Dear your whole statement is not so accurate because there are kinds of trading like feature trading or spot trading. Feature trading has high risk if you trade in it while trading in the spot has less risk to your funds because you can hold it until you get a profit from it and it is all upto you like you long period you want to hold it means losing of funds less but it also has the risk to your funds but not as you aforementioned lost in seconds haha.

If you ask me I would like to suggest you that never depend on the signal indicator in crypto trading because many indicators can give the wrong signal sometimes. use a combination of indicators and go ahead. i have seen many indicators giving false signals and which leads traders to the loss.

In the world of cryptocurrency patience is the power and if don't have patience it can be proven a bad habit well as you aformentionedholding holding is good I would also suggest holding rather than trading because in tranding you have a high risk of losing your funds but in spot holding there is very less risk of losing of fund because you really not need to stay active all the time.

For now, I am just watching the market just like you haha... I took many entries in late 2023 and for now I have no stale currency available for more buying and I hope I will buy again in halving event if i will have stable currency available at that time.

For now, I am doing you  2nd aforementioned point where I am selling at higher points and buying at lower points again to accumulate some more points, and in case of the market does not allow me to buy back again I search for another good project and put my funds in it.

OP, The point is that I do not trade too much I do less trades and if I have to choose from these two for doing short-term trading as you mentioned in your topic title I would love to choose altcoins and would choose only altcoins that have less risk so that the chances of losing funds will be less and we all also know that altcoin also have big risk so in this case we have to be very picky to doing short trades.

First of all, Altcoins have high risk so we need to be very picky in this case i mean if we want to earn good profit we should check the project use case and how their team is motivated. Are they collaborating with other good projects to make this project successful or not? if they are maintaining their ecosystem to make it sky rocking then put some amount in this project. Because we can not predict anything here 100% accurately. Put only those funds in the project you can bear in case of loss and if luck goes in your favor you will see a good profit from the Project.
