421  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is age a limitation in Bitcoin on: April 01, 2024, 02:54:34 PM
Bitcoin serves as a mean of investment and also a currency we can spend to buy products without restrictions.
Yes, it has no age related restrictions and that's another positive aspect of it. In traditional banking system, minors can't have their accounts and they can't invest any money into assets. Thanks to Bitcoin, now anyone can have their own accounts (wallets), and store Bitcoin in those wallets without any type of restrictions.

Everyone want to have freedom of choice and Bitcoin gives them the freedom of choice. They are free to create their wallets, store their Bitcoin, and hold the Bitcoin to make profits in long-term. I believe that freedom is needed in everyone's life and thanks to Bitcoin, now everyone can have that freedom in their lives.
422  Other / Meta / Re: Adjustments to Merit calculation on: April 01, 2024, 12:24:21 AM
The trick may make your merits appear different then the way they actually are, in order to see your actual merits you may copy your profile and open in another browser where you aren't logged in, or you may click on Profile>Merits to see the actual merits. Smiley
423  Other / Meta / Re: Adjustments to Merit calculation on: April 01, 2024, 12:14:35 AM
Thanks Theymos, you have April fooled us!  Wink However, if in real something like that could take place then it's much better to make some changes where users who make high quality posts gets some auto-merits for their time and contribution.
424  Other / Off-topic / Re: I will comeback on: March 31, 2024, 08:26:03 PM
my thoughts and prayers will be with you .
Phillipma1957, I also have my thoughts and prayers with that guy but I have noticed that he has mentioned Ard coin which seems more like a promotion to me then anything else.

I think he's somehow connected with that coin or has heavily invested in that coin and that's why he's mentioning that coin so others may search for it or purchase it.
425  Economy / Services / Re: Mobile phone top up for 10% fee. on: March 30, 2024, 11:34:59 PM
My service is 10% fee.
Do you think that people are so stupid to pay you 10% fee for mobile top-ups. If you were offering small fees then some people might be interested to try your top up services but you're offering insane fees and that's why I believe no one would ever avail your services.

Even if you offer low fees then I still doubt that you may not get any orders because of your rank. If I were on your place then I would be using an escrow to offer such services so others might get interested in the service, and I would reduce the fees to as minimum as possible.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fundamental difference between Proof of Work (PoW) and (PoS) ? on: March 30, 2024, 11:29:44 PM
@ItsaWhale
All your post in just 2 minutes and some seconds. You are alt account of Alphazet. If you are not an alt of Alphazet, you know each other and both of you are trying to look for ways to earn merits together in an inappropriate way.
I think you got that guy, I also felt something similar about him. The both accounts might be in the hands of the same guy or they might be living in same place and created the thread then replied it within a matter of minutes.

If we look closely at his reply then we can find that it's not possible to write such comprehensive reply within 2 minutes and a few seconds and that's a clear sign that the accounts are managed by the same person. It's not a proper way to earn merits.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: House always wins? The case of Trump Plaza. on: March 30, 2024, 11:24:12 PM
Every business has to face some difficult times and same happened with Trump Plaza. It's actually first time I'm hearing about Trump Plaza, but after reading about it I found that the plaza was a huge business back in the time when it was operating.

If we check more about Donald Trump as a person then I'm sure most of us will understand that he's one of the most iconic businessmen of the centaury because he tried many businesses and got success in those, however the Trump plaza is among his failed businesses that he also might regret to operate.

428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Solana still Worth buying?? on: March 30, 2024, 11:15:11 PM
Yes, Solana is worth buying and in fact it could still give good profits because it's being hyped due to the meme coins.

Solana is going to get huge and I believe the ones who already own it should hold it for sometime. It could potentially reach $500 value if the bull run gets highly intense.
429  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI usage, 3rd time in a few months on: March 30, 2024, 05:08:52 AM
The same user teleported to altcoinstalks, and after this thread I don't think he'll be given any chance to be in a signature campaign in that forum. However, if he gets a chance then he should totally give up on using AI text generators and or fixing his own written text with those AI generators.

The AI generated text can only increase spamming and nothing else, anyone who understands that will never take any help from those AI tools. It's 100x better to work on your own grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and writing style than relying on AI tools like ChatGpt.

Using those tools to make posts is not fooling others but fooling ones own self, and someone who knows that will never ever rely on such tools. I hope that he may learn a good lesson from this thread and may stop using AI tools to make posts on that forum because if he continues doing the same thing on that forum then I fear that he may get so many negative karma on that forum.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What nature of the the rewarding games would you prefer playing with friends on: March 29, 2024, 09:42:36 PM
I have never played any such rewarding games with my friends and if in future I might think about playing such games with my friend then I'll go with the game where the winner may earn some edible stakes as that's a fun thing to have because it would be more like a treat from a friend and I will enjoy it.
431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I make my own signature and use it on bitcointalk freely? on: March 29, 2024, 09:38:05 PM
is it possible for me to use them freely (in case if I will make them by myself)?
Yes, it's possible and allowed to use the signatures that you make yourself, there's no such restriction on this forum. But, the maker of the signature should not try to promote a site that's a suspicious one or contain malware. Other than that, you're good to go with your own signature.

Do I need to pay extra charges to BitcoinTalk for this signature?
No, you don't need to pay anything to anyone. If you can design the signature yourself and apply it on your own profile in future then you are allowed to do that without paying anyone anything.

Will I face any restrictions regarding using this signature?
You'll face restrictions if you promote an unallowed service via your signature space, or you may promote a suspicious site. Other than that, you will have no restrictions, however you should understand that in order to take full benefit of signatures, you'll need to reach higher ranks.
432  Other / Meta / Re: What do you think if Bitcointalk accepted videos? on: March 29, 2024, 09:31:09 PM
Should it be possible or not to watch videos via the forum?
I think it's a good idea and I fully support it. I believe it should be possible to watch videos via the forum and I believe you are the right person to have a platform that may host the videos or make a site similar to TalkImg where users of Bitcointalk should be allowed to host their videos and then they may share the links on this forum.

I believe a JavaScript embedded pop-up of a video should be a nice feature to have on this forum. I believe someone like PowerGlove may help to create such script for the forum and if it's accepted and implemented by Theymos then it would be much helpful for the members of the forum.
433  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wait for the right set-up on: March 29, 2024, 08:39:53 PM
But waiting for the right set-up gives you an edge in the market
I think whatever you said is true and I highly agree with it. A good trader often waits for the right opportunity and when he/she sees that opportunity then he/she makes a trade.

In my eyes, a good trader is like a good hunter, a good hunter waits for the right opportunity to attack the prey and in the same way a good trader waits for the right opportunity to make the trades.

Those traders who make many trades a day are the greedy fellows who can lose everything with a few wrong trades. So, it's 10x better to be patient trader than a greedy fellow.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 08:34:56 PM
Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.
In each game, the casino has some advantage which's called house-edge, and that protects their bankroll and help them to provide their services. They don't necessarily do unfair things because their house edge works well for them and gives them advantage at most times.

But, sometimes a player's luck gets so good that the house edge totally fails against that player's luck and in such cases the casinos have to pay the player or make up a story. The fair ones pay the player while the shady ones make up the story. So, in your case it was your luck that didn't favor you and it wasn't fault of the casino.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Satoshi Claim Case Update on: March 29, 2024, 08:26:25 PM
True. I thought that it was over already, but I suppose this man is not going to give up. Still don't think that he's gonna convince anyone.
He's not going to get any success because a Faketoshi can't ever get the title of great Satoshi and that we all know, so no matter how hard he tried he'll still fall on his back.

This is going to be his last hope to make others believe that he's the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto, but I can clearly say that he'll fail once again like he has been failed many times in past.

Thomas Edison attempted many times to make the bulb and finally got success after so many failed attempts but this guy won't get success even with 100 thousand attempts.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know if my Metamask wallet was emptied? on: March 29, 2024, 08:20:46 PM
Can a crypto robbery like this be done without it showing up on Etherscan?
Nope, no such crypto robbery done which may not have its traces on blockchain explorers. But, even tracing those hackers won't be any fruitful because most of the times they use temporary wallets for the purpose and clean their coins with the tactics that they know. All the scammers and rug-pullers are technocrats and that's why they do their best to hide their malicious activities.
437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin on: March 28, 2024, 11:47:59 PM
~Snip~
Bitcoin is not for those who take loans and purchase Bitcoin so they may get profits and repay the loans + interests and also keep some extra profits. It's for those people who have their own money that they invest in it and hold it for long term.

The ones who want quick buck with Bitcoin often end up losing both money and hope and that's why they say that there's no profits in Bitcoin or it's scam, blah, blah, blah. If the understand the market of the Bitcoin and get a sense that how it works then they will only invest in it if they want to earn steady long-term profits.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been kicked out of a casino? on: March 28, 2024, 11:43:27 PM
Have you been in this situation before?
No, I haven't been in such situations before and I'm not expecting to be in such situation in future. Most of the casinos that we use have their terms and conditions that we must have to follow and if someone break those terms and conditions then casinos often penalize such users.

I know that there are some casinos that may penalize most users because when they have no funds in their bankroll then they always do something like that, but to be honest those are the shady casinos. I always choose the most reputed and most trusted casinos and I follow their T&S strictly and that's why I believe that I won't face such situation anytime.
439  Economy / Speculation / Re: are you expecting Bitcoin to hit $400,000 after the bull run. on: March 28, 2024, 11:37:36 PM
I'm seeing Bitcoin rising to $400,000 before the first quarter of 2025
I appreciate your optimistic thinking about Bitcoin but to be honest it's not going to happen that way. Bitcoin will surely reach some good levels in first and last quarters of 2025 but $400k seems to be way high than most predictions.

I believe that Bitcoin can easily reach and cross $100k this bull run and even $150k could be crossed if the intensity gets higher. So, I think that it's way better to have a prediction that should be below $200k at least for for this bull run, but I also believe it could even cross $200k if the intensity gets higher.

I believe MicroStrategy will play a big role in this bull run and it will make investors decisions of holding Bitcoin much stronger. If I'm not wrong then they will continue accumulating Bitcoin during this bull run and they won't be selling their holdings until the end of this decade.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Meme" coins are ruining everything on: March 28, 2024, 11:32:37 PM
If I'm not wrong then almost 90% or more of those meme coins are either useless coins or are rug-pull schemes. They are seeing growth because of the greed of the investors and that's why they are able to ruin everything but I'm quite sure that such intensity of ruining will not last for longer.

This is basically known as meme season by some people and the greedy developers are making those meme coins only to rug-pull greedy investors. Both the investors and the developers are greedy and that's why it won't be wrong if we call it greed season.

The worst thing about the huge number of those meme coins is the ease of creation. Anyone with $1000 or more can easily created and mint those meme tokens. Most of those are popping on Solana blockchain, and on that blockchain creating of a meme token is a child's play these days.
