421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Dead Without China? on: September 30, 2017, 07:40:30 PM
I thought, the exit of china will have a big impact to the price. And it was the case, but when I'm looking on the price now, it looks very promising. So I'm glad, the price is raising again and it seems, that china don't have a large influence.

OP is not asking what effect it would have on the price. They are asking if Bitcoin will be dead without China.

In my opinion it definitely will not be. China is a single country and Bitcoin is a global technology.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - Can it boost or break a countries economy? on: September 30, 2017, 01:09:42 AM
I think if Venezuela introduced Bitcoin as their new currency and invest a lot into it then in 20 years they would be a very, very rich nation!
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile phones and the Internet are changing the banking on: September 30, 2017, 01:07:31 AM
Yeah man I cannot tell you how many times I have logged into mobile banking on my phone and it has been a life saver for me many times. Tongue
424  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: September 30, 2017, 01:03:05 AM
Can we totally eliminate all of the banks in the world? No way. There are millions of bank branches and hundreds of banks and to think they would all get eliminated is hilarious. There will always be banks, and I think at some point there will be crypto-like banks which have extreme security to keep your coins safe, and maybe you could only retrieve them in person like current fiat banks.
425  Economy / Economics / Re: tax on: September 30, 2017, 01:01:47 AM
Individual countries are going to need to figure out some way to tax cryptocurrencies otherwise they are going to see huge declines in income each year going forward. It is that simple.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Is an economy without physical money safe for the poorest? on: September 30, 2017, 01:00:57 AM
I think it is much, much safer to have an economy without physical money because there are less muggings. The point of mugging someone is you take/steal their physical money, but if there is not any then muggings would not happen. Tongue
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't trust anyone who tells you how much Bitcoin is worth on: September 30, 2017, 01:00:08 AM
Why not? All you need to do is go to any site like an exchange or preev.com and can see how much Bitcoin is worth.
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Amount of BTC for trading on: September 27, 2017, 11:43:32 PM
Hey there!
I would like to ask you what you concider a good amount of bitcoins for daily short term speculations. How do you think what is the good number for beginers / advanced / experienced traders? Or maybe it if better not to short and just buy some of any good alts and wai for a pump (like some days or weeks)?

Never invest more than you can afford to lose. That is rule #1 when it comes to trading.

Beginner: depending on your bankroll I would not start with more than 1 BTC
Advanced: 1-10 BTC depending on your bankroll
Experienced: Unlimited...
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: September 26, 2017, 02:36:46 AM
I See topics about banning and I want to ask.

Is botcoin really that bad? To banned by other countries?
Do the other government in other countries see something bad?
Can bitcoin be used to locate us?and see what we are doing? In short a Spyware.

Botcoin? It is not Botcoin it is bitcoin please, you should always try to at least proofread your sentences/paragraphs/spellings before posting. Anyway, as for your question Bitcoin is banned by other Country's Government is because of first: Threat, Government somehow sees Bitcoin as a threat to their currency. Second: a medium for: Terrorism, bitcoin's secure transaction could be away for transferring funds from one another, Bitcoin also can be a medium for money laundering. That's why some Government of other countries bans it for this reason while some other choose to regulate it rather than banning it.

Before you go and try to criticize other's spelling and grammar errors, you might want to ask yourself the question of do you speak fluent English yourself? Coming from a fluent English speaker, it is quite clear that you do not.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: September 26, 2017, 02:09:45 AM
Online wallets are definitely not where you want to store Bitcoin. Your best bet is using paper wallets generated and printed offline.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Die Because of China? on: September 26, 2017, 02:08:51 AM
Bitcoin will survive even if both China and the USA ban it. That won't stop people from using it, and realistically the government can't do much about it aside from shutting down the internet.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: September 26, 2017, 02:08:11 AM
It could be. Look at what happened to MySpace. It was the king of social media before Facebook ever existed and millions used it. Now it is nothing.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who owns the technology, owns the world on: September 23, 2017, 11:15:13 PM
I watched an interview wit the founder of Alibaba who said that in the coming decades, data would become more valuable than anything else. The person/organization with the most data would be the most powerful in the world.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new bitcoin documentary! on: September 22, 2017, 11:16:05 PM
Bitcoin documentaries of today will be nothing compared to the movie that comes out in 10-20 years including all of the drama so far in this first decade alone. Just think about what happened with BTC-e... that alone could be a movie. hahaha
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Tops $4.5 Billion In Private Funding on: September 22, 2017, 11:13:16 PM
Google invested $40,000,000 into blockchain.info a couple of months back.

The fact such high profile companies are getting on board with cryptocurrencies really goes to show how legit Bitcoin is. Not to mention Blockchain.info is a legit company as are many others in the field. Of course there are scams, but nothing we can do about it at the moment. This is good new through-and-through.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Are some private keys safer than others? on: September 22, 2017, 09:17:31 PM
Quote
Of course small keys aren't safe. There are no checks for key nor for the seed words. Only important thing is that it was randomly generated.
If it was, then it would be pointless to check if it some small key due to the huge possible range of numbers it could be. If there was any realistic chance for a key to be small, then random number generator is not doing a good job in the first place and that would be the actual problem to solve.

If it is truly random, then your randomly generated private key could be 1 just as probably as anything else. I prefer to check that my randomly generated key is NOT very small  or close to the biggest possible number.

I don't see how any standard private key could get hacked in today's world.

I mean, in the future when quantum computing comes around we will definitely need to take that into consideration, but in the meanwhile there is not much to worry about if you use the standard private keys.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beaware North Korean Hackers are targeting exchanges! on: September 22, 2017, 09:14:36 PM
North Korea is much smarter than most North Americans are led to believe by our governments. The reality is they are a highly technical country with Nuclear weapons and top-notch hacking skills. We must take them seriously!
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Bitcoins for Tokens on: September 22, 2017, 09:11:23 PM
Where can I trade some of my Bitcoins for Tokens post-ICO? Which exchange(s)?

Well, it's very easy. Just find the token you wanna buy/trade, see which exchanges listed it and deposit Bitcoin on that exchange. If the token is not tradeable on exchanges yet, you may even try on this forum. Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

Some tokens are not available on exchanges though. That is the problem.

There should be an exchange (actually one coming soon called altcoinexchange) that only deals wit altcoins and tokens and lists every single one. That would be great.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When sell ETH for BTC? on: September 22, 2017, 09:07:47 PM
If you have ETH, I wouldn't be selling for BTC anytime soon.

I predict ETH will continue rising faster than BTC as it is new and innovative, and a legit crypto with strong backing from reputable companies such as Microsoft.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will happen if all bitcoin already mined ? on: September 22, 2017, 09:06:52 PM
There are only 21 million total bitcoins that can be mined, what will happen if all bitcoin is already mined?
once all 21 million have been mained, there will never be any new bitcoins (unless a change to the protocol is made to increase the supply).
And since the last coin will be mined about 2140, who the F cares 'what will happen'? You planning on being around then are ya? Wink

Most coins have already been mined though. There are already like 16 million in existence. Now we need to make Bitcoin more spendable, because at the moment it still can't be used to buy most things.
