OG bullying Nigma on the first games of WEU DPC is something very typical of OG. It's something that I expect on online matches for NGX too, considering that they don't really play their typical game on online events. Good thing I skipped Nigma yesterday even though I was still amazed with how well Miracle played Invoker on Gamer's Galaxy LAN tournament. This games he doesn't perform quite to my liking, but bearing in mind that these games are just the start for NGX.
4202  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 15, 2022, 05:06:39 PM
I don't think there is any need in boycotting these gambling platforms that are owned by Russians because they are not responsible for this incidents and I don't think they should be punish for all these. I heard there was about 80K Russians that was arrested for protesting against the war that had affected the Ukrainian economy. We should not join others in this kind of sanctions.

But if Russian citizens that are not really directly involved with the invasion are affected by this crisis, they will then look for ways to be free of these sanctions and damages that their own government is giving them. Think of it like they're going to start a rebellion against their government that will overthrow the current head of state. It's not far from happening, considering the many coups and revolutions Russia has had in its entire existence. If the citizens themselves are being oppressed for something that they didn't do, they will, sooner or later, act and remove the root cause of all these problems, just like what any other countries that has had successful revolutions in the past.

Russian gambling platform owners do have enough money and capacity to help fund a rebellion, or at least influence other officials to go against Putin. If their business is hurt hard enough, they'd surely band together and put an end to Putin's delusion.

Tomorrow is the opening game for the first week of WEU DPC and we will have two big games for it

Liquid vs Secret
OG vs Nigma

Some facts on this, Liquid was the winner of the previous DPC and Secret was kinda bad throughout the last LAN tournament in Gamers Galaxy. As for Og and Nigma, Nigma won 2-0 against OG on Gamers Galaxy but yeah Nigma is just a beast on LAN tournament so this time it could be different though

And the roles have reversed. Secret swoop Liquid on the opening game of the WEU DPC tour 2 and they did it with style, especially the second game. They are not picking the meta heroes of this patch but they still know how to control the pace of the game very well. I must admit though, Liquid enchantress on the first game might have given Secret the idea to pick it on their second game. The hero is still a griefer in the lane and is still an effective roaming 5 if a self-sustaining carry is picked.
4204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to go in crypto lets leave fiat cutrency on: March 15, 2022, 12:24:05 PM
Right now the most affected by the war would still be the Ukrainians and the Russians. There is no harm in converting some of your assets into bitcoins, but going all in would still be pretty sketchy at this moment since the world is still reliant on fiat currencies. You would find it hard to buy necessities using bitcoins at this point, and it's mainly for storage of value too. It's a smart move for keeping assets, but somewhere down the line you would need to convert to fiat if you want to buy some thing still.

Entropiq vs G2 game was in theory close and yet Entropiq seemed to have a steady calm to finish the game without slipping.  I post just to put up the last moments of the last round which was quite a crescendo, I didnt think they had this quality to make G2 consigned to their fate when it would be so easy to slip in your grip.   I have to rate them much better then I did previous.  In reality neither team was doing badly, just a very nice execution in both meanings of the word won it for Entropiq.

Entropiq eliminate G2 from epl playoff contention. G2 put up a good fight, but they couldn't get the results they wanted in this tournament and they should reconsider some of their strategies. This squad should get much better results. There are three matches in Group A today. For a G2-NIP match, NIP might be a good choice. They have a good series of 4 matches and they can continue it.

Just as I have expected. Entropiq really finessed their way to the top 3 on that final map. It's a shame that the overhyped monesy cannot do anything, especially with dead weight amanek or even aleksibot. Everyone was excited for aleksib return but apparently he even performed poorly compared to amanek. G2 odds even shifted heavily upon the announcement, but what a lackluster performance on the series. Regardless, Entropiq performed well. Not clean CS but their rotations looked solid as they progress onto EPL.

On the other hand, there is the Fnatic-Entropiq match. Teams on the rise in both teams. When I look at the odds, I think Fnatic can make a surprise result in this match, no matter how much Entropiq is favorite.

It's a toss coin from this point. But I agree Fnatic can take Entropiq for a wild ride. Overpass is a good map for Fnatic T side, and a questionable Vertigo pick from Entropiq may even cost them this series. Neither teams are good at the map, but in recent results, I'd go for Fnatic on that map alone.
4206  Economy / Gambling / Re: SandboxCasino.io サンドボックス It's Simple: Fun and Fair. on: March 13, 2022, 08:14:50 AM
I think the users here are thinking of something to do with the NFT, as I know one of or more gambling site from Bitcointalk forum already implemented their own NFT and as an investor of the NFT you are able to use that NFT to earn on their website so it is more like an investment. I think some of the users here just wanted to know what's with that NFT for and wanted to suggest something about it. I think for now they only give use NFT as a giveaway but I hope they would also consider some of the users suggestion since I think that was a good idea too.

Of course people here would want their NFT rewards to be worth something, otherwise what's the point of playing in the platform for the NFT rewards if other platforms are way better when it comes to almost everything, not to mention that they already have a name that people recognize? I think the NFT rewards are a good way to attract players only if the NFTs they give out are actually worth something. As of late, the NFT market isn't doing any good, and I don't know what other benefits will gamblers gain from using the platform aside from the NFT that still has questionable value right now.
4207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in METAVERSE on: March 13, 2022, 01:58:39 AM
Why go the metaverse route when you can just go to a real casino and lose all your money there? If visuals and eye candy would be your main reason to gamble, then perhaps you're not into gambling and more into the digital tech of VR and such. They're pushing for the metaverse because everyone is hyped about it, but in reality it's just VR reinvented and rebranded with a different name. I personally would stick to old traditions and go to a casino if I wanted to play.
4208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Will NFT be the reason for a massive boost in gambling in the near future? on: March 12, 2022, 07:29:37 PM
NFTs may cause other people to turn into gambling, but not in the magnitude that you think. Ultimately, the essence of gambling will remain the same with or without NFTs, so why would a new token be the reason for a massive increase of new gamblers? It's just like introducing a new payment method to casinos apart from the existing ones that they have, and it can bring in some new faces but that's about it.

NFTs are just another crypto fad that hasn't proved its worth just yet. It may have raked in millions in sales but its overall value in the crypto industry remains a question up to now.
4209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2022, 06:12:41 PM
Skipping CS for now since the odds are too low aside for the G2 vs Entropiq match and even with those odds I still think it should be closer since Entropiq were able to beat Mouz.
aleksib is back https://www.hltv.org/news/33417/aleksib-returns-ahead-of-fourth-day-at-epl
g2 moneyline got slashed to 1.4 after the news but i managed to grab it at 1.55 earlier today. I think there's a chance +2.5 maps hits, Ancient and Nuke are good maps for Entropiq. Still, we should see a much better G2 without Amanek bot

Odds even dropped lower @ 1.35 at sportsbet.io. It's a relatively safe bet knowing that amanek is out of the roster and aleksib is back for the game. But still you're right that Nuke is a good map for Entropiq especially their T side. Personally this is a skip, as Entropiq is also a good team that can pull off some insane clutch plays for their own, and also knowing that G2 lost to Mouz and Fnatic, two relatively weaker teams compared to G2 as of the moment. Odds were good before the aleksib announcement, but right now there's no value in it.
4210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Joe Biden's Crypto Executive Order is a Historic Good News for Bitcoin. on: March 12, 2022, 05:51:50 PM
The recognition is already there, but IMO it will only be recognition and acknowledgment that cryptocurrencies exist and no other actions will be done yet. It is a good start coming from the president of the United States himself, though it's a different story when the wheels start turning and something finally happens. It might take a while, but for sure the road is being paved for that right now. Hopefully it won't take long. A lot of bit players in the world have already expressed that they're already into crypto, and it's about time for the US gov't to play ball.
4211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaires and Bitcoin on: March 11, 2022, 11:54:45 PM
I'd be terrified for sure, and the initial plan of action is to disalign myself with countries or entities that I know that are quite unstable and would have the tendency to do some crazy things and take my assets to their downfall. Governments can easily seize your assets and funds if you're doing something sinister, but if you're doing everything by the book and does not appear to engage in any illicit or fraudulent activities to gain wealth, there is no reason for the government to freeze or seize your assets in any way.

Or you can keep some of your assets in bitcoin, but there isn't any guarantee your assets will remain the same value, but at least you control your assets fully.
4212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin wallet suddenly activates after 11 years on: March 11, 2022, 05:19:35 PM
People should stop the notion that any dormant bitcoin wallet from 2010 and earlier are Satoshi's. By that time, there are tens or even hundreds of people that know bitcoin, and were probably mining too just to see what the project really is. Also at that time, bitcoin can already be exchanged to fiat, so for sure there are those who tried to mine it while they can and just see what can they make out of it. It is fascinating to see that someone still has access to bitcoins of old, but do we really have to connect it to Satoshi always?
4213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2022, 04:39:33 PM
What a good performance by NIP beating Mouz on rounds that matter. That 2nd map overtime is really fun to watch that I don't really care whoever wins. NBK is on his usual carry mode while the rest of his team can't convert any openings into good rotations that can disable NIP's movements across the map. Everyone on NIP really performed well on this matchup against Mouz, and I think it will be a breeze to go past against Looking For Org, but that team also has a lot of crazy mid round plays that helps them convert bad situations into wins.
4214  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 11, 2022, 01:41:35 PM
At first I had my doubts about Drake partbering up with Stake, but it turns out that the speculations are indeed true. He's a known gambler and high roller, so I thought that his bets were mostly harmless and of his own volition. Well whatever the case is, his bets may have already urged some other people to bet on Stake, and when he published that post, he hasn't disclosed that he's affiliated with the platform. It's quite misleading but I guess there isn't anything that we can do right now about it.
4215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WSL - World Surf League - Discussion Thread - 2022 on: March 11, 2022, 11:11:28 AM
I only followed surfing for quite some time, and amazed that they even have betting lines for this sport. I do agree that it's the sport of the gods, because you are literally going against nature itself whenever you ride the waves. I always find myself cool whenever I can stay on the surfboard for a few seconds, but these guys on these tournaments are really something else.

Personally, I never heard of that bookie. And if ever they're good for such events, let us know. Only a handful of bookies cover such events nowadays and I think we are missing a lot due to limited numbers of bookies.
4216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2022, 11:01:41 PM
NiP looked clean against Fnatic so i'll give it a shot @1.63, I think Entropiq should grab a map but NiP should get the edge if it goes to a decider.

Also is their odds against mouz seem good @1.80 (scheduled for tomorrow) at first glance it seems trappy but if they're able to beat Entropiq today I don't think it should be close to 50-50.
I agree, NIP are a solid squad of talented players. Could have been better with Dev1ce on it but at the moment, they play with freedom and no high expectations. Just trying to do their best. Their best should be enough to dispose off Entropiq. Who surprised me to day by beating G2 but, G2 were terrible.

Entropiq was good, but cannot convert most of their openings into something mid-round. NIP just showed us they're the better team because they can easily shut down Entropiq's aggression and their mid round calls were just always on point, especially on Nuke, through which NIP never gave a round after the half. On the second map, Entropiq tried to get a map from NIP, but crucial clutches made by REZ and plopski destroyed Entropiq's economy every time, which lead to them losing the entire map. Anyway, still a great showing on Entropiq's Overpass map.
4217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 10, 2022, 04:50:39 PM
It's what most irresponsible people do. If they cannot control something, they would blame the next person they see that can be held accountable for thinga they can't control. Parental guidance is extremely important until their kids reach their teenage years. They should still guide and keep an eye out on their children even if they have already grown, and there's no excuse that should be acceptable for negligence on their children.

I feel sorry for their loss, but I think they need a mirror to see that they're also at fault.
4218  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia can evade sanction through cryptocurrencies on: March 10, 2022, 11:13:24 AM
They are planning to shut their internet connection from the rest of the world, how would they benefit from cryptocurrencies? Perhaps some of them already hoarded for future use, but it would still be useless until Russia decides to stop whatever it is that they're doing and focus on other things apart from invading other countries. They can try to hoard gold and their petrol products which will be extremely valuable in the future, but that doesn't really mean much if you can't sell it for fiat.
4219  Economy / Economics / Re: Never expect you to be rich without investment on: March 09, 2022, 06:30:48 PM
In order to be rich, you have to have something that'll make you rich, otherwise it's just wishful thinking. You have to put in not only the money, but also the effort and time to make your investments grow. I think most people already understand this, but doesn't have the willpower to make it a reality for themselves.

At this day and age, financial literacy and having an investment is very crucial. If you do not have any of this you're sure to get your finances ruined and your future affected. IMO people should learn how to invest and how to pick the right investment with the amount of money that they have.
4220  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Trump be the right choice for the ownership of Chelsea. on: March 09, 2022, 05:24:56 PM
I see nothing wrong with Donald Trump buying the football club, BUT the dude obviously has no interest in sports apart from the potential profit the FC can make. Abramovich already posted two demands which I think Donald Trump can make, but will probably not do unless the club posted numbers for him. That's how he works, and perhaps that's the kind of leadership he will bring to the table should he be successful in buying Chelsea. Then again, most probably other parties will block this sale and bid higher. Chelsea is a premier football club for years because of Abramovich's passion and management, and it would go to waste if a businessman with no love or passion for the sport acquires it.
