421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, ASIC-Resistant, Secure, High MN Rewards, Decentralized on: August 24, 2017, 07:23:21 PM
How much is fiat value for 100k satoshi btw? USD 4?

Yes, it is a bit more than $4 at the moment. Not impossible, but to have a comparison with a few other masternode coins:

Pivx :         $2.10
HLM (SPR) :$1.50
ChainCoin:  $0.25
DAS:          $0.20
ArcticCoin:  $0.07

Only Dash is more expensive than $4 per coin in this category.

I hope Vivo will succeed, and I hope the team behind it knows how.

keep in mind DAS did that with a dev that doesn't seem to care. so at least that range is pretty doable

Yes, I agree... I can see Vivo in the DAS - CHC range, around $0.2 - $0.25 myself too. That is realistic, not on the $4 per coin and 1BTC a masternode level.

And congratulation for your masternode guide, nice one...

423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [HLM] Helium - Campaign Thread - Bounty Information - HeliumPay.com on: August 24, 2017, 12:10:25 PM
Total supply is 20m coins. And only 1250coins for bounty? Is everything correct?

1250 is the bounty in this round. There will be other campaigns as well, such as a masternode challenge where the bounty is 1000HLM.
The supply in the start will be 'only' around 9 million, the total won't be reached for very long time.

mined it for 2 hours with my 4x1060 3gb. Got 0.4 coins. Shittest coin ever. Good luck guys.
what if this coin will cost 4-5 bucks at the beginning? you can mine up to 5 coins per day. can you make more than 20-25 bucks now elsewhere with that rig?

It will never reach that much.... The price of the coin is determined by the market not the difficulty.. Pivx is about $2. Why do you think Vivo worth double than a few years old well managed project with a huge user and masternode base? Or ChainCoin is $0.25 right now. Why do you think a few days old coin worth 20x more than a mature and proven project?

You are might be right... But only if you know the answer and can present a logical usercase to support such a high price. Otherwise I can't see any rationality for the price to be higher that $0.10 (I am already generous here, ARC is only $0.07).

if price will be that low - nobody will mine it right after exchange happens. abandoned blockchain.

As it already happened with many coins in the past and will happen in the future as well. Most of the coins fail or never going to be more than a pump and dump in the first few weeks.

I am not saying Vivo will be abandoned by the miners, it might have a bright future... But for that, buyers will need to know why buy Vivo MN for $4000 - $5000 and not CHC for $250 or ARC for $70, or might be Renos for $1000. Vivo at $4-$5 would make the masternode the 4th most expensive on the market.

What about bittrex and snapshot?Or do we need to download spreadcoin wallet and have coins there?

There is still no news and the snapshot date is approaching. I am sure the team will give us plenty of notice about the participation of Bittrex one way or another... But to be honest, I have already downloaded the SPR wallet and synced a few days ago, just in case Bittrex won't help us.

So from what I understand, the fork from Spreadcoin still hasn't happened? So if we buy Spreadcoin from Bittrex, we may need to send it to a wallet or we may be able to keep it on Bittrex and we will receive 1:1 Helium coin?

I've looked through this thread and I can only get pieces of whats happening. Can someone clarify, please? Will it be a Spreacoin split or an ICO?

Yes, you are right..... In order to get HLM after the snapshot, you will need to buy SPR on Bittrex and hold it during the snapshot.
There is no ICO, everyone who has SPR during the snapshot is eligible for equal amount of HLM. You will end up with SPR and HLM, it is not really a swap...
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PIECOIN REBOOT on: August 22, 2017, 05:14:58 PM
yeh, that wasn't too complicated Smiley

wallet up and running fine!

downloaded, extracted, run the app, closed it then go find the folder ...user/appdata/roaming/piecoin folder. then make a quick piecoin.conf (text file) fill it with all the nodes from the front page or http://piecoin.info/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/PieCoin.txt save and hey presto running the wallet and enjoying the pie.

one question for any innocent passerby's who have probably heard this a ton of times. back on page 31 i think it was there was discussion of how many coins would be set to start the masternode n then the discussion kind of went quiet (it was a late night read tbh) was there ever a resolution as to what amount will be decided or is it still TBC?

Anyone having issues setting up the wallet give us a shout I'll do my best to help.

For masternode, i'ts 25000 PIECOIN from what I understood.
Masternode is soon.

Is it confirmed? I am just waiting for this info to buy enough coin. I am investing in MasterNode coins, never know which one will be the next Dash.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: August 21, 2017, 08:24:08 PM
Project Update:

Friendly reminder that the Helium Bounty campaign has begun and can be found at the link below:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2104006.0

And coming soon, The Masternode Challenge:

Once the Helium network launches next month in September, there will be a Masternode Challenge campaign kicking off. The amount of coins required to set-up a Helium masternode is 1000 HLM. The Masternode Challenge will be open an campaign to anyone to compete in and earn a full Helium Masternode worth of HLM  = 1000 coins.

The details of the Masternode Challenge will be released closer to the launch of the network and will be updated on the new HeliumPay.com website (coming soon).

Can we have more then one masternode per IP address? Thanks

I wouldn't think so. That would go against the whole decentralised masternode network. If you have 5 masternode, you should aim to run one in each continent (or at least 5 different countries) to provide better access and security. There is no point to run all 5 in one datacentre in your country.

So far as it should been...  What is the output when you are entering the 'masternode status' command on the debug window?
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| DAS - Decentralized and Secure. Private Send. Masternodes. on: August 21, 2017, 03:46:42 PM
can anyone help? my Masternode has not been paid out for 4 days.

It was working perfect until I changed the externalip=
because my IP address always changes I decided to input my new IP into externalip=.

the console shows my masternode successfully started but i not been paid for 4 days.
I am worried i changed externalip= which effected the payment.

The masternode would need a fixed IP address ideally. But if you update your External IP and it is upto date and restart your wallet every time you make a change that should still work.
What kind of setup you have? Linux or Windows MN, hot/controlling wallet?
When you check the status of the MN, is it enabled?
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| DAS - Decentralized and Secure. Private Send. Masternodes. on: August 21, 2017, 02:26:35 PM
My MN didnt receive any reward more than 3 days, any fix?

Status is OK.

What is the output when you type 'das-cli masternode status' if it is on a Linux VPS or 'Masternode status' if it is Windows?
What is the TX or public address of your masternode?

Bounty campaign is open!

Still making a few tweaks to design/layout

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2104006.0

Hello, I want to know if you can still buy 1000 spread coins to receive 1000 HLM?

Hello teosanru, yes there is still time. The snapshot has not yet been taken so you can buy your spr and transfer to your local spr wallet to ensure you will get the same amount in HLM upon launch.

Is there a whitepaper? Will Helium replace SPR or will both chains be supported?

Hi Chocobo, you can view the whitepaper on heliumpay.com under the Whitepaper header by clicking the link.

Helium is not replacing spr - both chains will exist independently and spr will continue on as its own project.

I can keep the SPR on bittrex or keep them on where

This will be confirmed at later date... All we know at the moment, the application is submitted to Bittrex and we are waiting for the confirmation. Once there is an update, it will be posted here and in the Slack channel.

There will be enough notice to act... Either Bittrex or local wallet...

where are instructions to setup masternode on windows platform?

Check out page 4 in this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1988059.100
There is the guide how to set it up on Windows.

I think I have found it!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0exqsrUuC-4

He advises to HODL Das.
The guy seems to be an avid investor even with the allegation of him dumping CHC which he denies yet to be known if he is telling the truth or not but he sure does have a lot of followers who have identified DAS for investment, my problem with DAS is the bad air surrounding the Dev and how he responds badly to community initiatives, i have sold all my coins for now watching to see how things play out!
Payout to DAS MN is too poor even if 1 DAS = $1 usd the ROI would be still bad except you are the majority holder of the coin.

You saying that based on masternodes.pro?

My MN pays out on average 5-8 DAS per day. The most I got on a day was around 13.

How do you do that? I am running several masternodes and the average is 4.8 DAS a day per masternode...
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| DAS - Decentralized and Secure. Private Send. Masternodes. on: August 17, 2017, 08:48:02 AM
The future is dumpland man.All the early investors are out and no way community can takeover project.Sell before its 100 saatoshi

This is not completely true... I am part of the community which is forking and taking over SpreadCoin (SPR) under a new development team and name (Helium). This scenario already happened in the past and will happen as long as devs like Truckman exist.

That is another question if DAS will be taken over or not.... I would be happy if yes, but if not I am still OK. I learnt a lot how to set up masternodes on VPS with a controlling wallet.

What was happend with DAS price?! -50% that's crazy!

It is understable:

  • The dev abandoned the project and dumping the premined coin
  • Limited grown due to the naming issue (DAS is taken by another project)
  • Community is not taking over the coin and forking it (at least nobody stepped forward)

Now it must be clear for everyone that we need to take over and fork the DAS under a new name and dev team... Is there anyone has experience in forking a coin or at least developing it and would like to take over this project?

why do you think truckman abandoned the project?proof please

The developer is responsible to lead the project and sort out the issues standing the way of success. I would think having two coins with the same name is such an issue. The next logical step for us to be listed in Cryptopia which won't happen as DAS is already taken. Blockfolio, Coinmarketcap, so on are confused as well.
Is it the same for you?
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=DAS_BTC
https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_DAS/

As the developer is the leader of the project on it's early stage, the whole project worth as much as he worth. As there is no product, investors are investing in his work... When was the last time Truckman communicated or updated anything in this project?

Every successful project needs a road-map, a clear business-plan... When was the last time Truckman shared his vision to the future?

That should be enough proof that Truckman abandoned the project and the community needs to take it over.

I would be happier if Truckman came back and become a responsible dev from now on, as I am currently running 10 masternodes in 10 VPS' and already have enough coin for another 4. I have financial interest in this project, I want it to succeed with or without him. (would be better with him)

what we have now: truckman rarely write there and we have das on cryptopia?what's wrong?why u panic

"and we have das on cryptopia" - no, we are not. This it one of the main issue. The DAS which is on Cryptopia is DAS (Decentralised Anonymous State) and not our DAS (Decentralised And Secure). This is the very issue which Truckman would need to sort out. (or another developer under a new project and coin name)
