421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest to this project ? on: July 20, 2020, 05:48:05 PM
Hi , I have never invested for a project , i need to invest for a project and i have an idea to invest on this project - https://curioinvest.com/car/4
But i need your opinions about this project ? Is it a Scam project ?
Will it be Profitable for me ?

I did a research on curioinvest, and traded their token on probit. The project has a unique concept but the CUR token is more of pump and dump. So if you are looking to invest long term, I'll rather you take a u-turn and look for more reputable projects. Probably you've seen their Cointelegraph publication or people shilling it, do more research before you decide, don't jump into any project because of others opinion.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: July 20, 2020, 12:45:36 PM
It is a totally different game than hodling coins. Day traders often use technical indicators by themselves or apply it with news or fundamental analysis. DYOR before diving into trading on daily basis. No easy task

Day trading only favors me when there is FA on a coin for quick profit. Day trading requires setting tight stop loss which hits more often, that's the main reason why I switched to midterm trading which has been favorable. Once my technical analysis is done, I place my buy and when it picks, I place my sell target and stop loss. For instance, once I spot golden cross on weekly and daily chart, RSI is not overbought, and MACD crosses the signal line from top with other confluences to support the TA like candle stick patterns (say bullish pinbar, or bullish engulfing), I do not hesitate to enter the trade.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: July 19, 2020, 09:59:00 PM
Without any doubt, if I must hold a coin for more than one year, then it's certainly  would be bitcoin, with that I would have a relaxed mind, no matter the ups and down, there must surely be a rise, ethereum and xrp would be in my portfolio also.

I'm not disputing this fact but don't you think adding a few altcoins will make much sense? For instance, with a trader plus investor mindset, I will prefer holding a few coins and not just one. OP asking which coin to hold for more than a year should know almost everyone will go for BTC, but in practice who holds only BTC? I would prefer holding BTC, ETH and maybe ADA. Reason why I added ADA is because I'm expecting architecture improvements after Shelley hardfork.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: July 19, 2020, 06:51:53 AM
I think that's why an exchange should keep it's good performance to maintain a good reputation and keep their own utility token to be recognize as well. Because if it fails, i think they would lose their investors and some other people might not use their exchange to buy or sell a token.

I remember when people FOMO for exchange tokens, believing it must do say x10. Now it's glaring that it's not about exchange tokens, the most important thing is whether the exchange keeps up with development, hence ensuring high Liquidity plus bringing more advanced services to traders. Without this, an exchange token keeps dipping with time. Another aspect is whether the exchange token can be used outside the exchange, some like BNB and KCS have been doing ok in this regard.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in a wrong way on: July 18, 2020, 05:46:39 PM
First, they need to have patience in this market. If they invest without patience, I believe that sooner or later they will lose money and no money to continue investing. Then they need to have knowledge of this market and they need to conduct research before investing

I wonder why people still invest blindly in some altcoins without doing proper research. Patience is cool but risk management is more important when it comes to crypto investment. For example, when going long term on a coin, and I spot red flags along the line like team not giving updates, I sell off my bag and count my loss. This helps to avoid further loss, just an instance.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I won't bet on this on: July 18, 2020, 02:16:10 PM
The only concern is PayPal team may decides to back off on this project later, but if PayPal can successfully do it as said, then this will bring more bull run to cryptocurrency market, probably with this, Ethereum and top altcoins will pump more  soon.

That's the issue, paypal may backoff at last. Just like how Facebook is 'feet dragging' with Libra, due to regulatory issues. It will be a big bang if PAYPAL embeds crypto at last, will give more crypto exposure and entrance to millions also fostering crypto to go mainstream.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in a wrong way on: July 17, 2020, 10:47:19 PM
When it comes to trading, no matter how well you think you've learnt, you still need the experience to understand what it entails to go through emotions in trading and to know the best trading strategies which work for you. Mid term trading might work for me, but day trading might also be putting smiles on people's faces. However, do well to learn technical analysis before delving into trading, have reasons to buy a coin, set your sell order / stop loss so you don't go gambling with trades.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers favorite tools on: July 17, 2020, 12:11:30 PM
I learnt my own lesson about some useless use cases in crypto Projects through Airdrop hunting. I have something against the following use cases like

1. Artificial Intelligence projects
2. Gold backed tokens
3. Deflation tokens

Why? They hardly survives because they are mostly based on lies, these use cases are scammers favorite tools to deceive

Lol Also include adult industry projects. All I know in these categories have failed, even though a few projects based on AI still look promising. Worst is deflationary tokens, most if not all projects in this category were baseless. Trends come and go in this space, just learn to ride the trends while you can.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promising low market cap altcoins on: July 16, 2020, 09:32:38 PM
Chromia and ANKR for now are my favorite low cap coins, judging by development updates. This doesn't mean I'm holding both for long term, but I'm considering that. In as much as I do trade most altcoins, I'm very selective hence only big caps like ADA and of course ETH are on my portfolio for long term hold.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BINANCE TWITTER IS HACKED!! on: July 16, 2020, 01:57:11 PM
This is indeed shocking to see that one of the biggest crypto company binance has failed to keep their accounts safe from hacking, usually some former or current employee could be involved so binance should take this seriously and investigate it so that it should not happen again.

Binance is not supposed to be blamed, what about other prominent Twitter accounts which were hacked? There is supposed to be a form of 2FA on Twitter, which I haven't used or seen, so the blames should go to Twitter not binance. If this can happen to twitter, it can as well happen to exchanges hence the need for keeping funds in personal wallets. However, if 2FA was used, only very few hackers can bypass that.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Altcoins Failed To Win Over Bitcoin on: July 15, 2020, 07:21:09 PM
Bitcoin is like the foundation, any sane person won't compare it to altcoins. The market cap has proven this over time, the margin is clearly wide. Without Bitcoin, altcoins won't surface. Well, BTC nowadays is more like a store of value, hence altcoins are still very relevant for mass crypto adoption. Some altcoins claim to have more advanced blockchain architecture which is a welcome development.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto mass adoption closing in on: July 15, 2020, 12:47:54 PM
There is a saying that "Rome wasn't built in a day" and this applies to crypto adoption. If actually PayPal embed crypto payments, it's going to foster adoption with a great margin. In as much as DEFI is giving crypto more and more exposure due to people gaining interest, we still need security/audition projects like Quanstamp to ensure smart contracts for instance have no security issues. This is because aside regulations, security is another area drawing crypto back from mass adoption. We also need regulations enacted and better products from crypto projects which can be used mainstream.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to decide on: July 14, 2020, 06:26:39 PM
I think it's better to hold coins that have good prospects than to hold pesky coins because we don't need to worry when the cryptocurrency market suddenly goes down, but it all depends on each of our choices.

This is the more reason why OP needed crypto enthusiasts view on this, ADA is a great pick considering the kind of development coming to Cardano blockchain via Shelley upcoming hardfork. Investing in any coin entails risk, we all know and the market always has ups and downs as usual.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you come across any of these points you have every right to be suspicious on: July 14, 2020, 12:47:36 PM
Bad website design shows the project is not worth it, if the developers can't at least launch a fairly good website, meaning there is no hope for product. I don't even go close to new projects doing IEO on shitty exchanges, not to talk of investing. I've had a sad omen with crappie exchanges, hence I stick with IEOs done only on reputable exchanges. I do like all points by OP.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: July 13, 2020, 12:55:34 PM
a very useful strategy, but I personally prefer investing coins that have good prospects for long-term investments such as ETH, BTC, BNB even though the price is very volatile.

Even if you prefer investing in coins with good future potential for long term purpose, the strategy proposed by OP should still suit you. There is no harm holding some stable coins waiting for a market dump to buy the dips. This entails quick profit, but requires a lot of patience. Hence it's easier said than done.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: July 12, 2020, 08:58:17 PM
Depends on how much you are going in with and what you think is a risk. To me spending 100 dollars on 10 new coins means 1000 dollars risked and that's a lot, that would be over one month salary for me. However to some people that is nothing, that is play money, so they get in even bigger. So, as you can see it is something that changes from individual to individual and from amount to amount as well.

If YOU find it risky, that means it is risky to you, if I do not find it risky, that means it is not risky to me. That is the nature of risk, its changeable and that is why we can't really put a mark on any coin for being risky or not since it changes. Of course there are obvious shady or scammy looking ones, in that case that makes it risky to put in even 10 dollars but those are for obvious ones and not unsure ones.

It's true that risk level differs from person to person depending on your financial status, however even if your financial status is high, one still needs proper research before investing in new coins. Generally investing in new coins pose higher risk compared to already existing coins, but when the risk to reward ratio is ok, one can invest but with the mindset of investing what you can afford to lose.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins unite! on: July 12, 2020, 05:44:57 PM
Shitcoins are shitcoins because the devs are scammers, they have no intention of making a good product, they're doing it just to dump their premined stash and move on to a next shitcoin. They don't posses any extraordinary programming skills, so even if you take 100 such devs, they won't make a cryptocurrency that can compete with Ethereum or Bitcoin. Shitcoins need to die, that's the only solutions to this problem, but they will live as long as there are idiots who invest in them.

Very well 👍, Ethereum solidity has made creation of tokens very easy, hence criminals just create shitcoins and website, then start an aimless project to lure in gullible investors. I was surprised to see a 5 star dev on FIVERR collecting 20$ to create a token, this way scammers can patronize him and keep launching projects. It's funny how people still invest without thorough research.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: July 12, 2020, 01:42:53 PM
The strategy suggested by OP is dope from experience, however greed and impatience won't allow traders to hold stable coins and wait for market dump. I keep some of my portfolio in USDT and also I apply stop loss with USDT pairs so that if BTC dumps massively which leads to general market dump, I will take advantage of the market dip and make profit still.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: July 12, 2020, 06:03:22 AM
Although the whole market is red, I'm very much afraid of holding ETH now. In my opinion, ETH was fluctuated to its ATH when people were more interested investing in ICO. Nowadays ICO is almost dead. That is why it has less demand. I don't think it will get another ATH soon.
What's your thoughts on it?

In my opinion, ETH has great prospects than any other altcoin even presently. Its personal opinion to hold or not, but you should know that ETH coming upgrade will create positive impact even with the price, everything being equal but not a must. Probably you are not following what is trending with crypto market right now, which is DEFI (Decentralized Finance), and the propagator of this whole concept is Ethereum.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 11, 2020, 10:01:40 PM
Some of us into mining wayback still have useless coins which are dead presently, this doesn't mean one should blame himself for keeping the coins hoping it worth something tangible in future. This conception actually worked for a few coins, and was profitable for those whose major intention was to sell off and not to hold. Lesson learnt anyway, we move.
