The last ones that I set up were on the 9th of July with Regato, so nope not me, my number of minions has been steady since then though I've had a lot of demand from people wanting to buy the rewards to set up their own and this from new people mostly, also I know of one guy on the dash talk forum who's just set up 25 MN with Node40 this week, he bought on the exchanges. I also have a standing order from one UK guy who is buying a lot from me daily starting from a few days ago, not sure what he does with them though.
Otoh,
Evening there  Grin
Am wondering how did that cryptocurrecy show go in Jersey at the start of July.
Weren't you going to mention Dash to a few big hitters, did they take any notice, what was the feedback ?
Evening Smiley
It was an amazing conference, very professional indeed, mostly geared towards trusts, trustees and lawyers who work with them, a lot of fun knowing more about crypto than so many smart people gathered together to discuss it, they definitely saw it as something that their clients would be asking them to either buy with their trust funds or place already bought/mined ones in to trusts with them and I was able to point them to secure ways of doing this with Bitcoin at least, I didn't get in to DASH with them as they were mostly focused on Bitcoin or just the concept of crypto in general, they were too new to it all and a bit skeptical of the whole scene to be very receptive I thought, but I made some good contacts and if I need legal work done locally or with crypto I shall certainly use the company that organized it and it's quite possible that I may also set up a trust with some of my coins as they are allocated to go to a charitable donation and other beneficiaries, so I would be certainly talking about DASH then I imagine.

Edit
They also looked in to what crypto was, like money/currency/commodity, etc, what regulation would be applicable, one of the speakers is advising Jersey on drafting proposals for this atm, https://bitcoinmagazine.com/21183/government-jersey-publishes-consultation-paper-risks-regulation-digital-currencies

Thanks for filling us in, this is very interesting, I bet you wanted to tell them about the excellent yield from owning a masternode but one step at a time eh (isn't the Isle of Man trying to put it's self as Uk's No.1 crypto island haven)
Is quite handy as Jersey are your next door neighbours and just happen to have trillions squirreled away in off shore company stashes as well, this could go well together  Grin

My response to Peter Todd's remark.
Apart from you, nothing else made much sense Roll Eyes

Its not that they can't understand, its that they can not see past the small mindedness of instamine (yawn) and scam(more yawn) etc, they appear stuck in terminal confirmation bias iterative loops.

How many of those does Evan own?

Drk is nice and all but in the eyes of many, perhaps BTC will always be king. I could possibly see Drk replacing Ltc though as the silver of Btc.
My vision: DASH/BTC ratio  Roll Eyes

2015: 1/100
2016: 1/50
2017: 1/25
2018: 1/12
2019: 1/6
2020: 1/3
2021: 2/3
2022: 3/2
2023: 3/1
2024: 6/1
2025: 12/1

With respect, name calling is meeting someone on their level, focus not on the base level of human ignorance trivia but look past that and upwards to the big ideas and coding to put it into place, that is what is important. Smiley

I am willing to bet that he has never tried the Dash or Monero wallets for comparision ...

And with the way V12 is coming along, fuggedaboutit...
Version 12 is exceptional and almost finished, decentralized voting and funding has never before been been coded like this before, there is instant propagation across the masternode network and added user interaction ready to tailor to the funding needs of the developer on a particular project.
And the new none reference node model for paying masternodes is ticking like an atomic clock.
This could perchance be used for other applications such as hash verified documents like stock certificates and legal documents Grin

Teter Podd is obviously all butthurt  Roll Eyes
Maybe he turned against Dash after reading this:
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/evan-duffield-dash-darkcoin-dash-will-position-direct-competitor-bitcoin/
Fact of the matter is: He refuses to bring forth one solid argument against Evan's product. Obscure innuendos are usually indicators of insecurity.
Is he a smart computer scientist? No doubt.
Is he a person with human emotions and human weaknesses? Hard to believe, but yea, he is.
The entire blocksize debate has proven how poor character traits can bring progress to a screeching halt and I feel he is projecting his frustrations onto what he perceives as a menace to "his baby".
War with other nations is -among other purposes- used to distract from inner political conflicts.
No wonder he chose our self-declard enemy TR(o)L(lero) to praise when he thinks this "pushes our buttons". Well, I for one, am not triggered.

I kept the masternode countries from 29th June and compared to 17th July, here are the notable changes,

Biggest risers

Germany = +54 masternodes = 572
America = +32 masternodes  =  715
Netherlands = +17 masternodes =279

New Countries, 38 in total

Turkey = 1
Egypt   = 1

Disappearing Countries

None observed.

same applies to external usb backup, I actually have never tried updating a memory stick as a synced wallet, would be interested to see how long it took. Useful if you want instant access to funds in a day trader related emergency  Grin

Now you can run 2 or more wallets at the same time and transfer your 1k around on the same machine, and if your version of windows goes kerboom, you will still have usable wallets on the D drives ready for use  Grin
I was thinking about creating a second Windows user account on the same machine, only for MN use.
I suppose that would be more secure but if windows fails, no easy access!
thats why you have MN's wallet.dat and dash.conf secured on many places Smiley

I have a local walet (a Dash QT wallet) with a few addresses. One of those addresses is used to collateralize a masternode but the QT wallet doesn't know and doesn't care. If I tell QT Wallet to send 600 Dash to an exchange it will do so without caring which address is which.

A handy tip to operate 2 or more wallets on different drives at the same time is to create a folder on your second hard drive called something like dashmasternode, then in cmd dos window go into your dash folder on your C drive and enter this,
dash.exe -datadir=D:\dashmasternode

let it sync and make sure the config(dash.conf)in the dashmasternode on drive D has,
listen=0

paste your C drive encrypted wallet into the new dashmasternode folder.
After double checking all is good on the D drive, delete (or rename for para safety) the C drive wallet and masternode config and run the normal dash.exe again letting it create a new 'hot' empty wallet for general local use.

Now you can run 2 or more wallets at the same time and transfer your 1k around on the same machine, and if your version of windows goes kerboom, you will still have usable wallets on the D drives ready for use  Grin

its brilliant to watch the climb...there must be a balance, it would not be a good idea to have 5000 masternodes for a coin circulation of 5.5 million coins
According to "Duffenomics", that's supposed to sort itself out automatically since the yield reduces with an increasing full node population. But what that doesn't take into account is what's happening in the Bitcoin / USD markets as you say. If Dash stays coupled to BTC - or even rises against it - then isn't that dynamic somewhat offset by a rising dollar revenue ? - thus maintaining the incentive to put up masternodes.
It would be an interesting dynamic to model and simulate if we understood the connection between all the variables, simulink could do the job, hey wheres my old lecture notes got to? think I might have dumped them, lol Roll Eyes

O its brilliant to watch the climb  Cool
I notice there is a 'correction' every 6-8 weeks and a loose correlation with the bitcoin price.
Market conditions will effect the climb, such as wallet releases and dollar yield per masternode but there must be a balance, it would not be a good idea to have 5000 masternodes for a coin circulation of 5.5 million coins -otherwise liquidity and volume would be throttled and the masternodes would have too much control over the currency for a free market.
