Just cashed out 500btc bought at 170 for 200 Smiley
Will buy again around $100 which will be rather sooner than later.

Congrats on your execution of that move. I'm sure many are very envious of that kind of profiting, I know I am. Not gonna hate tho.

You no longer exert an influence on the market. One less person to sell.
Perhaps but one more mega-order to help the bounce if it were to go so low. Most of the realistic bears I've seen are ready to buy in big at $130 if the price should entertain such a target. If it were to go so low, you and everyone else will have the ability to grab extra cheap coins and lock in a bottom and send the market in another direction big time and put a nail in the bear coffin once and for all this time around. Sure would be nice to see the narrative of the good Islam speaking out against the small and extremist bad being the leading indicator in the media across the world today. Oh, and gun rights would be helpful in France and other areas that leave innocent people hanging out to dry as the criminals have their way on the front end and the police clean up the mess on the flip side. Call 911 and die. Pack a 1911 and stay alive or at least have a better chance.

This is yet one faction lobbying the state against another faction that has used the state to keep the former down for a long time. The end result is that the state is the one calling the shots and not private associations of voluntary contracting individuals. The statists (social conservatives in this instance) will likely see the power of the state bear down on them as the baton changes hands as was expected after a generational societal shift. Live by the state's sword for a while, then get stuck with it. I'm at the point where this particular vestige of religious freedom (not having to acknowledge gay marriage) isn't at the top of my list and is basically the rooster coming home to roost because you went to bed with vultures (the state) for so long and now times have changed and you're on the outs. On one hand, I think the LGB community has gone too far at times but you can hardly blame them for bringing out the so-called knives against a bunch (evangelicals, socons, etc) that have targeted them for far too long. As it is, most of the latter are one or two issue voters and their main mea culpa in recent times has been the gay community. So, in the end, liberty rises and falls because those that sought it used the state to be their protector.

US Rep. McHenry says NC voters should take a look at Rand Paul

Quote
North Carolina U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry said he’d like his constituents to see potential new presidential candidates like Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.

“From what I’ve heard other people, he brings in a different crowd, not just activists coming out, but new people, new faces come out,” McHenry told reporters during the House and Senate Republican retreat in Hershey, Pa., on Friday. McHenry represents the 10th District, from the Charlotte suburbs to Asheville.

McHenry made the same pitch for Paul in an interview with Luke Russert on MSNBC’s digital show, “The Briefing.” Russert said he imagined McHenry was would be an early supporter if former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush runs.

“I don’t know about that. I’m very open about that,” McHenry replied, “I actually want to see Rand Paul in, the reaction my constituents have to him.”

McHenry, who’s part of the Republican House leadership as a chief deputy whip, also told Russert he has changed since he went to Congress a decade ago: “I came in as a rabble-rouser. I’m much more an institutionalist now. Roll Eyes

Even though the guy is not exactly a top shelf Congressman, it does help that he's a WHIP and the more 'officials' leading the people to Rand, the better.

Is the third option supposed to be like "puff the magic dragon" in relation to smoking crack or meth. If so, good grief! If you're gonna off yourself go right on ahead and do it but don't resort to the slow and sick way of going about it. Ew
4208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered hard drugs? on: January 18, 2015, 01:53:57 AM
Definitely not something that I'd consider. I don't want to be associated with nor share company with those that aren't dealing with a full deck. I'm sure they're not all bad but the element that usually lends itself to such trash doesn't exactly inspire me w/ trust or confidence.

One theory as to why Mr. Garza wants to hold a Q&A session in a separate room is because the people who will bother to attend the session are going to be mostly Paycoin supporters, since most of the attendees at the conference are bitcoin enthusiasts and do not have much interest in alternative cryptocurrencies. Thus, any skeptics would be frowned upon by the devoted followers. In fact, it looks like the Q&A sessions is going to proceed very similarly to the way hashtalk.org operates. The forum is heavily moderated and any negative comments regarding Paycoin or their operations get instantly removed.

Quote
Paycoin still has a long way to go. In order to at the very least establish legitimacy it must go back to the promised $20 floor. Otherwise plenty of investors are going to be left betrayed and feel like they were scammed.
So, Garza is the ill reputed person behind Paycoin and the jury is still out as to why the conference would stoop so low and take him on as a premuim sponsor when he's a competitor. Wasn't aware of that here.

Guess this is a side effect of cheaper coins, people are less concerned w/ their coins current value and thus are willing to frivolously engage these scammers even more.
4212  Other / Off-topic / The most expensive and luxurious ice cubes on the planet cost $380 per package on: January 17, 2015, 11:42:37 PM
Quote
Have you ever wondered why ice cubes vary in shape, texture and color when you see in them in your local pub, in a luxurious restaurant or just in your freezer? You probably haven’t, but Glace Luxury Ice Co. knows the answer.

The company is responsible for producing the most luxurious and pricy ice cubes on the planet. The brand offers pure, sanitary, tasteless ice cubes, which come in “elegantly designed” forms and re-sealable packages. Each package consists of 50 ice cubes, which come in either the traditional shape or as “revolutionary” spheres. The packages are worth £250 (nearly $380 in USD) each, which means that each ice cube is worth £5. The company claims that their products aren’t made with impure tap water, which contaminates the ice, and they state that their flavorless cubes allow the consumer to fully enjoy their top-shelf alcoholic (or non-alcoholic) drink. However, Glace Luxury Ice Co. doesn’t reveal the origin of their products, even though they claim each ice cube is hand crafted. Internet users have already expressed their opinion on the pricy product – most of them believe the company is a bigger scam than the ones producing bottled water.

Would you pay 8 bucks for a single ice cube or would you prefer to stick with your good old ice tray?

4213  Other / Politics & Society / US Senator’s husband stands to profit big from government deal on: January 17, 2015, 11:27:49 PM

Ever wonder how lowly paid lawmakers leave office filthy rich?

Sen. Dianne Feinstein is showing how it’s done.

The US Postal Service plans to sell 56 buildings — so it can lease space more expensively — and the real estate company of the California senator’s husband, Richard Blum, is set to pocket about $1 billion in commissions.

Blum’s company, CBRE, was selected in March 2011 as the sole real estate agent on sales expected to fetch $19 billion. Most voters didn’t notice that Blum is a member of CBRE’s board and served as chairman from 2001 to 2014.

This feat of federal spousal support was ignored by the media after Feinstein’s office said the senator, whose wealth is pegged at $70 million, had nothing to do with the USPS decisions.

When the national debt is $18 trillion, a billion seems like small change.

Must be nice but that's how it's done, folks.

I hope that people are seeing what kind of a failure in real life to some extent that the Iraq war was, rather then people having a surging appetite for the glory of war which was my first take on this. Kyle's first kills are a child and a woman. They didn't sugarcoat it. It also shows that he has no remorse for anything he did in the end. I hate the Iraq war more than ever now. Any thoughts from abroad?

Rand Paul Gets a Gift Not Made in America

Quote
Senator Rand Paul is now the proud owner of the ultimate smoking jacket: a custom-made, navy blue hemp blazer.

At a diner stop in Las Vegas on Friday, a fan of the senator’s surprised Mr. Paul with the blazer as a gift. It fit like a glove. And that was no coincidence.

The fan, Dannion Brinkley, said he had asked Mr. Paul’s staff for the right size, and they obliged. So when Mr. Paul, Republican of Kentucky, showed up to glad hand with voters, Mr. Brinkley was waiting.

...

Mr. Brinkley said in an interview that he had to get the jacket from Romania because it is illegal to trade in hemp in the United States. He told Mr. Paul that he wished the jacket had been made in America.

Here's the interview Rand did w/ Mark Levin last night. Levin is a radio host in the US and is on the evening time slot which is listened to by many millions of right wing leaning types. He's pretty entertaining but he was dead set against Ron when he rand the last two times, mainly because of this perceived isolationist foreign policy views. It really helps having these hosts neutral to bullish on you as they can drill the negativity about your candidacy in millions of peoples' minds that vote in your primary. This was one of Ron's big downfalls that he couldn't really control since he was dead set in his ways. This is how Levin wrapped it up as you'll see

He [Rand] is a sharp dude I'll tell you that. I'm serious about that. You don't have to agree with him on everything but he's willing to come on a program like this, pretty much any program, and engage. Where's Mittster?
And that's where you want to be in the minds of his listeners. Smiley

Anyways, hope you enjoy it: http://therightscoop.com/mark-levin-interviews-rand-paul/

4218  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Freedom of Speech in France? on: January 17, 2015, 09:59:54 PM
I guess at the end of the day, there's at least an acceptable amount of free speech in France. Much more than in North Korea where going to jail for such a violation isn't just a vacation but a hellish time away from family that may never end. You'd think in a socialist paradise like France, they would place a premium on the basic human right of freedom of speech. Of course, unpopular speech always is the lynch pin to infringe on one's rights which should be free from govt restrictions. A right is a moral principle defining and sanctioning man's freedom of action in a social context; a privilege is different and that's what we're witnessing here in most countries.
4219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking a loan to buy bitcoin on: January 17, 2015, 08:53:23 PM
This is one of those scenarios where "this won't end well" is the likely outcome if there's not a turn around right around the corner. Frankly, unless you're employed and have extra money available to you over and above monthly expenses, you're generally not in a position to invest in anything. The majority of even the workers in the USA are just living paycheck to paycheck and have no plan whatsoever to have any funds available for the proverbial rainy day, much less thinking about ever retiring. That said, at these prices it wouldn't be a bad time to get in in a substantial way if you've just come across bitcoin or have been awaiting a near bottom environment. Way bigger upside at this point than going to 0 and most people that have a clue or are at least neutral would likely lean in that direction.
4220  Economy / Speculation / Re: idiots dumping the price on: January 17, 2015, 08:42:28 PM
wtf i bought at 500 now its 200 i put a lot of effort and time into this and this is how you repay me by inflating my investment bitcoin is shit centralized exchanges centeralized bitcoin foundation

the bitcoin foundation should be abandoned they are useless manipulators of the price this isnt funny this is my life savings here and i dont want you to fuck it up for me its all your fault

im done im finished with this shit its a mugs game bitcoin will fall and there is no asset attached to it fuck you all i bet its those banker mastercard cunts shitting on bitcoin as well

The first question is, why have you put your life savings into bitcoin? If you're not so sure about a thing, then never take part in it. I don't know why there are so many newbies attributing the price drop to the bitcoin foundation. Have you tried asking the whales and the real manipulators?
I'd venture to say that lots of newcomers come here and invest because they have seen what kind of rallies bitcoin can have and that by waiting for a better price, one can miss the boat. It really does take time for someone to get seasoned in this new frontier territory to get a better handle on things much like those pioneering into western lands entering the great unknown back when. It's easy for those of us that have been here or in the community for a long time and have learned certain things to laugh and/or ridicule the newer folks that buy at an absurd level and while stating the truth or the obvious, all we're doing is putting a bad taste in their mouths. The healthy thing is to help them understand how things work so they can become a stronger and more confident trader/holder or whatever, not badmouth or getting joy out of the bitcoin diaries of said people. just sayin
