I've tested v3.7.0 and it produces duplicates as well. I suspect a problem with Nicehash. Hodl has not seen a lot of changes and is mostly self-contained so it's unlikey it would have been affected by other work.

No way, it's completely different.

I'm pretty close to compiling the final .exe file. It fails though. The output is: /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-cygwin/6.4.0/../../../../x86_64-pc-cygwin/bin/ld: cannot find -lpthreadGC2
That's the same problem I have with CygWin, there is no mingw package for pthreadGC2. Or there wasn't the last time I dug into this. But this looks new: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39215894/pthreads-static-linking-with-mingwI'm very busy but if you give it a try let us know how it goes.

At now for my 4690k @4700GHz on lyra2z algo the best is 3.8.1 - 522.17 kH/s, 3.8.2 gives me only 505 kH/s
I backed out a previous optimization from Lyra2 because I couldn't get allium to work with it. It didn't seem to affect other lyra2 based algos so I may reenable it once I understand more.

cpuminer-opt-3.8.2https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/releases/tag/v3.8.2Fixed and faster myr-gr. Added x12 algo (Galaxie Cash), allium algo (Garlicoin). Faster lyra2rev2, lbry, skein. Large reduction in compiler warnings. The Windows binaries crash mining neoscrypt, use the legacy version instead. There is no estimate for resolution. 4 way has been implemented for sha256 and will be used instead of the SHA extension on ryzen CPUs, as well as all CPUs with AVX2. Performance of sha256-4way is expected to be better than SHA. Please report if otherwise. Affected algos are skein, lbry & myr-gr. Garlicoin is about to do a hard fork to switch to the allium algo. Please ensure the fork has occurred before using allium. There are occasional rejects mining allium (testnet) reporting low difficulty share. Based on when they occur they appear to be stale instead of low diff. Low diff rejects are usually a SW bug and affect all shares. Stale shares can occur and can sometimes occur in groups until a new block is issued by the pool. I messed up build.sh, changed to link to my local libraries and forgot to change it back. It needs to be editted before using.

I added null and 1 in the matrix, and now it builds, but it gives me a segmentation fault with either option. I think I'm missing something. Is there a chance I could chat with you through discord or something like that? Do you have time?
You need to allocate the matrix when you register the algo, take a look at lyra2rev2-gate.c. You're also missing some non-default gate functions. Take a look at the allium hooks in cpu-miner.c Or do you just want me to do it?

Hey there. I sent you an email yesterday about adding an algorithm. Did you get a chance to see it? I'd gladly tip you for your help. I stayed up pretty late last night troubleshooting, and I've already added the algo, but I can't get CPU temps or accepted/rejected hashes to show up when actually connected to a testnet pool. https://github.com/TheDankstoneMemery/cpuminer-optThere was no link in the email, not that I had already read it. Try using LYRA2REV2 instead of LYRA2RE. I'm not sure why it makes a difference but it does. You'll need to add another argument for the matrix, take a look at lyra2rev2.c for how it's done. You left a lot of defaults for gate functions. are you sure that's correct? I can add the algo, when it's working, and it will be much faster (with AVX2) compared to the your fork. CPU temps are only avaiable on Linux.

I'd still monitor temperatures on the NUC for the first few days of it mining just in case something goes out of whack (and maybe have some thermal paste on hand too). The Intel GPU itself probably won't mine quickly and I'd personally leave it be but your best bet is probably something like XMR with something like a NUC if you're looking to mine remotely profitably.
Yeah good idea, I'll be sure to keep an eye on that. I'm already using that NUC to CPU mine XMR for the past month or so and it's handled that pretty well. Running both the CPU and IGPU at 100% will push the temperature up, make sure the fan speed keeps up. Also be careful changing algos, some will stress the CPU more, some the GPU and some both. Co-mining will also have a higher memory load as both the CPU and IGPU share the same memory system. By comparing the speed co-mining vs each alone will show if there's any congestion reducing performance.

Hello, here are some results from myr-gr with 3.8.1.1 and 3.8.0.1, same Ryzen 1800x with Win 8.1 64-bit, cpuminer-avx2-sha:
But I have reproduced that neoscrypt is broken on Windows, it works on Linux I will investigate. Neoscrypt is broken since the cross-compile, I believe you said that you will have to rewrite it, but since its not very useful on cpu, its low on the priority list ) It looks like yet another alignment issue on Windows. I'll be testing a potential fix later today. About the rewrite, That has been delayed and will more likely be done incrementally instead of a complete rewrite.

Does cpuminer-opt support CPU SHA functions for sha256d algo? Below, it doesn't seem to be the case. # ./cpuminer --benchmark -a sha256d

[2018-02-13 05:20:19] 48 miner threads started, using 'sha256d' algorithm. No, sha256d doesn't use the SHA extension. I'm doing some 4 way work with sha256 and sha512. 4 way sha256 might actually be faster than SHA. However, sha256d has not been on my radar because it is hopelessly uncompetitive on a CPU. I might take a look at it eventually but, so many more things to do.

The concept of co-mining with an APU's CPU and IGPU is intriguing and opens up some interesting possibilities where they could work cooperatively but that's not where the APU market is. APU's are for smaller lower cost systems where a discrete GPU isn't required so high powered APUs are unlikely.
APUs also aren't designed for heavy duty use where both the CPU and IGPU are running 100% 24/7 so cooling would be an issue.
Another issue is that the CPU and IGPU compete for resources like memory so an APU mining rig would likely need more memory than would otherwise be needed.
It's somewhat like the development of hifi audio in the 1970's where all in one receivers started appearing which combined the power amp, pre-amp and tuner into one box. Initially they were aimed at the lower end of the market and shunned by those who wanted better quality. But they improved and now home theatre receivers are just as good as seperates.
Eventually APUs may go up-market and compete with seperates but they have a long way to go.

I keep running into this issue when I try to run cpuminer.. anyone have any ideas? ********** cpuminer-opt 3.8.1.1 *********** A CPU miner with multi algo support and optimized for CPUs with AES_NI and AVX2 and SHA extensions. BTC donation address: 12tdvfF7KmAsihBXQXynT6E6th2c2pByTT
CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 v3 @ 2.40GHz. SW built on Feb 11 2018 with GCC 5.4.0. CPU features: SSE2 AVX AVX2. SW features: SSE2 AVX AVX2. Algo features: SSE2 AES. The SW build requires a CPU with AES and AVX2!
ooo maybe it's because this 2630 for some reason doesn't have AES? But according to specs it should: https://ark.intel.com/products/64593/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2630-15M-Cache-2_30-GHz-7_20-GTs-Intel-QPIMaybe AES is disabled in the BIOS. Xeons being server CPUs may have that capability to reduce power in applications where encryption is not required. Just guessing. Edit: regardless of why your CPU doesn't have AES, if you can't enable it, the only recourse is to compile with -march=core2.

If it gets worse with more cards it's not likely a software issue, probably a resource issue like power.
man i have enough power i am using server psu's, don't waste your time Power was just an example of a resource issue. But I guess I am wasting my time with someone with a closed mind.

Just tried new 3.8.1.1 and it is working now, only neoscrypt not working. With 3.8.0.1 myriad-groestl speed is 10.95 mh/s, but with 3.8.1 and 3.8.1.1 it dropped to 7.65 mh/s. Using cpuminer-avx2-sha.exe with Ryzen 1800x, Win 8.1 64-bit. Thanks.
Benchmark or pool? Edit: my testing shows myr-gr only produces rejects and neoscrypt works on a pool. (AVX2 Linux) I don't care so much about benchmark so can you retest on a real pool to confirm? You should also see more speed on those algos that crashed on 3.8.1.

The same config with 16 cards + without oc work well. so i don't think that there is trouble with intesivity.
What does "die very fast" mean? How far it gets and how it dies is very important. Is there an error message? Does it start hashing? And how many is "16 cards +"? What is the maximum that work? i have tested 16 18 and 19 cards. 17 haven't tested. 16 works just fine and i have stoped experiments. when it is 19 gpus it started hashing always after intensity sets and sometimes it even 45 seconds shows hashes of 4 or 5 cards. when it was 18 gpus it die faster than 19gpu config in stage of intensity sets. I can't now show error's because i have removed 3 cards. just ccminer crashed system was stable. If it gets worse with more cards it's not likely a software issue, probably a resource issue like power.
