421  Economy / Economics / Re: The collapse of central banks...Inevitable? on: April 18, 2024, 09:02:54 PM
If the global economy continues to deteriorate, do you think central banks will collapse? If that happens, it will be the end of Fiat for good. In such a scenario, do you think Bitcoin will become the currency of the world?
No. Central banks will adopt the recent trends and opportunities the financial market has to offer, including the features provided at decentralized finances, so they centralize it in order to benefit themselves, like always, while average adopters pay extra costs to be allowed to continue operating on such niches of the market. One example are cryptocurrencies, which central banks are already trying to adopt or at least copy the technology behind them to launch their own coins and tokens.

That is how they are merging the fiat and cryptocurrency elements into a single coin, so they can ensure fiat is never going to disappear. As consequence, there is no room for another kinds of coins or goods to replace fiat currency in the future. Moreover, I don't think most people in our socities have the required mindset to do this replacement.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: April 16, 2024, 10:55:36 PM
Thinking on public investments in Bitcoin performed by nations nowadays we have the example of El Salvador, which was discovered recently to be holding above 5000BTC, which were moved to a cold wallet. That means more than 318$ million dollars in public funds. But if we divide that total sum for the number of citizens the country has (6.336 million - 2022), we are going to end with 50$ bucks of dollar for each citizen, which is a very similar amount of money compared to the initial giveaway of 30$ the government offered to adopters in the country when they firstly went into Bitcoin legal tender.

It's definitely not enough money to solve the poverty issues of a nation. Maybe it's a powerful boost to improve the quality of public services and infrastructure at some point, but I believe the only way to get rid of poverty is through education, technological development and smartness to offer products and services which will be highly valued by the global societies, which can become potential foreigner customers.

That is how rich nations achieved the status they have today. They influence foreigner countries and make them consume their products and services. Meanwhile, third world countries don't develop anything by themselves. They just sell raw materials to the big ones and purchase the final product from the developed nations for very expensive prices.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Few days to 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 16, 2024, 10:44:05 PM
So, What is your thought seeing the price of Bitcoin smashed the ATH a month before its halving?
I don't think it's an alarming scenario. It's actually expected to have some price manipulation right before the halving, so weak hands give their coins away, while whales and confident investors keep purchasing the dip right before the prices suddenly pump to new price ranges.

1. Could this mean that we are on the verge of witnessing an explosive Bitcoin rally as a result of the Bitcoin ETFs approval.
An explosive rally is expected, but not due to ETFs' approval. ETF's impact already happened once it was approved months ago. What we are going to see from now on is the impact of halving event over Bitcoin's price. That is the main reason why Bitcoin is going to get highly valuable soon.

2. Do you think that the Bitcoin Bull market is going to end sooner than later after the halving?
I can't say anything about it, as the length of bullish markets are always a mistery which can't be foreseen by anyone. We have lots of speculations on this matter, stating the bull run won't cease before Bitcoin hits 150,000$ or 200,000$, but that is highly optimistic in my opinion, and we must be always aware about whales who are also following this market's trends closely in order to mould the tendencies in a way they can be benefited, while everyone else gets lost trying to understand the charts and Bitcoin's next moves.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Proof of Scam ? on: April 15, 2024, 05:01:18 PM
What is really worrieing me at the moment is the term "halving".

When I asked some people what it ment they thought it ment the price was going to be "halved".
It just takes a minute to search for the 'halving' term on Google and find its meaning. It's normal some people may think the term refers to the price of Bitcoin being halved, if they are naive or uneducated on economical, financial and crypto matters, but it's not something hard to understand and interpret once you access the real meaning on different websites disponible on the internet talking about this topic.

It's not something to worry about, because it's just too simple to get it... You can even explain what halving means to people who you were talking about, and they should have no difficult finally assimilating the real meaning of the term. And once they do understand, they will help explaining it to other people who also might have gotten it wrongly. I think this whole discussion is a big storm in a teacup after all...
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: April 15, 2024, 04:51:38 PM
Some people take gambling as a do or die thing that must give them profit, and that will trigger them to keep on gambling in an irresponsible way by chasing their losses at all time. This will make them become addicted to gambling, because they cannot control their emotions and understand that it is not a most that you will be profitable in your gamble.

I think that gamblers needs to understand what can trigger someone of losing more to gamble and avoid it so that they can limit their losses. Because there is no way anyone can say that he will not lose in gamble, when we all know that gamble takes more from us that what it gives to us. Some gamblers have gambled for two months without being lucky, and they are not bothered about it. This is because they understand how to gamble and enjoy the thrill.
If someone really enjoys gambling, he has to develop the mindset where gambling will still excite him, even aware about the fact he isn't likely make profit on long term the more he plays. He has to see excitement even when the scenario doesn't look favourable for him in gambling. That is to see entertainment beyond profits. If the gambler is able to do this, then I think it's a good hobby activity to be practiced. However, if it doesn't make any sense for the gambler and he sees no purpose on what I just said right now, I fear it's not something he should be practing.

He would do better by looking for something else he can practice as hobby, which will be exciting and entertaining for him, without bringing negative consequences such as frustration and financial despair in the end. Gambling isn't for everyone, and people should know themselves better in order to find out if it's their case or not.
426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin way forward - Towards $100k or $50k on: April 15, 2024, 01:37:44 AM
Too early to talk about 100,000$ yet. Bitcoin is fighting to gain position above 66,000$ resistance level right now, still above the 65,000$ line relatively stable. I hope we don't see a new correction to 50,000$, because it would delay the progress towards a new ATH. Anyway, it doesn't look like it's going to have a correction like that, because the price doesn't fall below 60,000$ since March, even during delicate moments like the one we faced yesterday.

The tendency is that Bitcoin breaks the next resistance levels and consolidate its price above the 70,000$ mark as we approach and pass through the halving date. There are good expectations we will see Bitcoin hitting 100,000$ or 150,000$ until the end of this bullish cycle. So, I guess our chances are more optimistic than pessimistic at this time, although we shouldn't neglect the possibility of the global scenario influencing Bitcoin negatively at some point futurely if the conflicts and hostility escalate in the East.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Counting the cost of a ww3. on: April 15, 2024, 01:24:59 AM
Thinking about costs, just to have some idea, the outstanding defense performed yesterday by Israel and allies costed more than 1$ billion dollars. That was the cost only to intercept the missiles launched against Israel. Now image a large scale conflict involving several attacks like that simultaneously in different regions of the world. How many billions of even trillions of dollars wouldn't a WWIII cost? It's insane to think people can burn a billion of dollars in a clash which didn't last even 1/4 of a day.

But to be fair, I think it has paid off very well. No casualties for Israel and 99% of the missiles intercepted with success! To put money into self-defense means to put money into good use. I know many people think it's a waste of money to use it for wars, but the reality is that nations have no choice besides investing in military affairs, under the risk of being instantly subdued by enemy forces in case they don't do so.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 15, 2024, 12:51:44 AM
My losses today in sports betting is proudly sponsored by my greediness to get to my target ASAP. After taking the first loss, I took another unplanned, impromptu bet to try and recover some losses. What happened? Even more losses. Greediness and emotional strength are some underrated traits that anyone that gambles need to have because it's a game where you can either win or lose and you need to be able to take the losses as much as you enjoy the winnings.

Most people don't know but sometimes, the best gambling strategy is not gambling at all or taking action.
Greediness and impatience is a fatal combination which gamblers must avoid at all costs. When the plan doesn't go as expected, it's better to calm down a little bit, relax and take a break from gambling until you come up with a new plan which can be executed in a promising manner, so you increase your chances of recovering the first lost bet through the second one. But when gamblers act impulsively, worried about recovering losses without planning their next actions carefully, the gambling session ends becoming a snowball of unrecoverable losses.

Anyway, you can learn from the experience you had today in order to not repeat it again next time.
429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Iran strikes Israel. Crypto crashing heavily... on: April 14, 2024, 09:03:53 PM
So far there is nothing to worry about, because Bitcoin immediately recovered its price right after the crash, returning to 64,000$, despite the 61,700$ dip. It was a good opportunity to buy cheap coins once again and investors didn't miss the chance, as we can see prices recovering already. Bitcoin is still bullish and that is great news to maintain the confidence of the market in high levels of trust and bullishness.

Moreover, Iran's missiles didn't cause any major damage to Israel, so it's unlikely we are going to see a counter-attack or escalation of the war for now, especially because USA asked Israel to not do so. However, at some point this war will inevitably happen, it's just a matter of time. We just got some extra breath for now, what can be precious time for Bitcoin to shine once again towards a new ATH.

Israel's next steps are still unknown, but it's just too dangerous for them to ignore the hostility of its neighbors from now on, as they proved to be ready to launch direct attacks without using allied terrorists groups anymore for that purpose. At same time, Israel's enemies have also spotted not every neighbors are willing to attack Israel, as we have the example of Jordan which played a very important defensive role yesterday.

Anyway, if Israel decides acting against Iran, we are likely to see another crash in crypto market.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: April 14, 2024, 08:08:43 PM
Yeah kids are built to test limits and explore but need I to mention that they are equally built to be be rebellious too and are ready to get on your last nerve without considering the implications, even the most behaved kid can still display these characteristics.

So the question is, how exactly can one make and leave this lasting impression on them considering these facts.
If kids are rebellious, they have to disciplined by the parents. It's important to understand why they are displaying such behaviors and why parents are failing to succeed disciplining them. There might be several causes and reaching the truth may be complex, so each case must be followed closely.

At same time, we can't misunderstand rebellion with curiosity. Children are curious about everything, therefore it's possible they will find a way to get involved with gambling if they are heavily curious about it in the current moment. Then parents have to manage the situation in the most natural possible manner, while at same time not encouraging their children into dangerous paths which can bring further negative consequences in the future.

I guess if the child sees his parents are trying to care for him, that they are trustful people who can be counted on every situations encountered by the child, and have an open dialogue with the child regards the matters he is curious about, the right impression will last on him.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: April 14, 2024, 07:54:24 PM
On the other hand he is addicted to being unfaithful.
Neymar is a typical example of person who lives for the world. He 'masters' the material world, having access to all the facilities, pleasures and comfort disponible for wealthy and influent individuals. For that reason, I think your phrase above is totally accurate and summarizes the description of Neymar very well, because when the person focus only on material stuff, he will be easily dragged by addictions and ephemeral pleasures, which don't mean anything on long run, while giving up on his human essence, which involve deep feelings of peace, self-consciouness, welfare which demand sensibility from the individual to be experienced.

If the person loses contact with this part of his existence, inevitably he will become unfaithful, empty, cold and indifferent to people and moments which should be important and full of meaning for him. I guess people start living on an automatic mode, shutting off their conscience more and more each new day and each new bad choice they make for their lives, worsening symptoms of addictive behavior, and even worse: symptoms of unfaithfulness...
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: April 14, 2024, 01:37:48 PM
Patience. Everyone uses it, but do they understand? You do. You know patience is crucial in every money game, not just gambling. Unfortunately, most people are wired for quick wins, get-rich-fast schemes. This is how they're played

The perfect example is gambling. People consider it a shortcut. It's not. After one lucky hand, you feel invincible. Then it becomes ugly. You crash harder than you ever soared due to impatience, greater investments, and crazier risks. A damn cycle, and not only about cards or spaces. This garbage is everywhere—stock market, business dealings

Man, this is life. The tortoise and the hare, remember? Instant pleasure poisons our time. Patience is needed for lasting success. This requires grinding, thinking, and occasionally playing it safe. Who has time for that in this chaotic world? That's our dilemma
In a world where we are used to get things immediately under the reach of our fingers at digital devices, it seems our capacity of being patient receded, so we became more vulnerable to the different offers, challenges, obstacles and events presented by the world. Pleasure is instant, but at same time more ephemeral than ever! If we aren't supplied on our demands quite fast, we get instantly angry and annoyed. In gambling it's not different... And that is where many gamblers lose control over their emotions, and consequently can't manage their bankrolls responsively and efficiently anymore.

I see no other solution, besides being attentive to all these changes happening in modern world and how it influences our behavior and internal organism. So we can find time to educate ourselves on how to be more patient, despite all the pressure received from the external environment which seems overwhelming and suffocating sometimes.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you avoid some games because of racism? on: April 14, 2024, 01:27:52 PM
Next time would you choose to not bet on a particular game because you feel the members of the VAR, or the referee are racist, and you are sure that there would be some manipulation?

Lack of fairness may be found in all part of sporting activities and we cannot avoid that because people have their own different ways of judging a situation, this will make me not to buy the idea of accepting that racism exist in the VAR system, because the way you may judge can be totally different from how others may do theirs, we have the way everyone sees and reason things to be different from each other, if there have been racism in the VAR system, maybe many would have been discouraged in them because of lack of fairness, but such does not exist.
Racism, which can be translated into lack of fairness in sports, can be a big issue for gamblers when placing their bets, because it means the games are being fixed and manipulated somehow. The gambler can do the most accurate analysis of the incoming match, but if a manipulation happens during the game by the referee or VAR, then it will completely compromise his bet. Therefore, I think it's a wise decision to avoid leagues and matches which are prone to be manipulated, as it increases the chances the games aren't going to have legit outcomes.
434  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your view on abortion? on: April 14, 2024, 01:17:37 PM
So many countries which have believed that abortion is punishable in the past have changed their laws to accommodate abortion in a legal way. When a pregnancy is totally unwanted it could be nice to terminate such pregnancy in the early stage where it is  blood rather than to allow it develop into a baby who will turn to a full grown adult to terrorize the society one day because of lack good parental upbringing. Every country has their laws and it is best to abide by the law of your own country.
Murder of innocent lives will be always murder of innocent lives, doesn't matter how society names it in the present time, or how they claim it's a good thing, through the logic that 'the end justifies the means'. Abortion is part of Eugenics practice, which aims eliminating undesirable groups from society by not letting them born, what also includes disabled individuals which can have their disability identified during the gestation.

The current socities ignore and neglect the misteries of life which still go beyond the comprehension of science. They think to be able to mould the world as they wish, through their moral relativisms, bypassing the 'law of causality' where everything has a cause and effect, as if it was possible to do so... In a world where each person believes to be possible and feasible to create their own truths, everyone ends living a mutual lie, where everything seems fake, graceless, boring and not satisfacting at all. These are results of the choices made by human beings, which inevitably have to be harvested.
435  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Analysis - What's coming Next? on: April 14, 2024, 12:49:13 PM
There are some negative factors in the world which can influence Bitcoin's price negatively, such as threats of war between Iran and Israel...
Well, the attack from Iran to Israel yesterday had instant impact over crypto market, crashing Bitcoin from 67,000$ to 61,700$ in a matter of 2 hours. The market got out of control for a while with many fearing and speculating a major crash, which thankfully didn't happen. As soon as Bitcoin crashed to the support level, it already started pumping once again to current rates of 64,000$. It was a decent recovery, and just confirm the previous trend which indicates it's going to remain stable inside 60,000$'s price range for now.

I don't think, however, it was a direct impact of the conflict. Rather, it must have been speculators trying to take advantage of the attack to manipulate the market, through encouraging investors to believe a major crash was coming, leading them to sell their holdings, so the whales could buy another batch of coins cheaper before the next ATH. Bitcoin didn't fall below the 60,000$ line, though, so the market calmed down and resumed the previous tendency.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: April 13, 2024, 08:52:46 PM
For me, it's quite difficult to feel happy about losing money. However, there are also some cases where I feel happy losing money, which is when I gamble with my family and friends with small amounts of money, which has more entertainment elements than win or lose. And the second case where I feel worthy and happy about the money I lost is when I receive some valuable experience from my losing game. I see it as money to gain experience, as tuition Grin.
You have to adjust your gambling habits through the most rewarding settings for yourself. And I'm not talking about financial rewards, but emotional ones. As you said to have more fun while gambling small amounts of money while enjoying the company of your family and friends, adopt this as the ideal gambling session to have from now on. Avoid doing things during your gambling session which will make you regret later and feel sad.

It seems you already know what is benefical and what is detrimental to yourself. Now you just have to practice one and avoid the other. Thankfully, your experiences were uplifting for you on this matter, what means they allowed you to learn with your mistakes and even though some of them were negative, they brought you to the state of consciousness you are today: an individual who knows and understands himself better than before, who developed and is likely to keep developing his self-knowledge trait, as he values experience and is attentive to it.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It’s unlikely that anyone besides you will be happy with your winnings. on: April 13, 2024, 08:39:41 PM
The worst part is that now the world is full of people like that, as in their quest to get more likes and become more known online, people are willing to share all kind of details that on the past they would not have shared with anyone, and this trend will not change on the short term, as with an increased use of social media, the more comfortable people will feel with increasing the amount of details they share about their private lives, which will bring them more likes, creating a vicious circle.
I believe people do this for two main reasons: they must be heavily needy for attention, or they must be making profit through exposing their lives virtually.  This trend started with vloggers sharing daily videos about their routines and personal lives on the internet, creating huge fanbases which surpassed the mark of million subscribers and generated a high income for these content creators through adsense. Others saw on it an opportunity to generate income as well, and so far it has been a constant phenomeon on the internet repeated by people from the most different niches.

However, in order to obtain success, these individuals have to start from zero, posting details, informations and news regards their lives which may sound tempting and eliciting for the audience. Then we have these people sharing prints of their big winnings at casinos, so the audience will develop a sudden interest for that person, as they might imagine he knows a strategy or secret which once shared, would also help the fans to win more often as well at casinos.

It would be naivety from us to think everyone sharing their records on the internet are doing this without any ulterior motives at all, just like it would be naivety to think everyone would be happy with our personal winnings and achievements in life.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 13, 2024, 08:25:26 PM
Ones a gambler has reached the stage whereby they don't take advise from anyone again, they are bound to make life threatening decision which might cause them their lives because they are likely to face depression and that could lead them to commit suicide after they must have sold all their life properties for the purpose of gambling. Gambling addiction to that level can even lead the gambler to start criminal activities just to gamble or to pay up his/her debts. One thing we must not good opportunity to is, taking loan for gambling, that could even be the beginning of your addiction.
That is a very dangerous addiction zone gamblers enter, because they start being a physical threat to the society and to themselves. Once the first signs are spotted, they have to be immediately accompanied by health services of the local community, in order to not let things escalate to a point where they are going to hurt themselves and people around.

Suicide can be seen as a measure to get rid of the problems they are facing in life and can't revert. That is the most drastic measure someone can think and execute in life. Criminal approaches are still part of feeding the addiction's process. It might be seen as a potential solution for the issue of having ran out of money. So they start stealing from others in order to maintain their gambling routines, expecting they will be able to revert losses. For some addicted gamblers involved in criminals activities, it's possible they imagine it will be possible to pay their victims back once they have recovered from losses.

Anyway, it's never going to happen...
439  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I disagree that each person has the right to choose their own path in life. on: April 13, 2024, 08:09:14 PM
It is said that everyone has the freedom to choose their own path in life, but the reality of today's world is completely different;
The world has already been more rigorous on this aspect before. Nowadays the new generations do what they want, without taking into consideration the advices and wishes of the older members of their families. One example is marriage. In older traditions, marriages were deals negotiated by the families of the bride and groom. And even though marriages are still material deals these days, in most cases, they are directly negotiated by the bride and groom themselves, what means they aren't forced anymore to marry someone they don't want.

the most powerful individuals in it now pressure their children to follow in their footsteps. Consider the best footballer in the world like Messi and Ronaldo from a different angle. Their children play football; are you arguing that this is their destiny or that their parents are pressuring them against their will?
Pressure makes the very act of choosing your own path in life harder, but it doesn't forbid you from doing so. Free will is still there and was guaranteed to you by God, who is above everyone and everything, what includes your family and society. People who say they have no choice are weak, being easily dragged by the hypes, trends and conveniences of material world, instead of being truly to their intuition and natural gifts.

Since the beginning of human history, the world's most powerful family has held distinct perspectives and shaped their offspring's trajectories. A hundred years ago, the best farmers, hunters, drummers, and other professions came from Africa. It was believed that a child born into such a family must have a certain gift from birth and fulfill a certain role in life.
It's not like this anymore. Traditions and wisdom from elders aren't valued anymore by the new generations when taking their own decisions. I guess much of that knowledge made a lot of sense along history, and guided many individuals through the right paths on their existences in this world, but in the end, there must always be a genuine congruence between the expectations this family or society has regards the individual and what the individual really feels he should pursue.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino gambling is more of profit chasers while land base is more of fun on: April 13, 2024, 07:54:22 PM
What is your opinion towards my research that online casino gambling has more of possesed players who stakes to make profits while the land base gambling is more of players who stakes for funs?
Well, talking about numbers, online casinos will always be more prevalent on every aspects, because there are more gamblers playing virtually than at physical shops these days. You have to do your research taking proportions into consideration instead of full numbers. I guess the fact there are more newbies and naive gamblers at online casinos make the belief it can be a profitable side hustle more frequent than among gamblers at land based casinos, where majority of gamblers are more experienced and have already learned how the game works, therefore they know what they can expect from it realistically.

Thinking from this point of view, I think your hypothesis make a lot of sense. But that is something you have to investigate deeper in order to reach accurate results which can prove your points and bring legitimacy to your theory.
