If you believe it's possible we are living in a simulation, then you disagree with you own premise. And, passing a Turing test does not indicate intelligence anymore than quacking indicates that you're a duck. Quack!

You are making the false assumption that evolution can not occur inside a computer.
You mean running simulations? Yes, I've written a program myself that simulates evolution. You can simulate anything. There are some who say we may be living in a simulation.

I've noticed this a lot too.
"Hi. My name is Husband."
I also noticed the bots being used for the XRP; these bots were all created around the same dates, back in 2012, during the same week in Summer. Someone's got a lot of XRP coming their way...talk about spreading it evenly!
<tin foil hat> I have another theory. The purpose of these bots is not to gain XRP's but instead to make Ripple look more popular than it is. This is all part of a larger pump & dump scheme that was formulated prior to Ripples release. </tin foil hat>

Hello Yogi,
Seems the price spiked, gave you a margin call, and by the time your position was closed got back to "normal" and you closed with a little profit.
For your information, we have again adapted the way you get margin call when market is "crazy". This should trigger a lot less false margin calls like that. We are in a tricky period where Mtgox is often unusable and we have to learn to deal with it. Which sometimes give weird/unwanted behavior.
best regards, Raphael
Once MtGox is lagged out your traders might as well be playing SatoshiDice.

Saw ETF in the OP with EFT. ETF = Exchange Traded Fund
Thank you, I've removed 'ETF'. NameCoin should be adjusted. It isn't just for domain names, even though that seems to be the main use currently. It can be any key/value store.
I've adjusted the definition to include this information, thanks

[FYI] A lot of the addresses being posted here are by the same person using several accounts. They are easy to spot, as all the accounts were created around the same time in 2012. They made no posts until now, and all posts are copies of a previous reply in the thread.

You will need to contact support at the site the coins were supposed to be sent from.

While your waiting for your client to sync you can check the status of your transactions here http://blockchain.info/. Just paste the address into the search box.

I've posted a link in the thread. Regarding newbie privileges; Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts (new topics or replies). If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic. Also: - Newbies cannot upload their own avatars. - You must have made one post in order to send PMs. - You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature. Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. (The system automatically checks every 10 minutes and promotes people as appropriate.)

I believe mothersuckers is a robot.

I've recently noticed that the newbie section is becoming full of posts made by robots. The bots post a copy of a previous reply in order to get five posts and circumvent the newbie restrictions.
Is this allowed, or should post bot accounts be reported?

'Volatility' A measure of how unstable the market is, for example, frequent and large swigs in market value would be described as a highly volatile market. Sounds like my uncle Jim Haha, thanks for spotting the mistake.

Anyone knows why Fiat is called Fiat?
Google told me me that 'fiat' is Latin for "let it be done". I assume this means that fiat money is so called because its value is derived from law or decree.

JDBIF Joker Dragon BTC Investment Fund
Thank you for your suggestion. But, at the present time the abbreviation 'JDBIF' is not in common use on the forum.
