4241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty alone is not enough on: July 04, 2019, 07:41:45 PM
I think it's high time projects know that they cannot rely solely on bounty and airdrop as a means of promotion. A lot of projects launch and they rely on their bounty campaigns and airdrop to help bring in investors and therefore fail to reach their softcap.

I never said bounties are not effective but it should only be used to create and reward their community not to bring in investors. If a project wants to promote it crowdsale then the team should deploy real promotional means like paying top influencers, attending conferences, advertisements on top sites like coinmarketcap, etc. Because no matter how good the project is, if it can't market properly then it won't reach its goals and if a project is mediocre but have a top notch marketing program, it will succeed beyond expectations.
They use those bounty rewards to spread the coins among people so they also start using it. It is actually a very effective way to promote their project. First of all they are getting their promotions done through the bounty hunters and secondly, they can easily pay their bounty hunters using their own tokens which also helps the usage of the project.
Not sure what you mean by they are "used to bring in investors"? Do you mean that bounty hunters are "the" investors or they are helping to bring in investors. I don't see anything bad in both cases.
4242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Would Really Buy Facebook Coin? on: July 04, 2019, 06:32:20 PM
Everyone who can will buy the ICO tokens. Provided it gets listed on exchange, the price will always be pumped from time to time except Facebook has no intentions of listing it on exchange. If its going to be a stable coin, how will investors make profit or will commission be paid out to investors?
Crypto currencies are not always about making profit. The same thing goes for Libra coin. If the coin is going to be a stable coin, then you won't make any profit from holding it. Now, if you don't make profit from holding a coin, will that mean that you won't be using crypto currencies anymore? Stop thinking about the profit only, and start thinking about the huge advantages we get from using crypto currencies.
4243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Manipulation of cryptocurrency exchanges. on: July 04, 2019, 05:30:07 PM
Yeah, it does happen happen a lot especially on most of the shitty exchanges. They create fake volume of transactions to make them seem. Again, you will see those unknown tokens with huge volume of trade to manipulate the price. That manipulation is done mainly by the coins support or the creator themselves to increase both the price and trade volume of the coin.
4244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I need some advice on setting up a crypto casino on: July 03, 2019, 08:16:01 PM
What functions do you consider necessary on the site?
Describe the perfect crypto casino for the player in your opinion.
Let me save you some trouble. Don't open a crypto casino now. There are tons of well known casino out there. The market competition is quite high. Why would someone join a new casino and trust that casino despite their being other reputed casinos? You should be providing something new and exclusive feather that other casino don't have.
4245  Economy / Economics / Re: The Risks and Rewards of Cryptocurrencies on: July 03, 2019, 08:11:52 PM
Risking our capital is not good at all time. Yet, we have seen many evidences of pay-outs and the money they received from investing, crypto is also a risky investment. There is no such thing as real rewards here. In fact, even rewards at the bounty campaigns are ruined by scam projects. If we just get rewards, probably the little one that suits to our bill fees.
Any sort of investment means you are taking a risk. Invest on a business and you have a risk of losing everything due to failed business. The same thing goes for crypto currencies. Invest on wrong time and sell at the wrong moment, you will be suffering huge loss. Lose track of your crypto currency investment, you will end up with nothing. Bigger the risk, higher the profit is!
4246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for bitcoin holders, after falling price now Bitcoin Surges above 12% on: July 03, 2019, 08:07:44 PM
The short fall of the price was probably due to some whale cashing out his profit and then buying back whatever he sold at a lower rate. Thus the price dropped suddenly. This sudden price drop also made an opportunity for people who were "missing out" to invest on bitcoin at lower rate. The recovery was real quick. Hope to see the price staying stable at this point for few weeks before we see it growing again.
4247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some Risks Of Long-Term Hodling Alts on: July 03, 2019, 07:08:56 PM
  • You might end up holding dead coins if the project gets abandoned
  • You might miss swaps and end up holding worthless tokens
  • Delisting of coin/token and you miss the withdraw period (in case you store coins/tokens on exchanges)

Take time to follow news/updates on the coins/tokens you invested to minimize the above listed risks. Checking up their telegram/discord/social media once or twice a month will help.
This is going to happen if you invest on some random new coins. So, if you are want to hold altcoins, then invest on coins that are well known and has been on the market for a very long time. Just make sure you do your research before investing on a new coin.
If you store your coins on an exchange, this shows that how irresponsible you are and you deserve to lose your coins (sounds harsh but thats the truth).
4248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix is gonna film documentary about crypto on: July 03, 2019, 05:58:47 PM
This sounds great. Yeah, people can learn more about crypto currencies through this documentary, but what if the documentary spreads only bullshits among the people? What if the documentary ends up being biased and just emphasizes more on the negative aspects of crypto currency? People now a days believe what ever they see on the internet!
4249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A new kind of scam in telegram using gambling site on: June 28, 2019, 10:11:40 PM
The guy is so fast to delete our conversation in telegram and block me, I think he's been doing this for a long time and already victimized people.

He will introduce himself as the owner of a gambling site [forgot the name of the gambling site also) he will invite you to invest in his gambling site and make you a winner of their dice game, the catch is you will divide the pot and send him 50% of the winning pot.

Sounds interesting, I asked him that he send me Bitcoin so I can deposit and do what he says, he told me that many people have already scammed him doing that, but when I ask him how old is the site, he told me that the gambling site is old and trusted one urging me to deposit now, but I told him I would fall to this because the site has no traffic when checking on Alexa..

If I made a deposit I'm pretty sure he will block me.

The guy blocked me I wish I  made a screenshot I was waiting for him to prove that the site is legit.

So beware there are so many scammers lurking there and this is one of their methods.

Most people use telegram to scam people. Do you really think a random person from the internet would come and offer you something really good without being sketchy? If offers are too good to be true, then there is something fishy. I am assuming he will tamper the bets to allow you to win in dice and then you will have to give him 50% of the winning pot? This means he is scamming other investors. High chances he just wanted to you deposit on his fake casino and would run away with your money. Anyone with a little bit of common sense would understand that this is just a form of scamming.
4250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: June 28, 2019, 09:54:33 PM
The traditional norms made us believe that savings are a safe option to store your wealth.
But is it true now?
With inflation, we all know that the prices of the wealth we have kept in our savings account will decrease. What is the use of saving when ultimately we are not even able to enjoy what we have been saving for years?
The smarter option?
Investment! Investment is not gambling if done rightly. Very often we see people not putting too much effort into learning and jumping into FOMO. They don’t have enough guidance that will help them to invest better.
What you said about the inflation part is true, but that's for a very long term. Your value will decrease if you keep it for saving due to inflation but that will take ages. As soon as people see that the price of things are rising, they will eventually start to spend from their savings. That's a natural phenomena, when inflation starts to take place, saving starts to reduce. People starts to withdraw and invest due to more expected future profit. Investment does have its risks too. Make wrong investment and you will lose everything.
4251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hospital That Treats Bitcoin Gambling Addicts? on: June 28, 2019, 05:01:49 PM
Lol, I didn't know there were hospitals that treated people with gambling addiction. There are psychiatrists or psychologists that help people with gambling addiction.
How does looking at the market graph makes someone a gambling addict? Investing on crypto currencies is not a form of gambling by the way.
4252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need partner to bet with on: June 28, 2019, 04:58:59 PM
i need partner who has an account in bet365 or planetofbets who is able to bet no less than 0.1 btc for some chosen matchs of foot-ball with higher odd 1.7 to 2.00  . for each bet he must give me 40% of the gain . i am expert in foot. only serious people plz
Lol, so you are not risking anything? You just want to make "your partner" bet with his money and then if he wins you take 40% of the profit? Are you kidding me? Zero risk on your side and 100% risk is on your partner. Lmao. Only retards will fall for your scam.
People stay away from this guy. Read his trust rating.
4253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand risk in crypto on: June 28, 2019, 04:55:13 PM
Yes investing in cryptocurrency is very risky and I can attest to that after my investment failed in 2018 where I was expecting a bull run but it did never happen so there during the bear I lost much of the money. Now, I am starting to learn more about how risky it is investing in bitcoin but if learn well then there could be a fast and easy money.
You invested on the wrong time. You invested just because of the hype. And also, you haven't lost anything if you haven't sold any coins. The values  of the coin dropped, not the number of coins you invested. Just keep holding it until you reached your desired profit goal.
And stop considering crypto currencies as a way of making fast and easy money!
4254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra vs. Bitcoin - What's the Dif? on: June 28, 2019, 04:53:01 PM
Thanks to those who made the topic so with this I know what is the difference between Bitcoin and Libra, but even though many say the Libra coins will be very good later but until now I still survive in Bitcoin and if in the future Libra has seen as a good coin then I will  take both for investment and trade
I don't see how it will be "good" later. It is a centralized coin. Its just like paypal, but it will use blockchain technology. Hell, some won't even consider it as a crypto currency. Everyone won't be able to mine it (only selected group)! This is more like a digital currency.
Trust me, you will be making better profit by investing on bitcoin only.
4255  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: June 27, 2019, 10:38:49 PM
Hackers are always one step ahead of us. Why don't you outsmart them? Just don't store your coins unnecessarily in an exchange wallet. If you have to trade or exchange your coins, then make a quick exchange and just remove those coins from there. No matter how much they say that they are very secure, they are always vulnerable to hacks. Also, try to secure your account by using extra layer of security such as 2FA.
4256  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When will Bitcoin bump into bottom again? on: June 27, 2019, 10:33:24 PM
New article: https://promo.raidofinance.eu/whenbitcoinbumped

When will Bitcoin bump into bottom again?
Spoiler: till the end of 2019

All feedbacks are welcome (positive and negative)!

We don't know. The price might crash anytime without any prior warning. Look at what happened during the last price crash. No one knew that the bull run is about to end and the price will crash down to $3,500 USD. If we knew when the price would be at the bottom, then we all would be quite rich (or the even won't even take place since we already know what will happen and thus change the course of the event).
By the way, this is actually a very bad way to promote your website  Roll Eyes.
4257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook launching libracoin, what happen will 2020? on: June 27, 2019, 10:25:50 PM
Recently I saw a news about Facebook crypto. Facebook Authorities saying that, they launching a new virtual currency called Libra. I heard libracoin will release in first half 2020. I think, it is very big news for crypto revulation in whole world. Once a time facebook was not support crypto/virtual currency but now they launching their own currency. Many people says Libra project will help crypto globalization and developing bitcoin and other coin centralization. Many people thinking, Libracoin will very popular like as bitcoin.
Ban all crypto currency related advertisement and then make your own crypto currency. Lol. This is just straight hilarious. Again, if you didn't know, this is going to be a centralized coin with heavy regulation. Why would we need a centralized coin when we already have e wallets like paypal?
Many people who think Libra will be very popular like bitcoin is actually wrong.
4258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why drop in price when listed on exchange market? on: June 27, 2019, 09:43:07 PM
I guess you are talking about the tokens from ICO projects. When promoting a project, they spread out the tokens in different ways. There are bounty programs, air drops and different campaigns were user are rewarded with those coins/tokens for a month long participation. Once the coin is listed on an exchange, those people who received those tokens/coins as a rewards tend to sell their tokens for other coins. Thus, the price starts to drop sharply as soon as they are introduced to an exchange market.
4259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anything can be bought by Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2019, 06:33:16 PM
By Bitcoin started buy and sell products in the market many days ago. By Bitcoin can be bought a lot of product now. Example such as, From Overstock.com, any kind of product can be bought through Bitcoin. Many such business entities currently accept Bitcoin as currency and sell their products. Homes has been sold by bitcoin in various countries. By bitcoin can also be purchased product on many online websites, and Amazon and BMW accept bitcoins.

It is assumed that, at this time using the credit card instead of the money, Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency will be used instead of money and credit cards in the future world.
I don't see anywhere overstock.com mentioning that they accept crypto currencies as a form of payment. Again, most of the sites are not directly accepting bitcoin or any other crypto currencies as a form of payment. You will have to use third party sites where they will make the payment on your behalf and you pay them with crypto currencies. Again, you can also do those indirectly by buying gift cards with bitcoin and spending those gift cards.
I don't think amazon is accepting crypto currencies yet, are they?
4260  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: My blockchain wallet was stolen!!! on: June 26, 2019, 06:23:25 PM
I was using my Blockchain Wallet always with 2FA code! How could this have happened?

Please help me! What do you recommend me to do right now?

I installed some widgets on my computer to track the price of bitcoin, I think that must have been it!
Track your wallet address. If the funds haven't been moved, contact support as soon as possible. If you are an old blockchain user, you probably backed up your private key. That key can help you recover your funds if it hasn't been moved.
Never use an online wallet to keep your coins. They are not secure at all and is always vulnerable to hacks. And yeah, it is probably those widgets you downloaded. You should clean your computer.
