increased.
I agree with you, as many as can present coin memes, but the belief in doge is different and not the same as others.

What is different with doge which is not same with others? Nothing expect the fact it was the first memecoin to get attention and the timely endorsement from Elon Musk had triggered it's value else it wouldn't have achieved what it did but on a longer run why would anyone hodl Doge? Atleast I wouldn't be hodling it because let's think from investment/business point of view as any business or investor will invest only if the see growth potential due to the product or the services which the coin could provide as we cannot bank on Elon Musk forever. Doge has lost it's charm.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can governments crack down on crypto? on: March 20, 2024, 07:09:11 PM
Yes, even though people talk about decentralization or something like that, crypto needs government involvement to achieve high prices. But imagine if all governments were to ban crypto. I think crypto would still survive, but it would be used among small groups and be hard to maintain a high price like it is now.
The government ha sthe power to crackdown the crypto market and we should not be surprised because the power is flexible and could tune things around either form our own benefits or against our wish. Just like we have been seeing before the Bitcoin ETF was confirmed by the SEC allowing big firms to start there own Bitcoin ETF for there customers. This is one of things we should see and know about the government. The power surplus and could even be against our wish so we should not underestimate the power.

Definitely they have power top turn things around but not through the method you have mentioned because there are whales who hodl much more than government backed institutions could ever hodl and it's Bitcoin will be decentralized but government can create hurdles like how Indian and Nigerian government are doing it right now to kill the crypto industry in their respective country. I think we should be more concerned about country banning exchange or scrutinizing users in terms of withdrawals instead of ETF which poses lesser threat at the moment.
436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It is not to late, but how do I get established with BTC and the community? on: March 20, 2024, 06:48:21 PM
As I type this I can see people have already shared the links you need to refer in order to understand the basics which is very important. It's never too late to enter Bitcoin but it rather depends how does you want to be associated with Bitcoin, either a long term investor, short term or day trader. If you are looking for long term most of the people would say you don't have to bother about the price but I would say this is the perfect condition to enter if you are daily trader as there is a lot of volatility in the market you can easily scalp but for long term you may wait for price to settle down as we may see bigger correction either during halving or post bull run that would be best period to enter as your profits will be multiplied more if you enter at lower price.
437  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corrupt leaders are made foolish people. on: March 20, 2024, 06:36:10 PM

I would hold people accountable for being in an creating a corrupt leaders rather than the leaders themself.

I don't think that is absolutely correct that you will hold people accountable for creating corrupt leader. So in a democracy, before a new government is formed they conduct election for the candidates who have shown interest to to be voted for, so you can only be correct in your submission if people did not come out to vote their choice and most times the people have majority of their vote to one candidate but what happens after election is what determines who the few in power want and they will manipulate the result of the election and announce a wrong candidate. In this case would you say the people voted a corrupt leader?

The bulk of the people leading are not the choice of the people especially in third world countries where corruption is very high.

Therefore, it is not the fault of the people that their leaders are corrupt.

This may be limited to third world country with extremely corrupt officials as well. I got your point this is something which would be exceptional cases but unfortunately there are higher chances of such things to occur in most of the third world/under developed nations. The only way out for them is a genuine leader coming out of corrupt political party or a change of heart from corrupt leaders.

Yes, I cannot blame people in this situation and I think Egypt and Syria are great example wherein the opposition is selected by the ruling party which eradicates the chances of genuine opponents.
438  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bothered about every DIP? It's just a mental check. on: March 20, 2024, 06:22:18 PM
It was just another day on crypto for me as I am not a newcomer and this was expected, I am comfortable with such dips as we are used to exclusively for Bitcoin wherein I don't but the situation would be bit different had it been any Altcoin (right now I have much of my investment into Bitcoin hence not bothered about Altcoins).

I think it would be better if everyone understands just like day and night there would be pump and dump in the market we have to utilize it to our benefit rather than panic selling or stressing on it.
439  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 20, 2024, 06:06:43 PM
Those who are wealthy have already saved their large sum in investment so therefore they are enjoying their life by eating and dressing because all of the income amount cannot be used for investment purpose. Those who are middle class people are just living their life by completing their needs only while they avoid all their wishes due to limited amount of money.

If someone is spending huge money by eating in restaurants then they can save such amount by eating a healthy diet at home so their health will be better and also they can invest in something if they wants. Spending can be reduces by reducing unnecessary activities but if you are continuously spending without thinking about future then you will regret during inflation.

It's more of a race between the hard working middle class person who is striving to break the barrier of middle class but unable to do the same due the ever increasing inflation and things being over priced though earning good amount it doesn't leave him/her to save or invest much against someone who ancestors were once middle class but were lucky enough to break the stigma and became wealthy and their kids or linage don't have to think much before spending carelessly.

The problem is unequal distribution of wealth but wealthy elite don't agree with this.
440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Time to Buy More BTC? on: March 20, 2024, 05:54:12 PM
I don't think FED meet up has anything to do with Bitcoin and yes we assume it's a short term correction which is usual before and during the halving. If you are afraid of further dip then don't go all at once rather do DCA or keep tracking the market and buy when the price starts to bounce back. I would say you don't even have to think so much as it's not any random Altcoin and you have already mentioned the fact as Bitcoin continues to be bullish on long term. Either do DCA or split and invest your funds.
