i thought if you have asset of supernet in NXT, supposed get some of this as token in AE. why was not distributed?

SuperNET has swapped its BTCD holdings and thus now has KMD. There was never any intention to dividend out KMD, that's a misunderstanding.

What we were talking about was a KV coin sharedrop, but details are not decidied. KV coin is a decentralized key/value database that the SuperNET platform needed. The possible sharedrop will be made after the SuperNET NXT asset has been imported to its own blockchain (i.e. Komodo assetchain). That is planned to happen this summer.

to Devs,
During the swap period, devs made statement that swapped BTCD will remain in 1 address and won't do anything which means burnt.
If swapped(burnt) BTCD is re-used by any means, Isn't it double profiting? (illegal?)
It could be violating the terms which made the BTCD/Komodo swap possible.
(creating millions worth of new coin generates enormous tax problems which Komodo devs solved by
swapping BTCD and ICO)
and to hear that swapped BTCD could be re-used again makes me worry because
it jeopardizes both Komodo holders and remaining BTCD holders.

any comment on this concern devs?

Yes, and that statement holds. All BTCD will be kept in that one public address for the duration of the swap.

Recently, I'm seriously considering of swapping my BTCD to Komodo.
that's after holding back all the temptations until now. because
I really saw the potential in the name "BitcoinDark".
I need few things cleared for the swap decision so devs please help me.
If I decide to hold my BTCD after Jan 2018,
Will BTCD wallets, staking and transfers function after Jan 2018?
or will devs decide to set a date for closing all the network and servers?

I'm worried that network will shut down and wallets will not function anymore after 2018.
Thus, losing all the function and value of BTCD.
And if there are more than handful number of BTCD holders inquiring small, even 1 developer or
maintenance person for BTCD. is that a possibility?

- There's no way for us to shut down a decentralized network. If people don't swap and keep staking the network will survive.
- There are no devs left for BitcoinDark
- The price could very well be close to zero after the swap is over
- Komodo will hold all the swapped coins after the swap
- It has not been decided about what to do with those coins, they will be worthless unless someone comes up with a vision & dev team about what to do with that coin (and in that case it wouldn't really mater whatever we would use the BitcoinDark coins or create a new coin.)

We recommend everyone to swap, there's no guarantee that the coin would hold any value after the swap, as explained before.

It's a Komodo block explorer. You can insert your KMD address there and see its balance.

it says:

Page not found. If you entered an address, the address won't appear here until at least one transaction has been sent to it.

But I have KMD Balance on https://ico.komodoplatform.com/. So what's wrong?

You will have to request a payout(withdrawal).

Payouts are processed monthly, next one in about 3 weeks.

How to send your KMD to an exchange

- go to 'home' tab
- click 'use exsisting KMD address'
- input the deposit KMD address you got from an exchange
- Now that you have the correct KMD address you can proceed to the 'payout' tab
- Since you are using a 3rd party address you don't have the seed, and thus you will click 'skip'
- Follow instructions and confirm the withdrawal

Warning: make sure you are doing the withdrawal to a correct address! Once we send out the KMD there is no way to retrieve it.

How to send your KMD to your own KMD address

1) go to home page, click 'HOME'
2) If you don't have a seed generate a new one by clicking 'Reset Seed', follow the instructions
3) Double check your seed matches with the KMD address, click 'Check KMD address', follow the instructions
4) go to 'PAYOUT' tab
5) click 'Request payout'
6) type the seed, click 'confirm'
7) click 'send'
8 ) wait that we process the payout (check your KMD address from kpx.io)
9) after we have paid, you can open Iguana Desktop App
10) Select 'full mode' or 'basilisk mode' and insert your seed to the desktop app

Marketing

Yesterday we have a very fruitful meeting among all SuperNET marketing people. We are developing an action plan for everything.

The key to Komodo marketing is to first understand the role of SuperNET and how we are going to address each target audience. Komodo Platform has two audiences:
 1. Developers
 2. Komodo coin users/investors

We are still brainstorming and laying down the plan. Our next meeting is on Monday, and soon after that we will present our plan to the whole team. The result is a complete Komodo marketing plan, and after that we will design the new komodoplatform.com website.

This is just a quick update to ensure our investors that we are working!

Why we talk about SuperNET and Agama

The short text below was just quickly written based on ideas that we were throwing around yesterday. I wanted to share it as it explains WHY SuperNET plays such a crucial role in Komodo marketing.

Komodo really is in an unique spot to get a big visibility boost from cross marketing activities among all the SuperNET products.

Cross Marketing Komodo

If we want to achieve large scale adoption for Komodo and Komodo currencies, we will have to build bridges to the real world. For the short term, our marketing will be focused on the existing cryptocurrency user space. There the linkage goes like this:

1. the user learns about Bitcoin
2. the user learns about other cryptocurrencies
3. the user learns about Komodo

If we manage to build a successful bridge to a real world audience that doesn’t know about Bitcoin and blockchain it will look like this:

1. the user learns about the ‘bridge.'
2. the user learns about Komodo
3. (user learns about Bitcoin and blockchain technology)

So what is the bridge? We are already building one: Pangea poker.

The difference between Pangea and Agama is its target audience. Agama will focus on existing cryptocurrency users while Pangea will target mainstream poker players. We will get the mainstream poker players on board because we can offer a superior product.

The poker player learns about Komodo through cross marketing. The Pangea poker client will use local fiat currencies (Komodo Currencies) and probably also Komodo (KMD). The users are naturally also interested in financial privacy, in which case the website refers the Komodoplatform.com material and guides.

No cryptocurrency can catch up with bitcoin by solely marketing to the existing Bitcoin user base. Komodo will have to build its bridges to the real world to be successful. That is why SuperNET Ecosystem plays a significant role in the Komodo marketing activities.

Conclusions

Let's think about killer application that target mass markets outside of crypto. What could those be? Ideas? Smiley

What are the command line instructions for doing a kmd>litecoin and litecoin>kmd transaction?

The DEX is not online yet.

It is possible to convert KMD into the Komodo Currencies though.

KMD -> USD
KMD -> EUR
etc.

Quote
"USD", "EUR", "JPY", "GBP", "AUD", "CAD", "CHF", "NZD", "CNY", "RUB",
"MXN", "BRL", "INR", "HKD", "TRY", "ZAR", "PLN", "NOK", "SEK", "DKK",
"CZK", "HUF", "ILS", "KRW", "MYR", "PHP", "RON", "SGD", "THB", "BGN",
"IDR", "HRK",

I believe the command is:
Quote
PAXdeposit <destaddress> fiatamount currency

However, currently the redeem/withdraw command is disabled due to security reasons. Thus for now you can only convert to fiat, but not back to KMD.

Is it possible in the future that you will link fiat into real local currency?

We are researching possible ways to offer a fiatgateway from Komodo Currencies to real fiat. However, we cannot directly touch fiat as we cannot deal with regulations.

429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET trades on Poloniex as UNITY, asset id 12071612744977229797 on: April 11, 2017, 08:18:33 AM
Can someone explain the benefits of buying Unity?  I've read a bit about it and "possible" dividends, but don't really know much else.  I like that there is a very low float, but trading with on Poloniex has been pretty flat.  However, there has been a little action recently and hoping for a good run, sustained gains.  Will there be any marketing soon?
Also, read the post on MobileGo, how does that affect me as a Unity holder?

SuperNET is an organization, and by buying UNITY you invest to the people in the organization. If you believe we can deliver our products and gain adoption then it can turn into a great investment as we will start to generate revenue.

It all comes down to whatever we succeed as an organization.

So what is SuperNET?

"A decentralized organization committed to develop an open source platform and blockchain based infrastructure for cryptocurrencies."

We are not a registered business nor a corporation. We are quite horizontally structured open source project with anonymous people behind it. We are building a lot of different products and brands on top of our platform, and SuperNET is the big parent organization behind those.

Our current main products are:
 - Komodo
 - Agama

Up and coming products are (not yet really talked about)
 - Jumblr coin anonymizer
 - Pangea poker
 - InstantDEX trading software

Marketing

Marketing is slowly starting. It's not so easy process as it's a big platform with a lot of potential future products. There's a lot of groundwork to be done.

We are having marketing discussions in the coming weeks and our team is coming up with a action plan. Our number one goal is to focus on developers as that's what will benefit us the most in the long run.

The development package we can offer crosses over with Komodo Platform, so very likely the same entity (SuperNET) will also market the Komodo Developer possibilities, such as assetchains and dPoW.

History

- SuperNET ICO
- 2 years of quiet development
- platform matures, launch of Komodo
- rapid team expansion, marketing efforts begin

During the past months the team has grown from few people to dozens of people. The stance SuperNET took over the years was that marketing dollar is a wasted dollar without any working product. Now we have working products and the marketing can begin.

So everyone who has been hodling SuperNET should hodl a while longer Smiley

MobileGo

As a SuperNET holder you want to have a good team with capital. The more capital, the more the team can do.

We are a platform that believes to a future of connected blockchains with many cryptocurrencies each with a niche. We are really happy to follow and help other cryptocurrency projects, and MobileGo is a very promising one.

If we find more opportunities for collaboration we will take it.

Hey guys. What would be the best way to store my KMDcoins? I want to keep a significant amount for later to see what the coin does, but they're all on exchanges now. If I download the desktop wallet, but my PC crashes.... than what? Will my coins be lost?

Cheers!

1) Create a seed through Agama (save it! take a backup)
2) Launch Komodo in Basilisk Mode, see which KMD address you get
3) You can verify you did all correctly by restarting the app and logging in with the same seed, you should see the same KMD address

Now you can send KMD coins to that address, and all you need to access them is the seed you backed up. You can login from anywhere with that seed and gain an access to your KMD coins.

However! Note that the 'Native Mode' generates a different address that is not linked to the seed! If you make any additional addresses or use the Native Mode you will have to make a backup (i.e. backup wallet.dat file).

Any estimate of when the DEX will hit the GUI?  Not stressing it, just curious!   Smiley

The estimation has been in months, but we haven't published any exact time as it's very hard to estimate. There are a lot of variables, for example the blockchain attacks slowed also the GUI progress. It was of course really good that we had those attacks as we are much stronger now!

As outlined in the latest Agama update, the development team will be doing the development in this order:
 - Usable Agama without major bugs for most users (we are almost there)
 - Code base upgrade to react.js (rough estimation 1 month)
 - EasyDEX GUI development begins

Did Jl777 even showed up or he went there wearing a mask?

jl777 is an anonymous developer. He won't show up in any conference.

He has earned his trust over the years, and there's no point for him to show his face. Better to stay anon, especially as his technology will cause some disruption in the years to come.

Hi! Yes it will be pending for quite some time.

We process the ICO payouts manually: first it was daily, then weekly, then bi-weekly.

Now it's monthly. Next one is in March

This isnt WLC, I think you mean May Wink

Okay thanks, this answered my questions so far.

One more question about Agama, because I am just intensively use Komodo.
How exactly can I deposit fiat money? The respective wallets show me always only my Komodo address.
Perhaps a FAQ with all these questions would be a good idea.
And as mentioned earlier, it would make sense if the activated and added coins are automatically reloaded at the next start of Agama;)

You cannot transform KMD into Komodo Currencies yet through Agama. The GUI will support it soon.

The process has to be done through command line for now.

Thanks for your detailed explanation. But you did not directly answer my actual question. Is it planned that at least a part of the distributions received from Byteball, IOTA, etc, is paid to the SuperNET holders?

Further a question about Agama. I would like transfer my Supernet assets from Nxt to my Agama Wallet. How do I do that exactly because Agama shows me my Komodo address when I add Supernet in the wallet?

All investments in other coins are saved as capital for long term development in addition to the amount raised with the Ico. I understand you because I own Supernet assets too but, on balance, this is best for the future of Supernet. So no distribution is planned. Maybe in future if Komodo is wildly successful and that capital is no longer necessary, then maybe things will change.

All assets are still on Nxt, the gateway to swap them from Nxt to their assetchains is still in preparation.

Yes, we don't dividend our capital. We must first become more or less self-sustaining, i.e. create some actual revenue.

The holdings of a company reflects the price. There are many real world companies which make profit and could pay dividends, but instead they invest that money back into their company and the stock goes up. It's a similar situation for SuperNET, all we think about is the future, and making few dividends now is not in alignment with our long term future & success.

Please check this agama multiwallet . I have just installed on my windows 2008 server but it's got an error like this
http://imgur.com/a/n1bGw. Please help me to correct this issue. Thank you.

It's a known bug of that version, here's a fix: https://github.com/SuperNETorg/Agama/issues/74

You can use the block explorer to verify what's in each address.

I red that unity holds round about 50T IOTAS,....what wil happen with this fund?

...if I take the actual OffTopicMarketprice ( 1TI ~ 25BTC)
it's ~1250BTC oder 1.500.000 $  Shocked

Will there be a payout for Unity-Coin holder ?

They are working capital that ensure development for the years to come. Once our platform and the DAPPs start to generate profit we will pay dividends.
