4241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 07, 2020, 12:52:08 PM
It's a great thing that you have managed to overcome your obsession with mining shitcoins that are not valued at anything. You could also say that you are wasting the energy being used for your CPU and GPU. I think with that in mind, you could focus on better things like what could be more profitable in the long run or taking risks with trading. It could help you explore more options concerning exposure with investments and other valuable opportunities.

P.S. It's the first time I read those names of a coin. Lol
4242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any opinions about USDC? on: July 07, 2020, 08:05:27 AM
I have been using USDC as a trading base with my pairs in Binance. It's quite good because there's several available pairs there as well. When one exchange is accepting USDC, it's quite often that it's going to be widely accepted in another one, if the exchange is reputable, of course.

The causes of this fluctuation might be the trading between two stable coins and the effects of arbitrage between different pairs in the exchange.

Just like the other posters mentioned, it's centralized. Better than USDT, as they said.

even though people think so, tether will not be easily defeated
Is there a fight between the two? Lol, I think both could co-exist, it's just that USDC is currently being handled better.
4243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 07, 2020, 05:16:50 AM
It definitely is disastrous because most Filipinos give in to peer pressure
I think that's a destructive way of thinking. Giving in to peer pressure or giving pressure to someone who has better options on what to invest.

I do not think that this will affect the adoption though it will make a cautionary tale about the dangers of schemes that can be performed. To all Filipino in this forum, be careful because your friends might be inviting you to a scheme and they might not evn know that they are being scammed.
It could serve as an example for other un-aware Filipinos of this type of scheme but it's still the person's will in which they need to study and check what they are getting into. Don't get greedy in this one.
4244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 07, 2020, 03:32:14 AM
You know the sad part about this is, people are getting tricked by their "so-called Social Media Friends" into putting in money to the Ponzi Scheme without knowing that it is one. They put more results and results, and they are enticing people to join in that scheme, and it's the "easy" money. It's going to be disastrous, and I dislike them for doing that because it's going to make a mark on cryptocurrencies again.

People should learn that there's no easy money when it comes to life, and if there is, it's probably illegal.

I have kept warning people close to me that don't join there, and you might end up losing your investment there. Inviting people there means you are just in it for their money and don't care about what will happen to their investment there.
4245  Economy / Economics / Re: The freer the market, the freer the people? on: July 06, 2020, 08:59:04 AM
There are things that you could consider both free and still controlled by corporations or the government. What I'm talking about is performing transactions with other people, whether it's P2P or with a corporation.

If it's P2P, it's free from any influence of a third-party because it's between the two people. For corporations, it's the same, send Bitcoin and receive a service of some. The difference that you could have is when you convert your BTC to your local currency. That's where banks, exchanges, third-party service providers are at play, and you are no longer completely free.

I guess it depends on what type you are transacting and what you are doing about it. I think this is just a small step to more application of cryptocurrency.
4246  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to check on which account the AMAZON code was used ??? (SCAM..) on: July 06, 2020, 03:35:21 AM
The best way to protect yourself from hoodlums is hire a highly trusted escrow that could be the middleman between you and the buyer. Like before sending the funds make sure that the escrow has the funds and make the verification of the code as well?
This will be possible if both parties will agreed that the escrow will have the login access of the buyer, and will be the one who redeem the code.
I think it's fair in that way. Make sure the fee of the escrow is covered by the two parties involved in the transaction. It's probably best even though it's not that big of an amount but better safe than sorry.

Aside from that escrow can't do anything since buyer might say that the code isnt working even it is and want refund, or seller pushing that the code is working while it isn't so a dispute might happen.
Thinking about it, the seller could do that. I just realized when you said it. It's still a risk and the buyer should be willing to let the escrow use the account. That's why I stopped purchasing codes of some sorts because it might not work. Some sellers here in Selly.gg or something similar is quite risky for me now.
4247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware wallet was seized by US customs. on: July 05, 2020, 01:28:04 PM
I think whatever hardware wallet brand it is, it's possible to check if it was used, right? If there's a wallet already been created there, the seal would be ripped, and the box opened already. If the government is using the customs to check for possible devices like that, they should know that it's easier to just send BTC instead of a physical device in which they could seize it, right? I'm just thinking of the possibilities as well.

It's probably too late but congratulations on winning the competition, Jet Cash!
4248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Odds comparison on: July 05, 2020, 12:50:58 PM
I know what arbitrage betting is, as I'm a gambler I was pretty much interested with that idea before but I realized it's not easy to do it.
You probably need a software or something that would help you spot an opportunity to do an arbitrage betting.
Sorry about that. I was just surprised and confused about what you are disagreeing with. I should've used a different phrase for what I'm trying to say. Having software would be great to make the computation a lot easier.

Man, relax, that's just my opinion, please don't tell me that I will have to educate myself as I'm a long time gambler particularly in the sports betting and I don't need a wikipedia to educate myself, my experience alone is enough.
I just got the first link that I think is relevant to the conversation. Well, good luck with your endeavors in gambling! Share some strategies if you have techniques about arbitraged betting.

It's actually hard when handling codes. I have been scammed for a WoW Code here long before.
4250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Odds comparison on: July 05, 2020, 06:45:08 AM
I like the idea of where it's easily accessible. You could easily arbitrage this type of bets and compute the output quickly.

Sorry but I will disagree with your idea because there is no such thing called easy in arbitrage betting, especially if the information is coming from a free site.
What are you talking about? Do you know what arbitrage betting is? I didn't say that it comes from the site but you could do it on your own if you know how to do it. You have to put values in a couple of ways.

  • Stake 1
  • Stake 2
  • Odd 1
  • Odd 2
  • Return 1
  • Return 2

Don't disagree when you don't even know what I'm talking about. Educate yourself with this link

I like the idea of where it's easily accessible. You could easily arbitrage this type of bets and compute the output quickly. I haven't tried doing it personally, but I have watched videos in which you could profit from the odd differences between different betting sites. I think this could be helpful for gamblers who are into this type of thing.

I will be watching this thread from now on for future information and reference as well. Thanks for this OP.
4252  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Community Account Trading - Binance - ArBitrage Strategy on: July 04, 2020, 03:09:16 PM
Ok lang yan kabayan, trading is like gambling afaic. The most important part here is gaining that experience first hand that it's not all honey in trading even if we are using bot.
It's not magic, ika-nga. Pero tingnan natin sa susunod. Ayaw ko muna mag risk ulit ng pera ng iba for this. Sayang eh.

Ang objective sa bot ay padamihin ang btc kahit pa unti unti.
Focus ko ngayon is with USDT. Using yung Binance Futures. Naka USDT based kasi ang profit dun so dun ako nag focus. With BTC naman, sa Bitmex ako nag fofocus ngayon. Tuloy tuloy lang 'to para sa kinabukasan. Haha.

4253  Economy / Economics / Re: How Corona Virus changes our markets (with picture and charts) on: July 04, 2020, 02:58:09 PM
The need for money affected everyone. As the price of stocks and cryptocurrencies plummeted, there are probably a lot of people who sold everything for the emergency lockdown for the supplies, etc. When everything settled down, and people started to invest in it again, so technically, we have nothing to worry about.

Even when you checked the old stock charts from before, when the stock market crash happened too, the market came back even more durable. It's not always going to be positive with the market, and there should be ups and downs as well. There seems to be stuff that happens during those times, significant events for sure.
4254  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitsler is scame took my life nearly on: July 03, 2020, 03:40:16 PM
It's about 5400 bets before you lose everything, and chances of those 5400 bets having no success
You've done your calculation wrong. He didn't add 5k at losing, he doubled the bet value. And then it's only 12-13 bets. And 13 reds in a row can happen.
Oh yeah, I know he did martingale, but I didn't factor in when I calculated for those numbers. I should've made it clear. Thanks for clearing it out. He would lose around 12 losing streaks. It's sad that he just wasted a lot of money without taking risk into account. Blaming others means denial upon his fault.

If you are using the martingale strategy, it's not going to work on an 85% win chance. You wouldn't get enough capital back when you lose that, you need consecutive wins to recover what you lost, which is possible, but it's possible to lose too.
The Martingale strategy will always end up bad, the more you play the more the chances of consecutive losses that will either push the needed bet beyond the maximum allowed one will bankrupt you.
That's why I'm confused about his impossible claim. 85% is hella large with a chance to win. Even so, it's still part of the risk. It's gambling.

You are actually from botsler that why u saying that even 100 wins is possible on 1% can u show me 20 greens on 20% at bitsler? Never coz they are scamer. I mean you coz i onow you are one of them.and they wll give 50 reds as i know on 80% winings chances
Please post your actual proof first and show us where the scam is based on.
4255  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitsler is scame took my life nearly on: July 03, 2020, 02:29:21 PM
I don't think they work that way. Please post your account ID there or the screenshot of your history. It's impossible to have a no single win starting from 5k sats to 0.27 BTC. It's about 5400 bets before you lose everything, and chances of those 5400 bets having no success on an 85% win chance are impossible.

If you are using the martingale strategy, it's not going to work on an 85% win chance. You wouldn't get enough capital back when you lose that, you need consecutive wins to recover what you lost, which is possible, but it's possible to lose too.

This should be moved to another board.
4256  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Community Account Trading - Binance - ArBitrage Strategy on: July 03, 2020, 10:16:45 AM
After 3 months of trading, it was unsuccessful, unfortunately. I guess it's part of the experiment the losses. Since there's still no released stable of BitRage, I decided to stop with the current experiment to prevent any more losses.

For the ones that joined.
1. bisdak40
2. Darker45
3. plvbob0070
4. samcrypto
5. LogitechMouse

Thank you for participating. I'm sorry for the losses. Sana makabawi tayo sa susunod Smiley

For anyone interested in the trading history, I would gladly send it to you.

Unless the person Jailbreaks their Apple Devices and installs from unverified sources of apps, which would be dangerous, lol.
True. But in the end it's mostly the tech-savvy people who jailbreaks their iPhones anyway, so we probably can assume that they(at least most) know what they're doing in the first place. On the other hand I know a lot of people that own Android phones that installs random .APKs of cracked apps. Yikes.
I remember some buy and sell stores that also repair phones actually could jailbreak for you for a labor fee. I think not everyone is tech-savvy who had their phones jailbroken. I think they just want to get away with paid apps for free, which is actually bad and could be the gateway to your personal information on the phone. Installing random or "seem to be safe" APK's are could be the entry point to hacking your phone. Double yikes.  Shocked
4258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake MEW on Google Play on: July 03, 2020, 02:21:40 AM
Google needs to step up their shit. I used to frequently crap at Apple for their App Store being super restrictive and for their OS being a "walled garden", but I've recently been advocating for the usage of iPhones for non-tech literate friends and family due to crap like this.
I think that's what's great about Apple Store it's that it's not an easy task to get there and they are verifying the apps that go there. It's safe for the non-tech-savvy people who don't have knowledge with regards to possible scams that they could encounter. Unless the person Jailbreaks their Apple Devices and installs from unverified sources of apps, which would be dangerous, lol.
4259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The term and word (free coins) is completely wrong on: July 02, 2020, 03:12:40 PM
It’s not just in cryptocurrencies but anywhere in the world in which is something that says it’s for free there is usually an exchange for something. Most of the time it’s for your valuable personal information like name, email address, and contact number.

Everyone probably experienced this one time or another.

Personal information are one of the most important thing that you should not share with others because they can probably use your information to the future.
I wouldn't agree with you completely because it would depend on what you are exchanging it for. I mean if you do it online, it's quite hard to give trust on the website unless it has a great reputation everywhere. I believe that if you were to read the privacy policy of the one you are going to submit your personal information, they couldn't use that information without permission and wouldn't share it with any other corporation or something.
4260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock Fight on: July 02, 2020, 02:37:59 PM
According to my research, it started even during classical times where the Persians brought the cockfighting to the Greeks. There's no recorded final entry on where and when it originated but most experts say it started in Southeast Asia. [1] It has been all about the betting part on the cockfighting but some are entertained by it as well.

I think I have gotten into a great resource material for cockfighting but the link is already dead. All I found is this archived link with that website [2]
