No matter the color, without a link for reference it worth zero, 99% of the time.
People are desperate...
4242  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BestMixer is gone, seized by the Financial Crime Investigation on: May 23, 2019, 02:40:25 PM
There is this post from another thread, I found it interesting. This is ambiguous but a mixer is truly legal up to a point. I guess if set up correctly the person behind is safe. They just have to shut up and take the money.. Could be interesting to check Bitmixer.io just out of curiousity

...So I stumbled upon this:

While cryptocurrency mixing services are legal, "The legality changes when a mixing service advertises itself as a success method to avoid various anti-money laundering policies via anonymity. This is actively offering a money laundering service," said Fokker.

So for as long as mixers don't show a faq as to why you should mix your coins (which Bestmixer had), they're perfectly legal? Or are there other factors at work here

4243  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do you feel about businesses that stop accepting Bitcoin? on: May 23, 2019, 01:19:33 PM
I used to spend some bitcoins with Fiverr until it stopped to use it. Well no big deal, another site get my money, no wrong feeling. Enterprises aren't really interested in BTC itself it's rather to respond to demand and/or to increase their sales. Very few are real BTC enthusiasts.

What you never know, and that's a shame, is why they leave Bitcoin once it's introduced. It cannot be a matter of volatility because, as I said, most of them convert into fiats. Is this a lack of knowledge, no adequate infrastructure or local laws.
Although on the user end everything is done to be easy to use on the business end there is still a lot to do.

4244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Authorities Shut Down First Bitcoin Transaction Mixer on: May 23, 2019, 09:10:37 AM
You have to admit that hosting your servers in Europe may not be a good idea when you run a mixer. It's like making waves with your Tshirt "Hello, I'm here, look at me!"  Cheesy I have to re-read some reports but I think it comes firstly from Macafee who snitched.
I still believe that if bestmixer got busted it's because of the lack of anonymity in its service.

Also, something I found interesting is the website displaying "bla bla bla seized.. YOU'RE NOT ANONYMOUS"
Making me think that's the first motivation was to teach a lesson to people. Including "you're not anonymous" in a text that supposed to be somehow "official text" is just using sarcasm. Why?
Why the news doesn't talk about the owner? Where is he? What are the charges?

Another thing, the same day a new mixer is introduced, I may be wrong but...got my point?...
this mixer is using cloudfare for ssl and cdn, to be sure to be hidden?
4245  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BestMixer is gone, seized by the Financial Crime Investigation on: May 22, 2019, 08:33:16 PM
I was trying to follow your logic since banks also use their platform to help 'scammers'. I'm not talking about a bank user who disputes a bank transfer or something like that. I'm talking about the billions moving around banks on behalf the criminals, oligarchy, Trump, companies, taxes evasion or whatever it is... Hello Panama Papers.

In the same way, they used banks to do their shady activities so we can say. I'm not saying we shouldn't fight illegal activities, just that they're doing it the wrong way. Well like they currently do with fiats. Mixers will always exist as banks do.

But the point is that you need to get that some people may need to use a mixer it doesn't mean they're criminal, believe me.
Otherwise, what are your argument to be against people seeking privacy and use a mixer (considering they do nothing illegal)

BTC that pass through mixing cannot go into Exchange because they would be immediately blocked, this is the harsh truth and is why they are willing to pay up to 5% tax.
Not true, or show me a link if you have.

Why do you think he was seized?
Do you really need proof that what passes from those mixing is almost all the result of crime?

We'll see more close, and if that will be useful to stop criminals I will be happy. One thing is for sure, I personally will not feel the lack of these services.

As if by magic they will disappear one by one these services, and with them their advertisement on this forum. It's only a matter of time.

Will, they shut down the whole US banks industry since the USD is the currency the most used worldwide? Only criminals use banks.
4247  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BestMixer is gone, seized by German juridiction on: May 22, 2019, 07:25:32 PM
I'm not taking you a fool...
Bitcoin wasn't created to be anonymous but transparent, there is a  difference between, otherwise, privacy would have been added to the Bitcoin protocol the day 1 by Satoshi.

If you don't have the need for privacy it's maybe because we have a different culture or something else. But I could give thousands of reasons to use a mixer even if you don't do something shady.

If you want to donate to Snowden what does it prohibit you to Exchange BTC for an anonymous one and then send it for a donation? Explain to me why I should use a mixing if I can use crypto anonymous
Nothing is stopping you to use a privacy-centric cryptocurrency.

It's called privacy @cryptoreggae and in some countries, I can guarantee you it worths a lot of money. It's not just about GAFA or your browser. It's about your whole life, but it doesn't mean you commit a crime.
It's something the Cypherpunk have been fighting for decades. (There is a good text to read 'the cypherpunk manifesto'). And when people started to think about creating a P2P currency, well before Satoshi and Bitcoin, they had privacy in mind.

4249  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bestmixer sig campaign possible scam on: May 22, 2019, 04:50:09 PM
He may have thought that the participants will not be paid seeing the site has been seized. And he maybe didn't know the user managing the campaign already has the funds for the week
From someone who wanted to create a Signature posters Union  he jumped fast in conclusion.
Scam is a word overused and I think some people use it without understand correctly the meaning
4250  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BestMixer is gone, seized by German juridiction on: May 22, 2019, 03:50:26 PM
If I remember yeah it's the first.
If bestmixer has been caught it's because how the mix is done wasn't so efficient. As proof, look today. I knew it already but it suddenly remembers me all the people claiming this and that is the best ever bla bla bla.

Look they even found how many bitcoins have been mixed and how many income they were making Cheesy

Here on the forum but I don't remember where. I went from topics to topics and ended on the post quoted, then I visited the website and that's how I saw it.

What's going on with this mixer

Am i the only one noticing that the domain has been seized?  is this known yet?[/url]

When a site is seized it's supposed to display the famous page "seized by abcd jurisdiction". However, the site is currently displaying 404 Not found. Are people worried just for maintenance (which could be just this) or there is something and the site is really seized??

Weird the site disappears, the exact same day another one is created

Edit:
The site has really been seized

4253  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-22] Bitcoin Recovers to $8,000 - Why The Market Sentiment Is Now Differ on: May 22, 2019, 01:44:59 PM
I don't know what the article is talking about but I haven't seen the $6,300 price during the past week (but move on). We got a $1,000 decrease during, what? 24 h? Bitcoin can do this within 12h or less, we all noticed recently the 'high volatility' coming back like during the ATH but it almost stopped once we got the $8,000 check the article graph (except during a day).
And I don't think it can be explained just with the CME Futures as the article points out. It started in April, not 2 weeks ago.
4254  Economy / Economics / Re: Price of goods goes up, salary never goes up!!! on: May 22, 2019, 12:36:01 PM
...

True, the salaries are re-evaluated but not in relation to the inflation and the cost of living and this is the problem.
It is pointless to give an employee $10 more per month when he needs $40 more to live because the prices have gone up. (Prices increase by 20% but the salary on 10%, you see the problem). Not even talking about people working for a salary not based on a minimum wage and so never re-evaluated.
4255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Gold? on: May 22, 2019, 11:49:41 AM

That's what I often say when I see people claiming "Bitcoin is the best investment". I know a lot of them have lost money during the crash.
Since I don't hear them anymore to say the same. A lot of people aren't so used with investments generally speaking I think.

Bitcoin is, in my opinion, far to be a store of value. SOV. is supposed to be a 'store your value' so your capital, how a cryptocurrency, volatile like BTC is, can help someone to 'store a capital' to avoid the risk to lose a %
4256  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Mixer (Tumbler) - Secure Your Privacy. MixerTumbler.com on: May 22, 2019, 11:14:57 AM
Nice to see another mixer.
If I may suggest,
- you should consider changing the typeface. The site design is clean but the current typeface breaks your design.
- Javascript is required otherwise people can't even open the site :/
- I am puzzled as for using Cloudfare as SSL and CDN too, the SSL certificate isn't a full SSL, just a flexible that belongs to CloudFlare (randomssl.cloudfare.com) and there is no encryption between (?) .

No matter, It will still remain a centralized currency that works the same way as it is currently. Just a new (digital) currency that uses cryptography. But it will remain the currency of the government and not of the people.
Government budgets are so complex that you need several doctorates in everything just to find how you will maintain your economic plan for the next year.
4258  Local / Le Bitcoin et la loi / Re: Compte à l'étranger à déclarer... en retard on: May 21, 2019, 10:59:39 PM

4259  Economy / Economics / Re: The Continuous Printing of Money on: May 21, 2019, 09:57:07 PM
The money is based on debt. What I got is if it wasn't possible to borrow money from banks the economy could not even exist. Too easy for governments and central banks to print money when its the population that will suffer from the result. I don't think people in Zimbabwe have a great life there. Too easy to charge people more taxes and to ask them to work longer. (to get almost nothing for your retirement as a 'bonus'))
At least with Bitcoin & its limited supply, you can't create unlimited bitcoins and can't produce counterfeit bitcoins.
4260  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges that let you withdraw FIAT to your credit card on: May 21, 2019, 08:48:59 PM

Why would you withdraw fiat to your credit card? That's my question.

Because some people may prefer to give their card numbers instead to give bank numbers. As well, some people may be using an exchange which deals with SEPA only while their bank account is using SWIFT, so they cant' receive a payment, the card comes as an alternative.
They may have an account from a pool (from EMIs) so they don't have dedicated bank numbers (but shared) and can't receive a payment from exchanges.

@OP
I think Cex.io has been the only exchange I have seen doing that.

Thanks, if cex.io is the only one, that is bad news for me because they closed my account Sad Add that to the suggestion a guy said earlier, that they are bad with fiat, and you have one bad combination.
I use Kraken for almost all my FIAT transactions but then they are not accepting cards.

NP. Years back there were more alternatives like ecoin (aka Wirex) but I don't know at all now since the site changed a lot, maybe it still has this option. There is a thread about Wirex here maybe you can ask in. Also sorry but I just remember about Advcash too, with Visa/Mastercard transfers out.
