Call Display/VoiceMail....Online Status/PMs....all stemming originally from simply leaving the 'porch light' on or off (while peering out of a dark window) to ward off evil personal interactions and screen without obligation (also works to screw kids out of halloween candy).
Who would have known that humanity could have made it SO FAR in such a short period of time.
Humanity didn't progress due to a bunch of undesired interruptions.

I don't see any reason to prevent that. Most scammers aren't going to care that people know they're online. But the forum also always gives you the time that I was last active.
Only you can see that stat when your online status is hidden. Good to know. No longer need to log out, cowering in fear of "live" human contact.

1) Unless Kluge actually works for law enforcement, his opinion doesn't mean squat for if "documents look official" or not. He needs to be able to run them against a live database, not just check and see if they are high quality scans of potentially fake documents. Kluge, are you in any capacity to be able to do that? Nope. Checked with what university has published. They certainly could be fake (or perhaps more likely, stolen). I don't believe them to be fake given there is third-party evidence supporting his claims (rather, supporting claims that the person he is alleging to be exists and went to the same university Goat has a student ID for with "his" picture), there are no red flags I can notice (though, being foreign, all I can do is look at samples online and compare them against what he sent), and the amount of time which would likely go into securing all the fake/stolen documents. All of the documents have images of Goat at various ages. I would be surprised if Nefario had the ability to do more than I am able to -- pleasantly surprised, of course. Wouldn't he need a live db for every law enforcement agency in the world?

I am also looking for $5k USD in personal loans (all these loans/"CDs" are, in fact, personal loans) for myself (to be repaid in USD, of course). There will be a 96D commitment required. Minimum amount per individual lender = $500. Pays 2% every 32 days. I reserve the right to pay off principal + interest at any time prior (assuming it isn't the due date, in which case I must pay). However, if I pay early, the full amount of interest will be paid. Payment will only be accepted in DwollaUSD or GoxUSD. Paypal can be too-easily reversed, wires are expensive, and ACH transfers & checks take too long. However, if you want to do checks or ACH, that's acceptable so long as it's understood the start date doesn't occur until I have the money in Dwolla.
192D loans pay 2.2% per 32 days on otherwise identical terms.
384D loans pay 2.35% per 32 days.
PM me if interested. ID & utility bill can be provided, but I'm too cheap & lazy to get a promissory note. I'll send you an agreement via email if you'd like, however.
Example: Send me $1k GoxUSD for 96D. On 32nd day, I pay you $20. On 64th day, I pay you $20. On 71st day, I decide it's a good time to pay the loan off and send you $1020 to close the loan.

Why would I want people to know I'm online? People will PM, I'll realize they know I'm on, then suddenly log out and pretend I'm not there while I read the PM via email to see if I feel like responding to it immediately or continue pretending I'm napping/in town/on vacation/deathly ill/etc.

CD rate increased beyond pre-reduction rates due to lack of interest. These will not apply retroactively, but do apply for renewals (not renewals already committed to). I'll keep it at this rate until I receive 1k in additional deposits, then it will be lowered again.
Cheers!

The BTCTalk server does not host avatars when they're pulled from a URL. They are hosted by the original image-hoster, which may or may not use HTTPS. This is not really relevant to your communications with the forum being encrypted or not.
It should show a yellow triangular safety sign over the "lock" icon, not a strike through "https." Since none of us are having problems.... Are you sure your system clock is sync'd correctly?

% downloaded in tab title would be pretty snazzy, too.
Glad to see service up.

people buy used underwear? I think my wife would rather have new ones.....
In Japan, they have vending machines for used underwear... Of course, in Japan, they have vending machines for everything. The world is slowly assimilating to the superiority of Japanese culture. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blogcdn.com%2Fwww.urlesque.com%2Fmedia%2F2008%2F10%2Fmarine.jpg&t=663&c=VB8a6CyRg0YoHQ)

If they are coming in those square plastic containers shown in the OP, you might be able to keep using them if they were wrapped in a thick layer of packing tape, shrink wrap, or both. Watching a shipping agency doing its job is horrifying - packages of all shapes and sizes being recklessly tossed around with wild abandon.
I'm going to have to find something better before I try to shit these again. Hope that was a typo 'cause I tasted some inside the box. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Oh lol and yes. Fixed thanks. BTW how did it taste? I couldn't get enough on my finger to really taste anything (pretty well-caked on the box. There was a more substantial amount in the USPS bag, but worried what else the postal workers touched prior to the honey/box). Was considering licking the box, but worried I might someday have to admit in public that I did - like right now.

Demand deposits would be difficult to make work profitably using BTC (need many depositors, and likely many limits. Alternately, extremely low interest rates as with demand deposits without a very large # of depositors, you'd need a large reserve or face liquidity problems. Pirate's works by having a minimum balance, and he has a yacht-load of coins which aren't committed. If you withdraw too much, you're out until he wants funds not being given by his big lenders, which is quite possibly forever.), but I'd be interested in seeing it happen.
There's also nothing that needs to be made public. I don't name my depositors, and have a pgp key listed in my OP. If a lender wanted, I wouldn't mind not listing them. I've changed/shortened/not-included names in my "past loans" sheet and "current loans" sheet if the lender would like to remain anonymous or doubly-pseudonymous.

Due to abuse, we are suspending the asset/share transfer service on GLBSE.]Due to abuse, we are suspending the asset/share transfer service on GLBSE. What abuse specifically? I see nothing in the TOS related to transfer of shares between users. How can there be abuse when there is no rules stated in the TOS? I'm curious, too. What abuse has taken place to disallow people like Giga from offering pre-IPO shares for bulk purchasers? Or is that the reason this rule was implemented?

It's pretty much what you would expect. Jones makes some good points. Rothschild makes some good points. Then it devolves into name calling.
This thread appears to be a re-enactment, then?

Thread updated. I am now both issuing CDs again and entertaining loan applications from strangers. Rates have been lowered a smidge. This does not apply to previous CDs, even if they were made in April. However, if you renew your CD (except for renewals committed to prior to today, even if in April), I will only pay the reduced interest rate.
I was hoping to have a website up, but am still playing around with different options, and don't have much energy to do it anymore, so the OP will remain where information is given. As well, the I/O report has been updated to include new quarterly reports. Until June, the Q2 report will have almost nothing in it. An annual report will be created at the end of the year.
While I am now doing loans to strangers again, I currently have no money available for loans. If you ask me for a loan, at least check the I/O report to see if I have cash on hand for it. It's unusual though quite possible for me to have uncommitted coins, so if you have a few days before needing the loan (or even better, a few weeks), feel free to PM me if I haven't disclosed having any coins on-hand. Cheers.
Interest rate structure is roughly as follows: Very-highly trusted (done extensive business with before or very reputable on forum, solid concept given with prototype) -- 6% MPR (no limit) Highly trusted (done significant amount of business with before or very reputable on forum, solid business plan given) -- 7% MPR (no limit) Trusted (done business with before or reputable on forum [or extensive reputation elsewhere], adequate business plan given) -- 9% MPR (500BTC max loan) Untrusted (no business done with before, has a few successful transactions on forum, adequate business plan given) -- 11% MPR (75BTC max loan) Distrusted (no business done with before, has at least one successful sell transaction on forum, "fuzzy," optimistic business plan given or consumer loan) -- 12.5% MPR (10BTC max loan) Very distrusted (no business done with before, no successful transactions, no or likely-nonviable business plan given) -- No.

OP updated. Prices reduced and added Shak debt I just purchased for 100BTC (yes, I'm selling it for 2x the price I paid something like 30 minutes prior to this post). Given the debt is "unionized," I can't (without pissing off people I do business with) settle for less on the debt with shak without receiving a reduced payout every time a payment's made to the "SDM dispersal fund." This also prevents me from allowing sale of the debt to Shak for the price I'm asking, though it still an option for DI & SirC.
Cheers!
