I confirmed that ghash is the only one working several days ago.

thanks I knew I read it.  so with sidehack finding mmpool.org and you finding ghash  we are  at two.
42382  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will anyone buy a BTC miner now? on: August 27, 2014, 12:32:43 AM
Just wondering if anyone now will buy miners to mine. Considering the price... Cry

I sold off quite a bit of gear and I am holding btc.
42383  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New difficulty: 23844670038 +20.86% - Sucks! on: August 27, 2014, 12:27:03 AM
it is in their best interest to limit growth under 10%  and mine more then sell.
This makes sense in way. The problem is in whose interest is it for a person with a miner to not use it in order to keep the hash rate down?  Every miner except the one idling a valuable asset.

None of the big players are going to slow down their deployment of their existing investments to reduce difficulty increases. The investment depreciates too rapidly. The question I have is will the changing difficulty picture make new investment in next generation mining rigs infeasible? Are they willing to gamble on increasing BTC value?

yeah If aisc's flatten out at .4 or  .5 watts    the incentive to build them after a lot of research and development costs is not really there.

Heck I could argue in an empty cold country like Greenland, Canada, Russia building a cheaper power plant makes more sense then building a better chip.

If you can make a 2 cent a kwatt power plant/Data Center combo  for 1 cent a kwatt  over 5 years…..

your power price for the next 5 years is 3 cents a kwatt.   That plant would be really valuable for miners   it may be easier  to build cheap  20-50 mega watt Data Centers instead of building

.1watt chips.

The next king of mining maybe the super DC/hosting service.  They only do the hosting and at the right price safely.

Lee from this thread   is making a move at a super center

but he has had a lot of issues getting it on line.

this type of mining may be what we get to do.  I would hope he can get it to work well.

I've got a list of pools I've tested so far, with the error messages returned.

So basically right now they only work with Ghash and probably Discus Fish?

I can deal with a small shipping delay but being able to mine only at the Ghash, not cool. Has anyone contacted FC about the situation? I emailed help@bitquan.com from FC's post with the info that sidehack posted.

side hack posted mmpool.org works on this thread

If I've tried it, it's posted in #201 above. I can only test stuff I have credentials for, or stuff folks supply me with credentials for to test.

nicehash or westhash you only need a btc addy see above

He also tried p2pool, and that does not work either.

he added nicehash and westhash due to me.  not that it matters since they did not work. LOL!

so far one good pool.   I think but am not sure I read that

https://ghash.io/   also works.   maybe someone can confirm this?

But how do I sell them? I mean how to I transfer them from one account to the other?

I dont see any "redeem" or sell option on my dashboard at zen, where the hashlet are...

Any advise will be highly appreciated

you run a thread on that site offer them for a "fair" price.

some one agrees to buy them.

most likely will want escrow.   the escrow service is here.

https://hashtalk.org/t/escrow-service-now-available/6478

the buyer sends funds to escrow.

you send a pm  to

 zenminer_eric

 zenminer_kaeti

the transfer get done by staff.

they post a pm that it is done and you contact escrow service and get the funds .  a bit slow take 3 days or so.

WOW, they just increased the price on the hashlet to $25per MH. I am glad I bought the 30MH at $16...

Does anyone know if I can sell them?? I am sure people will be willing to pay $23.50 which is 46% profit on top of what I was able to mine for the last week...

Please let me know if there is a way to sell the Hashlet...

Thanks in advance for your help

do you have an account on https://hashtalk.org/

this is a sales thread I did

https://hashtalk.org/t/sold-okay-i-have-1-ant-s-3-to-sell-kept-open-to-show-details-are-done-correctly/8405

here is a very big sales thread.

some one else did.

https://hashtalk.org/t/selling-account-over-1140-mh-hashlets-25-000/8527

this is where it gets done.

if you purchased 30 for 480  sell 25 for  20 each = 500   you make 20 bucks and you have 5 shares in your pocket.

mmpool.org, I don't know but my guy Novak mines there. If I'm reading packet contents right it's requesting a 2-byte extranonce2 but doesn't throw an error when it receives an 8-byte.

and right now this is the only working pool for the tubes?   well looks like I get to join a new pool.

have you tried nicehash or westhash?  they are a bit weird more of a service then a pool   .     works okay with s-3's.

you just need a btc to mine

worth a shot
to see if they worki

I noticed you wrote mmpool works what pool is that?
42391  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round1 Ends, Round2 Starting Soon] on: August 26, 2014, 09:48:21 PM
Newest version of proxy, after firmware update, ozcoin and eligius report the same errors. I also tried btcguild and got "REJECTED: (-2, u'unknown', None) about a berjillion times. I don't think it even polled a starting vardiff properly.

mmpool worked alright, but I was borrowing credentials for that. The pool picked up the full hashrate though, no rejected shares.

edit: stratum.bitcoin.cz reports the same error as ozcoin
us2.eclipsemc.com "REJECTED: (23 u'H-not-zero', None)"
api.polmine.pl "REJECTED: (23 u'H-not-zero', None)"

mint.bitminter.com "REJECTED: (20, u'Extranonce2_size violated', None)"

sidehack what is mmpool?

yes in my bank I am 1.30 usd in the black.

I will get about 40 dollars in cc rebates.

So that is 41.30 ahead even with a complete total failure of BTC itself.

But I also have .157 btc

I also have:

 4 single miners--------------4.0mh
 1 fury-------------------------1.2mh
total ---------------------------5.2mh

 1 s-3 ------------------------470 gh

Hi de_ixie from hashtalk

I sold one of my antminer s-3's

I have achieved 100 percents of all money put in.

I put in 1801 usd for all the goods.  I sold off some and Now have 4 single hashlets 1 fury and 1 antminer s-3 for me.

this comes to 5.2mh and 470 gh total  my cost is fully paid off and I am .15203701 btc in the black along with the gear.

so 1801 usd in 1801 usd back in btc form which I have converted to lock it in.

so zero cost has been achieved .  and for 0 cost

 ____________________________
I now have 0.15203701 btc

and 5.2mh

and 478 gh s-3 miner for nothing

to be clear mine item is marked accepted  by the post office   and my complaints are not against canary or sidehack. I am  just frustrated over  delays and the events that happened to me while waiting.

so canary and sidehack please accept apologies on my part.

best regards Phil

@ sidehack let us know how the setup goes photos details  etc.

Anyone that has miners in this GB hosted with me, I just arrived back at the shop with all of them in hand. I actually beat the DHL truck by about 4 hours which is funny considering I had a 400-mile drive, but we got everything unloaded and checked over. I think Canary was looking at pulling an all-nighter to get stuff sorted out and start shipping ASAP. He was pretty upset with the truck delays.

In any case, I'm gonna go take a nap what with the driving all night thing, and then start putting miners together. These dudes seriously have 164 screws per machine. Also make sure you note the board orientation on the heatsinks before strapping the fan on. In fact I think I'd advise mounting the boards to the heatsinks before sliding the heatsinks together, will probably save some hassle.

Also anyone hosting with me needs to get me their pool credentials so I can load these guys up and get 'em running without delay.

I wish I knew you were going to pick yours up assemble them  and host them.

I would have never purchased a label and had you do mine.

moan and groan and moan some more

not at you or canary but AM/FC was a bad boy.

I wasted 36 on shipping and maybe a week of time by not letting you host mine.

if you get them running let us know.  I am venting because since I placed this order

 1) my cooktop caught fire- 800 usd to replace it still waiting as it is on back order
 2) my 18 month old washer broke 900 usd  still waiting for it to be replaced as it is on back order
3) i replaced my out door built in grill went smooth but cost 2ooo usd  as wife wanted stainless steel
4) i have to drive 200 miles round trip to help out my brother-in-law get un expected exploratory surgery

So sitting in front of a pile of parts does not appeal to me right now.

oh welll

at canary i am sure you are as annoyed as any of us.  1 am  just venting  as i won't be able to sit around at my leisure and tinker.  in my case the post office and am/fc will do okay  i will be lucky to get time on tues next week to assemble

so sept 3 for up time at best.

if i knew sidehack was picking up and hosting jumping past me in line i simply would have not purchased a label and let him take one more and host it for me.
42396  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain Antminer S3 - 441 GH/s Bitcoin Miner on: August 26, 2014, 05:51:30 PM
Possibly free  Smiley Just wondering what I could be earning with this.

get it if it is free and your power is under 10 cents a kwatt

mine at westhash or nicehash same company .

westhash covers north america.

nicehash covers the rest of the world

you will earn about 600 usd with it.

if it was free and your power is 10 cents a kwatt.

not to mention all the nice heat it gives off in a cold spot in your home.

if your power is over 20 cents the call is a bit harder to make
42397  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 1379$, Dragon 1.5T bitcoin miner, 0.7 w/ghs, shipment fee and PSU included on: August 26, 2014, 02:41:15 PM
sorry, correction, unlike old a1, they just deduce 89$ for PSU, sorry, so the price should be 1290$

this works for me  do you have a link to your website so I can order one to be shipped to me in New Jersey USA for 1290

I will send payment in about 3 -5 hours
42398  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #1 on: August 26, 2014, 02:02:04 PM
I just spent about 25 minutes trying to help a buyer here by printing a label to ship to canada.  I could not get one printed so  I was not able to help him.

At   finksy   it will not allow me to enter quantity on the customs page. sorry
42399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My pool experience with cloud zenminer dot com new thread old was locked. on: August 26, 2014, 01:18:22 PM
what are your electric costs going to be per day once the free hosting month is up?

okay the s-3's will be 90 cents + 90 cents = $1.80  a day.  this comes to about 10 cents  a kwatt

the 4 hashlet singles will be 32 cent a day

the fury is free for 90 days.  but would be 11 cents

so:

 1.80
   .32
   .11
______
2.23 usd a day

im my house 2 s-3's cost about   750 watts x 24 = 18000 watts or 18 kwatts my NJ price is 15 cents or 2.70 a day

So I am paying 47 cents less and getting the bonus 5 mh of hash.

42400  Economy / Services / Re: [www.easy2mine.com]1379$ shipped dragon 1.5T and 999$ dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: August 26, 2014, 12:58:33 PM
sorry, i have to admit that we made a mistake and donot evaluate very well on the power reliability of the current data center we use,  most offline issue comes from the fact that too much equipment are allowed to run on the electricity net and lead to the automatically power off because over-load, we will transfer 1/3 of our miner in this data center to our new data center within several days  and low the host fee in this data center  after this round, meanwhile, we are talking with lketc to rent some place on their professional farm to provide host service,  where not only can support as much as  20,000 unit dragon, but also with very professional design and very stable power supply, we almost make the final deal with them,  if everything going well, we should make the final agreement within this week.

if you get this done and will host the bigger 1.5tb units i may want one or 2 of them
