4201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 24, 2020, 11:53:48 AM
When you're in the losing streak it isn't possible to stop as most users mentioned in their quotes. When the wallet fund gets emptied we'll understand that we should've stopped earlier. This could've happened with almost every gambler, recovering the lost funds is possible. For the same we need the patience, one should not expect the recovery to happen in single day with consecutive bets.
For this very reason I keep my Tron for staking and I cannot withdraw them even if I want because there is a lock in period and I cannot withdraw before that time expires and by the time they get unlocked I realize I have lost enough and time to take a break from gambling. It is not easy to save your deposited amount to a casino though so only deposit what you know you are going to lose, maybe not today but surely in coming days or weeks if you are lucky enough to survive that long.

I never chase my loses but that is because I don't have the balance to do it, I mostly play slots and I either end of winning something huge and if not then I just bust trying to win big and now that most of the slots offer buy free spins feature, it is killing my balance like never before.
4202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: October 23, 2020, 08:34:15 PM
What is the status of your portfolio before and after the pandemic is it good or is it bad have loss a lot or have you gain more coins during this pandemic?
I haven't touched my bitcoins despite going through some tough times and I have sold a lot of altcoins which I held in hope for a big price but I had to sell them because they were being frozen to a particular price and the value was only decreasing or stable for some.

I actually bought some bitcoins and saved them because I know the price is going to be sky rocketing next year once the pandemic is over and the market gets back to normal. Although I have lost overall value in the portfolio but that is mainly because I sold my alts and I don't regret them one bit because now I don't have to check their prices daily and I'm only concerned with bitcoins value now.
4203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal customers will be able to use BTC, ETH and other cryptos to pay merchants on: October 23, 2020, 07:10:58 PM
What I couldn't really understand the part where it exchanges. Like let's say I am a shop owner and I sell something to people, and I do not accept any crypto but I do accept fiat, can people pay me with bitcoin, while I receive fiat? Like they end up spending their bitcoin but paypal exchanges that to fiat to give it to me?

If that is something that could be done, paypal will have a HUUUUUGE market, it would allow people to pay with crypto anywhere they go that accepts paypal payments, mostly online obviously, and they won't need fiat at all, even places that only takes fiat will be able to accept crypto as well, that would be world changing honestly. But if that is not a thing, this is not a big news honestly.
4204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔻 List of Casinos and Sportbooks to Avoid on: October 23, 2020, 04:38:30 PM
Thanks for the list but such threads can be only helpful if you are able to update the thread constantly and consistently with update from users because there are so many casinos and a lot of them are scam, I can mention a few like 999dice has been a scam long since and you might want to add them. I think we needed such a thread since a long time but really only helpful if you can take efforts and update thread every week at least.

I also think it would be great if you can put the thread with scam accusation against each casino in front of them their name so in case a casino is able to solve the problems we can also follow that and inform you to update the thread. There are many cases against casinos that are in pending mode so it also helps to mark the casino as pending cases and once solved you can remove them.
4205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mobile Legends Gambling [Part II] on: October 23, 2020, 03:59:29 PM
Amazing concept of betting on games and I just wanted to tell people that if mobile legends is banned in your country as India banned Chinese games followed by a few other countries then you can easily use a VPN to play the game. Below is how it works:

1- Download a VPN
2- Connect and open MLBB
3- Once game loads fully, minimize the game and turn off VPN
4- Now you can enjoy the game!

Remember to follow the step 3 because if you don't turn off VPN you will have really poor ping around 120 ms.
4206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 23, 2020, 02:49:43 PM
One thing many pro and casual gamblers like us always look for is whether the online casino is licensed or not but do we care where it was registered?
I am gambling online for a decade and i never checked about the license they are running but whenever i choose a site i always look for reputation and the longevity and whether they had any scam accusations and what are they things you need to be careful in order to gamble smoothly. All of the fiat based sites have mandatory KYC but the issue i see with crypto based gambling sites is that they will only lock your account if you keep on winning and they will try to find a way to block your winnings and i have seen many complaints regarding that but fortunately i never had those experience and i have verified my KYC in some of the casinos.
That is how I also approach my gambling because one that has a license doesn't guarantee that they would not scam us and one that has no license and is running for years has good chance of running smoothly in future too. I took this lesson when I saw the dicebitco.in scam as they looked like the biggest casino on that time but they collapsed once their cheating was caught and made public.

I understand users want to verify license before they play but getting a license is seriously not a big deal and you cannot make much claims if the gambling site had a license and you get scammed by them so better to play on those sites who are running and have a good reputation here at forum because almost all of the scam casinos are busted here at forum within a few months of their operation.
4207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: All most 75 exchanges and tradings have been dead in 2020 on: October 23, 2020, 05:11:25 AM
Haven't heard or not even familiar with those exchanges that have been mentioned so more likely those are underrated exchanges or newly sprouts exchanges.
Same here but I heard a few of them actually although never used any of them and thankfully so after reading the OP.

I do not get it why people would get into such exchanges that do not have any popularity gained that can be potential to be scam exchanges and people do still engage on it when they could just get along engaging into well-known and reputable exchanges that are a lot more safe than those exchanges that have been mentioned.
That's because these new sprouts give various offers like low trading fees and no withdrawal fees or some other kinds of promotions like you trade for a week and we give out prizes to lucky winners. I get a lot of such offers on my email, I don't even know how they find my email ID but I simply ignore all these offers.

Beware of such unfamiliar exchanges before you decide engaging on it because it would be a regretful act once you got scammed for engaging into an exchange which you do not basically know.
Experienced and serious traders never even lose money on these new ones, but inexperienced and new traders are the targets these exchanges focus and scam.
4208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 24 eth instead of 24 usdt....What Will You Do If.......? on: October 22, 2020, 06:50:27 PM
I'd personally return the money as I'd like to think that my moral compass is working fine, though I won't lie and I would admit that this would definitely be a tough decision due to the inevitable greed that's going to kick in.
I believe it is easy to advice than to do it when it actually happens to us. I mean yeah I think like you too that I would return the money but really I don't know how would I react when it happens with me because I work hard to survive and this amount is humongous to be getting for free.

I mean, 24 ETH is like $9000, and as a person that's currently in a 3rd world country, that's A LOT of money and I'm definitely going to be tested.
Indeed and I can tell you that not everyone in the Asian countries even earn that much annually so imagine getting your annual salary in advance without working .. that must be a big test of character for anyone.

I think though exchanges earn a lot and they might let you keep the 24 ETH but I'm not sure.
4209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you use to bet IPL in India? on: October 21, 2020, 08:21:15 PM
There's a very popular app called Dream11 and I mainly use it to bet on games. It's based on points scored by a team made by you on every game. You select 11 players total selecting players from both teams and then you get points. If you get nice points, you get huge cash if you get a good rank. It's fun and rather thrilling than just betting. For betting you can use bet365 as well Smiley
I was reading about that app Dream11 and I came to know that the house edge is humongous on such platforms and they are charging fees from both players firstly and after that they will charge fees on withdrawals and there is a big part of money that goes into taxes so I am not sure how guys are winning with such high fees being imposed on users.

I would rather make an account at sportsbet.io and bet because I have seen them running promotions for Indian users so they must accept users from India and sportsbet.io is the biggest giant in crypto for sports betting which also allows bet builder by the way if you want to try for IPL betting.
4210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 20, 2020, 03:20:36 PM
Is it just me or do you guys think that Ibra doesn't warrant a big transfer fee at all. I am telling this right now after he played an amazing game to take all the possible Ibra fans out there because if he had a rough patch and played bad it would be easy to be against him, but I am saying this now right after he had one of the best games he could hope for so that in the future when he has a dry spell I could say I saw it clearly.

My friends and I were talking about how our team needed a player like Ibra because we lacked size at the front and had a quick guy who got down very quickly so a strong and skilled player like Ibra would be great, and one of them said Ibra would be a high fee and I think it shouldn't be, dude is old enough to be father of some teammates, why pay for someone who will be gone in a year or two instead of a young player with potential?
4211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 20, 2020, 09:33:40 AM
Seems kinda cool, you can bet on skill games a few times I've seen but externally not within the casino itself.    Its harder to regulate when its 3rd party games being bet on but within a casino seems a fine idea to test out and see if people enjoy themselves on it.   Its very hard to call this in advance, slots work because its equal opportunities and anyone can win is both the attraction and downside.
A skill game can be hard to acquire a base of players who understand and want to put in the effort to improve their ability to win.
I actually prefer slots and luck based games over skill based games because I have been cheated numerous times in skill based games and the opponent used scripts such that computer was making his moves and I was always losing. These kind of cheating can never be eliminated because we are playing games online and cannot see the player so he can use various bots and hacks to cheat and win against us.

I had a match with my friends as a squad and we played a paid PubgM tournament against a team and we got brutally cheated as they used ESP hacks and killed us all within moments and we cannot claim anything since there is no way to prove that they were cheating so I rather ride my luck then someone else fooling me.
4212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 19, 2020, 06:52:57 PM
Rebuilding in a team like Barcelona is not easy. You can't just send players like Arthur which is young and get 30 year old players and call it rebuilding, that is not even a thing, plus Arthur was at least that good and had a potential to be better. Sure they have la masia which is worlds greatest youth team academy type of deal and I won't deny that, the amount of players that got out of there and became amazing is shocking, however not even they could produce another 2009 like situations from there, which means they will have to get some young and talented players.

Plus they have to be good as well, because if they are not good enough to fight for a title, that is not enough, Barcelona may not be champions every year but they have to be in the discussion every year.
4213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 19, 2020, 12:05:51 PM
I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?
Honestly I do not read the ToS rather I visit the ANN thread of the casino here at the forum and thankfully someone always does the hard work and fine loop holes in the ToS and casino as a whole. I never had the energy to read the terms and conditions literally but if no one is having problems on the ANN thread for the casino then I believe I am no different and should be safe to play.

Also I never had any problems with any casino related to terms and conditions and never gave too much attention to these things. Yes at times there are KYC asked from certain casinos but as they are trusted I don't find much problems with that.
4214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 19, 2020, 11:35:20 AM
On E-sports it's still business as usual they can still go with or without the crowd in fact they have all time in the world because of the quarantine and lock down and the limitation of people going out.
It's not all business on esports they're also affected now that most of the tournaments are played online and that means the teams are only playing within their region. Currently the biggest lan tournament this year which is Worlds dropped two teams that qualified from their region since they're not allowed to go out of their country. With lan tournaments being rare some teams were forced to release their players.
Yes, online tournaments have a lot of problems as I was watching some Chinese dota2 tournament and there were like 8 pauses in a single map because players were being disconnected because of poor internet speed which also affects their overall gameplay as we know dota2 and other multiplayer real time strategy games can be greatly influenced by a few milliseconds difference also known as ms in most games.

LAN tournaments never had such problems because a proper server was setup for the game and there were no internet issues and both the teams had the same speed as well which means the team winning won't be because of the internet speed difference which is happening in online tournaments.
4215  Economy / Economics / Re: "Humans will not be replaced by robots very soon" --- yeah right !!! on: October 18, 2020, 08:34:06 PM
Some really good answers and some really insecure people when I read this whole thread. There are people who believe that robot can never match the intelligence that humans are gifted with while some believe that it can be implemented in coming years as we progress. I think as far as jobs are concerned it is not easy to outsmart humans because yes there might be mass usage of robots in areas like agriculture but then you cannot get the robots to do tasks where human intervention is required and "common sense" is one thing that can never be inserted into a robot because like computer programs robot works on a given script and if there is an obvious decision to be taken which requires common sense then the robot will give an error simply.

Robots will be beginning to take over tiring jobs and repeated tasks but they cannot ever replace or outsmart humans because we humans are inserting IQ in a robot and we cannot insert more than what we have or even 50% of it.
4216  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Balance on Exchanges Reducing on: October 18, 2020, 08:04:11 PM
People who were economically stronger bought Bitcoins when the prices were crashed and basically they will hold their assets in long term and also exchange hacks are too often in the past years so people learned the importance of security while holding their funds.
Which is actually the right direction for crypto community because so many exchanges got hacked/scammed that it is hard to trust any exchange even if it is of the caliber of Binance because really it takes one bad day and you lose all the holdings just because of being lazy and not installing a wallet.

I think reducing balance don't have much to do with people holding coins rather than trading but because people are now more aware and educated about how they can keep their coins in their grasp by holding the private key. I was someone who used to keep some balance on exchanges and I also kept some (not much) on Cryptopia and when they got hacked/scammed I immediately withdrew all coins I had on exchanges and pledged to never keep coins on exchange unless I want t trade them.
4217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 18, 2020, 01:03:55 PM
I didn't do bad honestly, thank god I didn't do parlay yesterday, played each game on individual so that I would make some profit if one of them lost, I wasn't sure if some of the games would be like I imagined.

Interestingly I was expecting United to be either superb because they sucked so far and they were better than they played so far so they would either be amazing but I also saw their previous games so maybe they would continue to be bad that was one of the games I played but wasn't sure, thank god they won and that was easily. Played on City, wasn't easy but they got it at least. Played on Chelsea but lost that one, Southampton played not bad (kudos to sportsbet.io) and also played on Liverpool and that was my loss, it was the most trusted match and wagered most on that and lost it all.
4218  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBit.com - Betting, Bitcoin Sportsbook, Casino web-site| ONLINE SPORTS BETTING! on: October 18, 2020, 05:15:36 AM
This site terrible. Made 3-4 deposits and after winning some money on my last deposit they left e message on my account telling me you cant withdraw. No response from live chat. I have emailed also...

Are you shilling or really a victim? Since if you just read the previous post from the users in this thread for sure you will not think about depositing some bits on this site. But since you already deposited maybe it's time to move on now since a high chances that they will never answer you since this site is a long time scam. See the past claims made to determine for yourself about there cases here.
If he was really shilling the he would not be posting a negative comment I guess because rather than shilling it brings more awareness for gamblers. But that said not everyone checks the last posts and one might fall for this scam. I have seen so many websites that are listing this scam on their ratings and some even giving 5 stars to them which baffles me why they are doing so? Are they being paid? If even paid why destroy your website for one time payment from them.

Really feel like this thread should be locked by moderators unless someone from 1xBit team comes and refunds the people whom they have tortured in various ways like not crediting deposit or blocking withdrawals.
4219  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: October 17, 2020, 06:39:02 PM
You can lend your bitcoins or put them into an interest account. There are several platforms that offer as high as 6% APY. It is not a very high return, but not on the low end either. However you need to take into account the risks associated with keeping your cryptocurrencies with an unregulated entity.

On the other hand you can get a loan in cash against your crypto and leverage that money elsewhere while keeping your stash of sats. Financial engineering gives us a lot of possibilities. We just need to apply them.
Yeah, there are various ways which allow you to earn money regularly which is being termed as passive income here. I will try and list a few ways of earning in case people are feeling out of ideas.

Investment based income methods

- Lending or staking coins
- Trading (but this is not easy)
- Day trading like buying bitcoins at a cheaper price and selling at a higher price, I don't call this trading because we are buying and selling a single asset just at different values.

Non-Investment Based methods

- Freelancing
- Participating in various bounty programs
- Offering whatever service you are good at here in the services section - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
4220  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: October 16, 2020, 06:06:28 PM
I disagree with the opinion on the topic. Professional criminals prefer cryptocurrency to cash. If you look at Deepweb, you will see that many illegal things are made with cryptocurrency. Since the rate of cryptocurrency usage is low in the world, this rate also seems to be low in criminals. However, I think, it is much more than estimated.

It is true that there are criminals that prefer bitcoin or other crypto currencies as payment but if you will be asking me, I think the notorious ones prefer fiat to bitcoin or other crypto currencies. Online, most of the time use cryptos since online transactions can be tracked, but bitcoin can also be tracked. That is why some prefer to pay offline since fiat can be used anywhere, they are not limited to use and they are untraceable.
It all depends on the type of criminals as you cannot expect kidnappers to ask for bitcoins as they are not aware how it works and if even they are aware they don't know how it works and imagine someone tricks criminal by sending zero fees transaction and later double spending it and fooling the kidnapper or criminal so it is not easy for them and they demand cash because they usually have a tendency to share that cash among each other and not everyone uses bitcoins or cryptocurrency.

Another problem is like you said being tracked because one who is not careful can easily be tracked as they spend their coins one can track where it goes and so on until the final destination is noted.
