Apparently there was a tornado in the US that reported 140 mile an hour winds and I'm now curious how much force it'll take to 1 knock someone over and 2 move the off the ground in wind speed...
The two should be taken similarly... Whenever I look this up I get vastly different figures as this stuff is done in a lab (I guess) for example I've seen a 50 kilo person should get knocked down at 40mph but there are enough 50kg people here that go out in 100mph storms (UK).
Also do hurricanes and tornados cause a huge problem in the US? I don't think they're more than a minor inconvenience here and doing little more than knocking trees over...

The longer bitcoin goes sideways the more volatile its next move will be is something i'd say at least..
Every asset class is volatile, if you have enough trust in where you think it's going - why not leverage instead? Both are as risky but at least with one you're not going to end up brankrupt (unless you're really bad at managing funds - which by this point I think everyone who talks to other traders has seen)...
I think everyone's heard of the person who remortgaged their house in 2017 and bought bitcoin at the $17k mark...

Both wallets I have are saying it's expired? I'm trying BLW again too since éclair is having difficulty finding routes...

Was there a point to this? I mean people gave different ways of functioning and he provably just doesn't like the idea of bitcoin..
Warren buffet doesn't like bitcoin because he can't get in on it, he's been quoted saying "anything with a market cap over 1 billion is here to stay" your friend could be the same and a lot of us use it to diversify when starting with investments as it's a completely different asset class or just have interest in the technology...

Potentially stupid question, is this forum local time or mine? I saw "your"? Feel free to delete this after clarification It'll be good to see you back. That's taken some time to SUS though! (almost like me trying to do something ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) )

This is ONLY for versions below 3.0.5 and probably isn't the Ops problem (though it may have been why electrum was initially reported)...
Oh okay. Maybe the entirety of having a cryptocurrency-related software might be a flag to Malwarebytes already? Like what antivirus software does as well? I think if the OP adds it to the permanent exception list, like what you suggested, he might be paranoid because of those kinds of notifications of outbound connections. Yeah a lot of AV goes off community usage and heuristics... And I haven't used malwarebytes recently but, op, if you get some text next to it that says something like win-gen-2 then it's just a generic report picked up by the heuristic algorithm... If you have issued with trusting the electrum foundation then I'd suggest looking up how to launch a virtual machine on your computer to sandbox it - some AV software can also sandbox it on the current machine in a virtual environment too but this will trade off security a little. Edit: just the inclusion of "gen" or "generic" in the report is enough to assume it might be a false positive.

I think the attacks on the electrum wallet are still ongoing continuously. Maybe your electrum wallet has connected to a malicious node? Upon researching, if you connected to one, your transactions might get intercepted and receive a fake update or something related to that. Information about Electrum wallets being attacked can be read here. The article was dated April 22, 2019 https://blog.malwarebytes.com/cybercrime/2019/04/electrum-bitcoin-wallets-under-siege/This is ONLY for versions below 3.0.5 and probably isn't the Ops problem (though it may have been why electrum was initially reported)...

If it was and the signature was right and those nodes listed above are the ones it has found then you can add it as a permenant exception in malwarebytes...
A lot of firewall software has a contingency for not trusting the unknown and this may be one of those occasions.

Electrums official website is electrum.org... Nothing else (other than maybe their github)
Scams where a link is genuine can be seen where the user trusts and bookmarks the page and then goes back and downloads an attackers version... Think about it, at the moment people could bookmark it and they can't be reported for being malicious but as soon as they have enough downloads they can change their download applications.

I'm nor sure what you mean with the 1 usd to 0.00012 btc, are you using that as a rate? Transactions aren't charged as a % of what you transfer but on the size of a transaction.
The insufficient funds warning is normally because you haven't adjusted for the fee when sending the transaction.

My node failed after 101 attempts but I've tried doing it through an online service instead so let me know if you get them...
Yep got it, thank you. When do you want it back? Whenever, if you want to get rid of them straight away you can send them here: lightning:lnbc150n1p0vj3c3pp5axgq4ptldld8z08tufzy6zyj4dgd8zlcjhelm9dc3m9cys43rl3sdqqxqr4rq9qy9qsqsp54k6a2n6chpw0rw38tegktx44yxvsgt0h7xl3932d9572klu5p38srzjqwryaup9lh50kkranzgcdnn2fgvx390wgj5jd07rwr3vxeje0glc7zf4hyqqgucqqqqqqqlgqqqqqeqqjqquxl9hmqk7nu43lfcf8l6e7ky5ahg2nktwtwreedvy2qhprtwqapqkzl6czf4yqa5dmlq266hh2xxjmt4arhchyz7kfxnwumv3f82ygqcurk04 Otherwise feel free to hold onto them...

Cryptos like bitcoin are a prototype, they're iot the final solution and they continue to be adapted and evolve.
It's handy to keep an open source borderless currency in usd if you're using one yourself as a country because open source software is patched a lot faster than governmental software... These will also be two completely different things.
Bitcoin is a deflationary coin whereas a cbdc would be an inflationary currency so they are not competing in the same markets...

Looks like you needed a memo with them (checking them from my end) and since you don't have one they now want to prove you own the address by sending another 15 to them?
I'd say do it if you're sure it's the coinbase.com site, you can deposit with the address and double check it on the app to make sure it's right before sending it but be sure to send from the same address and include a memo.
I’m pretty sure As u can see it is verifyed page and this is the email address help@coinbase.comCongrats on getting back your stellar, I guess requiring to send another 15 is just a verification that you truly own the wallet. Anyways, Your image here contains sensitive information like email, You might be a target of possible phishing and hacks, don't just post info like that anywhere, better remove it right away, and to those members that quote it please remove it too. Scammers are everywhere always be careful. Snipped just in case... Most of that stuff should get added to spam though anyway and email addresses are sold pretty regularly by a lot of companies...

Moores law started to stagnate in 2012 with the advent of gpus....
The issue was that gap that's too small means that electrons don't travel at the speed of light and are instead able to use quantum tunneling to teleport to different parts of a processor (in its simplest explanation). Quantum computing or em wave applications in current machines may offer some improvements later on but for the moment we're stuck...
We don't need miners to improve for difficulty to increase though, we'd need a price increase but not a mining hardware cost increase... And you can always work on making your chips cheaper...

There are free services like viabtc's. It's direct from miners just doing something for people with small transactions that need fast confirms and they offer a members service too (which I think you get if you push mining power towards them). A few other sites have free and paid for services, the paid for ones are obviously a lot faster but they're normally more expensive than the minimum fee so you may as well rbf if you can.
Miners can pick what transactions they add to blocks so they'll just add yours instead of someone else's...

Some one lended me 15 stellar I'mvery gratful to him and I sent them to my account Now all the coins are in my account
This is great to see, I'm glad it's been resolved!
If this happens again and you can't find the funds because you've sent everything, you can negotiate the support down to a different amount if that can be sent (i'm assuming 15 isn't the minimum the network can support)...
