He was under house arrest while waiting to go on trial. He went on trial and got 2 years. That being said let this be a lesson to anyone wanting to use Bitcoin for illicit purposes. I invested in bitcoin for the technology it offers, and luckily never invested more than 4-5 BTC at 600. Took a big loss and made some back by day trading wehn the prices were swinging between 300 and 400.
I also invested because I believe in the technology, but also because I can see the potential future value in it. Give it 2-3 years and then lets see where it's at. Those that don't have patience and got out early may live to regret it. I just see more doubts in bitcoin than ever before. This is primarily because of the price drop and a lot of scams happening, with BTC. I have also seen people quit from BTC for that reason. |

Who wouldn't  That's just another huge step to the Bitcoin economy , BTC to da moon  You sure? People will convert their coins into fiat in order to pay bills. And if a company accepts bills to be paid in Bitcoin, then they just get fiat from the payment provider. Either way, the Bitcoins will get sold. But that will be balanced with the bitcoins being bought by the company in first place. |

Almost everything else except oil performed better than bitcoin this year I've always said the price today doesn't really matter. It's what it's worth in the near future and for some of us we can see the potential value it truly has. ACtually the price doesn't matter at all, I just think the technology does. Probably yes, why not Bitcoin can be payment without any problem The risk is in the price. If you are paid 100K per year and price halves, then you could potentially lose 50K. THats the risk you should be willing to take. |
