421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another billionaire just invested in bitcoin on: November 20, 2020, 06:01:48 AM
It feels great.

Not because the price is continuously increasing but because of the people that are slowly adapting or investing in it. And it is not just that, people will continue to ride this wave since they are seeing more and more popular people are investing in it. If this is the case it might reach another ATH this year, but still, I doubt that it will be an ATH this year.
422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats to everyone for reaching $20k again. on: November 20, 2020, 05:08:55 AM
It is a great year for Bitcoin.

Despite all of what happened, Cryptocurrencies mainly Bitcoin made us positive as people turned here investing more money making the price where it is right now. I guess this advanced greeting is for the next year since I think that the price will not reach the new ATH or $20K this year. It may stay at this price going back and forth but still, I think it will not be reaching ATH.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: November 20, 2020, 04:15:55 AM
In the process of trying to be a future whales you could lost everything, trust me this got me no where and I realized that I've lost tons of money because I was never contented, be smart and always take advantage of any project that brings you profit, do not stare at your wallet and say 'im gonna be rich in 3 years later' this is 1% out of 100% chance that it's ever going to happen, remember, been rich isn't the most important part of our lives but living a good life is.

What is wrong with aiming higher?

Don't take it as a mistake, greediness, and having a high goal is different. Also, usually, these investors are not really pushing themselves to earn a lot of money, some of them are just taking and maximizing the profit they can get and forcing them to earn more. They are careful, wary, and at the same time wanting to earn more, but for me not to become rich but to become successful.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPals Bitcoin is a scam on: November 20, 2020, 01:46:29 AM
Maybe we can not take the decision to call Paypal a scam. We need to wait a bit more. Let's see what feature Paypal will bring in the near future. Though I am not going to use Paypal for using Bitcoin. I prefer a noncustodial Wallet, not Paypal.

Paypal is not a scam.

We all know that. What the OP is emphasizing is that the Bitcoins, well, our Bitcoins in Paypal is not ours since they don't issue a private seed, proof that the Bitcoin in their wallet is yours. They can freeze it, they can ban you and just let your Bitcoins not be accessible by you, that is why people don't prefer using these kinds of wallets.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 20, 2020, 12:43:06 AM
Is that illegal?

As far as I know, it is illegal.

Back in the day, there are just these people giving these tickets that are not really registered in the government to be doing that. When the local government take a tip about that, they talk to that guy and imprisoned him. After that, it all stops. We do the lotteries in these booths in the town to bet which is usually the EZ 2, Swertres lotto and etc.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 19, 2020, 10:42:48 AM
First-Level-of-Lose in-Financial-Investment advice: Lose amount of money that you can afford to lose and you are happy parting ways with. A lot of gamblers fail to abide to this golden rule.

People should really stop gambling if they can't afford it.

I don't know where they are getting this confidence that they could still increase their money despite the fact that they could lose a lot of money. They should just stay chill, not let the emotions run out. They should really believe in math and just think about the possibility of them winning which is low, and the fact that they don't have that much money to use makes it riskier.

Failure-To-Walk-Away: Gamblers spirit failure to walk away after win game, instead bet further with hope of more wins until the won money is finished. In 2009 survey findings by researchers from University of Stanford in California, found that around 92% of people who do casino gambling are addicted.

This is hard sometimes.

I can control myself when I lose but when I am winning, there is this thought that either you win or you lose your next bet, you could still have that profit and just stop after that one bet but usually, it doesn't end with one last bet. In my case, I usually have the of 3 after winning. If I can't stop betting after winning, I just need to bet 3 more and stop lose or win.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 19, 2020, 09:45:47 AM
This is really popular in the Philippines back in the day.

As far as I know, it is still popular right now but not unlike in the past where almost all of the people bet their money with it. It is so popular that every barangay has a guy that illegally make a bet on this and save all the others bet and the one who will win will be given that saved money. Also, that guy in our barangay is arrested. This is the paper he usually uses to list the names who bet.
428  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the next move of Bitcoin after $17000? on: November 19, 2020, 07:05:45 AM
It is still going strong.

I doubt that it will just fall that down easily. I think it will still hit $19K or maybe if we're lucky, $20K. I am still in the impression that the price will not be hitting a new ATH. It is not that I am thinking negatively about this situation but we never know what will happen and if it did, it is so much better, if it don't then I expcted that it did.

I have the gut feeling that we will reach new ATH come this december. We are still in the month of Nov and we are already seeing btc at $18k level. This will be a celebration for the whole crypto community. And with that,  I am seeing that there will be new users that will join this community. I hope they will be smarter this time and should know what they are getting into.

I hope it will.

As I said, I am not expecting that much but if it happens, it will happen. I think the fact that the price is continuously increasing and still staying strong means that there are a lot of users that invested earlier making this great demand. I doubt that new investors will be investing at this time since the price is still bullish.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of bounty hunters on: November 18, 2020, 12:50:46 PM
Not all of the bounty hunters though.

It is true that there are a lot of them working hard not just to earn their percentage but also to help the project invite or call more investors. But the problem is that there are still those that just want their part and just don't care about that. I can't blame some projects to not care about them but I can also say that there are poor bounty hunters that do their best yet they are suffering the reason a lot of these hunters stopped.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto Scammer on the run on: November 18, 2020, 12:44:16 PM
It is not about nationality, it is about how they take advantage.

They are using the people who are naive and greedy for easy money, it is not limited to a certain country but all around the world. People should be really careful with easy money projects or these kinds of deals as they usually say, if it is too good to be true, it is not true. Thank you for sharing about this, hope people could learn more about this new scammer and his ways.

432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 18, 2020, 11:36:49 AM
Trump is losing and he might not accept it.

I don't see how will this impact or influence gambling activities, casinos, or online casinos in the US. Maybe Biden has something to say about gambling that the OP knows and he did not state that on the OP?
I don't think Biden has said anything about it tbh. I hold the same idea that there's really nothing that the US election can do with gambling. At most, the news we've received is someone betting a huge amount of money on Trump winning, which he's probably regretting right now btw, but other than that, there's no news about gambling. Hardly doubt gambling would get impacted much with the switch tbh, even if there is one that is.

I don't know if this is legitimate, but here is this article

It states that Joe Biden didn't talk much about sports betting, this article only states about sports betting but not gambling as a whole. Based on the articles, Biden
Quote
believes states and federal authorities should cooperate to ensure that gambling is safe, fair, and corruption-free
I don't know what will happen that much but the article says that it indicates his support for getting involved in federal guidelines in sports betting.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: November 18, 2020, 11:21:35 AM
Yes, you are right. If every business can follow the government rules, that can help the country's economy grow and they can have better development in the future. So if the casino which can make a lot of money from the gambling industry can pay the taxes which will be bigger than the other business, I am sure that can help the government. Every help from the business owner will be worth it for the government to run their countries and help other people in this pandemic.
So far, seeing that there are only a few casino places that follow the rules of the government, the rest they don't care about the rules given by the government, online gambling is difficult to ask to obey government regulations because they don't have real-world gambling locations so maybe That's one of the thoughts of online gambling place owners.

But in that case, don't they have any regulations for these types of casinos?

It is failing to follow the rules and regulations of the country so the best way or step to them is to ban that online casino in the country for people to avoid using it but then again we have VPN to use, which makes it really hard to find a solution. How can a government implement these kinds of regulations with these types of casinos?
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: November 18, 2020, 07:44:14 AM
It is what it is but we cannot remove the fact that there are lucky gamblers. They gamble as if they want to win and luckily winning the jackpots.
In that case, they have recovered and won money too.

What are the odds a gambler could win a jackpot?

And usually, these jackpots are from luck-based games like dice and roulettes. I don't know how lucky they are but I don't think in that long period of gambling every month will be destined for them to win jackpots to recover those losses they made. Another thing is that it could also make the gambler's habit worse since he thinks he could win another jackpot hence adding more possibilities that he could win.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPals Bitcoin is a scam on: November 18, 2020, 05:14:53 AM
There are a lot of exchanges that don't give their uses the keys to their wallet.

That is the reason why we usually say that if you are putting your cryptocurrencies in an exchange, you don't own it because you don't have the private keys to it. This is pretty normal, that is why we don't usually use hot wallets. I guess you are used to those wallets that have their private keys and it is better, but you should know that there are a lot wallets like these.
436  Other / Off-topic / Re: in what business would you invest ? on: November 18, 2020, 03:09:18 AM
To be honest I don't know.

There are a lot of things that are still prioritized by people in this pandemic and I can't decide which is which. Although what I have in mind is starting my own business that would not be that easy. I don't know things that I should sell, maybe something useful or service that would be paid for by the people. It is hard to think of a good business right now.
437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should I study to learn how to trade? on: November 18, 2020, 01:10:07 AM
Before start trading You need to understand about the crypto industry first.besides you need to control your greed and emotion.there are many way that are used to manipulate marketing. Spreading fud, panic selling, lack of confidence can makes you weak & unremunerative. Should be careful about those matter.then you can start your trading with a amount that you think perfect for you to learn.

I don't think newbies would start about this manipulation.

That could lead them to wrong ideas that might destroy them in the longer term. Just let him feel and experience the volatility of the price and if he can control himself, he can just strike at the right time. Predicting the market is his goal in the long run since, without knowledge and experience about cryptocurrencies, he can't predict possible movements and changes.
438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should I study to learn how to trade? on: November 15, 2020, 10:37:48 AM
Before you even put your money into trading, you should know that this market is so volatile and it is not like the other markets.

Another thing is that there are a lot of sources or websites you can post this question and one of the most popular is Reddit where a lot of people could give you tips and information about it. This forum can also give you some information but it is better to have a lot of sources so you have a lot of information to compare to or based to.

440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: November 15, 2020, 09:14:39 AM
It is good that online Casinos are regulated by the governments its one way to protect users and at the same time to monitor the flow of money coming in and out of the platform. Expecting regulators to tighten online platforms due to new normal and tax implementation to online businesses is inevitable.

Regulations are important to protect the users but they could use this to take advantage on milking money from the online casinos. This would affect not only the casino but the users also since they will charge the expenses to the users. The Government should also offer protection not only to users but also to the casino. It should be a win win situation for all

Regulations are really important especially in these kinds of establishments.

Taxes, on the other hand, is for the better of the country although the government hands them sometimes to people that would want the money for themselves and not spend that on the projects or plans where they needed to be used. We can't just say that the government wanted to take advantage since there are some owners that also trick the government into not paying the right amount of taxes.
