421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: May 31, 2023, 02:34:27 PM
I think there have been a lot of people by now who came up with the magical recipe that turns others allegedly into winners. Usually it is about selling products on a website or getting people to play on certain websites because the article suggests that this strategy works with a casino. Eventually if you gamble long enough you are usually ending up with a loss. The best example is doubling your position when you lost, trying to make up for the round before that. In roulette that is done often by people because they think it is impossible for one color to not show 20 times in a row or something like that. But it turns out that even that strategy is a losing strategy in any case if you play long enough. If there was a legal, guaranteed winning strategy, wouldn't most casinos be broke by now? If I as a casino provider knew a winning strategy, I could go myself to other casinos and exploit it.

A logical fact with your last question, it's true if there's a real winning strategy we might see lots of casinos that's already broke now.

But the fact that we continue to see more and more gambling business to open up, meaning to say that
there's many losing gambler than those who manage to gain something from the house.

I like that argument that the winning chance playing in the long-term might lead you to lose your money
and that's mostly the case.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 30, 2023, 11:04:20 PM
Heat pull-off to kick-out Celtics and reach NBA finals, while Denver is probably most happier with this, and they are pretty close to first title
didn't even considered possibility for Heat to win game 7, but they won it with style, and Celtics didn't show anything, pity they won three in a row, and made things interesting, while not being able to make game 7 interesting to watch

onwards to finals, could be a sweep, but no more than 6 matches, IMO, Denver to title

It could be a tough match-up for the Denver, Bam vs Jokic will be the one that I want to see. And then we have the trio of undrafted players in Caleb Martin, Mas Struss and Gabe Vincent maybe playing Jamay Murray.

I don't see a sweep though, Denver might win their first NBA title, but it might be 4-2.

And I think majority see Denver winning?

Statistically wise, I can agree that Denver has the upper hands here.

But like you, I also consider the way Heat is playing. They are underrated but they keep impressing the fans and also those critics
who don't believe that they can make it up to this point.

Much be more entertaining if they can push a do-or-die game 7 but with the way the matchup is concern Nuggets got the height
speed and talents that they can really abuse to dominate the series. Just my personal take on this NBA finals.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: May 30, 2023, 07:55:10 PM
that's why it's essential to have some diversification, heck even the biggest investment company are all doing some diversification so there's no reason why a newbie didn't follow such advice and diversify their investment to avoid imminent losses like some special case for example luna, had everyone diversified their investment properly they wouldn't go bankrupt.
That the reason behind i suggested such way to make investment. I think this diversification can makes your investment safer than any others strategy. Besides thus way, anyone can fix a percentage of his money to invest with hidden gem or can try to pick up some coins that could give him good benefit with minimum risk along with others major investment.

Having such kind of investment might give you opportunities to pick good projects to support.

Doing good research and placing portions of your capital to a different asset may bring something decent and to allow you
not to burn all your investment if you failed picking your asset.

I mean, if you have multiple investment and you did not put everything in a single project, the chance of recovering or making decent
profits are possible to achieve.
424  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: May 30, 2023, 07:23:27 PM
We must be forced to survive to survive, yes that's because times are getting harder. I don't mean to blame the times, but that's what happened. When we cannot adjust to circumstances, we will be far behind. Moreover, this is about money which is one of the important factors in life. The increase in all prices is not accompanied by a balanced income, in the end we have to find another side to be able to get additional income.
It's not easy to survive in the midst of the hustle and bustle of life, I feel at a time like this if we are not mentally strong enough to go through all this then our psychology will be even worse.
This is repeated during times of crisis, but you will be better able to get through them if you have savings, or even better if you have assets that can generate passive income. In times like these, it is very easy to be left without your usual source of income, and it will be even more difficult if your only source of income is your job. Difficult times need to be taken care of when everything is good, it is much more difficult to think about this during a crisis.
The savings fund should have been thought of earlier when we are experiencing a crisis, it will be a little helped by having savings, so even with income from work it won't make you more complicated, but we have to think that side income is also important to cover other needs.

We often blamed the pandemic in the past but now we are free, meaning the economy has started to recover again. We just have to think for ourselves what it would be like when there were no restrictions, we could do even more passive work, in the sense that we had to be able to look for opportunities to get out of this difficult zone because I feel that we are always comfortable with our current job, only covering our needs, but when times are hard, you will find it difficult and stuck in the old atmosphere again.

We need to extend our capabilities if there's an open opportunities to find a side job.

Savings is really important, if ever you find additional source of income you need to think ahead and make sure to focus
in saving portions of your income.

It helps a lot to finance your investment or your future own business, but for now, having good portions of savings will
help to improve your life and not to be worry that much if another pandemic will take place.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 29, 2023, 07:36:43 PM
And Fulton - he's dominated this division for some time. Is Inoue up to the task of challenging his rule? We'll have to keep our eyes glued to the action to know. That's part of the buzz of the sport, isn't it?!

It was his time, but now it's Inoue's time. I may sound optimistic, but I don't see Fulton's skills being able to match up with Inoue's. I hope he won't regret changing his decision of not moving up to face Inoue. However, I have a feeling that Inoue will dominate him, and Fulton won't be able to withstand Inoue's powerful punches. Please note that I mean no disrespect to Fulton, but that's how I envision the fight unfolding.

I see as a fan and the basis from the previous fight of both fighters, Inoue's winning chance is higher than Fulton.

The decision though to stay in this current weight is really appreciable from the fans,
it gives Inoue a chance to strip it under his belt and earn the respect from this new division
but also on the other hand, if Fulton manages to upset Inoue, it will add more respect to
him and a good hypes for his career, more on the money side once he decided to move up
carrying the image that he beat the hot and sensation Inoue.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 29, 2023, 12:23:11 PM
Game 7 later, baby. Miami Heat is at 3.60 to win the game, Boston Celtics is at 1.31 to win the game at home. I think I like an upset to happen, I am placing my bet for the Miami Heat. A high risk bet because they are short-handed with players being injured or cannot play the entire game due to their minute's restrictions.
But I have seen Butler woke up again in Game 6 and tried to be the leader, I wish to see that type of aggressiveness again and show that he could really put the Heat on his shoulder and win the ECF. Give your all, all lose it all. This will be an entertaining match.

High risk odd that will give you decent profits when fate takes place and destiny brings that win for Miami.

Both teams are expected to hype their individual games, especially the core leaders of each team. They need to perform as there's no
tomorrow that they can bounce back anymore.

Miami's odd will be for those who love taking a risk for the huge returned when luck permits, a matter of how you believe
and how you trust whatever team you will place your bet here.
427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just how bad is the bear demand right now on: May 28, 2023, 10:11:05 PM
Just how bad is the bear market right currently?

Is the Current Bitcoin Bear Market That Bad?
A beginner in the crypto industry can claim that the current bitcoin market is bad because he has observed how the price of bitcoin has fluctuated between highs and lows without going above a particular price point between $26k and $28k within some days or weeks. To them, that's how they see and understand the volatility of the crypto market. However, others who are familiar with the crypto market would argue that it is currently in a correcting phase and the DCA approach will be perfectly acceptable to use at this time or even start accumulating more bitcoin at a low price

Exactly, those who have a better experienced with how the market move will take this as an opportunity.

While for newcomer who only looking for quick benefits can conclude that the market is in a bad shape, there are pressures that may
really affect newbies to continue holding their assets.

But for people who are trusting the system, taking this current value as accumulating period can give them benefits in the long run
still good for investors and traders who understand the current situation.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 28, 2023, 10:45:45 AM

congrats to White for anticipation in last attack, from delivering the ball to shooter to jump and shot with a buzzer

White is underrated, but he had a clean game and emerged as the winner. However, I've seen a lot of videos circulating online suggesting that the game was rigged. According to these videos, when Butler was fouled, the time left should have been 2.7 seconds. However, the Celtics were given 3 seconds, so if it had been 2.7 seconds, the Heat would have won the game, as White was able to tip the ball with only 0.2 seconds left in the game.

What are your opinions about that issue?

We really can't take that opinion and speculation away, as that can create a big impact on the possible outcome.

But it had happened and official gives Boston that time, enough to tip the follow up and snatch the game away from Miami. It's not
the outcome for Miami fans and for those who bet for Miami to win the game/series as it should be done now if the clock
adjustments didn't favor Boston. It's tough to prove that unless there's investigation that will happen on this matter.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 28, 2023, 10:32:03 AM
I would say that Celtics got lucky on this one, they are on the brink of being eliminated as the Heat made a massive comeback and then Marcus Smart missed that shot.

But who wouldn't think that the ball falls on the hand of White at the right time and was able to put it back. Very sad lost for the Heat and now they are going to go on a hostile Boston Garden and I now I'm thinking that the Celtics could be on the verge of making a history as the first team to make a comeback from 0-3 deficit. And unfortunately for us who bet on the Heat at ML when we thought of cashing it out already.
It was a dramatic end as that buzzer beater follow up is really something that you can't imagine after that long shot from smart.

I was under the impression that Heat will secure the rebound and make sure to tap it away from any Boston players.
or secure and get that offensive rebound to win the game, but Boston is really lucky as they manage to have that
chance to follow up the ball and win the game. Game 7 now for these series anyone can win and take the ECF title
a do-or-die finale.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: May 28, 2023, 07:21:04 AM
yeah that really helps. With additional work, I can save and invest more confidently because I have free money that I save. On the other hand, I still have money for my daily needs. we really need additional work if it is to make us want to develop financially so that we become people who have far more financial freedom than continuing to be employees.
if you have free time of course that's great but if the main job takes a lot of time and already has enough income I think a side job is not needed anymore.
side jobs are only needed by people who have a lot of free time and lack of money.
our body also needs rest so that must also be considered, not only because of money everything has to be chased.
There will always be people whose salary is not enough for them not only to support the family but also to pay the bills and in most cases freelancing is the key to achieve that, even if it means they almost have no free time and almost their whole day is consumed by work. Nowadays due to expensive goods and other necessities, it is also very optimal to find extra income, but the problem is nowadays too due to high supply of freelancers and lack of demand, the competition of applying to decent paying ones are very high, that is mostly you can see in most cases several freelancers are flocking to apply on that said position.

The competition is really tight, and you need to do extra effort to win a client.

Like what you mentioned, there are many reasons why individual needs to find extra side job, relying on day job salary will not
be enough to feed yourself, plus if you have responsibilities like if you have family and kids that need to send to school, not just
the daily food but those extra expenses that needed to address, having extra side job can give you some breathing to solve those
concerns.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba Inu still worth it? on: May 27, 2023, 04:19:13 PM
If you are not a fan of risking your investment, better not to invest in this kind of project.

I see your point and that's true. Investors are moving away from Shiba as they are seeing no progress in market value, though
there are still some who continue believing that there's still chance and still buying and holding.

Trusting meme projects is more on risking your investment and trying to be lucky and take some chunks of profits when
a good pump back happens.

Forget Shiba Inu. The new PEPE "meme" coin is where the money is. Many foolish investors are buying this coin like crazy, effectively "pumping" its price all the way to the moon. It's a "meme" coin like SHIBA, so I don't get what the hype is all about. This tells you "meme" coins are nothing more than "pumps and dumps" meant to be a playground for whales to make a lot of money in an instant. But at the end of the day, they're just worthless coins with no substance behind them.

As you've said before, only those willing to risk their investment will add SHIBA or any other "meme" coin to their portfolio. The rewards are high, but the risk is also higher. I'd stick around with Bitcoin because it holds a very promising future. Who knows if SHIBA becomes history someday? Just my thoughts Grin

Yeah right, it's your money, so it's you who will decide just get some ideas and try to work with how you take this information.

Mem coins like Shiba, Doge and the new hot Pepe are assets that simply for risk takers, traders who can
throw spare money for the chance of making something decent, a quick ride which you know that the chance
of losing, your investment is higher than making profits.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 27, 2023, 06:51:26 AM
My, oh my! The Inoue fan club seems to be in session! No denying the man's an absolute beast, his punches are like lightning strikes - they're fast, furious and seldom miss! But, let me play the devil's advocate here, shouldn't we be asking ourselves - how will he fare in the 122s? He might be king of the 118s, but this new weight class could be a different beast altogether!

Do we remember Fulton? The man who faced Figueroa's storm and came out on top? If that's not grit, I don't know what is! I'm not saying Inoue isn't good, just that it might not be a cakewalk. And that, my friends, is why I love this sport! It's not just about who throws the hardest punch, but who stands up to them!

You can expect that there are a lot of Inoue fans here because he is a very popular boxer. I'm not underestimating Fulton, though. However, I believe he hasn't faced a boxer with the same power as Inoue. The boxers he has faced and beaten are not top pound-for-pound fighters, so Fulton might be surprised if he underestimates Inoue's skills.

Both boxers will be each other's acid test, not because we are underestimating either one of them but because we saw how these boxers perform against their own opponent respectively. It will be a challenge for both camp as they are undefeated but I reckon that the pressure are mostly Inoue because aside from this is his first fight at super-bantam, this will determine if he will remain undefeated or not while Fulton is not after about the outcome as he will jump in the next weight class regardless of the outcome.

Just in my own opinion, Fulton is also pressured as for sure he wanted to keep his no loss standing.

But we will witness who's more hunger between the two when they already showing their skills, both will test each other,
and knowing both fighters, they are not afraid to take the challenge.

I like to see more from Fulton if how he will try to counter whatever Inoue will throw on him. One mistake may cause him
to fall down as fans will expect to see Inoue's solid combination to bring him the win.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 27, 2023, 06:06:11 AM
My opinion is they will go to Game 7 because the Boston Celtics have been playing really well the last two games.
They will most likely continue this winning streak tomorrow as well.
That's true, they are playing far from what they showed in the first three games but adjustments will happen and this time the Miami Heat will have the support of their home crowd which I bet will add more energy for them to finish the series. I am with the Miami Heat on this one, all they need is that better defense that they showcased before which I think is lacking in their last 2 previous games. It's not that hard, lots of openings that are being taken advantage of by the Boston Celtics.
Coach Spo must still have something up his sleeve, and he should use Highsmith in exchange for Max Struss if ever Gabe Vincent will be able to play. Struss is on and off and I think Duncan Robinson had been contributing more than him.

My prediction is the Miami Heat will end this at home in a close game.

They need to find ways to stop those open shots. Rotates on the defensive are very important to win this game.

With the way Tatum is moving, he's really creating space to get that double team and throw the ball out with a good open man
so better to adjust and not to allow the double just focus on the rotation.

I think coach Spo will highlight that and will try to fill that defense and work more to counter Boston, playing at home
will boost them up. I also believe that they will try everything not to allow Boston to snatch this series from them.
434  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: May 26, 2023, 04:58:08 PM
If you don't need much then you shouldn't take a loan at all.  Because of this debt, good relations with people become distant relations. The person you borrow from today may give you a loan, but when you fail to repay the loan on time, you will come across as very small-minded and will not help you when you are in trouble later. And if your financial condition is worse then he will force you to repay the loan. At that moment you will realize how bad debt is. So avoid taking loans as much as possible.
The only reason for borrowing money is either for business or something that is very productive that is worth borrowing, and if one should  think of to borrow money it should be the amount that can be paid back in a period of time that is okay with the lender. Borrowing money for non productive things that can't generate money is a bad habit. People who borrow money for no good reason have a poor financial life , which they find it so difficult to have savings. Borrowing money should only be for business that can bring high profits that can be able to pay back the money borrowed.

Though it's logical but we know that there are many people out there who borrow money to fill their material needs.

In some cases, they borrow because of emergency and from that loan amount they've started having a hard time budgeting
to pay for it, an additional burden that needed to pay back, as it will generate more interest.

But in a wise side of loaning money/borrowing money, if the intention is to invest or to establish a business, chances
that you can cover the interest and you can pay for the actual loan after you successfully established your business.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 26, 2023, 04:21:01 PM
Boston is now really back, two wins in a row, and both in a easy way
expected Miami to go Florida NHL route, sweep from position 8, but they are looking exhausted at the moment

Boston will obviously make finals with Denver more interesting, Miami would hardly get any win if they enter big finals
looking forward to next match, are we going to game 7, and big turnover

Yep! Celtics are indeed back! But will they manage to win the next game of the series ? that is the big question. Because no team has had a comeback from 3-0 in NBA history and I don't think Boston will be the one to break it and most likely series will go 4-2.

I agree with you that Celtics vs Denver will be a better final but Heat has proved this playoffs that they are indeed a good team that deserves to play the finals.
Celtics is not out yet, they are able to win 2 games and I think game 6 will also be a big win for them. Celtics might be the first team to create new history, let's just find out.

Heat proves a lot already from being a number 8 team going into the finals if they want to advance they should act better in game 6. Hard to choose which team will win honestly .

I don't know what's really going on as we all know that there are still have a possibility that the Boston Celtics will win in their next game and we all know how they played they are very good in both offense and defense they have the Momentum and also they have a good play and that's the reason why they will win the game 5 and in game 6 if Miami still don't beat the celtics then there's a chance that Boston can make a noise and nig comeback in the history of basketball.

I'm not going to remove that possibility as they manage to win a back-to-back game against Miami.

If they will snatch another game inside Miami's home court, it will be possible that they can win on their do-or-die
game 7, everything is possible and if Boston will take this one it will be a new written history that they'll going to make
as no one from a 3-0 deficit manage to come back and win the series.

Here are the results for today's game

Phoenix Mercury VS Minnesota Lynx SCORE 90 - 81 - WIN

Just as I thought that Phoenix Mercury had done it judging from their previous performance and the previous performance of the Minnesota Lynx the Mercury offense is really remarkable from their previous games, and this time Diana Taurasi has made some great performance for the team along with Brittney Griner, Moriah Jefferson, and Sophie Cunningham both got 13 points, Alecia Sutton got 14 points, Brittney Griner got 19 points, Diana Taurasi got 23 points,

Los Angeles Sparks VS Las Vegas Aces SCORE 85 - 94 - WIN

The Los Angeles Sparks were great at the start of the game until the Las Vegas Aces got a great chance to turn the table in the 2nd half surely this is a formidable team to mess with Candace Parker got 10 points, Chelsea Gray got 16 points, A'ja Wilson has a double-double of 13 rebounds and 19 points while Jackie Young got 30 points winning this game,

Nice catch! Didn't bet as I don't have spare focusing with NBA, but luck did not back me up.

I'll be going to check those available games and see if I have some spare to throw. You are really good
with analysing and picking the games OP, keep sharing your pick as readers can use it as basis a good
timing for those who are looking for some alternative when looking for sports to place bets.
437  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: May 25, 2023, 12:54:45 PM
Maybe for others it improves financial stability, but for me it depends on the strategy that the individual does, for example you are working hard, but you neglect your own health and you are also stressed, I think it does not help financial stability.
I can only say that it is stable if the system we are working on is right, the type of you are working smart with the right system unlike when you are working hard but your not working smart.

It counts for me as well. If you are doing an extra side job but you are not caring about your health, eventually it will fire back and it might cause you to spend more on your hospitalizations or medications.

But like what you said, if you are good at balancing your system and you can manage to save up and not to
overspend then it will bring good impact to your finances.

Eventually you will save up, and that savings can be used for business or investment that will give
you a chance to change your lifestyle once you succeed.
438  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: May 25, 2023, 08:45:28 AM
Actually there's nothing wrong in borrowing money it depends in the person how they take of it for example you borrow money because you want to put those as your finance into your business or any asset that has a good return so that asset makes the money into you to make more that could pay your debt. But if you are a person borrow money and you keep spending for your wants only that's the problem its not about the Borrowing it's about the person who borrow.

The intention or reason why you barrow that matter, I see your point and that's valid.

If you use that money for investment or business and you are expecting good potential returns, then there's nothing wrong with loaning
money, as you are trying to grow your financial capabilities but you are lack in financial aspect, and that second argument, it's true that
using that loan money just to please your material desire, for sure that will going to be a problem in the later part.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 25, 2023, 07:56:25 AM
Now, it's the Heat and Celtics, they need to win a 4 straight to win the championship. It's a bit impossible but we can't predict the time they might still win, and it will become history if it happens.

Nope, the Celtics only need to win three straight games because they have already won one game. It's not impossible, though based on the record, no team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit. It would be the Celtics who would be the first to do so, but I doubt this series will reach Game 7.
With how the Celtics played in Game 4, I don't know if it's just me, but there's a bit of a chance that they can make history.

Man, I am thinking the same. I'm not sure but it's just a matter of a good momentum for Celtics to pull this one off. I was even thinking, what if both conference will make their own history. As for the Nuggets this has been a history for them making to the finals for the first time in their franchise history. Now, what if Boston could pull this one off and make their own history coming back from a 0-3 deficit? I mean, both the Heat and Celtics deserved to be in the finals though. However, I don't really like how Jimmy and co has so much confidence moving forward from a game 4 loss like they've already written off the Celtics. I don't know if he really means it or he's just provoking the Celtics, but job's ain't done until it's officially done. If Celtics win another one at home, pretty sure they'll start to worry by then.

Anything can happen as per that new records it would be nice to see another one for the franchise,

Maybe if they can win this one at home, there's a big pressure for Miami since 3-2 is not by far anymore and a single mistake
can pull them down and give a chance for Boston to snatch the final to them.

Let see if how both teams will adjust now both can add new stories in the history of their franchise exciting to know who's going
to move forward and celebrate for the East side.

if in my opinion shiba inu is never worth it, because shiba inu goes up just because when meme coin is hype and after that I believe all meme coin are no longer worthy of investment especially for the long term investment, therefore than you invest in shiba inu, then I prefer you to invest in ETH, BNB, Matic or XRP.
We are converting more assets to popular coins than meme coins, shiba coins have fallen far from their highs due to market effects but meme coins are not guaranteed to recover to the market to increase again, so that point is very worrying about meme coins because investment interest will decrease at any time, because meme coin investors will recover assets on top coins when the market is experiencing a high correction

If you are not a fan of risking your investment, better not to invest in this kind of project.

I see your point and that's true. Investors are moving away from Shiba as they are seeing no progress in market value, though
there are still some who continue believing that there's still chance and still buying and holding.
