4221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: January 2021 — share your gambling experiences on: January 22, 2021, 11:51:01 PM
Oh well, I wanted to at least control my gambling this 2021, however, in the last 12 hours, I was bored and feel like gambling so I deposited around $50 to a gambling site and turn it into $80 so that's a good start for me. It went as high as $85 then completely stop at $80.

So I'm going to play again in the next 6 hours and see how my luck is. Hopefully I can double that money in my favorite slot games.  Smiley
4222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Cherry Burst at $41,515 Jan 8,2021 on: January 22, 2021, 11:36:39 PM
We haven't started the bull run in 2021 so I don't think that we are going to wait for 4-5 years because obviously $41k is not the ceiling price of bitcoin this year. If history are going to repeat itself, you have to look at the start of 2017 and then the eventual bull run in the end. <$1k at the beginning and finished it's cycle at almost $20k.

Although this is not going to happen as bitcoin exponential growth is going to slow down, but a $100k price is doable this year. So no we are not going to wait for another 4-5 year to see the price goes in a massive rally again. Bitcoin's narrative has change as well if you are not aware of.
4223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Grayscale trust update rumor on: January 22, 2021, 11:11:14 PM
https://twitter.com/AcolyteCrypto/status/1352644092472115202?s=19
Just have came across this tweet. Can anyone tell me this is true or just a rumor made by group of people to hype some coin? I can see some shit token is there which makes no sense to be there at all. Can anyone?
I don't trust that twitter account to be honest, so I won't give any credibility to that. For sure Grayscale is a very intelligent trust fund and wouldn't just invest on such shitcoin. This tweet is probably to shill for one of those shitcoin in the list.

But thanks for this post, at least we know that someone out there are still creating a lot of fake and unsubstantiated post to create hype, very scammy and fraudulent practice here in crypto space.
4224  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] 10 fake wallets on Google Play - please report them on: January 22, 2021, 10:45:28 PM
This one seems fake as well, a Binance app, and obviously using Binance logo. It might steal users credentials.

Official app is:

4225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 22, 2021, 10:25:07 PM
I also heard about this the other day and thought that at this point, Pacquiao is doing this for the money and not for honor and anything of that sort. He has mentioned a lot of ‘retirement fights’ for the last decade and I can’t see when will the dude actually stop. He can still square with a lot of ‘em and it’s unbelievable how fit and ready he can still be if a potential fight is around the corner. McGregor will surely put up a fight, though in the end this will be a Pacquiao win given the huge gap in experience and technique in the sport alone.

McGreggor if will be aggressive, this fight might end in round 1. I think McGreggor respect the power of Paquiao than Mayweather as looking at Paquiao's resume, one can already tell how beast he is when in the ring, however, since Paquiao has already matured in this sports and he knows what fans are looking, he might not easily KO McGreggor but will make sure he is in control of the fight.
For sure Pacquaio are also going to entertain the crowd so he won't go with the KO early. He will just toy around and let Conor hit him in the corner and let the crowd cheer for that. Yes, we can say that Pacquiao is doing this for the money, and so everyone does as well.

Same with Conor as well, he is the best entertainer in MMA and Pacquiao is still the cash cow and his name is still relevant in boxing and fans are willing to buy tickets for his next fight.

That's one shady gambling site, I don't know how you get yourself found them. And I do hope that they didn't scam huge amount on your end.

There's no way of getting back your btc, the best thing you can do is raise awareness from your experience to this community.
4233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos ordered by IBF on: January 16, 2021, 11:08:40 PM
When Lopez was pitted against Loma, the odds was also highly favorable for Loma and unfavorable for Lopez. It was also perceived that a sort of a miracle was what Lopez needed to beat Loma. Loma was -400 to -450 in the betting odds. But it turned out that Lopez was the better boxer that night.

I am not saying Kambosos has zero chance of winning. The man is young and strong and in fact undefeated to be fair. But with all objectivity, I will also stick to Lopez on this one.

I agree that Kambosos is a good fighter and has a good future in the boxing industry, but he is up against a top caliber fighter who just comes out from wins coming from two top fighters in the boxing world, Commey and Loma and he showed class and domination on these two great fighters, but I don't want to rule out an upset Kambosos also has power in both hands.
Just Loma though, I think his fight for a title eliminator against Japanese Nakatani is the most difficult fight that Lopez has face in his career, even his father admitted it.

He can give Lopez a tougher fight, here's Kambosos recent fight, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiNgbWlol_o

Sharp jab, with a decent speed, but I'm not seeing any upset happening, unless he hits Lopez with a perfect shot.
4234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 16, 2021, 10:43:09 PM
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the winner of this fight will hold all the heavyweight belt, and it will be first time in history that one person holds everything.

There has been other undisputed heavyweight champions before but that was before there was 4 major belts in each division.
Right, well we can include Klitschko brothers holding all the major belts in the heavyweight division at one time and call them undisputed because obviously they aren't going to fight each other.

Yes, a lot of hype around this fight, whoever wins will become held all the belt, and the sure winner here is the British fans. Gypsy king all the way, Joshua's getting knock out again here, worst than Andy Ruiz I.
4235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what would satoshi do? on: January 16, 2021, 09:55:31 PM

hypothetical question i guess but just curious for views of the community...
on what would satoshi and original development team (whoever who or they are) do differently
if could travel back in time and it was to write the white paper again today with all the knowledge and experience gained from adoption,
development and state of economy and worldwide community today??
many thanks!
Scaling? I think if they could travel back in time, they will have to find a way to solve bitcoin's scalability problem, specially on how Satoshi cap the blocksize, because he didn't anticipate that his invention will grow this big in the last 10 years. But other done that, it's a perfect creation by Satoshi, no one will disagree. It has drastically change the financial landscape globally.
4236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 14, 2021, 11:41:06 PM
I am happy for Harden for being traded finally. Because Rockets don't seem to gather themselves together. Harden has been complaining about it. I think Kyrie-KD-Harden trio will do awesome things together.
That's the expectation, they are now the favorites in the East and hopefully Harden's decision to play with the Nets is not a wrong. I thought Lebron can only build a super team, but here they are, they build a super team, I think this team is better than the Warriors big 3 with KD playing.

I'm excited to see the first game they will all play.
What do you mean not gather themselves together?

It's the same story for Harden to be honest, they blow their opportunity, not once but twice against Golden State. Chris Paul criticized him in the media, and it's obvious that he is instrumental in Paul being traded. Then he got Westbrook, still the same story for him. Then they acquire John Wall, still they are not winning so now he demanded himself to be traded. And there are rumors that he and Wall are not getting along:

So best of luck to Brooklyn.
4237  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin over 30k on: January 14, 2021, 10:35:26 PM
in the last 2018 period there have been many people selling their assets, then investing in bitcoin and ending with a sad story. Hopefully this year many people will learn before deciding to invest their money.
I agree with you that those people who invested in bitcoin in 2018, and then ended up with a sad story, will not do this anymore.

You sure about that? I saw someone on my crypto community on Facebook who has lost a good amount of money in 2018 after he bought almost at the peak of the 2017 ATH. He got so impatient as the bear run lasts more than a year and sold more than half of his bag. But, that's how he learned how the price of Bitcoin moves. Sometimes you gotta learn the hard way.
He's back on track now, slowly acquiring Bitcoin because he already had a long term plan.

Yes, I hate to say this, but sometimes we crypto investors need to loss money to really gain a lot of experience to help up propel to the next level. Maybe they did lost a lot of money, but in return they got a valuable lesson on how to invest in bitcoin. There are risk involved, the price are not going to rise parabolic. Most of the time those little bumps along the way are what we needed to really understand how the market works.
