421  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List of African Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency businesses / services on: May 19, 2019, 07:16:40 AM
golix-withdraw - SCAM! please, remove urgently from the cap!
I really appreciate you point this out! Op should make some verification and ensure some scam projects are not listed among those Africa crypto products and services. He has done a good job and compiling this list is not easy because I am hearing about some sites for the first time especially those exchanges sites and I am going to give them a try one by one as I am from Africa.

However, remitano still remains the most reliable and trusted exchange platform among those listed and that is my own views and I have been trading through them for quite some time now and I did not know it is an African trading platform!
422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking profits but don't be afraid! on: May 18, 2019, 02:36:35 PM
you should be afraid about prices when pump and dump happend with this marcket, i hope price drop to 4000 per btc soon , Why give something more than its value?
you mean $4000 is the bitcoin value ?  I did not not agree with that views and I see bitcoin at the current price of $7350 as been undervalued to me. I will be happy to see bitcoin above $50, 000 not becouse I wanted to sell at that price but because that is the relatively price that we can said "that is bitcoin value"!
423  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will go a bit down, ALTS a lot down, then BTC again a lot up on: May 18, 2019, 06:47:33 AM
Most altcoins are going so fast in the last 2 days while btc is still hovering at the 8.2k. I hope btc will get enough energy to breach the 8.2k barrier and rise higher next week.

Bitcoin will maintain dominance and altcoins will get the crumbs. Like was said before, if bitcoin goes up ten percent then altcoins will go up like 5 percent.

Still better than holding cash but bitcoin still rocks it.
Bitcoin in it capacity has been dominating the crypto market since the inception and I don't think this is going to change in the next 10 to 20 years to come.  A friend of mine advice me to only hold bitcoin as others coins cannot grow without bitcoin and that means there is no need of holding other coins outside bitcoin, though I agree with him partially, but I have see some tokens that are not well know makes over 200% gained from the last week bullish trend that see bitcoin gaining around 52% for the week.  "If we can have understand how this market work there is no way we would not make profits from it".
424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking profits but don't be afraid! on: May 17, 2019, 07:48:48 PM
Though, "this is not a recommendations for you to make investments decision"!

Grin it is obvious you are not telling anybody to dump or buy more, this is speculation board, sure.

But on the same point and speculation, I would hodl longer, we might have seen a correction today, next week might be a good bull.
Thank you for making this observation and explain that this is the speculatives board of this forum.  Inside me I have that believes that bitcoin is going up more in days to come no matter what has happened now.  The more it reset or makes corrections downward the more we should expect the next pump to go above were it fall from.  There was strong support level that seem to hold bitcoin above $7000 currently and that is seeing to be another buying point right now.
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin has reached 8000$, then what? on: May 17, 2019, 06:06:29 PM
And it dropped down by 10%, I mean that's pretty normal that people will sell few or even all of their assets because they were worrying that it could be just a bubble or something or they just want to playing safe. Let's just hope it will back to $8k someday.
I see many posts on both here and facebook on how bitcoin is going down but some of us that has been in this market for long really understand what is happening. There is no sound reason why bitcoin is falling currently and that means traders are currently taking the advantage of the current gained to take profits.  The wise and skillful traders are trying to find the bottom now and buying for the next stage of bull run.  I am happy that some of us here are learning fast about the up and down of the cryptocurrencies assets pricing.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 17, 2019, 05:03:56 PM
Bullish news. Last time I read about this guy attacking bitcoin was weeks before the bull spike in 2017.
So let's wait with what happened after this and if that guy can make the bull spike again, then it will gives benefits to us because bitcoin price will increase so high like before.
And if he shut down everything, then we could be back to the stone age without a chance to see a new world happen and I am sure that many people will deny what he says.
It is not easy to shut down cryptocurrency because it's already spread in many countries although not all people know about cryptocurrency, at least people know that cryptocurrency is alive among them.
which becomes more difficult to turn off crypto because without the presence of the government, crypto can survive and more people use it. especially if the price flies, of course there will be more news about crypto, so that it has an effect
Yes, that will attract more people to come to cryptocurrency, and they will join like what we did.
I am sure that when the price flies, many people will amaze and wonder how it could happen again and they will search for the reason.
That is why I am more in favor of bull run that resulted into pumpping.  "Cryptocurrencies market", got it popularity from how bitcoin has perform in some years back and not because of how good the blockchain is or how bitcoin solved the transactions problems.  I hope if bitcoin or cryptocurrencies is shut down as stiglitz,  has recommended he has an alternative for some of us that are now used to the p2p transactions and the type of speed we are having in making payments online?
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese Police Arrest Malware Developers Who Hacked $2 Million in Crypto on: May 17, 2019, 12:17:36 PM
though this report is a great news, but hackers are hackers you cannot stop  them.. all we have to do is to secure our assets and even those exchange they should have the maximum security for their users
America and most developed countries has spent millions if not billions of dollars in fighting hackers but we have been seeing them coming out in another ways . I have  be following the issues since the beginning of this year and it is increasing day by day in the crypto space.  Binance was hacked a week ago and we have read here "cryptopia shut down because of hacking", and some little hacking activities "here and there" and it is good we should keep SMOKEU's advice of trying to securing our system from this "hacking activities".
428  Economy / Speculation / Taking profits but don't be afraid! on: May 17, 2019, 07:55:19 AM
I wake up this morning and when I tried to refresh my wallet, I findout that bitcoin has lose over $700 from it high of yesterday! Immediately,  "this thought come into my mind, don't be afraid,  it is taking profits time", new confident come into my mind and I developed another hope that bitcoin is far strong now,  better and menture now than in 2017. I will like to encourage us to keep holding and buying more at this time as bitcoin is on the way to the moon! Though, "this is not a recommendations for you to make investments decision"!
429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin In 2030 on: May 16, 2019, 06:27:12 PM
Before 2030, It is expected that all bitcoin should be mine and we should expect the "laws of demands and supplies " to determine it pricing!  I will pray that our God and nature should keep us alive till then as bitcoin is going to flush out all the economic problems created by the fiat financial system.  In 2030 our eyes much has been open to what the cryptocurrency discovery means to our generation and society.  By then I am thinking that bitcoin should be above $500000 or should be trading around $1,000,000.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dump the alts on: May 16, 2019, 05:32:06 PM
I'm not here to spread FUD before you start throwing accusations at me. I'm just saying though, Bitcoin is increasing in price, and it's probably a very wise idea to sell your coins and hold BTC at this point. I'm however not referring to alts like ETH, Tezos, LTC and the other solid ones out there. I'm mostly referring to the projects that have not followed the roadmap and didn't manage to deliver and let's be honest, there are plenty. Probably anything not in the top 15 in CoinMarketcap is not worth investing it (with few exceptions).

And apparently, there is some confusion within the community about price increases in CoinMarketCap and people think that everything is going up right now, which is not the case. The green numbers you're seeing in the price page don't represent much. If you click on the coin though, you'll see the price in Satoshi... that's the one that should be increasing.
I have many tokens that are now worthless because the developer has abandoned them and since there are worthless to me I don't think I should disagree with you in selling the few that are still have little value but I think in future are not going to survive!  I will hide to your advice and sell those coins are tokens now or convert them to some altcoins like litecoin and ethereum.  Dumping what you know are not going to make any significant progress in terms of pricing and market capitalization is the most and viable investments' decision we may make now in the face of this investments reality.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bear market season change to bullrun? on: May 16, 2019, 04:59:58 PM
I want to hear your opinion about changes in current market conditions. Has the bear season really ended and changed into the bull season? Then how do you make a strategy in trading. Buy large quantities of altcoins? Share your opinions to share experiences here. Thanks.
If any body really tells you what they are doing now in cryptocurrencies market and how they are investing in the cryptocurrency you should not believe that,  that is not the position of their mind but a speculations for you and others that opened this type of thread to make investments decision.  The market has really reverse and it is in a serious uptrend since early last month and if some of us buy then  we could have be in a good profits now.  It is good you should know that you can still buy some altcoins now and make profits when bitcoin and altcoin really began strong bull run.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End Of The Road To Cryptopia? After Loosing $16M To Hackers. on: May 16, 2019, 02:51:34 PM
Cryptopia Exchange has Gone Into Liquidation After Hackers took away what was reported to worth about $16M in January this year. The New Zealand exchange going down!
In this news; https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/137-cryptopia-exchange-goes-into-liquidation-after-hack the story of the hack was told.
Having being trading with cryptopia for quite some time and I have made some money during the pumped days in 2017, I really feel bad hearing that cryptopia is now out of operation.  It is a sad moment for me and even though I have some coins over there I am not happy seeing them out of business.  The hacking activities are really increasing especially now that the crypto market is witnessing surge in pricing.  The big and even newest exchange should endeavour to put more security on the exchanges platforms to ensured security of the investors funds.
433  Economy / Economics / Re: Why can't we have a good cryptocurrency exchange? on: May 16, 2019, 01:42:29 PM
Ima be blunt, based on the fact that loads of people are still without exchanging trade pairs because the likes of binance and such have decided to close deposits indefinitely (gcse computer science and business for us teaches how to develop disaster recovery regimes) so the fact that high profit exchanges can't do it is just off.

Most of these exchanges do stuff with customers money too while on there especially if they haven't withdrawn for a long time. Coinbase, poloniex, bitmex and binance I believe will all be susceptible to this, as well as bitfinex who have already proven how great their money management strategies are (I luckily only had a dollar on there at the time of that hack)...
Most of the exchange we have now especially the centralized one are not regulated and that is the reason why some owners of those exchange are temporary with fund from the investors and traders on their trading platforms.  If regulation is there we would not have all those issues.  For the op I think we are going to have some reliable and good exchange in future and because crypto market is at the beginning stages, we are seeing some problems with exchange platforms.
434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on the way to $10,000 on: May 16, 2019, 11:21:22 AM

So that we can sell our Bitcoins in comparatively higher price.

We have accumulated last year or even the year before and we now it was not the dip, so this price even if it's rising, still cannot satisfy our expectation.
I see this price movement as the beginning of the new achievement, but based on my average holdings, my selling price would be around $15k up.

Rise more Bitcoin 😊

I am praying and hoping this will happen.
Bitcoun has show much focus on the bullish directions this days and $15,000 may be cross before end of November or early December this year.  Many of the speculations I have read online concerning the current year was slow and steady up!  However,  thing has really changed and we are on the part up as early as this may and that has made this year a bullish year.  I am seeing through my technical analysis that 2020 we may experience a very strong bullish run that we would be discussing $50,000 or $100,000 so I did not see $15,000 as my selling point.
435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you think so please stop! on: May 15, 2019, 09:08:37 PM
HODLERS are actually not greedy, they are basically loser as being not a good trader or not selling at a good price but maybe ''smart'' as they can hold it till the next bull market. HODLING is something to feel shame for not to be proud of.
Did you know that holding is another trading strategies and because you have not tried it and you are making it through trading doesn't mean that those that has long term investment mind are not making profits.  I have been a trader and a holdler at the same time and most times I find both investments and trading much very useful!  I think it depends on the area you have train your mind with and both trading and hodl are good investment strategies and what matter is either we were able to show profits at the end.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which is your favorite cryptocurrency related website besides BitcoinTalk? on: May 15, 2019, 08:46:11 PM
Though there are many useful information about investing and trading Cryptocoins on this forum and if you know how to used some information here and you are able to analyze them you can make a strong investment decision.  We have many information and personal views about the market being posted here everyday and I do believe that those information,  analysis,  sentiments and views are very important for a wise investors or traders.  I do used coinmarketcap,  blockfolio and Cointalkforum to seek for investment informations and the foregoing sites has been very useful to me.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia is gone? on: May 15, 2019, 08:21:06 PM
Cryptopia is gone?

I don't get what they mean
They liquidated so they are saying that
the exchange shut down
I cannot withdraw anything from their wallet anymore?
This is really unbelievable! I have some units of graftcoin there and I am just hearing about this shutdown of cryptopia exchange platform for the first time.  I don't know if there is a provisions for investors and traders been able to withdraw their hard earned investments funds?  It is really a pity that this is happening at this time that I think cryptopia do give opportunity for those that want to makes money from the pump and dump of some coins.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin growth too slow? on: May 15, 2019, 08:00:19 AM
As at yesterday and the day before yesterday, almost all the altcoins were in bullish trend and some of them has gained significantly.  I have also gone down in research for tokens that were not much visible and some of them has gained above 100% in the last seven days.  I think and I believe that few coins that were doing well in 2017 are not doing very Well currently and that should not mean other altcoins are not doing well.  We hope bitcoin will pull coins like lisk,  stratis,  neo,  Xem,  fuel and zcash that really benefited from last 2 years bull run.
439  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good afternoon. Does anyone know if SFox Inc is legitimate? on: May 14, 2019, 05:16:24 PM
I hope you have not been scammed or I did not understand your post?  There are many reputable exchanges and platforms that you can buy bitcoin if you wish and my surprised is that why this unpopular sites.  Coinbase,  poloniex,  bittrex, remitano and localbitcoin are all there for you to buy bitcoin, why starting with sfox. Inc, I hope you have not really put in really money and you are just asking for our opinions before investing?   If that is true then I will said that you should be careful before putting your hard earned money into a site that you cannot withdraw like it happens to me in the past.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: May 14, 2019, 03:57:14 PM
I do not think telling a newbie about the price is a thing at all. why will a newbie care about the price in the first place? I will surely tell a newbie to get more knowledge about the markets and trading before getting into one of it.
A newbie should not invest into bitcoin and should not trade at all except they are ready to lose money and classified bitcoin as gambling or a ponzi scheme! I have said this here before that " to become a successful trader or investor in cryptocurrencies and bitcoin you must be skillful and professional" newbie may not know were bitcoin is coming from after the long term bearish market we witnessed in 2018 , and we should not encourage them to invest in bitcoin in the middle of bull run as we don't really know the major reason behind the current bullish trend except the technical setup.
