421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 16, 2016, 12:09:52 PM
Currently ethereum is in beartrap mode.   Probably the cheapest it's ever going to be right now.

If the price drop can reduce the incentive to mine, that is good for me. I can mine more. The difficulty is too high.

I think they should reduce the stake size to 100 or lower so that more people can join. This will increase the user base.

The more people own and user Ethereum, the higher the value of Ethereum. More adoption can increase the value more.

nah, adoption has nothing to do with value appreciation. sry.

Adoption means usefulness of the coin. If it is used more, the value will increase. This has happened to Bitcoin.

yea this is going to be as valuable as candycrush or whatever other MMORPG credit tokens, still not interested, sry.

bitcoin has intrinsic value, for all the computational power and electric consumption it requires, not to mention the TRUST in its network.

Honeybadger do the rest, mainstream adoption or not.

Similar to Bitcoin, Ethereum is also supported by the Proof of power at the moment. I will it can be mined for longer.

I think I might buy some if the price drops to about $1 again. But after the recent pump, it might not go that low.
424  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: February 13, 2016, 09:06:33 AM
I think the bitcoin is better for the future.

Paypal already reached a high point on the mountain.

Also the bitcoin has more potential to get bigger.

If Paypal becomes a payment processor of bitcoin like Bitpay or Coinbase, would it be better for bitcoin?
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: February 12, 2016, 08:58:52 AM
I think for the time being, the best coins to buy is Ethereum and its clones. But I do not know how long that will last.
426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: February 07, 2016, 09:44:56 AM
The concept of cryptocoin is far better than all money transfer system like Paypal, Moneygram, etc.

Yes it is, money transfers nowadays charge more so its better to use bitcoin if you are knowledgeable in using bitcoin, and paypal sometimes sucks.. Smiley

The money transfers nowadays charge more because these systems have to comply regulatory rules. When bitcoin is regulated, it will have costs.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: February 04, 2016, 10:54:41 AM
Right now alts are very risky for investing!
You can wait long time for pump, but year before was so different situation.
We had a daily pumps and dumps. That was great time for trades!

but i think right now is the best time for starting trading altcoins. the altcoin market has been very interesting and active lately that you can not pass easily.

The Boolberry (BBR) also rise today. The volume is very big. Does anybody know the reason of the dramatic rise?
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: February 01, 2016, 10:48:03 AM
Bitcoin is better, its future

Bitcoin is a currency as well as a payment system. Paypal is just a payment processor. It will have to integrate bitcoin in the future.
429  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: January 29, 2016, 12:35:43 PM
Customers would use bitcoin because easy to use and you can send money to your friend in other country only less than 1-2 hour.
I do not think it takes 1-2 hours
maybe even just a few minutes, just a confirmation transaction is quite a long time. I think it does not matter

If I am a retailer, I would need at least one confirmation. Or I have to use a program to make sure that address has more than the value I charge.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold my alts, all in BTC on: January 26, 2016, 12:32:27 PM
What about eterium? The price is rising nowadays.

I think it was better to buy Ethereum a few months ago. The price has risen 3 times since 3 months ago. That is quite a big pump.
431  Economy / Auctions / Re: wts HeroMember 0.15 on: January 23, 2016, 02:03:58 PM
I think there are too Newbie here for pumping price

When auction end?

Newbies have more incentive to buy accounts. But it is difficult to know if they have the funds to do that.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: January 23, 2016, 01:48:29 PM
There are so many alt coins out there. The only coin that you should invest now is bitcoin as it has a lot of investors making it unlikely to die as opposed to these alt coins. Although they present a better feature, the billionaires are already heavily invested in bitcoin.

The  other coin to invest is Ethereum. The price has risen a lot recently. Anybody know the reason?
433  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: January 22, 2016, 04:53:29 PM
-The fees is not a must part of BTC, you can make a transaction with no fees but would take ages to confirm, The most useful advantage would be the convenience in term of privacy IMO (Things you wouldn't want in your CC record) and in industries with some different opinions about it (Gambling etc...).

With bitcoin, you have the freedom to pay certain parties. With credit card or bank transfer, you cannot do that.
434  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: January 20, 2016, 04:44:02 PM
Well , because bitcoin has the advantage of low transaction fee , simple . easy to use , fast pace , just bring your mobile phone , you can make transactions

Transaction fee is less than $0.1 on average. if the block size remain at 1MB, the transaction will be much higher.
435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: January 15, 2016, 08:41:28 PM
Bitcoin is far far far better than paypal because of paypals nonsense fees.

If you want charge back and other kinds of protection, you need to pay the fees.

those protect the buyers not the seller, so it's pointless to pay for something not complete, you can protect both with bitcoin also, with a trusted escrow

paypal is just a trusted escrow, nothing else

Paypal protects the seller.

https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full#11

When I sold my headphone amp, to enable this protection, I had to enter the USPS tracking info.

How can the paypal know that you send the right stuff to the buyer? The UPS tracking info just proves you send something.

437  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-11] Bitcoin Surges While Stock Market Sees Worst First Week Ever on: January 11, 2016, 07:33:36 PM
There is no bitcoin surge. The price just rose 10% for the last month. It is normal price fluctuation.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: January 11, 2016, 05:57:44 PM
Ethereum

Ethereum is being developed actively. The main problem was that the development cost too much money.
439  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: January 09, 2016, 07:41:42 PM
I think Bitcoin's having many features which encourage many users to use it as payment method online, especially it's lowest fee comparing with fiat

the credit/debit cards has NO fees for online and offline purchases and also they are instant. you don't have to wait 15-20 min for a transaction confirmation.

Credit card companies do not charge you the fee directly, but they charge the seller. You pay the fee eventually.
440  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: January 08, 2016, 08:27:22 PM
Both are good, both are for online transaction, paypal has chargeback and bitcoin doesnt.
For some reason paypal is better (for buyer) and sometimes bitcoin is great i use both of them

But bitcoin and paypal are not same. Bitcoin is far better than paypal. If we use paypal it has huge amount transaction fees than bitcoin. If wanna compare paypal means We can compare with Western union. Transactions are open and transparent in bitcoin Not like transaction medium.

It depends because using sometimes the paypal it does not charge fees.
Sometimes it charge to the merchant side sometimes on both ways, but is good in this case because of small fees.

When I sell on Ebay, Paypal charges me a lot. When I send to friends, there is no charge at all.
