Microsoft Flight Simulator
Some trivia: Microsoft Flight Simulator predates Windows by 3 years and, released in the late 70s, is the longest running software product line from Microsoft.

I can see their slogan now.
"Bitcoin from a name you trust.
IBM"
This will further confuse the great beast who already thinks Bitcoin is for criminals.

Ok, thanks old seals with clubs: Your cashout of 0.38 to 1PtuuKPwm9nmmFEyvnJBsqfjn51uHjTqda has been received.
I have taken my change home just like you told me to ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Well, I just wanted to bump this because while it's not terribly important for me to get this 0.38 mBTC from you, I did request it over a week ago and haven't received any payout yet. Again, I ain't mad at you if it never happens but since you guys keep emphasizing "please cash out" I figured it was worth saying. I'll credit you 1 full chip on SwC Poker if that will make it right And that's why your games are the king. You got too much class dude.

Ross ulbricht was actually a very smart dude and the amount of technical and financial knowledge required to accomplish something like the silk road is quite impressive. Although he did make some stupid mistakes it's understandable considering he was one of the first to do something like this. People have learned a lot from ulbrichts mistakes and new dark net markets are safer because of it.
He could have start an other legal start-up or go build SR in an other country. I suppose he could have set up SR in a worse location. He could have tried to find empty office space somewhere near 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. although most of us would have chosen possibly Bhutan or Cuba.

As interesting as this argument is and what your opinions are on policy can we please try and keep this on topic and not go on too much of a tangent? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Isnt the tl;dr of this topic "Its bad to give money to terrorists"? And its been pointed out that the US government has given significantly more (Enough to give every US citizen a decent standard of healthcare) to terrorists than this guy did, but many people dont seem to have a problem with that. Surely that makes policy a real important issue... You are absolutely right. It's laughable that the U.S. government can call any group a terrorist considering the information that is available about the horrible things they have been doing since WWII. The CIA has been committing terrorist crimes globally since before most other terrorist groups were in diapers. Read to learn more: http://www.globalresearch.ca/a-timeline-of-cia-atrocities/5348804

Does anyone really think Bitcoin will break $1k anytime soon? Do we have another China/Gox bot situation about to happen?
There is always a possibility of some huge hacker attack aimed at some leading exchange. If something like that would happen bitcoin price will once again reach $200. Without any sudden and bad news we are on the good path. But thinking about reaching $1000 now it just a little too much. Not when $300 threshold is yet to be reached. New companies and VC money entering the market is great news but we really need a bunch of new users buying consistently or a lunatic huge exchange operator with a bot jacking the price up.

Both of them are cute. I'd do either one without complaint.

Any idea how much longer it will take to complete?
Repaeting: Slickage told that they are at the end. So I think we can see a alpha/beta/stable release by 1-3 months. -MZ Thanks

Well any individual can create crypto so why not they? Question is whether they want to in the first place. Probably it won't be something decentralized like what bitcoin is so it will be centralized and that there's always a form of control. Again in the end i don't think that they will ever need to do this.
Anyone can create a coin but they can't force people to use it. Just look at all the shit alts that come and go. Without people behind them they're worthless and will die a quick death. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmerchant.mintchipchallenge.com%2Fassets%2Fimages%2Fmintchip_dev_promotion.jpg&t=663&c=IE45WmNii9mhQg) ROFL - FAIL Haha. Did they really copyrite it? Of course, they needed to make sure they had absolute control of the loser. lol Government Bitcoin copycats will never be successful because they can't offer the things that draw people to Bitcoin. Even Bitcoin won't survive if it strays away from them. Money that's controlled by no one, auditable by everyone and secured by the world cannot be copied by a government. Money controlled by the govt, closed source and secured by the govt is called fiat. We already have that.

They could buy all Bitcoins currently in existance with the congressional budget for champagne and condoms. I don't think there has ever been a purchase large enough to be a government.

No need to "Question Authority" all the time... ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) though you need to question a 'dencentralised' system having 'authority' ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Threads like this make me believe people need a central authority to make them feel successful. If there's not some big rich powerful collective guiding the direction they aren't happy. Or maybe they're just greedy fucks looking to cash out at the earliest opportunity and big rich powerful collectives will help them do that faster. the irony in gavin only having to convince 5 people to make the change, thats a hell of alot less people then had to be convinced for the too big to fail banks to be bailed out...........hmmm gotta love 'decentralised' cryptocurrencies...such a great alternative to the centralised banks controlled fiat. The only thing left to do is wait for all the mining to be done in a couple of super farms in China and some corporation to become the source of the official client. Then you and I can cash out and move to something else. Bitcoin will keep working just fine. The dollar never stopped working I just don't want to use it.

I'm not saying this to be flip but have you called your service provider?

Well children do copy cat what they see around them.
Yes, that's true. That's why I think it's highly likely that you've spent a lot of time growing up around dishonest people. The kind of people who would say "17 year olds aren't dangerous" and then contradict that in the same thread. I'm not saying this to argue with you. I'm saying it so there's clear evidence that you're not capable of having a rational conversation about a topic. It could be useful in later threads when people make the mistake of responding to you. You've also given a good example of the phenomenon I mentioned earlier in the thread (when it was still about Bryce Weiner). A lot of people in the cryptocommunity (including me) are against the rising police/surveillance state. However, people who can't think very clearly can't see that both the police state and jihadists are real and dangerous. They aren't mutually exclusive. However, certain people give cues that indicate "We will think you are one of us if you believe jihad isn't really a problem." To be accepted as part of the group people parrot ridiculous and ahistorical nonsense. And make very dumb decisions like donating to ISIS. Maybe you simply misunderstand me because I like to be humorous. I would no more agree with donating to a terrorist group like ISIS than I would agree with donating to the CIA. I'm an isolationist. I believe if we weren't running around the world pissing people off they wouldn't bother trying to blow us up. Stripping away your freedoms with legal loopholes like the Patriot Act would be unnecessary. Americans will eventually lose their right to bear arms, freedom of assembly, freedom of speech and a host of others if people don't stop it now. The problem is there seems to be too much blind patriotism without much thought about the process. WWII forced us into this role of world police force and we just can't seem to shake it. It's costing us a fortune abroad and destroying our freedoms at home. ttyl
