421  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: August 20, 2023, 10:59:11 PM
You are right, if the top casino will notify the update of the terms and conditions with several strategies so that all users are aware of the updated TOS of the casino that has been changed or has been added other points, the most effective way is to announce in the pop-up information after the user has logged in to his account and the casino must send a notification to the user's email so that changes to the TOS are not debated in the future, but if the casino fails to change the TOS to the detriment of gamblers and the casino will not publish information on changes to users so that the casino blames users for ignoring the TOS.

There's a usual line related to terms and conditions, "some terms might be changed or modified without noticing users".

Whether the casino should notify the users or not, really depends on users on approaching the site if something unusual happened. We don't really know what will be the scenario if these casinos began questioning us. We should participate lightly and calmly to what they asked for and just follow what they want us to do.

We have no choice after all, right?

In case we already give everything and still have no sign from them of giving us a positive answer, we can act now to the next level by putting pressure on them. We can spread their bad approach to their users on some famous community forums and spam some complaints at some gambling site checkers.
422  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 20, 2023, 10:52:22 PM
so long you are not harming or bothering anyone, they don't have the business to know what you're doing. unless, you have a lot of debts and your family is directly bothered by these lenders, then maybe time to re-think your choices here.
but as much as possible, better keep your gambling activities to yourself. at least you have your peace of mind that no one is badgering you about your habit. even if they are not affected by it

I think even under debt, something like gambling won't also be part of the said interrogation. Like debt for example, as you mentioned, the purpose will be to ask if they can pay a certain money and that's it. And I doubt a person involved will really tell the public officials that he is involved in gambling and so what.

I agree with the last part of the statement that as much as possible, it's good to just keep our gambling habit secret.

I don't see any reason why we should tell others about it in the first place.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you will do? on: August 19, 2023, 09:14:20 PM
If losing streak is really crazy where at some point we feel that the system might manipulating the result against us, it's time now to wake up and don't expect that luck will hit us anytime soon. Instead of pursuing that luck, it's not wrong to take a break for a bit and just calm anything.

Forcing ourselves to continue doing betting even at losing streak will just make everything worst. By taking a break, we are just doing some refreshment from everything and tried to start again at the start. Who knows that on our next session, it's now our time to shine.

Responsible gambling should always be a priority.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: August 19, 2023, 05:37:00 PM
When I already huge amount while I can’t withdraw my balance due to my pending deposit

Just curious mate, does it mean you started playing with prior deposit or new deposit since that deposit got stuck or something?

Either way shouldn't be the case on why withdrawal is not eligible? Just want to know how it happened? Withdrawals should always be allowed as long as it was done thru normal deposits even with new pending deposits.

Because of that, I remember back then when participating a new player promotion. After reaching the wagering requirement, I still able to achieved several winnings but as always, there's a maximum withdrawal and a real deposit should be made first before the profits can be cashout.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 19, 2023, 02:05:55 PM
I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.

Anyone who really experienced winning big right away in gambling will eventually lead their gambling activity into a habit or regular doing. It's now the start of the thinking that winning is just easy to achieve in gambling. Then from there, it now depend on the person if they will be responsible along the way or will end up worst.

Fortunately, there are people that didn't pursue their gambling interest since they didn't experience winning at all even as a newbie and never being influenced by the famous gambling term 'beginners luck". Since being always a loser from the start of their gambling, they just decided to quit.

Winning or losing can lead to reckless gambling but I'm sure it mostly on winning as a start.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: August 19, 2023, 12:10:02 PM
I don't know what was in the betting agent's mind that he decided to give a loan to the gambler  Huh

Factors might be; regular customer, known person, knows the person financial capability and related factors.

Although technically, regular casino workers are not supposed to give loans or do have the authority to execute such actions not unless they are allowed to do so. Loans always associated with credit checking and if eligible, it would just take a moment to be credited.

Generally, loans in casinos, if there's any, are rare to found.

And I don't even know if there's one exist even on a biggest casino.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to tell if a new coin is worth investing in! on: August 19, 2023, 03:11:26 AM
If a coin introduces a completely new technology that enables a different function and is sustainable in the long term, does it have the potential to be a worthwhile investment?

Read the entire use-case and analyze from there how that coin technology does make sense.

Everything has the chance to have potential but it depends on:

- how realistic the use-case is
- is it really necessary to be applied or implemented
- will it solve some of the usual issues in crypto and so on

To the question, if it's worth investing, there's no accurate answer to that. Even with how potential the project is, without proper funding, good support, and unable to attract more investors, it might have a hard time achieving all those goals in the roadmap.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 19, 2023, 01:39:31 AM
What does he mean by that? Does he mean they have achieved more so far at the same age or division, or does he believe that Inoue would be able to surpass the success of Pacman? Many experts believe that there's a very slim chance that someone in the current generation would surpass what Pacman has achieved. So, if Inoue is special, he might be able to prove the experts wrong.

Definitely not the overall achievement but rather "maybe" how Arum sees Inoue's skills and power at the current division.

Naoya Inoue surpassing Manny Pacquiao shouldn't be a topic in the first place since they both build their own path in different generations. Managing both Pacquiao and Inoue for several years, Bob Arum can speculate what he thinks is going to happen in the future and he can compare the past to the present.

We should just respect his statement as he knows both more than us.

If we are somehow to argue with that statement, then just keep it to ourselves.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: August 18, 2023, 10:59:03 PM
My main focus on this thread is in this question: as a gambler do you place your bet according to the weight of your financial need or you're always okay with whatever amount that comes out as potential win no matter how small amount?

Either way, different people have different views about how much should be the potential win.

I'm sure that most gamblers do have a set winning amount prior to starting a certain gambling session. But when that target winning is already reached, it will come to the question if they will continue or not. Why should stop in the first place if they feel lucky? Then they will continue.

The reality of gambling is, it's really hard to fulfill the satisfaction especially when winning. We will continue no matter what and will enjoy the game more. I know most of us here think that we shouldn't stop playing once we are lucky even we already reached a potential win and should cash it out.

The temptation to continue is really always there once winning. Therefore, our problem here is ourselves.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 18, 2023, 10:47:36 PM
Congratulations to Gilas Pilipinas! I received an update from a Facebook group.

The final score was Gilas Pilipinas - 85, Ivory Coast - 62. That's a complete domination by our team. Now, what I'm interested to know is who led that win and the individual performances of the players. This is a promising start—only 2 more games to go. If we can secure victories in the remaining two matches, people might cease criticizing the Gilas lineup and instead have confidence that our team will emerge victorious.

Wait, don't get hyped. The 3 tune-up games before the FIBA game are lighter. Much even lighter compared to the recent tournament they went through. It's not even good that an easy win will come in those tune-up games because it should be the basis of choosing the Final 12-man pool in the Gilas.

If these tune-up games will be easy, how come to Coach Chot and SBP will be able to see who's the better guy at a critical point? Currently, it's not yet decided who will be removed from the current pool, and getting easy games won't help with the decision.

These 3 teams that Gilas will face in the tune-up games are NOTHING compared to the teams they will face on the official bracket.

Gilas Pilipinas is in Group A with Italy, Dominican Republic, and Angola. These teams are truly monstrous.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 18, 2023, 10:36:39 PM
I thought it was alarming but doing research online I found out that there's nothing to worry about it's just a relapse dream, it happens when you are trying to shut one habit in this case gambling too much.

How about you have you experienced dreaming that you are playing in a casino, is this alarming to you?

After playing several hours in slots online, especially where I achieved lots of winnings, that moment will probably appear in my dream and not the other way around which is playing in a physical casino. Doesn't really alarming to appear in my dream because it's just a part of what we did a while ago that's why even while sleeping, it creates an imaginary situation.

I also not came up with the point that kind of dream should be alarming because how come and what's the connection between what we see in our dreams and what should be the effect of it in reality, not unless you are a superstitious guy that believes in any saying about the dream.

Just don't mind it and continue with our usual gambling habit. There are lots of things to worry about rather than what appears in our dream. Smiley
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: August 18, 2023, 10:25:02 PM
The chances of people winning there are not the same as your chances of winning because the broadcasters are given extra chances and free money so I don't take their winnings into account. No matter how much they win I'm not interested in it because I know there is a game in it.

If the money is sponsored, what's the connection to that on the streamer's winning rate? Streamers are playing the same algorithm same as users. There's no point in manipulating that part as they will just give dirt to their reputation as a streamer. Most gambling streamers are playing fair and square.

And just a correction, the majority of streamers are not really being sponsored. The money they are using came from their own pocket as what matter there is, they should attract more views on their stream as that will be the basis of their profit and revenue.

It just looks like these streamers have a good winning rate because they have a large bankroll which means more chances to hit that good winning. Since they can keep up their gambling session in the long run, they have the chance to get good winnings later on. But not all the time, streamers are lucky.

There's also a pre-recorded and live stream where on the former, only winnings are being published that's why it looks like they are always winning in reality. If you watch live stream, you will encounter gambling streamers that really losing as that was part of the entertainment.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 18, 2023, 10:11:26 PM
What will be your advice for this young boy?

Will our advice, comments, and suggestion will probably reach the said boy? Smiley

I think any advice that we will say here doesn't matter because, in the first place, you know that boy more than us. It's easy for us to say, "go tell that kid to stop", as if it will really stop and ends there. I know you know what to do more than us here and no need for us to specifically advice what should the boy must do.

As per your observation, the kid is a responsible gambler at young age therefore you just need to do some tweaks to just enjoy the gambling for now and don't take it seriously. Have time to give that kid a friendly talk then observe what will happen later on.

You can do it, bro. It's in your hands now where that kid should go.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: August 18, 2023, 09:58:32 PM
Again, if a bet is lost on the advice of others, one should not get excited or blame anyone.

It should always be the case regarding that specific situation you have mentioned.

Losing a certain bet and blaming someone because of that is considered crappy behavior and not appropriate, not unless that said the bet was being forced. Either way, how come there are people who will rely on someone on what to bet or how to bet? We should have our own judgment as it's our own money at stake.

Not saying it's totally wrong to rely on someone, especially if that said gambler is really good, but we should always understand the risks. Gambling isn't as easy as anyone thinks and if we see gamblers having a good run in doing gambling, to the point that it now acts as one of their primary income, people should realize that these gamblers spend a long time before reaching that stage.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 12, 2023, 05:11:09 AM
I hate to say this, but his playstyle is way out already compare to other current bigs out there. On the other hand, I don't know if there will be a team that will try, and get him in the NBA even only with a veteran minimum contract, and I also wonder if Howard wants to play in the NBA still.

Dwight Howard's usual playstyle can still work at the current NBA even though most big men now can shoot 3s and do perimeter shots, only if he's currently in his prime. But since we can consider him already past his prime, teams can't rely on him much with his usual playstyle, especially with the offensive part. Although looking at the good side, he can still be a big threat defending the paint. His presence in the paint can force teams to only limit their offense outside, at least.

Not bad if teams will offer him a 1-year veteran minimum contract like what he did 3 times in the Los Angeles Lakers.

But your question is also good as mine, not sure if there's an NBA team that will give him another stint in the league.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 12, 2023, 04:06:19 AM
I noticed that when I start to play games like keno, limbo, dice, etc. First some bets don't hit and after wagering some percentage of my balance it starts to hit,
How it works? like when we wager we have more probability to hit win, anyone noticed this? Do you know how it works and what is the calculation behind it?, do server sends outcomes by checking our wager?

Same experience here in some cases but I am also in the conclusion that our wager affects the outcomes of our bet in provably fair games. Since the result is random and the house always wins, we will really end up thinking that something like your example exists. Besides, at some sites, especially dice sites, every bet can be checked manually if it's fair or not but I'm sure we won't reach that far checking every bet is fair or not.

Let's just put it this way, if we are lucky, then lucky. If not, then just come another day. That's how gambling works in the first place.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 12, 2023, 03:32:50 AM
The main purpose for KYC to decrease money laundering. It has no other purpose than it. Don't expect casino to use your identity. The casino just wanna see people play spending their money as much as possible in the game provided by that casino itself.

Whatever the reason for KYC, I have to agree with you on the part that the casino will not use our identity for something inappropriate especially if we talked about a reputable and popular casino. These casinos are prioritizing all the things they needed to comply as part of being a legitimate site. There is no way these casinos will take advantage of any KYC-related stuff.

Adding to that, the casinos even want more users to welcome on their platform that's why as much as possible they don't want to give their users a hassle way of registering accounts and asking a bunch of identity-related things. But since the verification process is part of the regulation, they have no choice but to follow.

Fortunately, there are still lots of crypto-gambling sites that do not mandate KYC so better enjoy those while it lasts.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling scenario that keeps repeating on you on: August 12, 2023, 03:02:08 AM
These may actually be patterns that don't exist in reality. It's weird but this is kind of normal in gambling or among gamblers. There are so many patterns in gambling that are associated with luck or the lack thereof. There may be coincidences but I don't think there is science behind all this.

While gamblers play regularly in the long run, it's just common for them that to think of a strategy even though there's no connection to it or like you mentioned, a scientific explanation behind all of those. It's that these strategies and patterns are no doubt, effective at some point and I'm living proof of that. Luck-based games will always be luck-based games and I don't even know the reason why there's a pattern that really effective.

So better not too technical about that and just follow those scenarios that bring luck to us.

If these gambling scenarios, strategies, patterns, and many more are effective to us, it's not wrong to use those if our winning percentage here is decent.
439  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 12, 2023, 02:38:38 AM
Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.

It's none of our business anymore if gamblers want to hide their gambling habit or not. There's no sense of showing it intentionally in the first place and it doesn't have to do with being a proud gambler or not. Tell me, what for? If these people want to hide their gambling habit, how's that become a big deal? They have surely reasons why they tend to keep it secret and those reasons might not be valid for us but for them, it's reasonable to do so.

Be it political views, religions, family matters, and so on, only these people knows the real score if they publicize their gambling habit.

The possible reasons why they keep it that way obviously varies with each other. Let's just allow them to behave like that.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: August 12, 2023, 02:14:47 AM
We should pay attention to wagering requirements if we don't want to run into trouble and try not to miss any part so we can withdraw the money. And if the casino encounters suspicion with our account, we can also show or even KYC our account if necessary.

If you read carefully what OP pointed out, it's not about being unattentive to the bonus terms and conditions.

The point here is, the wagering requirement is too much for "normal deposit". It's understandable that bonuses and promotions come up with a high wagering requirement, obviously to prevent abuses, but for normal deposits, it should just be around 1x or 2x the deposit amount. Imagine, if you are a big roller, you need to wager a crazy high turnover for your big deposit amount and you will be stuck at it even if you are in big winnings right now.

We are talking about normal deposits here without any bonuses and promotions involved.

I'm with OP that such requirements for normal deposits are crazy and can't consider a good practice.
