421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know 0x project? on: August 15, 2017, 11:07:52 PM
I just heard of this project today and now seen it already like five times.

What is this project about and why is it so popular???
422  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock market vs. Bitcoin??? on: August 15, 2017, 11:02:47 PM
Since Trump got elected the stock market has been booming. I think the risk is getting higher because as we all know, what goes up - must come down. Everyone will soon sell their stocks and then panic will start and before we know it there will be a big correction.

Actually, the same thing could be said for Bitcoin as it is growing exponentially right now and due for a correction so I think in a short time people will start panicking too and sell their Bitcoins, especially the beginners who just bought their first Bitcoin recently.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Official] BTC ATM machines that require no ID on: August 15, 2017, 10:23:23 PM
I was not aware you needed to provide ID to purchase/sell Bitcoin at ATMs. That is kind of over-the-top as far as I am concerned. If we don't need ID at regular fiat ATMs, why should we need it at BTC ATMs?
424  Other / Meta / Re: Any Mobile Application for this forum? on: August 15, 2017, 08:53:30 PM

I was surprised to find out, that there isn’t any mobile application for “bitcointalk” forum … or there is one?
It really difficult to read and follow the threads on topics while using smartphone and traveling-  is the Desktop only option

How do you people dealing with it ?

I do not have Android or iPhone and the app store on my phone does not have anything for Bitcointalk unfortunately.

I wish it did would make my life easy, but actually the forum works OK on my phone browser so I am happy.
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peak of Bitcoin price on: August 15, 2017, 08:50:03 PM
I am scared that we already reached the peak of $4,400 I think it will begin to crash soon down to the $2,000s again... hopefully not, but it is what I think because price cannot continue to rise forever $100 per day.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin satellite? on: August 15, 2017, 08:48:50 PM
One more step forward toward making Bitcoin the currency/money of the future. Thank you, Blockstream!
427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever drop below 2500 ? on: August 15, 2017, 04:54:42 AM
I believe it could crash back to below $2500. Think about it we are in an exponential climb now this cannot last forever and eventually it will crash to a lower level probably in the low 2,000s.
428  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's still august on: August 15, 2017, 04:53:25 AM
If there's no dip the price will reach 7k by the end of August.

This would not be surprising given previous rises have been 6x-10x of the initial starting price we could easily see $7,000 this time around.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates on Bitcoin on: August 15, 2017, 04:17:04 AM
Bill Gates stated that the Bitcoin is the future and that it is better than currency. Would you assume that his statement (as one of the many reasons) added value on Bitcoin which made it stronger and more stable in the system?  Smiley

Obviously it adds value. There is no doubt about that. He is the richest man in the world and lots of people follow his financial advice.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you seen this? All the Money in the World - Visual from demonocracy on: August 15, 2017, 03:37:40 AM
I encourage you to scroll through this cool visual here of the liquidity pyramid which includes bitcoin (Jan 2017 already being dated):

http://demonocracy.info/infographics/world/lqp/liquidity_pyramid.html

Have you seen this?

Surprised by anything here?
Thoughts?

This is a really amazing graphic. However, I do think the scale is off for Bitcoin's market cap compared to the billionaires listed.

With that said, $1,000,000 seems a lot smaller now when you compare it to $1,000,000,000,000. hahaha
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin affect othet Crypto? on: August 15, 2017, 02:43:27 AM
OP you should fix the spelling of the title to "other" it is currently misspelled!

Anyway, historically speaking, altcoins always follow Bitcoin so when they price of altcoins goes up it means likely the price of Bitcoin went up also and usually when Bitcoin crashes then it means altcoins are going to crash too. However this time it seems not all of the altcoins are rising, but probably because there are more now than ever before and not enough people know about them to bother investing when they can just buy Bitcoin and it is a lot safer. Based on that my recommendation is to do your research before investing in altcoins.
432  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: August 15, 2017, 02:37:43 AM
I am not surprised about this rise in price that is happening now.

See, my calculation was it will go to $30,000 in a few years and this is not surprising.
433  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 15, 2017, 02:36:16 AM
Actually, it already did because Bitcoin price is higher than Gold and also the market cap is bigger than PayPal now...
434  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: August 15, 2017, 02:35:20 AM
No, I am sorry money is not above all things.

When we are born... we have no money right?

When we die we also have no money and it cannot save us from death which means birth and death are more powerful than money and also God is above money, of course.
435  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC as a national currency? on: August 14, 2017, 11:35:43 PM
Why not? I think a lot of countries including US are looking into Bitcoin and considering their options in terms of how to incorporate this technology into their governments and political systems. And also how to get the people on board, because that could be very hard.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is decentralised nature of bitcoins really good ? on: August 12, 2017, 07:22:10 PM
The entire point of Bitcoin is decentralization. Satoshi Nakomoto created it so that anyone could control their own money without any need for a middleman such as the banks or other financial institutions which only seek to hold your money so they can invest it themselves while paying you next-to-nothing and collecting monthly and other fees off of you also. With Bitcoin there are low fees and you are your own bank so you do not need this middle man or centralization, but rather everyone has more freedom and privacy with Bitcoin.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recovering BTC? on: August 12, 2017, 07:19:48 PM
Is there any way to recover BTC if you suddenly lost it without knowing the reason?

You are going to need to go into far more detail.

We need to know the events which unfolded that led to you losing Bitcoin, among other things.

Which address was it sent to? How did you lose it? Was it on an online wallet? Your local PC/laptop? Paper wallet? Did you have a backup? There are too many variables involved.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You A Sellout (Or Did You Hodl)? on: August 12, 2017, 07:15:35 PM
I was thinking about this today and realistically, it doesn't hurt Bitcoin if people sell/trade as some lose and others win and it all balances out in the end. Think about it like the stock market... people trade every day and most noobs lose their money, but one thing about the stock market is it always rises, no matter what the circumstance.

I think the same can be said about Bitcoin. If someone sells out now and buys back in lower, it only means others lost money and that is how trading works... there is nothing destructive about it in fact we should encourage it to increase the amount of smart money in crypto...
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How ATM bitcoin work??? on: August 12, 2017, 05:22:48 PM
A Bitcoin ATM is a place you go to buy and sometimes sell Bitcoins. Usually you can just buy. You enter the amount you want and type or scan your address and then pay and you will get Bitcoin sent to your address after payment.
440  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: August 12, 2017, 05:21:38 PM
I am using Qoinpro, Blockchain, LocalBitcoins and DeepOnion wallet.

In the past I have used MultiBit as well but now they closed so I don't use it anymore.
