421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP - Good investment? on: April 26, 2023, 08:58:36 AM
I am going to DCA until I have 50 and just hold till next bull run - will be happy if it does a 10x from current price and if it does will put all profits into Bitcoin.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP - Good investment? on: April 20, 2023, 10:20:10 AM
Is anyone invested or know anything about ICP and if its worth it?

I don't invest in $ICP, don't know much about it and don't know if it's worth investing or not. But considering that the halving is just around the corner, wouldn't it be better if you invest in Bitcoin or another major altcoins like Ethereum, BNB, Cardano or Avalanche? Come on, mate. Don't spend your money or time investing in something that only relies on hype.

I have solid plays like those you mention above already , looking for a more risky play that could see better returns.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP - Good investment? on: April 20, 2023, 10:18:38 AM
I looked at the history of the chart, may 2021 I think was the time of the first listing and around that it is not surprising that it experienced a significant spike in volatility due to the small trading volume. If you are looking for price to bounce back past £450 that would be nearly impossible despite stepping into the upcoming bullish season, looking at an all-time 90% decline that would mean a 10k% increase of £5.

I am not looking at prices to bounce back to £450 as I said would be happy for it to get back to £100 which would still be a 20x.

Even a £50 price would be a 10x which would be great considering you would only have to wait a year or so to see this return if it does well in the bull run next year.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICP - Good investment? on: April 20, 2023, 09:10:27 AM
ICP reached an all time high of almost £450 in May 2021 but is currently trading at £5.

I understand we are in a bear market but this is a massive drop and wondering if it is worth an investment.

I am not sure if it will get back anywhere near its all time high again but if it was to only get back to £100 that is a 20x from current price.

Is anyone invested or know anything about ICP and if its worth it?
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 20, 2023, 08:49:18 AM
from my own experience, the first time investing in crypto was very painful for me, because of my impatient nature and panic quickly when a bearish market comes, but now I have convinced myself that the market will recover again, so now I am more holding my altcoins until the bull market comes

I have almost survived my first bear market and patiently waiting now for the bull run to start.

Why was it painful for you did you panic sell? At the bottom in November last year my portfolio was at its worst down 55% but I didn't sell anything I don't understand why people do as that is when you do lose when you sell at a loss.

I bought a lot between June - December last year but hardly bought any this year as I am happy with what I have , if we crash again I will buy more then.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC calls Algorand a security - thoughts? on: April 19, 2023, 10:58:48 AM
Algorand is falling today as expected but will just hold for now.

If we go back down to the December low then I will buy more.

I think they will be ok , just needs to get through this period.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 18, 2023, 11:25:14 AM
Just hold - Doge should at least go back to all time high.

This is not definite but as long as it survives another 12 months till the next bull run it will be fine and go back to all time high and probably go past $1.

You have to be patient, bull run is coming not long now  Grin
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / SEC calls Algorand a security - thoughts? on: April 18, 2023, 08:22:59 AM
Algorand is one of the altcoins I hold in my portfolio and recently starting buying more while prices are low.

I Will not panic with the news that came out yesterday with the SEC calling Algorand a security but I will stop buying for a few days or so to see how the market reacts.

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this claim from the SEC?
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 17, 2023, 11:20:17 AM
Instead of wasting time, it would be better to invest in clear coins. it's just luck if we rely on doge, because it's a meme coin which needs someone like elon musk to increase its price, but on the other hand if we have doge don't always hold it long term. release it when you already have a profit, because dumps often occur suddenly and you don't know how many more years you can recover, or even just stagnate or drop in price
Investing in memecoins is utterly straightforward because they have already seen a large bull run, and what is left are remnants that are being exploited by the top whales in the market. Dogecoin is merely a hype project in the market, but it has had some bull and bear movement in the past. Currently, the project has been abandoned since Elon Musk, the CEO of Dogecoin, only causes price action when he wants to make big gains from it. Tweeting about Dogecoin will continue to raise awareness of the project, but as we all know, this is a ruse to draw in additional investors who are seeking for projects to invest in.
Those who have a bad experience with Dogecoin will certainly be saying that this is not a good investment and not going to recommned to others. But that is enough, we can judge a project if is worth enough for investment or not based on its performance. And that is why still a lot of people are still investing Dogecoin because he earn more profit during the hype and surely they keep supporting and take advantage when Elon Musk make hype it again. I'd never against these investors, perhaps they already see and hear what to happen others but they still taking risk and that is there decision.
I don't understand why there is so much talk about DOGE when there are so many other good projects. I'm not saying DOGE is bad, but I don't think it's as profitable as it used to be. I think for example ADA, LTC or even XRP might be better in a bull market than DOGE. The main manipulator, Elon Musk, is no longer trusted. As long as he is here, nothing good awaits DOGE.

There are better plays then doge but no one knows for sure what Elon's plans are with twitter and this new app he has released.

If this is focused around doge then it will blow up, if not then yeah it will be nothing special.

I am only investing small amount in the hope it blows up.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 14, 2023, 12:06:13 PM
Is your goal to make 10x profit? Is that right? If so, we have many safer options than XLM, such as ETH, BNB, or ADA...lots of potential altcoins hundreds of times your old coin. Honestly, I didn't even remember it until I saw your thread. Or if you have better knowledge, I recommend investing in new projects rather than old ones like XLM or XRP. We have potential projects for the next bull season, like ARB and APT...Many projects are about to release tokens, so why ignore them?

A 10x would be great return and would be happy with it but hoping for more then that with most of the altcoins I hold.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 14, 2023, 08:29:41 AM
   -   Right now xlm is pretty quiet, I don't see or read any good updates that they are planning. But if you check his behavior in the market, it is relatively easy and with a value of 0.1$ each that has a market cap of around 2.7B$, it can be said that his ranking is still good in my opinion.

And I also think it's not bad for you to apply DCA here because it also has the potential to become 1$ in the near future when the bull run really arrives. Looks like I want to save it somehow too.

Yes, it's been quiet as well in the last bull run, so I doubt that there will be much movement right now or in the next run.

And it is still down -85% or higher and if you check it's all time high, the last one was 2018, so I'm right that it didn't have a significant run in the last bull run. With that, I'm going to steer away from it, this is just my opinion though and I'm basing on what the data is showing us.

But if the OP or others is still interested, then do not take my financial advise, just invest money that you can afford to lose.

I have heard a big reason for XLM bad performance in the last bull run was due to the XRP law suit.

If XRP win the lawsuit which could happen in the coming months, shouldn't XLM do well also?
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next altcoin season? on: April 13, 2023, 02:26:25 PM
I have decided I have too many altcoins in my portfolio and want to convert up to half of them into Bitcoin but I am waiting for the next pump like we saw in January to do this as don't want to convert while my altcoins are 20% down.

I have only been in crypto last 12 months so not that experienced when it comes to understanding cycles. Do we have any idea when the next altcoin season is due?

You can sell your altcoins now before it gets even worse, alt coins aren't going to pump soon and even when they do, only the big projects with high market cap will pump because they have the most trust at the moment from investors.

The altcoins season is coming after Bitcoin cross its previous all time high because that's when people will start believing we are in a bull market and for that to happen, Bitcoin halving has to have been done which is happening next year.

Sometimes it's better to take some loss and move on than to lose it all because we were waiting for a recover but the market or that particular project didn't recover. If you want to buy Bitcoin, don't hesitate, buy it immediately.
I think you are wrong about altseason not being anytime soon. Almost the whole market is growing now and it looks like the beginning of altseason is now. Look at the market capitalisation of altcoins or the bitcoin dominance chart. All indications are that a good market growth may start soon. Bitcoin does not need to break a new price high for the altseason.

Hope you are right  Grin

I think if it is not starting now then definately will be in the next few months.

it has been a long 12 months hopefully it will soon be time where our patience pays off!
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 13, 2023, 01:22:20 PM
XLM is good buy right now and of course everything will follow when bull market resumes though XLM have been quiet but it doesn't mean they are not working and development is still there. Having a DCA will always gives you and edge of filling up your bags with XLM. Remember Stellar is still a great blockchain ecosystem for payments system that many already adopted.

I have had 10 replies so far and this is the first positive one!

I will keep an eye on it and do further research before investing.

I agree Bitcoin is safest long term hold but don't want to sell my altcoins now.

I have some altcoins that are up , some even and some as much as 25% down but feel they will recover.

Some may go to zero but as long as a couple do well next bull run I will be up.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JASMY - worth investing? on: April 13, 2023, 10:17:41 AM
Any more thoughts on this?

I now hold 40,000 Jasmy and wondering if I should stop at 50,000 or 100,000.

Apparently there is going to be a lock up in Q4 this year which is supposed to push the price up.

The current price is $0.0063 - price predictions for next years bull run range from $0.20 - $2.00.

Some of the predictions are over the top but you never know, altcoins have pumped over 200x before.

I will be happy with a 10 or 15x though
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next altcoin season? on: April 13, 2023, 09:06:05 AM
Bitcoin has been doing well in recent months but nothing yet from the altcoins.

Is it normal for altcoins to follow months after Bitcoin?

I am patiently waiting for the altcoins to have a pump so I can put profits into Bitcoin.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba Inu still worth it? on: April 12, 2023, 12:07:19 PM
I think with the amount of shiba inu that you have now, it's quite a lot, me myself are skeptical about meme coins, but there's nothing wrong with believing in shiba inu, you can also allocate your funds to other altcoins that are not just meme coins, for example BNB

It only cost me £270 for the 20 million shib I have - I still only have this amount.

Will be happy with a 5x from current price but it could go a lot higher
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / XLM - yes or no? on: April 12, 2023, 08:44:48 AM
Hi,

I am looking for a new position to start DCA into while prices are low and thinking of XLM.

Up until now had not really paid much attention mainly because I notice they didnt perform that well in the last bull run but I see this is now due to being closely linked with XRP who still have the ongoing case - or do I have that wrong?

Anyway, there is a lot of noise on Youtube currently for XLM - some saying it will do really well when XRP wins their case - is this likely?

With a current price of $0.10 I am just thinking of bagging 3 or 4 thousand and hoping it does a 10x or something if XRP wins the case.

Be good to hear thoughts on XLM, both good and bad?
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 12, 2023, 08:30:39 AM
I hate to say this, but as long as Doge remains Elon Musk's toy, there's still a chance for the price to go high.
I agree. Many investors are influenced by Elon to invest in Doge. So even this meme coin has no real use case, they believe it's a good choice to invest because it can give huge profit to them.

Well, you can invest in any coins that you want but make sure that you did a research because we'll never know what will happen in the future. It can reach its ATH again or even surpass it but it's still uncertain. Thus, as long as you will only invest what you can afford to lose then it's up you.

I agree also. I have a mate who is quite heavily invested in Doge and expects it to go back to all time high at least during bull run.

My mate says Elon is planning to make Doge a big part of twitter and in doing so should mean Doge performing well.

I haven't got a lot invested, will be happy with a 8x or so and if that happens will just put all the profit into Bitcoin.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Doge worth investing? on: April 05, 2023, 08:41:59 AM
I do not have any investment in Doge yet but am thinking about it.

I am looking for investments that will 5-10x next bull run and looks like this is a good bet considering it's all time high is $0.70.

Many say it will go past $1 next bull run and it could well do but think I would get out around $0.70 which would be a 7x if I was to invest at todays price of $0.10.

Would be good to hear some views on this - are you for or against Doge?
