half a billion dollars of market cap, when btc is surging? you think? 2 points, its not 100% if btc will surge immidiatly, second if it surges, when it stops lets say at 1000, eventually top coins with good devs will catch up. $5 - not a chance, unless there's some manipulation of supply at the beginning (a la Lisk). |

Hello, yes this is correct only on Openledger, just like any future prelaunch ICO's will most probably only be traded on OpenLedger. That is in so many ways why this project is so unique. your second question I believe is already answered in second paragraph from the top: This means that all holders who have already purchased the ICOO tokens as well as anyone ordering from now on will be able to sell, buy, and trade the ICOO on OpenLedger in the market they prefer. it's already very subscribed and with little delay between closing and trading. where the added buy pressure and volume going to be coming from? The DAO did nothing.

bonuses being issued which increases supply side, and more weak hands departing (which is desirable). wait for the Berlin conference tomorrow to work through the media channels to see how it influences price. selling today would be a mistake. The DAO is populated by a significant number of investment firms (herding together). they are not weak hands. |

Lisk is an attempt at market disruption. if it works (i.e. app developers see its potential to increase their profits) it will be big.

Anyway, what do you expect will be the market cap once market will be opened? My prevision is to see a market cap similar to the Lisk's one.

not convinced it will. Lisk launched many weeks after the ICO ended and bonuses were issued after trading started. WAVES gathered a huge amount in funding (more than LISK), made a partnership with mycelium and sascha-s previous assets are traded on Polo. I don't see how it won't. Of course it will, anyone with a brain knows they want a slice of the cake. so buy a slice of the cake by tomorrow. |

I'm not sure if it would help though. but having them available to trade during the trading starts gives a better picture when trade volume is presented right there and then. i guess it comes down to what each holder of Waves wants to achieve on day one of trading. i imagine that the short term speculators would want a restricted supply side to force the price up. i may buy before the ICO closes, but i may wait until after launch. it feels like the price could go either way. Lisk trading performance was easier to predict for the reasons i mentioned. good luck. |

I don't see how it won't. all true. i got the sense that the long delay between Lisk closing and then launching built up a significant amount of additional buy pressure that was then released when Polo went live. the volume of trading in the first 48 hours was very impressive. as bonus Waves are being distributed before trading begins i would be concerned that this additional supply side volume hitting the exchanges on day one might adversely impact the price in the short term. i'm thinking that it *might* be worth risking that the opening day of trading may see a price sub the ICO. this thread is not making the absurd "10x" claims of The DAO thread - sanity prevailing. |

i await to be pleasantly surprised, but this experiment in crowd investing has so much potential to become a complete disaster - The DAO and 'only invest what you can afford to lose' were made for each other.
