421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celeb Coin Will lead to massive crypto adoption. on: June 19, 2024, 01:18:24 PM
This is a recent development in crypto where celebrities are now launching coins. I have been reading many threads on what could be its effects but I personally have mixed feelings.

1. Celebrities have large followers. Their coins could introduce their fans to web 3 and crypto.
2. They are using it to exploit people. Some of their tokens have pumped and dumped within 24 hours of launching. This could affect crypto negatively.
3. Most celebrities launch meme coins? Why cant they launch a project that has utilities.

What do you think could be the short term and long term effects of the celeb trend?

This is not something new in the past; there were a lot of coins named after popular celebrities. One that was very prominent was the Akoin, which was named after the superstar rapper Akon. He promised to build Akon City coming from the proceeds of the sales

Quote
Akon City is a planned community in the M'bour Department of Senegal by Senegalese singer and entrepreneur Akon. The project was first announced by Akon in 2018. Akon said in October 2022 that construction of the city's first phase would begin in 2023 and be completed in 2028. Akon said he was inspired by the movie Black Panther, and he refers to Akon City as a "real-life Wakanda" that uses the latest technologies of blockchain and cryptocurrency.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akon_City

The Akoin City is a proposed city or kingdom where he will be the king and retire in that city unfortunately the dream is so wild that it did not take off check this video and see what happens when a cryptocurrency-based celebrity relies on his popularity to deceive its investors.

So celebrity-based coins will not work, and only the developers and the celebrities will benefit.

The Big Scam of Akon City

422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: June 19, 2024, 11:55:19 AM

We can't deny that Paro threw more punches than him, and it seems like Matias was really outboxed by a heavy underdog. I have not seen the fight, just the highlights, but let me ask: was there any mention of a rematch for this fight or not? Because if there's a rematch, that would be good for Matias as he would have a chance to reclaim his title if he corrects his mistakes. But if there's none, then Paro should go for a unification fight.

Unfortunately, there is no rematch clause this is quite unusual for a contract in every championship match the champion has the luxury of a rematch being the champion but it is rare to see a no rematch clause, even if the challenger overwhelms the champion the rematch happens this is why trilogy happens.

If there is a rematch clause I'm sure Matias will find a way to beat Paro, but his camp is too confident that Paro cannot beat Matias, the rematch is every champion's luxury but they prefer not to include it, Matias should learn his lesson to avail that privilege next time that he is a champion.
The prerogative now for a rematch is on Paro unless the IBF makes Matias a mandatory challenger.
423  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Elousdt.vip - Ponzi scheme on: June 18, 2024, 02:30:59 PM

The platform is now down, but the promoter is somewhat honest, The Ponzi scheme works like that, once they launch they do massive marketing once the investment comes in they take the cost and the profits and allocate a portion for withdrawals.

Now they will do selective scamming if you're a promoter and you are getting referrals they will let you withdraw continuously.

They will only shut the platform if they are reported or no more funds are coming in, the advice is a new strategy they want you to deposit a small amount because they will shut the site down before the estimated profit.
And the warning of course they want you to think that they care and want you to make a profit.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling winnings should NOT be taxed on: June 18, 2024, 12:40:36 PM
In my country (Australia) ALL gambling winnings and profits are 100% tax free.
How I wish we were like Australia, our government is getting 20% of the profit of our winning

Quote
You don't have to declare it because it is considered a hobby.
Here in our country, it's our government's cash cow

Quote
In the USA and other countries gambling winnings are treated the same as income and gambling companies are required by law to withhold federal income taxes.
Same here in our country, the good thing is the government is transparent in showing where the money goes and this is for keeping and maintaining the government public hospital, the government cannot do it on its revenue so it relies on the taxes coming from gamblers.

Quote
If I had to pay taxes I would quit gambling. The risk wouldn't be worth it.
I don't think you can,  if you try to do that then gambling for you is making money and not a hobby

Quote
Does your country tax gambling winnings and if so do you declare it yourself or does the gambling operator withhold the taxes on your behalf?
The winner when receiving his winning already deducted 20% of the taxes everything was recorded on the gambling platform, our government has seen huge profits coming from the gambling industry so the government so they monopolized it and so they are the ones running the majority of gambling platform here in our country.

425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a weird way of weath redistribution? on: June 18, 2024, 11:24:47 AM
Yesterday I was sorting my winnings tickets I put while watching the game, had quite a nice sum and while standing in line to cash them I thought about how money is moving around, got the idea it's pretty close to a wealth redistribution.
Wealth distribution in gambling? Sounds new to us its more of wealth donation going to the coffer of the casino.

Quote
Might be a stupid theory but hear me out on this, we have the gamblers that bet on 1 million, half of them lose, half of them win, the casinos get their 5% share, from this share they pay wages and rent and other costs, cutting the part where the casino gets the money it's that basically gamblers pay the wages of the whole staff manning those, and they also shuffle money between them.
Assuming rich people have more to lose and their share of the losses is bigger, taking into account they support with this money a ton of jobs, 70 000 in Europe alone, is this a form of wealth redistribution?
Then we can assume all business are wealth redistribution based on your theory, casinos are profit generating platform they take the big portion of the profit and the staffs are getting what the casino operators are allocating to their staff even if casino rake in millions or billions the staffs or workers only get a steady income, so its not a wealth redistribution at all when one entity gets a lion share of the profit.
Profit and salary are not the same so its far from being a distribution of wealth.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: June 18, 2024, 10:52:40 AM

Paro and his team really stick to their game plan here and really put Subriel in a uncomfortable situation. And with that head and foot movement, Matias can't find his target and it was good to see Paro was able to sustain that in the 12 rounds.

So for now, even if Paro has been out for sometime, and we thought that it was over for him as there was a lot of hype until he got injured. Now it seems that he is 100% full of confidence and now the champion. Would like to see his style against Teo Lopez. So let's see who's next for Paro and it seems that Australia has another world champion.

Yes, he is beaming with confidence and after beating Subriel he declared himself the captain of the Super Lightweight, do you think it is an overstatement just because he beat one of the most feared men in boxing, do you think that he is a much better boxer and accomplished more than what Haney, Pitbull and Teofimo Lopez have accomplishment as a boxer.

I don't think he is, he is drowning in his success, Teofimo and Haney were former undisputed champions and he just beat one champion, I don't see Paro having a better resume on the Super Lightweight champions but I'm sure Pitbull Cruz will accomplish what Subriel Matias failed to do if ever they meet and I hope they do.

AFTER UPSETTING SUBRIEL MATIAS, LIAM PARO DECLARES HE IS ‘THE CAPTAIN’ OF THE JUNIOR WELTERWEIGHTS
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Over 100 million players on Hamster Kombat 🤯 on: June 17, 2024, 03:56:32 PM

Personally, I am thrilled with the result and the rate at which hamster kombat have grown, I am having a feeling that it's definitely will be a very big and successful project in the crypto verse - what do you guys think?

It is too early to say that but they have a good start inviting huge numbers of participants to their platform but is already a fact that so many of these users are using bots and auto clickers we will see when the token is listed and how the platform will evolve.

I hope it's not another PI and will evolve into another Notcoin, the success of Hampster is due to the success of Notcoin and they are striking and banking on the success of their predecessor

So far the stats they provided are stats provided in their telegram channel

- Over 15,000,000 players
- Over 7,120,000 Daily Active Users
- Over 1,300,000 players online

428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: June 17, 2024, 02:34:38 PM

I also can't find the highlights as I was not able to watch the fight because of the "Father's day" celebration,  Smiley. So I was quite surprised when I see it in my feed my morning time that Paro pulled a upset win in front of Matias fans as he was awarded a unanimous decision.

It was said that Matias can't get things in this fight, and usually if that happens, boxer who just rely on their power and can't hit their target have no plan B. And maybe this is what happen in this fight, Matias was really at lost at how good Paro avoiding his power shots and so that's the story throughout and Paro just taking points every round to win in the judges scorecard.

Many have not seen the highlights I just rely on what I read, DAZN delayed posting the highlights on their channel but here it is

HIGHLIGHTS | Subriel Matias vs. Liam Paro

Lian Paro employed a tactical fight and made a lot of adjustments that threw Subriel's game plan, Subriel could not keep up with Paro's movement, and Paro always had an answer on every Subriel attack, it hard to score the game as a draw as Paro is in command throughout the fight.

It's hard to beat a pressure fighter but in this case, Paro studied Subriel's movement so he could counter his attack and moves, I was rooting for Subriel as I want him to fight Tank Davis but with this loss he needs to prove himself again.

429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Akhmadaliev ordered by the WBA no later than September 25 on: June 17, 2024, 01:27:26 PM
I don't think we need a poll for this fight, even if Inoue suffered a knockdown, it's a flash knockdown where the fighter gets a knockdown but was not visibly hurt or affected.

I don't think Akhmadaliev style and power can offer something different from what his past opponents whom he easily dispose.

Inoue will just add Akhmadaliev to boxers he dominated and knockout before going into the upper division, no one in his division can offer resistance to his domination in the division, the Casimero fight is not going to happen as the Inoue or all boxing organizations shut out a Casimero fight.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] David Benavidez vs. Olexandr Gvozdyk interim WBC Championship on: June 16, 2024, 03:33:48 PM

Benavidez ran out of gas in the second half of this fight. When he is fighting somebody his own size, it’s not so easy to just steamroll opponents. I still think with his style he can beat a smaller fighter like Canelo. This performance didn’t get him any closer to making that fight happen. The reason why a fight with Canelo is hyped up so much is because Benavidez has been known as an exciting knockout machine. Grinding out a decision against a faded veteran will kill some of the hype. I don’t see any promoter running to write a $200 million check to make that fight happen.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that, after winning some points in the early rounds and assuring him of a decision, he just wanted to finish the game the killer instinct did not show up when it mattered the most.
This is his debut fight in the light heavyweight and Gvozdyk is not on a caliber of Opetaia, Bivol or Beterbiev he should at least score a knockdown.

The Canelo fight will not happen anymore, Canelo has set his eyes on Crawford and Benavidez will likely face the winner of the Bivol - Beterbiev fight, both fighters are on different road to greatness but people will always remember Canelo Ducking Benavidez when Benavidez wanted to fight him badly.

431  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto casino without investment on: June 16, 2024, 02:57:59 PM
Hello, what do you think - it is possible to open a crypto casino without any investments. I'm not including domain and hosting costs here, but I'm mainly talking about payout costs. Alternatively, if not a crypto casino, then faucet, something like freebitcoin but without a casino, just faucet.

There's always a cost in running a casino, if someone comes out with a no-cost casino then we will have new casinos coming up every day all they need is a domain and a host, the script and white label license alone cost thousands of dollars.

Even in creating a faucet, you need to spend money, do not use pirated software even if it is free, it's full of bugs as they will steal your funds.

In gambling operations, you need money to make money, skills in running a casino and enough funds are the key to successful casino operations.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Y hs giving out our private information become a normal thing in the name of KYC on: June 16, 2024, 02:09:08 PM
guys, why is it that giving off our private information for the sake of passing KYC on casino platform became a normal things?
We have an international institution that is called AMLAC and they monitor the movement of money from hackers there's a possibility that gambling platform is their target to wash their dirty money

Quote
Some gamblers are explorers in the aspect of visiting and using every new casino they see. They don't bother about the risk of giving out their KYC information to every new casino they come across.
As long as they did their research and were comfortable with their decision even though there is a risk attached to it, every gambler's decision is part of abiding by the rules of the casinos they choose to play.

Quote
Let us all not forget about the risk that is attached to any KYC information that enters the wrong hand of scammers or fraudsters. If you must give out your KYC information, let it be to a reputable casino. I realized that sometimes the casino will force some of you to pass KYC after you have won a big amount of money. They will force you to do your KYC before you can withdraw.
All gamblers should be fully aware of this so they must have an investigative mind and do research and read a lot of reviews about the casino they choose to play, which is why old casinos have an edge over new casinos because they have the trust of the gambling community, it's not easy for a casino to establish their reputation but they have to work for it if they want to stay long on this industry.

433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: June 16, 2024, 01:02:32 PM
Tank Davis got the impressive knockout in the 8th round and retained his email belt. As good as this might look on highlight reels, I’m not sure it can be considered such a great win. Frank Martin is a good athlete, but his boxing skills are very limited and he didn’t have the experience needed to prepare him for Tank. I am ready to see if Tank is more than just hype. He is almost 30, it’s time to fight Loma and Shakur, not just take shots on social media.

Talk about upset, it didn't happen here, Martin is no match to the boxing IQ of Tank Davis, he just methodically break him down, hitting in the body in the first 3 rounds to soften up Martin and then goes head hunting.

And even if we call Tank paper champion which I do agree, there's still boxers that he need to face next in this division, Shakur and then Loma. That will really set his greatness if he will beat that two name in a spectacular fashion as well.

Tank moves as if he knows Martin during the last 3 rounds before the knockout, Martin in one of his interviews stated that Tank is not the hardest puncher that he spared, but his views will change now that Tank has handled his first loss via knockout.

Tank is now eyeing a fight against Shakur, a rematch with Pitbull and Loma or a rematch against Ryan or maybe it's time to unify the Lightweight division and start fighting champions from other divisions like what other champions do. He can do that he is getting better with every fight and this Martin fight is a big evidence.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: June 16, 2024, 08:15:49 AM
Boxing experts predicted a win for Matias and his countrymen expect nothing less but Paro showed that he is a superior fighter showed heart and a good fight plan to beat Matias by a unanimous.

This is a big humiliation for Matias as he is fighting in front of his country and his first fight under DAZN
Even if Paro was deducted with punching in the back of the head he still won by a slim margin
115-112, 115-112, 116-111 even Subriel Matias agreed when Paro was announced the winner.

Unfortunately, there is no rematch clause but I believe this is not yet over Matias its just Paro came well prepared for this fight, its an ugly loss for Matias but he will come back he still a power puncher and he can always climb his way up.

435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: June 16, 2024, 12:44:15 AM
I would love to bet on Magsayo to win but he is a heavy favorite here with 1.30 odds.
https://duelbits.com/sportsbook/boxing/match/50712283-Magsayo-Mark-vs-Ramirez-Eduardo

So I guess I'll take a bigger risk here betting on Magsayo to win by KO with 2.48 odds.

How about you guys, which one would you choose, you'll like a smaller odds or the bigger one?

He needs to have an impressive  win so he'll be able to come back at the top. Being undercard on a big fight is an opportunity, so I hoping he will show his skills and win by KO. With that, I'm betting on the odds of 2.48 as I belive he will be able to carry his confidence on his last fight which he won by KO.

Hey guys! please update some free streaming link here if there is one.  Grin

Good luck to Davis and Magsayo. ( I'm thinking a parlay of this two).
Well Magsayo just won via unanimous decision after scoring a knockdown this is two in a row for Magsayo after losing the title now he is back on track in contention for the featherweight belt.

If you want to see a recap of the preliminary events including the Magsayo - Ramirez fight this is the link on the PBC official channel on YouTube the co-main events and main events are coming soon

436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Human IPOs: Investing in Individual Potential on the Blockchain on: June 15, 2024, 03:35:05 PM
Mande Network is building an "Onchain Credibility Hub" for Web3, a Layer 2 rollup on the Ethereum blockchain with low gas fees and fast settlements. The core idea behind Mande Network is to change how we perceive the value of individuals by creating an environment where talents, credibility, and skills can be tokenized and used to generate financial opportunities.
I’m going to be honest here and say that I do not understand this concept. It sounds me to like exploitation but I am hoping it is not. Investing in “human capital” might sound promising as it can expose many new talents but like I said it sounds like exploitation so ethical concerns might be raised for a reason.

There is a hint of exploitation when the human is the product; for the lack of a new concept, these developers are thinking of the unthinkable; this Mande derives its name from Nelson Mandela; his image is prominently displayed on their homepage.

There could be a copyright infringement using the name and the image of a prominent man to promote their platform, and this is already a red flag; it will take more to prove that it's worth investing in this platform, it's a new concept, and they need a massive marketing
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: June 15, 2024, 03:11:49 PM
^^ Paro is still a big underdog at 6:1 the last time I checked, what's scary about Matias is obviously his power, no one can still take his punch and eat it and then make him uncomfortable throughout the fight and make him think that his power is not effective and then he has no plan B.

So not saying that Paro doesn't have the chin, but once it touches him, for sure he will feel the power and so just like any boxer that has felt their opponent's punch, sooner or later they are going to be soft and so I'm seeing Matias winning by another ko here.

I became a fan after the Ergashev fight. Ergashev was undefeated and had an 84% knock-out ratio, with 24 wins and 21 KOs. Subriel pushed Ergashev to the limit, taking every punch He could give until finally Subriel submitted him via TKO.

Subriel is a pressure fighter. He keeps on coming, looking for the opening. He is a risk-taker willing to take his opponent's punches and frustrate him.

For Paro to win the fight he needs Subriel to respect his power if not he will have to have a good lateral movement so he can avoid Subriel's punches because Subriel will keep on coming

We have two great events tomorrow. The other one is the Tank Davis - Frank Martin, so it's going to be an action-packed Sunday for boxing enthusiasts.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: June 15, 2024, 02:15:25 PM

Davis though is very trim in this fight, at 133 lbs. Are we going to see an upset tomorrow night?
I'm sure he will add it before the fight to keep the power and maintain his speed; up to the last minute of the weigh-in Gervonta still taunting Martin let's see if Gervonta can taunt him in the fight he needs to take Martin seriously because Martin means business when he is inside the ring.

Quote
I agree, it's about time that he really needs to step up and fight Shakur or Loma next. He has been protected by Floyd and since their relationship in the last couple of months turn sour, hopefully he can make up his mind and fight the best at 135 lbs.
He should. If Gervonta wins this fight, he will be lined up against these two. It's good that we have promotions that let unification fights happen. I don't think Gervonta has the privilege to act like Canelo, who picks his fight at the price he wants. He has not yet reached the level of Canelo to demand anything.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish Guy loses more than €500.000 in a crypto casino on: June 15, 2024, 12:54:30 PM
He did the right thing going for a psychiatric treatment if you're betting this huge amount of money and part of which is coming from loan then he has a serious problem in gambling that needs an immediate cure this should be his main concern.

The guy's issue with the casino is complicated, he should get himself cured first before going after the casino as it will have effect on the guy's mental health.

This is one of example of gambler losing control of himself that he is losing money that he can't afford to lose, gambling is like a quicksand once you lose money, and you're uneasy with that losses you will try to recover and that will backfire on you.

440  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRONOSBTC.COM IS A SCAM!!!! on: June 14, 2024, 03:11:17 PM

Before my acc is locked, I tried make some test transaction in ltc:
1. sended 0.49 ltc, sell and withdraw 44 usdt
2. again send 0.9ltc, sell and withdraw 82 usdt
3. send 3.03 solana, sell it, buying BTG with price 17.5 USDT, try withdraw BTG and after that my account was locked.
They will be banned my account after third withdraw.

After that i created new account and send again for test 1.16 ltc and get locked my account immediately.

Wow you are really that bold or just an idiot you have been scammed and yet you opened an account to test the platform again, I don't see the logic.
Of course they can trace you as an old account because they have your IP, the machine you're using and your exact location so they will lock you again.

The first withdrawals are just to entice you put more then when you feel comfortable with the platform, and tempted to deposit that's when they will lock your account.
People should not trust TikTok,  the platform is being used as a venue to shill and hype dubious platforms.
