421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: August 11, 2017, 06:06:44 AM
I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

Not sure if they actually will start a big war against bitcoin since a lot of countries have already legalised bitcoin and they are happy with where bitcoin is right now. This does worry me though since the government may want to end up controlling transactions soon, especially with so many dark web sites popping up after BTC-e was shut down.

Don’t think this will happen for another 3-5 years, Bitcoin doesn’t seem to be going mainstream anytime soon and the government won’t pay much attention to it then.
422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do we actually cash out of BTC? on: August 10, 2017, 07:37:39 AM
Or any alt-coins?  Meaning, turn our BTC into USD.

What do you mean alt coins, if you want to cash out there are heaps of ways and they are all pretty simple and barely need any forrm of ID. On localbitcoin you can find a seller who is interested in selling Bitcoin for cash, bank transfer or any other payment method. When making a transaction on localbitcoin I would recommend only selling/buying off people who seems to have good trust. Localbitcoin will be your escrow so only release the bitcoins when you know you have been paid.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: keep calm and buy the dips... on: August 10, 2017, 07:11:31 AM
5 months ago price went up above $1250 people started saying "will it come down so we can buy" then it came down to $800-$900 and i told them This is the dip to buy in

3 months ago again price went up from $1400 to $2755 and a lot of people were asking "is it a good time to buy bitcoin, will it come down to buy?" then there was a dip $1850 on 26 and 27 of May. and i told them This is the dip to buy in
you can see one of the topics here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1933765.0

now price once again went up to $3500 and people are again asking "will it come down so we can buy".
i tell you again the dip is happening again. you had a chance of buying at $3100 and anything now is a good buy price, buy before you regret it.
This is the dip to buy in

so which one will you be? someone who buys before it is too late or someone who regrets and buys when it is too late?

Totally agree with you, an easy way to make profit with crypto and bitcoin. A lot of people regret not buying when bitcoin was like a couple of cents, but they still don't realise it is possible to turn a profit with crypto nowdays. Buy at the dips and sell when the price is right.

When people panic sell and price drops, it is your time to buy.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How am I supposed to get over the anxiety and depression involved in all this? on: August 06, 2017, 09:30:33 PM
Oh god that's a small fortune right there, what price did you buy the bitcoin for? I don't think you ever will get over that decision, but you can try recovering the hard drive. There are companies out there that can probably recover all of that data, but I am not sure of the prices.

It's no point blaming him for keeping all that bitcoin in an unsafe place and not getting backups of it. At the time bitcoin would probably just be a couple of dollars and no one would be bothered to do that much for 100$.
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is fluctuating. Is it a high time to sell or buy? on: August 06, 2017, 02:11:22 AM
According to the charts in https://www.coindesk.com/price/ as of this time, price has been fluctuating slowly for the Bitcoin after the fork.
Is it time for Bitcoin holders to sell or hold on to their coins? Or to move and invest to the newly found Bitcoin Cash?
What I think is that this may be the last time to get some cheap bitcoin. The price seems to be slowly going up and it is already at 3.3K from just 1-2 days of growth. I would invest a bit in bitcoin right now. There is also a possibility that bitcoin might take a huge dump soon, since today is when segwit locks in, but it still hasn't dropped yet and it doesn't look like it will.

Invest now and you may become a millionaire in 2 or 3 years.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin world currency on: August 06, 2017, 01:55:57 AM
is it possible that we can use bitcoins in buying all commodities not only in one country but the entire wold? and how will this affect the economy.

Slow down, right now we don't need that. Bitcoin right now is mostly classified as an investment that can be spent and do other things. Bitcoin users are only a small amount of the world and we need to make sure everyone understands bitcoin and most importantly, uses it for it to grow in popularity, price and then we have a chance of this happening.

Some countries still have not legalised bitcoin yet, and when they do, they need to implement new laws mostly related to taxing bitcoin and some countries still dislike bitcoin.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tragedy day for bitcoin on: August 06, 2017, 01:44:41 AM
So far we are safe, there does not seem like anything  has happened and this is mainly due to the pump yesterday. The price if bitcoin surged up 500 USD yesterday and everyone feels happy, and therefore the price won't drop, mostly since no one is selling and everyone is just holding.

The people who sold bitcoin for bitcoin cash and went swapped over are experiencing a tragedy, not us. When bitcoin rises in price, bitcoin cash then falls in price and bitcoin is definitely rising in price.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret? on: August 06, 2017, 01:33:25 AM
who among you here heard bitcoin back in 2009 and 2010? I was one of the people who is very skeptical about it and I really regret it. Sad I missed the best opportunity for a lifetime.

Think of it not as regret, not as a missed opportunity, but instead as a chance to grow and train your insight and mind. Now you are 7 years older and you shouldn't dwell on missed chances but instead use your knowledge now to invest in other coins and become smarter. Don't regret, since a lot of people missed their chance there.

You can still invest nowadays, it is now too late. Since today is August the 8th, segwit will be locked in and I expect huge pumps, possibly up to 3.5K by the end of the week.
429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reached 3.2K!! on: August 05, 2017, 10:27:10 PM
Apparently Bitcoin has again broke the record by reaching reaching 3.2K (almost 3.3K currently it's 3,280$ on Bitfinex)
Gotta go fast bitcoin, gotta go fast  Grin Grin   I wonder if it coins going any higher  Smiley

Not that much of a surprise to me, of bitcoin didn't drop with the bitcoin cash fork, I expected it to take a trip to the moon. It was stable for a few hours and it was only a matter of time until I knew it would rise, looks like I predicated correctly. Wouldn't be surprised if I saw bitcoin and 3.5K by the end of next week or 2, life is crazy.

Looks like of the price of bitcoin is on the rise, the price of  bitcoin cash is taking hits.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 500,000$ to invest on: August 05, 2017, 10:19:25 PM
where should i invest and why ?

Oh god , that is a lot of money to invest. Have you paid of all your debts first, and i hope that isn't your life savings because I won't recommend investing that away. Pay off your debt and then do this:
-Buy 2 more properties, pay a 20 percent deposit kn then and then you can rent them out, would recommend buy properties around the 1 mil mark. In around 15 years they should have no more mortgages left.
-Invest into crypto, put some into bitcoin and use it to trade alt coins.
431  Economy / Economics / Re: Will third world country hold their foreign reserve in bitcoin against Dollar? on: August 05, 2017, 09:35:33 AM
Most of the third world country hold their foreign reserve  in dollar. Do you think any of these third world country will accept Bitcoin and equally holds their foreign reserve in bitcoin instead of dollar form? In your own opinion what do you think will happen to such economy both in terms of positive and negative effects?

I don't think so, one of the components of Bitcoin which makes it popular and also risky is it's volatility. If bitcoin was more stable, which we know is not possible, I think that that would be feasible, but with the current state of Bitcoin now, it seems highly unlikely for that to happen.

The countries will still use USD, since it provides more advantages over Bitcoin and most importantly, is also stable. I would recommend 3rd world countries to invest in Bitcoin, but still keep the majority of their funds in USD, since it is more stable.

Bitcoin has not received that much media attention and I fee like with more of that, we could see this occur with 3rd world countries.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens after 21 Million mined BTC? on: August 04, 2017, 11:17:40 PM
Probably not all of the 21 million coins will be mined firstly some of them will probably be  lost. Well the way mining work is that there are blocks that can be mined which contain 12.5 bitcoin. The estimated timer says that bitcoin will be fully mined in 100 years, and there should be a bunch of block halving before that.

That's is also why not many people mine bitcoin now, only the people who live in places like China and India, where electricity is dirt cheap can afford to mine. Also why people have higher transaction fees now, to make up for the decreasing amount of block rewards.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So everyone tells you to take your Bitcoins off the exchange before the fork!! on: August 04, 2017, 11:12:24 PM
I think some people advised to take coins of the exchange since some exchanges might not support bitcoin cash and it would be like the coin base incident where all of the bitcoin cash would be kept by the owner of the site.

Getting a free lunch does require using your brain and why could you just import your bitcoin to a wallet that supported bitcoin cash. For example electrum, which is a free desktop wallet, supports bitcoin cash and you could have easily just transferred your funds over there, claimed your bitcoin cash, and then sell it after the huge pump, when it rose to 700 USD.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin on: August 04, 2017, 11:07:06 PM
You have just stated one of the main problems of bitcoin which is causing it to not go mainstream. Right now we see  bitcoin, not as a form of Internet cash, but more of a form of Internet gold or an investment option.

I would still recommend investing in bitcoin since it does seem super promising and it has the  potential to become mainstream, we just need to fix our congested block chain. Just right now, it doesn't look like people use it in real life.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who are these people? on: August 04, 2017, 10:57:27 PM
-They might be people who are just clueless of the fact that bitcoin forked recently. There are a lot of people who aren't on the forum and don't pay attention to bitcoin news, therefore making transaction.

-Might be desperate people, someone who needs to gamble, or someone who desperately needs to pay back a loan or ask for a loan.

-Might be people who just like taking the risk of it, who knows. People do love doing risky things and that
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the future on: August 04, 2017, 12:03:27 PM
Do you think friends, in which year Bitcoin will completely absorb all the finances of the planet's system?BTC

Could certainly be  possible, but right now most people are set in stone about their Fiat currencies. We don't have enough attention with bitcoin to get people to make the swap the crypto yet. Fiat currencies just don't have as much problems as bitcoin and I don't think that the block chain of bitcoin will be doing very well of everyone started using it. We already have a pretty congested blockchain and we even have that much people using bitcoin now. How do you think it will be when everyone is using bitcoin.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the transaction price of bitcoin so high? on: August 03, 2017, 11:05:22 AM
Why the transaction price of bitcoin so high? I honestly do not understand the reasons for such prices. All say that this is a fee to miners, but how much time need to a regular PC made all the necessary calculations, and their equipment is much faster. Can somebody explain why the transaction price is high, but if you take part in mining the minimal income?

You can change the transaction fees on some wallets just means that it will take longer for confirmations to happen. You can easily make the transaction fee lower via some wallets such as electrum.

If transaction fees were lower the miners would have no more incentive to mine, especially with power being expensive now, all of the miners will be Chinese or Indian since electricity is cheap in those places.

The only 2 rewards miner receive are block and miner fees. Block rewards will slowly decrease so thats why we need these transaction fees.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are active these days. on: August 03, 2017, 06:47:53 AM
Some bitcoin users told me not to do transactions in these couple of days because hackers are active these days. I want to know is it true? or some kind of rumor? Anyone here who have faced such problem?

To be honest, hackers are everywhere and they always are hacking, and they will always try and access your wallets, especially online wallets which don’t require a lot of security, some only need a password and email and the stronger ones have 2 factor authentications. Would recommend using a hardware wallet or pc wallet.

With the hard fork happening, people are scrambling to claim their free bitcoin cash and the hackers are then taking advantage of these people via hacks. Just don’t move your bitcoin these couple of days and it will be all good.
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin split on: August 03, 2017, 12:58:32 AM
is there anything happen ??

from where we can get the true real time  news?

Thanks

It has happened now, but like what most people said, it was nothing important and 12 hours after the event the price of Bitcoin has barely changed. It wasn’t anything to worry about and people just overhyped it with FUD and clickbait threads like “August the first will be the end of bitcoin”

Remember people Bitcoin cash is an alt coin just with the name of Bitcoin, nothing happened when altcoins get released so why would anything happen when Bitcoin cash gets released. Claim your free BCC and get along with your life.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 02, 2017, 09:17:22 PM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

I don't think so, bitcoin cash is an altcoin which means there won't be much value to it. As some people stated the price of  bitcoin cash and bitcoin add up to around 3k. This might mean that when bitcoin falls, bitcoin cash will rise in price.

The problem with that is that bitcoin doesn't look like it's going to fall, especially after it went through these events. Now people have even more trust in bitcoin and prices are stable.
