I don't think it's a normal thing to do. In Morocco, Algeria, Turkey or Tunisia, alcohol is legal. Muslims shall not drink it, but anyone is able to buy a bottle. This is a sign that the Iraki politicians have no plans to turn their country into a modern democracy where people are free to choose what they want to be.

Well, that's exactly what they want to happen: more immigrants in Europe. It's a plan that has been thought well for a long time. Otherwise, why everything looks like a coincidence to this? I mean come on, almost all the news we've seen recently are only reasons for them to keep coming in a higher and higher number hoping for better. I don't like alcohol but it shouldn't be banned. There are Christians in Irak too, not just Muslims..... This isn't going to end too well. How can they do that to their own people? No alcohol, no music, no kites, no strip clubs? Yup, whenever bitcoin is the topic of conversation I proudly present myself as a bitcoin enthusiastic. But most of the general public here still don't know about or don't care about bitcoin. Bitcoin is sometimes getting a news coverage but is still ignored. I've tried to explained my family what bitcoin is, how is it obtained and how it is changing the world. It was not an easy task. But I think I was successful in doing that but I can't do that for other people.

Why would the USA try to contain China in the first place? These countries are cooperatimng many years already and as good partners they are interested in the prosperity of each other.
In the modern world almost all the countries with just a few exceptions are connected much more than some governments are saying to their people.
Yes, no need to contain anyone in the modern world. There will always be a feeling of who is superior in what but in current times economy and technology are the first frontiers. China and USA cannot go as far to affect the daily life of their general public. |

Most people rebel from force. So, forcing them isn't helping them. People that have a hang-up that they don't want to have - like a habit - often want to be forced out of it. Why? Because they know they should kick the habit. They want to kick the habit. But they just can't do it alone. They want somebody to free them from it.  I agree to this. Thinking good for others backfires yourself. Nothing can cure hypocrisy. Just teach your children what the sex organs are made for. |

True. Very poor performance in today's game and they are playing slowly. Only 13 overs left and they still need 84 runs which means 6 runs per over minimum. With just Dhoni on the ground, I still have hope but he needs to save his wicket till the end with just bowlers left to chase the runs. India is the no 1 team at the moment. 6 runs per over in ODI seems a piece of cake when you have 5 of your wickets left. Edit: Dhoni got out so it's 6 down but still India on better position. |
