4241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance in trouble over listing scam defi token on: September 06, 2020, 08:21:43 PM
There is the defi token called "SUSHI" which was listed on binance a while ago. Unfortunately the founder reportedly exit scam leading to the price dropped 60% off just within 24 hours. https://news.bitcoin.com/sushiswap-founder-reportedly-exit-scams-as-sushi-token-price-tanks/. A lot of traders has gone nut on CZ Binance on Twitter claiming that he deleted some of his post about the project

CZ Now he thinks of himself as the boss of the crypto market. Because he has the biggest crypto exchange binance and websites like Coinmarketcap. We have contributed to getting him to this stage, but he is now abusing that power. Listing scam projects does not result in any loss when a huge listing fee is available. Binance has been saying listing fee zero in their announcement for the past few months, but I think they must have hidden fees, otherwise such shit projects have no power to be listed. So don't trust any exchange and the owner of the exchange, they will always be waiting to see how you can be trapped.

If the community is not careful, the owners of the exchange will do whatever they want. So before buying any coin you have to be extra careful and do good research about the project. Otherwise the owners of the exchange will take away your funds with  scam projects.

Btw. Cz have the habit of deleting tweets is old. He keeps tweeting nonsense, and deletes tweets when criticized by the community.
We can't blame Binance for this exit scam because exit scams can happen at any time but binance listed those shitcoins a bit early that is why it got so much hype around it.Why people are going made over the project which was just listed on the finance, even if there is no exist scam there could be hard dump for sure and that is what actually happened.Get mature and start to act like a trader not a chaser.
4242  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020 Money is king Again Good news on: September 06, 2020, 06:26:27 PM
Money is king for now because there is a crash in the investment sector all over the world but you are not supposed to hold it as money for longer term because the lost value will get recover if you invest the cash the value will grow but if you keep it as fiat itself the value will depreciate due to inflation and in some countries the inflation is about to hit double digit due to the economic crashes due to covid 19.
4243  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taxes for Airdrops and Rewards? on: September 06, 2020, 05:12:19 PM
Anyone else?  So if you get waves to your waves wallet from leasing or other wallets like that... but you don't sell them... do you report that?  That also makes no sense because until you sell it... what if each one is worth 5 dollars and you got say 50 for the year so two fifty profit.  But you didn't sell them or anything or trade it but then later on it drops to 0... so you pay taxes on that two fifty... but then get screwed when its 0?  Because if you do report that, wouldnt you have to sell it immediately to not get freerolled so to speak?

I don't report anything anywhere, since there's basically no way to trace my coins to me until I actually decide to sell for fiat, but wait, I can sell for cash. Now, is there a way to trace coins bought and sold for cash back to me? I'd like to see them try Wink For now I'm clean since I don't have to report unrealized gains and I also don't need to report realized gains until a certain amount.
If you're worried that it might drop to 0, maybe you shouldn't invest in the first place. You don't need to be a master of TA to know that it will nevr go to literal 0, but even if we think of something like $100, it would need years to drop that low. You'd have plenty of time to sell at 6k, 3k, 1k and all other strong levels.
I think he is not talking about the bitcoin so he may not have enough time to sell that shitcoin before going to zero!

OP can use p2p or decentralised exchanges for the conversion of that token into bitcoin or ethereum then sell it in peer to peer if you don't want to get traces but if the government made such rule then you can't deny it or else it will be tax evasion.
4244  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid 19 shows how weak People are in the it mind on: September 06, 2020, 03:20:08 PM
This covid 19  shows how weak People are in their mind instead of complaining everyone need to Think how They can benefit from this new situation.

Stop complaining and see this as Opportunity!

We have now more Opportunities then ever before!
I think this covid 19 is good time.
The banks giving now even more money!
And You do not need to worry about paying back loans just wait for 7-10 years and debt will expire.

There is so many Opportunities now
Debt will expire? Banks or charity you are talking about!

Did you default any loan like personal loan, car loan, credit card loan or housing loan? Your credit history will be damaged and you can never get loans anywhere in your life time until you clear the previous ones.

Yes now you got the opportunity to get loans but what you will do with that money when the every business is scratching their table. Tongue
4245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: September 06, 2020, 01:27:30 PM
Every crypto lover wanted to spend their bitcoin in their daily life routine but it can be possible on very few locations and even not for every purchase so for now we should support the bitcoin until there is a mass adoption or else bitcoin may never reach its goal to spend everywhere.

Is there any bitcoin ATMs working inside a big supermarket in the world? If yes then it could be the temporary solution for this.

4247  Economy / Economics / Re: The number of jobless people has crossed one million in US - worrying sign? on: September 05, 2020, 07:59:20 PM
Want to know why the U.S. economy is in free fall? Why restaurants and bars are closing, putting millions out of work, and why the airline industry is facing possible bankruptcy? Why schools across the nation are shutting down, leaving students to fall behind and parents without safe places to send their children everyday? Why the stock market is plummeting, wiping out the retirement and college savings of millions of Americans? Why the elderly are isolated in nursing homes and tens of millions who don’t have the option of teleworking have no idea how they will pay their bills?
BECAUSE WE WERE NOT PREPARED FOR THIS.
So we should blame the God?

Or the people who are competing each other for their personal benefits between religions, borders, etc!

Ofcourse we are not prepared for this pandemic but we should survive and we will for sure but there will be lot of suffering in this process, every individual has to save themselves if they don't want to die in starving.
4248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: i wrongly sent USDT To ETH address please help on: September 05, 2020, 05:54:57 PM
Stake website have access to those wrongly send funds and Binance has nothing to do with this issue, so only person who can send you back is someone from stake administration but I guess they might already have this in their terms, so they can keep the funds if they wish but better you can contact the support of stake and let us know what they replied about this issue.
4249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is predictably a guarantee in an uncertain world on: September 05, 2020, 04:23:58 PM
You can't use the word guarantee because even satoshi is not sure about it, bitcoin is going to stay here forever but we need people to use to have value for it and to bring changes in the economic systems. Smiley Bitcoin is an infant until now people are gaining trust towards cryptos especially with bitcoin and regulatory measures are also getting implemented in some countries so lets hope for the bright future.
4250  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump signs executive orders banning TikTok and WeChat on: September 05, 2020, 12:07:59 PM
^^ and it seems another player has come into the picture, Oracle throws hat in the ring for TikTok US operations purchase: report.

Quote
Oracle is reportedly considering the acquisition of TikTok's operations in the United States, a move that could set the company up as a competitor to Microsoft in securing a deal.

According to the Financial Times, the tech giant has held preliminary talks with the Chinese owner of TikTok.

And another news is this, This be TikTok CEO Kevin Mayar exits, and his reasons? "The decision to leave, after joining on June 1, is due to the political environment 'sharply' changing.". Everyone is really trying to get their hands on Tiktok and I don't think that Trump can do anything about it.
I heard that if an American company buys Toktok then they have to pay a part of the payment made to the government as a form of tax or something like that, is it really true or just a rumour?

Meanwhile Instragram rolled out the tiktok like feature in their platform which is exact replica of Tiktok so already lot of users might moved to Reels!
4251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Top 10 DeFi Tokens on coinmarketcap in Loss on: September 05, 2020, 10:02:06 AM
Even the price of bitcoin was in huge red after a good bullish rally, so I guess the crypto market is in correction but talking about the defi projects alone some of there are getting dumped more than 20% in a day which not really normal so people who are holding such tokens should be really careful.

There are also defined project dumped more than 50% of its price and that's not good sign if you are a long term investors. This is only proven that you should not trust too much on the market hype if you don't want to lose big . Better to invest in a project that is proven already not those project come with just a new idea and make a hype for their project.
You can read my personal text to find what kind of investor I am. Cheesy

Talking about the defi tokens especially it is not only crashed so there might be a chance for the prices to get recovered but not all so play with the risks for huge profits or invest on bitcoin for long term profits.

4253  Other / Meta / Re: Legendaries need love as well. on: September 04, 2020, 09:45:27 PM
Sometimes I had such thoughts as well, some legendaries are not receiving enough merits just because they had no more rank to reach so it is important to add one more rank to bring the race towards merits or legendaries should not worry about their merits anymore just be themselves forever?!
I'm not quite sure what you're saying as a whole here, but I really wish Theymos would add a rank above Legendary (or restructure the ranking system entirely--a complete overhaul wouldn't be too bad IMO).  Then again, I've said this before:  the number of Legendary members is probably going to shrink over time, as older ones drop out via attrition and new ones are made at an extremely low rate.  In a few years, you might not see a lot of Legendaries posting on bitcointalk, but we'll see.
I meant to say that either we need to have one more rank above the legendary or the legendaries should not care about their merit counts anymore to overcome such feelings. If we didn't implement the merit system then by now we might have more legendaries than member and newbies, so the merit system is working but may need a tweak in this particular case but only theymos can decide what can be done.

4255  Economy / Economics / Re: "Warren Buffett invests $6 billion in Japan's five biggest trading houses" on: September 04, 2020, 06:40:01 PM
and in what he will invest outside the US market.
I would have said BTC, but it is out of the picture for Warren Buffet as he considers Bitcoin a speculative asset and he doesn't understand it. But what makes the news big is that companies/corporations and billionaire individuals are investing outside the U.S/fiat economy, and even if Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway will not invest any of their assets in Bitcoin now, other firms will, when they consider moving a bit out of the U.S economy and that's good for BTC. MicroStrategy has been one of those corporations that have diversified their assets into Bitcoin this year already, with a few others. With how things are going with the pandemic, economic plunge, inflation, recession, and how companies want to invest in anti-inflationary assets, Bitcoin could have a year like never before in 2021.
Warren Buffett is not going to invest on highly volatile assets like cryptos especially bitcoin, but I will not be surprised if he invest on any crypto based growing companies because it is same as traditional investment but making on relatively new companies compared to the fiat based investment.
4256  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: September 04, 2020, 05:34:11 PM
Going cashless and going decentralized are not same, if we making more adoption towards the banking cashless transaction then there will be less protection to our funds and transaction history because you can buy credit card details on darknet if you want and in most of the countries, there is not much severe action for such crimes.
4257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to bitcoin! on: September 04, 2020, 03:23:20 PM
Is it manipulation? or just not breaking the resistance of 12K Area?
I am shocked of this recent drop and i am a long term holder, what do you think it will happen? just a correction?
Means whales decided to buy more bitcoins so be a smart one and you also start buying bitcoin when it is available for cheaper.

Bitcoin price is highly volatile and its not something abnormal, if you are not familiar with that then get used to it and start focusing on long term goals to avoid shock like this. Tongue
4258  Economy / Economics / Re: Remote Working and Inequality on: September 03, 2020, 04:51:08 PM
Before the work from home concept implemented everywhere the AI technology will take over all those job opportunities so they are nit really.eeded anymore and in future there will be more inequality in the wealth distribution and don't know what people will do for their foods if all the jobs are acquired by AI robots.
All jobs won't be acquired by the AI robots that's for sure and even if they are acquired by the robots then also there will be new jobs created for the jobless people. People say that in future we won't be needing doctors anymore and the work will be done by the robots, but as a matter of fact the doctors would still be needed to monitor those robots, all they are going to do is to assist the doctor in the surgeries. Same applies to trading too, Wall Street is being run by the AI trading interfaces and yet there are countless jobs there too, everyone needs a good trader now and then.
Robots and AI both are not same, if there is a complete AI robot which can do surgery then it eill have more success rate than human and there will be no need for anyone to monitor them because they have their own thinking ability

Forum rules treat everyone in the same way irrespective of their ranks but still we are humans right so when we see positive trust creating or high number of earned merits then we consider them as trusted member.I advice the members to stay as yourself even if you are earning more merits, it can give you opportunity to join on campaigns but other than that there is no use of them, build your reputation not just farm it to exit scam.
