4221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best non kyc exchange to use and how it fits with trezor on: October 21, 2020, 04:39:20 PM
If you are wondering to buy bitcoin from peer to peer exchange then besides Bisq, you may use LocalCryptos, it's a self custodial peer to peer exchange. Since you will control your wallet there, it's almost safe. But if you want to store bitcoin for a long time, then move your bitcoin to the hardware wallet as you mentioned in the post. Just make sure, you haven't stored your seed at any online or offline machine, write it on multiple hard papers and save it in multiple safe places. So if in case you lost one, you can recover your fund easily. Reading what is suggested by @mk4 will lead you to a few best wallet where you may compare each other.
4222  Economy / Economics / Re: btc value and currency inflations on: October 21, 2020, 04:00:40 PM
Are you talking about price or value? Both are different things, value depends on the community for bitcoin and price depend on the exchange rates. It's true if bitcoin loses price rapidly then the community would be regret, as a result, Bitcoin would lose its value. I don't think USD will be devalued, but if in case it happens, then Bitcoin value would reduce as well. Because eventually, we measure bitcoin price with USD. On the other hand, USDT will lose value at the same time. But not sure if its effect on USDT price. Overall I want to say, in the end, we need to cash out our bitcoin, so if fiat like USD loses its value then we can't expect a high value for Bitcoin as well, it's not a matter of price. When bitcoin's price increase against USD means USD losing price against bitcoin when Bitcoin dump hardly means Bitcoin losing price against USD.
4223  Economy / Reputation / Re: User 'mbahokey' cheating on the campaign by the copy-pasting article from others on: October 21, 2020, 02:43:15 PM
The problem is, I am not sure if the medium account really belongs to the user 'mbahokey' since he hadn't posted a medium profile by his forum account.
It's his account certainly, he has used the same medium profile in other bounty too, I have checked KingCasino content bounty and found he used the same medoum profile. It's unlikely that he will use another persons account as both username are same.

Yea, I have found on the KingCasino spreadsheet. Based on it, it's sure that he has used the same medium profile on other campaigns, it means he is the culprit.

I am gonna tag him since he tried to cheat the campaign manager and plagiarized content from others for the content campaign.

you can do right now is to contact the campaign manager and ask where he did the plagiarism just to confirm if he is controlling the medium account where the plagiarism has happened.
Not necessary, got evidence from above
4224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we back to the bull market? on: October 21, 2020, 02:01:48 PM
Are we not in a bull trend for a couple of months? If you are expecting that bull run will touch ATH then I will say no, still we have a long way to walk. The current bull trend is likely a normal behavior of Bitcoin, I am assuming this isn't a fake pump, and new investors buying bitcoin. But I am positive about the current trend, it's because even we are facing a global crisis but who we are on bitcoin are almost happy. But honestly, I will be one of them who are waiting for a bull run for a long time. Had lost much, just waiting to recover.
4225  Economy / Reputation / User 'mbahokey' cheating on the campaign by the copy-pasting article from others on: October 21, 2020, 08:16:02 AM
User mbahokey had participated Blog/Article campaign in [Bounty]DEGO.Finance Defi with Sustainability-100,000 DEGO Token. Not sure how the campaign manager had collected the campaign report but this user's report marked as plagiarism on the spreadsheet (Article#143) when the author of the article claims it. Today I receive PM via telegram from the author of the article called @BlockhainMediaID, he had asked me to create a thread against this user since he doesn't have an account on the forum. I am not sure if he is the original writer, but it's pretty sure user mbahokey plagiarized from other's websites.

Submitted article: https://archive.is/Mr4zM
Plagiarized from: https://blockchainmedia.id/panduan-untuk-pemula-apa-itu-defi-decentralized-finance/
Proof of authentication: https://archive.is/km98u

You may notice at the bottom of the article, mbahokey claimed himself as a writer of that article. The problem is, I am not sure if the medium account really belongs to the user 'mbahokey' since he hadn't posted a medium profile by his forum account. I think the manager would know about it since he rejects for plagiarism. I have sent PM to the manager.

4226  Other / Meta / Re: Why is there no Technical board in the Altcoin Section? on: October 20, 2020, 12:09:42 PM
Before you create a thread like this should use the search button to see if there is an existing thread that has been discussing there. It's because there is a possibility that someone had raised a similar question before you joined this forum. For you may participate in the existing thread and contribute your valuable opinion. Here are a few threads found when I had used the search button.

1. Creating an Altcoin Technical Discussion Board
2. new board - Altcoin technical support. what do you think?
3. Can we have a separate board for Altcoin Technical Support & Discussion?
4. Altcoin - Development & Technical Discussion

Adding a new Altcoin Technical board just invite spammers to start spamming there with useless discussion.
4227  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gazeta's reputation thread: 1000 merits in less than a year on: October 20, 2020, 08:20:10 AM
Congrats mate, you got what you deserved. If some contribute to the forum then the forum can give back something like merits. It's not an easy task to earn merit nowadays and seems your merit ratio is quite a good comparative with your activities. I can't recall how much merit I had earned in a year, but all of my merits by earn. You proved once again earning merits and rank up is possible for good contributors although it's hard.

By the way, the reputation thread shouldn't self-moderate and merit doesn't relate with reputation.
4228  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Go-Overt - Bitcoin Mixer 2.0 Signature Campaign | Hero/Legendary $40/Week on: October 20, 2020, 04:43:23 AM
Payments have been sent out for the 1st week.
4229  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinBene - The World's Leading Trustworthy Crypto Assets Platform on: October 19, 2020, 04:30:31 PM
It's quite surprising to me you aren't using an SSL certificate or something similar on your website. User's credentials are a sensitive thing when using an exchange. Sometimes users have been using the same information on different sites although everyone should avoid such a thing. I had tried on several browsers, but all browsers have been showing your connection isn't secure. Probably new traders from the forum will not signup who knows about secure connection. Please fix it as soon as possible if you want to draw attentive attention from forum traders.
4230  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: October 19, 2020, 04:20:16 PM
~Snip~
We have no business with the exchange, hence this claim on their website is false. We see that the exchange has since removed it.

Thank you for your vigilance, Kavelj22!
I had noticed it first time on their old announcement thread and I had raised a question there. Most probably they removed it after my question and create a new announcement thread. I think this isn't a good sign for an exchange that is using false information on the website without getting permission from the BestChange. Also avoiding questions from the announcement thread and create a new announcement thread is quite suspicious behavior IMO. Personally, I won't trust them with a penny.
4231  Other / Meta / Re: Is this plagiarism? on: October 19, 2020, 04:09:42 PM
I think @mole0815's explanation is valid. Usually, I don't report plagiarism this way (I mean hadn't been using the report to moderators. It's better to report in the LoyceV thread. So global moderators would take appropriate action since all moderators can't ban a user.

Yea, it's proven plagiarism which should get a ban. Hope global moderators will notice this thread now and taka an action as well.
4232  Economy / Reputation / Re: Goodbye, world! on: October 19, 2020, 03:40:08 PM
Really unexpected leave like a death. Since admin bans your account you have to read posts here as a guest, I am assuming you aren't not missing to read. As others said including admin, you were a good contributor overall. I don't know what happen suddenly that forced you to leave this forum nor I will ask. Just live with your new life and be happy. Forgot about all the arguments of the forum, its life and there will be many things. Stay safe wherever you are.

Since admin considers banning the account so I don't think any negative feedback or flag is appropriate here. At least I am not gonna support it.
4233  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AI face detection on: October 18, 2020, 05:24:55 PM
Fake team detection is very easy since fake photos exist on the web. But it's quite complicated to detect AI-generated photos since it doesn't exist on the web. AI creates a unique face, but sometimes there would a few symptoms like some spot, detected teeth, and so on. That's how we have detected AI-generated photos. I am not aware if there is any trusted software to detect such as AI-generated fake photos. Otherwise, we can only assume, but can't be 100% sure with the evidence.
4234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has the properties of an employment opportunity on: October 18, 2020, 05:08:14 PM
It took a few minutes to realize that the post about what? Eventually, realize when reading the above posts. Yes, OP writing about the forum earning, most probably about bounty and signature campaign. You are getting paid, but this is precarious. We don't know really that you are going to get paid or not. So I don't think posting on the forum or doing a bounty campaign would be an employment opportunity. The forum is for open discussion, earning from here would be considered as a passive income, but not employment IMO.
4235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did bitcoin lose its value? on: October 18, 2020, 04:45:35 PM
I think OP mixed up about bitcoin price and bitcoin value. You may simply search on Google what does mean value.

Quote
value
/ˈvaljuː/
1. the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.
"your support is of great value"

So, by the above reference, we can say bitcoin value is fine till now although we can't see much impact on bitcoin price. Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and its value fully depends on the community. And the bitcoin community growing rapidly with mass adoption.

If you are wondering about price, then also it is on positive movements. Even there is a global pandemic but bitcoin trading price is on an uptrend.
4236  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All Exchangers scamming now on: October 18, 2020, 04:00:21 PM
If you are wondering that you will earn money quickly from trading on the exchange, then you are in the wrong way. Like other platforms, there is no shortcut way to earn money from exchangers. Bots are on every exchange and it's nothing new here. But if you don't have enough patience then trading isn't for you. Do you think no one getting profits from the exchange? I don't think so, otherwise, no one will trading on the exchange. Before trading you have to choose a reputed one, so you will have less fear of exit scam by exchanges.
4237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A lesson, disadvantage of storing seed into the device. on: October 18, 2020, 03:39:07 PM
As you said, everything is disposable. In which case, whether you are saving your seed on an offline or online machine or a piece of paper, it could still be gone. Machines could get destroyed as much as papers. Even if you etch your seed on a piece of wood, it could still perish. So basically the lesson here is not to avoid saving your seed on a machine but keeping several copies stored in different locations.
I think you hadn't read the thread carefully. I know everything is disposable. My goal was of this thread to spread the word that you shouldn't store your seed in a machine and you should write your seed on multiple hard papers to save it in multiple places. So that all paper wouldn't destroy at the same time. Means even you shouldn't save in a single house to make sure wouldn't destroy all for fire.
4238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges are guilty of preventing Bitcoin mass adoption on: October 17, 2020, 04:47:56 PM
I wouldn't agree with OP, exchange really isn't preventing bitcoin mass adoption. If there is no exchange then it would be quite complicated to deal with bitcoin IMO. I know exchange is responsible for the pump dump, we can say it's a shady business, but not prevention. Exchanges make it easier to spend your bitcoin, for example, already given by you. Price manipulation and preventing adoption shouldn't judge by the same criterion. But I have to admit, if exchange avoids such as shady manipulation then we might see more bitcoin adoption.
4239  Other / Meta / Re: If you see a copy-paste topic from newsletters on: October 17, 2020, 04:32:38 PM
If I notice a user just copy-paste directly includes ads of articles and simply add the link on the bottom of the post, then no, I will never send merit on such as a post. There should be included a few valuable and constructive discussions by OP, then I might consider to send merit if the post is useful for me or for the community. Those users practice this thing, I doubt most of them have an alt account which has been doing a signature campaign. But good thing is, a few managers don't accept such as posts for weekly payments. I think when all managers will do the same thing then users will leave such as behavior. I someone wants to share news, then simply he can paste the link only with a title. So if someone is interested to read then they might proceed. No need to copy-paste the whole article.
4240  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 - some changes on my trust list and possible why. on: October 17, 2020, 03:58:10 PM
The good initiative so far. The reason would right or wrong but the user's opinions wouldn't be the same here. The forum is for open discussions, my opinion would match with someone or it would stand against someone's opinion. But I think this isn't a criterion to exclude or include someone on the trust list. Sometimes even I wouldn't agree with someone who is on my trust list, but I don't remove that because they don't agree with me or I do not agree with them.

Anyway, excluding or including doesn't mean it should remain forever. Life is variable and our behavior would change from time to time. You have done a few good jobs as YOSHIE said which is honorable.

Removed you from my distrust list as well.
