4201  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: June 26, 2019, 08:47:39 PM
Exchanges have their systems and they need good securities since they will be holding a lot of money and cryptocurrencies but these hackers are so smart that they can bypass these securities despite the fact that they are just so close to being impregnable. That is the reason some companies hire hackers to develop their securities, hackers can counter hackers and there are kind of hackers.
The crypto exchanges and their security are not up to the mark when you compare the the rest of the financial exchanges, rarely do you hear a hack in the stock exchange, the reason is that they take the security seriously and make sure no one can compromise it and there are other securities and bonds involved if your money is lost through the hack if it is not your fault, but in this space every year you will hear multiple exchanges being hacked and so on and there is no way you can trust any exchanges with your coins.
4202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's bitcoin worst case scenario if Libra will be successful? on: June 26, 2019, 07:59:15 PM
Whether it is realized or not, the existence of Libra will increase the popularity of bitcoin and make large investors inevitably also participate in monitoring the development of cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin. Indirectly Libra has made a good impact on Bitcoin for free
All the big financial institutions are aware of the bitcoin market and the profit margin it can give than the rest of the financial markets and it is not a hidden truth anymore, the arrival of a central coin like Libra might attract people who are not interested in the market till this time and i highly doubt whether these people will get attracted by a decentralized coin like bitcoin and by the time the coin is released the price of bitcoin could very well cross $20000 and those huge valuation might not attract the common citizens to view bitcoin as an investment platform either.
4203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 26, 2019, 06:47:33 PM
So this match made the WC more unpredictable. After this match only India will be left as an unbeaten side. This shows the quality of Indian side as compared to other teams. I think India, Australia, New Zealand and England will make to the semis and India will lift the cup.
Things are really getting interesting with Pakistan defeating New Zealand and if they can win a couple of matches then they will reach the semi finals which i did not expect after their dismal performance earlier in the tournament, looks like the changes in the team composition made all the difference for Pakistan and there is a possibility that India and Pakistan could face each other again in the semi or in the final and if that happens it will be a historic event. India passed all the test till now but one bad day after this round could change everything, if they perform consistently like they did till now then there will be no challengers as they have the best bowling unit and a world class top order.
4204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance hits 60%, alts lagging behind on: June 26, 2019, 02:59:47 PM
With the way the market is moving, we might cross the all time high valuation once again before the halving and if they continue to rise like this we might touch the all time valuation in a few weeks time, the biggest question i have is that, how the market will react after that, will we see a correction or it will stagnate for a while till the halving and then the steam starts again, i am still not sure why the market is moving in a frenzy in the past few weeks breaking all resistance, either way it is good to see the market recover like this after a huge bear run.
4205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 26, 2019, 02:02:48 PM
Pakistan should win this match if they stay away from trying anything foolish. And also, the New Zealand run rate is very low, and they are yet to cross the 100 mark with just 19 overs remaining. Even with the most optimistic scenario, they may end up in the range of 220-240. For New Zealand, they need to make sure that they bat through the full 50 overs.

Edit: the score just crossed 100. NZ are 100/5 after 31.3.
New Zealand are building a partnership with Neesham and Grandhomme in the crease and with 4 overs to go they might well score over 230 runs and if Pakistan is not able to pick wickets they might target to score over 250 runs to have a total to defend and New Zealand does have good bowlers who could swing the ball and create all the problems for the fragile Pakistan batting line up and if they do not play sensibly it will be a big total to chase if they score close to 250 runs.
4206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 26, 2019, 01:00:56 PM
Wow, New Zealand seems to be in real trouble right now, five wickets down on just 90 runs. Amazing stuff by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan.

Defeating the undefeated Kiwis, just like in 1992. Wink
It looks like Pakistan has rejuvenated after their defeat against India and with the changes they made in the team after that are paying off and with the way things are going it looks like 230 would the targeted score New Zealand are trying to reach and Pakistan can maintain the pressure and take wickets then they could fold them easily and if Pakistan can play carefully against the swinging deliveries of Boult then they can win the match and the chances to get to the knockout is a possibility.
4207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 25, 2019, 10:15:30 PM
Shoaib Malik has already announced his retirement from ODI after the world so it does not matter much to him how he play. He is not sincere to the team and did not deserve to be included in the World cup squad.
I think his inclusion in the team has something to do with Sania Mirza.
Not sure what kind of conspiracy theory is that, what does Sania Mirza has to do with the Pakistan cricket team selection, a player can be out of form and that does not mean that he is not sincere in playing the game, i have seen many tabloids making stories after the loss of Pakistan against India and then linking the dedication of Shoaib Malik to the team as he went out with his wife Sania Mirza to have food the day of the match and so on  Cheesy.
4208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia, Philippines, Indonesia and India support crypto the most on: June 25, 2019, 09:13:14 PM
Less developed countries are doing the right thing, they support bitcoin because it can create jobs, anyone can work and receive bitcoin online, and end result will be more taxes to be collected by the government side.
I am not sure the least developed countries are doing anything to support bitcoin, it is a fact that any new platform will create job opportunities and not everyone can receive money for free, you need to have some skill set to make money as you will not get anything for free. The governments that are against bitcoin and its adoption are countries that are least developed and economically deprived and the reason for the the ban is simply because they cannot understand how to implement a law for a global currency that could benefit them, instead they find excuses to ban them citing illegal activities money laundering and terrorist funding can be made through a public ledger that can be traced.

4209  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will the Bitcoin price be in 2020? on: June 25, 2019, 08:22:32 PM
What do you guys think? Will we get to $100 000 in 2020 - yes/no? Why?
Anyone can speculate any price they want and you really cannot expect what the price would be in the future, considering that there will be more strict regulations in the coming years and you cannot predict what the future would be, it is hard to expect that the price would go up all the time but considering that the halving is coming up next year every is expecting the price would rise and considering the current market situation anything is possible. I do expect that we would touch the all time high valuation with the next rally but going to $100000 is a huge total to accomplish at this stage.
4210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do companies get their "Bitcoin experts" from? on: June 25, 2019, 01:35:44 PM
That's what I suspected. Being a blockchain developer today is like being an aerospace engineer in 1910 or a web developer in 1992.
I am not telling that this is not happening, people who have a computer degree and have knowledge about blockchain are considered as an expert  Cheesy, what i know personally from my former colleagues  last year is that major IT companies like Infosys and TCS started picking people from their ranks and started educating them about the new technology and formed a team to explore about the possibilities about blockchain and to come up with new projects.
4211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 25, 2019, 12:50:11 PM
Australia should manage 320+ if not 350+ but 350+ is still possible even if Maxwell gets out.

Stoinis, Carey can hit the balls hard but this partnership needs to play till 42 to 45 overs to go for big score. Maxwell does not have to start hitting the balls straight away. He has enough time to settle down.
Australia just messed up their good start they had and there is no way they are going to reach anywhere near 300 runs with the way things are going and with Cummins in the crease along with Carey i expect them to score 280 runs to the max as there is only 3 overs left and with the strong batting line up England has, i really do think they will chase it comfortably unless they mess this up again  Cheesy.
4212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia, Philippines, Indonesia and India support crypto the most on: June 24, 2019, 10:07:40 PM
I don't think taking part in airdrops, bounties, and referral programs is necessarily synonymous with "supporting" crypto.. obviously these countries has the most airdrop/bounty activity, simply because most of the countries listed are 3rd world countries.
That is exactly the truth, participation in bounties does not mean that they are supporting crypto, they are from deprived countries and they are taking advantage of the situation where they can earn more money than their annual salaries from their job than the common individual who earn much less than what they earn through mere bounties sitting at home.

Shakib is on fire I would say.
Shakib Al Hasan is turning out to be the most valuable player in the tournament with his all round performance with his bat and ball with 476 runs scored till now and took 9 wickets till now which is incredible, i never played fantasy player till now, anyone here playing it, if so i would like to know the best site to do that.

Bowling, Fielding, batting, leadership. dude can do anything these days. very underrated player indeed.
Imagine if he was an Indian. Indian media would make him another cricket god LOL
Shakib Al Hasan is the best player Bangladesh produced till now in every format and because of him they are able to challenge and upset any good team on their day and with his consistent performance in this world cup he is showing his value to his team and he might be a cricket god in Bangladesh as i am not sure as i am not following their media Wink.

Brathwaite playing an incredible innings now and he is taking West Indies closer to victory with his big hits and if he can take them home it will be an incredible win, just one wicket more for New Zealand to win, i never expected this turnaround from Brathwaite who is trying to replicate his T20 exploits he did a few years back to win the tournament and if he is able to pull this off, it will be the greatest innings in cricket history.

Edit: West Indies just need 8 runs from 10 balls with 1 wicket remaining. Shocked
4215  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Says- If Bitcoin Breaks 100k you can bet it will break a million on: June 22, 2019, 08:21:54 PM
John McAfee, the future presidential candidate says that If Bitcoin Breaks 100k  you can bet it will break a million.
What's your point of view on this, let me know!
Anyone can predict anything and if the price goes that much then breaking the million dollar mark will be the next target, but how long it will take to reach those valuation is another story and personally i do not trust anything McAfee says as he used to advertise for scam ICO in the past and he showcased that he will advertise anything if he gets some money even if that means the project is to lure people into investing their money and run away with it.
4216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 22, 2019, 05:20:41 PM
India losing to the most poor performance team (Afghanistan) is simply unbelievable if it happens. Afghanistan still have to make 125 runs but if they bat sensibly they will win it.
Indian bowlers have taken the game to the last two overs and Afghanistan is facing the best two quick bowlers in world cricket and the chances of taking the game away from India is a hard task. India bowled really well and initially i thought it would be a boring encounter but Afghanistan played really well and tested the Indian players and it was a good game of cricket.

Edit: As expected Shami and Bumrah bowled exceptionally well in the last two overs and Shami took a hat trick in the end Cheesy.
4217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 22, 2019, 03:22:35 PM
High chances of losing today. Dhoni is unable to make runs and plus they have only scored 192 till the 44th over. Feeling so bad as if they lose, they would have to win the upcoming matches and rain is another headache.
Having a reality check before the knock out period is a good thing and it is going to be a tight match as Afghanistan has good clean hitters who can clear the boundary and the only way they can shut them down is by bowling short pitch bowling as Afghanistan usually had a tough time against those deliveries.
With Sri Lanka winning the match against England which i never expected, the upsets keep on happening in this world cup.
NZ lost both their openers for golden duck today, not seen any team loosing both openers like that in a long time. Grin
4218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 20, 2019, 10:22:10 PM
I don't think, they were ever in chasing this score, they started really slow according to score and middle over batting was not upto the marks. Only Mahmuddalah tried hard to do something, otherwise all other batsmen did not even tried to chase the score.
It is a really difficult task even for top order teams with best players in their ranks and there is no point in chasing a big total like that and end up getting all out for a low score, to keep their confident going taking the match till the end and scoring the maximum runs they can would boost their morale rather than chasing the impossible task and that is what they did exactly, i expected them to chase and end up scoring less than 300 but they wanted to play till the end even if they knew that they lost the match from the start.
4219  Economy / Economics / Re: Is institutional capital good or bad for Bitcoin? on: June 20, 2019, 09:59:38 PM
Institutional investors will be the BIG losers. They are only making early bitcoin investors rich.
I am not sure what you are implying here, institutional investors will not invest unless they are certain that they can earn bigger profits than the rest of the markets and even if the initial investors become rich who cares if they are getting their profit  Roll Eyes. If you look at any financial market early investors have undue advantage and they will be the biggest earners than the rest of the investors who came in late and there is nothing wrong in that and that is how the world revolves and if you miss the train there is nothing there to be done  Tongue.
4220  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency, KYC and Terrorism on: June 20, 2019, 09:42:02 PM
During this time I also wondered, when a project ended in fraud, and they escaped the funds of investors who had been exposed to their fraudulent snares, then how did it proceed? is there a follow up to the fraud? did anyone handle the case? will the investors' money be returned?
with the posts you gave, I just realized that the funds might be misused for terrorist funding.
The fraud industry is a huge sector and is being is taking place since the advent of internet on a global scale and everyone was attracted to the new ICO market including the fraudsters who scammed people with penny stock schemes and IPO scams in the past and so is the reason we saw many frauds taking place in this market for the past few years, billions have being lost to these fraudsters and till now i have not heard anyone being caught running these scams but the irony is that these scams who took place in bitcoin with a recorded ledger which can track every transactions has the possibility to catch these fraudsters in the future as no one can erase those tracks.
